“Hiya! I’m Pinkie Pie! I’ve NEVER seen a creature like YOU before! Except in that picture over there, which is REALLY good! I’ve never seen such a good painting before, not even from Paintbrush, and he’s the greatest painter pony EVER!” I had to concentrate hard to properly hear what Pinkie was saying, did she ever take a breath? “So anyway, whats your name? What are you? Do you live here? Are there more creatures like you? Do you have a family? Friends? A bowling alley? Can you talk? Of course you can talk! Cause you said hi just before!” The bright pink pony finally stopped to breathe.
Glancing at the others I saw they were all about the size of a Shetland Pony, though better proportioned. “Umm.. Well my name is Rebecca, and I, erm, I’m a human. I do live here and theres ahh, lots of humans all over the place… My family went away on a holiday and I have a few friends, I don’t have a bowling alley and your right, I can talk” I said, doing my best to answer each of Pinkies questions.
Pinkie beamed at me, the frowned. “What’s a hoomen?”
“Human, umm, well, me, I’m a human” I answered.
“Well Rebecca, I am Twilight Sparkle. Could you maybe tell us where we are?” Twilight asked, trying her best not to sound tired, but failing as she yawned loudly.
“You are on the Gold Coast which is in the state of Queensland in the country of Australia on Earth” I said “And no, this is not just a part of Equestria you have never heard of, it is another world which you have somehow gotten into.”
“A… A new world?” Fluttershy whispered.
“Yes, a new world, and your all welcome to stay here until you can find a way back to your own world” I said, not sure if I should reveal to them that I knew a lot about them, that there were thousands of people who adored them.
“Thank you, this will be an excellent opportunity to learn things even Princess Celestia has never heard about!” Twilight yawned loudly again and swayed a little on her feet, “nut first… I need to sleep, that spell took a lot out of me.”
“Oh, well you can sleep in my parent’s bed, just up those stairs there” I pointed to a short flight of stairs opposite the kitchen. Twilight nodded and wandered up and we soon heard the faint sound of snoring reached them. “Right, anyone hungry?”
“Ooh! Me me me!” Pinkie Pie said, jumping up and down with her hoof in the air.
“Okay, lets have lunch” I said, smiling at her enthusiasm.
