My Little Pokémon

The Game Guru

Twilight's lab, early morning.

"Vulpix!" Vulpix, who always stayed out of its Pokeball and roamed around the lab had held a flier in its mouth. The Fox Pokemon went up to Twilight, showing her the flier.

"Hm? What's this?" She rubbed her eyes, looking at it. "The Game Guru approaches Ponyville next. Be prepared to use the full capabilities of your Pokemon knowledge."

"Vul!"

"Game guru? Pokemon Knowledge?" Twilight looked closer at the flier. She then noticed the details on what the Game Guru brings with him. She read the list of games that can be done. "Poke-End, Passimian Pass, Poke-Dodgeball, Escavalier Jousting, Ditto-Art...Wow. These sound kind of fun actually."

"Espeon." Eve hopped up the table, looking at the list.

"Let me see." Spike checked out the list. "Oh. These seem pretty nice. When does he show up?"

"Probably before the afternoon hits. I wonder what Pokemon games are like actually..."

They're about to find out. Come 10:50, The Game Guru had made his arrival. He showed up in a huge truck with a giant blue box strapped onto it. Everypony gathered around to get a good look at this. Ash and Goh showed up, spotting the unusually large truck stop by Ponyville.

"Check that out." Ash gawked.

"Pika..."

"So this is it? All of that is in there?" Twilight pointed her hoof at the truck.

"Looks like it." Rainbow Dash nodded. "You think it's like a mini-Pokemon Festival?"

"I'm looking forward to that Poke-end part. What you do think it's all about?" Fluttershy wondered.

The blue box began gyrating, shaking uncontrollably. The sound it made was a bit uneasy and intimidating. But that quickly changed into fun when the giant box burst open with an entire plethora of Pokemon popping out of it. These Pokemon were Passimian, Escavalier and Ditto, The Pokemon listed in flier were all here. What also came out of the box was a stand of some sorts. One with a giant screen added on onto it. Many other Pokemon came out of the box, landing everywhere in Ponyville with such precision and style.

And finally, the man who ran the whole thing exited out of the truck. His appearance matched the colour of the box as he wore a blue suit with a blue hat. In fact, his appearance was almost similar to that of BigTime Ben. Height and everything.

"Here we are! Finally! We can get this started!" The guru spoke. His voice even sounded like Ben.

"BigTime Ben?" Sweetie Belle narrowed her eyes.

"What? Pssh...no. Not at all." He shook his head. "I am the great and outstanding Game Guru. A trainer who has mastered the art of Pokemon entertainment!" He raised his arms in the air with confetti flying everywhere. But, out of the truck came a Gothitelle, which solidified that it was indeed him. "Now. Who's ready to bask in the glory of Pokemon entertainment?"

"I am! Can we get started!" Pinkie Pie's head popped out of the crowd.

"Of course we can, my little pony. There's a lot to choose from and a lot more to experience. Let's make this a day to remember.

And so it was. Ponyville's first taste of what Pokemon entertainment can be like. And this is only the simple version of it.

The various attractions were laid out with each Pokemon being at their specific spot. The layout was similar to that of how the Pokemon Festival's attractions were laid out, making it feel familiar and somewhat comfortable in an odd way. The ones that really caught everypony's eye were Poke-dodgeball, Poke-end and Escavalier Jousting.

"How about we try...that one!" Twilight pointed her hoof over at Poke-End. That attraction was the one with the unusually large screen.

"Ah. The Poke-End game. Nice choice." Ben rubbed his hands together. "But this one is for those who are experts in Pokemon."

"How so?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well. Poke-End is essentially a game where...hm. How do I put this in the simplest term? It's about saying a Pokemon's name and taking the end of its name and following up with the next Pokemon. For example. If I said Reuiniclus, you'll follow up with Steelix. And then after Steelix, the next person will follow up with a Pokemon like Xatu. Then Ursaring and so on and so forth. Depending on the letter at the end of a Pokemon's name."

"Oooh...I get it!" Twilight got how the game worked instantly. "Sounds pretty simple."

"Oh, it is simple. However!" Ben exclaimed, making them jump. "There is one major rule you must take into consideration. You cannot say a Pokemon who's name ends in N. You say N, that's it. The game will be over and you'll have to start all over again. Also, this is mostly for trainers who know a lot of Pokemon. And I do mean a lot."

"That'll be a cinch. We've all seen a lot of Pokemon." Rainbow Dash nodded.

"It'd better be a cinch. Also. As a bonus, you can also do this. If I say Vanillish, you can follow up with Sharpedo. So two words that are identical also count. Got that?"

"All clear. All of us will go?" Rarity looked at her friends.

"Mhm. We'll take turns and ace this game." Twilight replied. "So when can we start?"

"Right now!" The Guru slammed a button, turning on the screen. Along with that, some music started to play. "You're gonna have to say it rapid-fire. No time for breaks!"

"Wait what?!" All 6 of them exclaimed.

"Mhm! You gotta say it each after 1 second passes. The naming begins...Now!"

"Oh, uh! Pikachu!" Twilight started off.

"Unfezant!" Applejack followed.

"Trapinch!" Fluttershy bellowed.

"Herdier!" Pinkie jumped up.

"R-Ralts!" Rainbow Dash stuttered.

"Skitty!" Spike blurted out, joining in on this.

"Yamask!" Rarity exclaimed.

"K-Kecleon?" Sweetie Belle shrugged.

"Ooh! Nope sorry. Kecleon's got an N at the end." Guru stopped the music.

"Aw..." Sweetie Belle groaned. "I blew it."

"Don't worry about it. Just a slip-up. But not a bad first try, everypony." The Guru nodded.

"Yikes. Thinking of a Pokemon on the spot is harder than it looks." Rainbow Dash sighed.

"The highest number of Pokemon trainers have named are 500. That's the score to beat."

"500?!" Twilight gasped.

"Don't worry. You don't have to beat it. All you have to do is reach a high score of your own. The recommended goal is 150. Each Pokemon you name is worth 10 points. If you can name at least 140 of them, you're golden. But that's already tough enough for you all so...50 will do."

"What do you think? Can we really name them all?" Pinkie asked.

"Of course we can. We've met so many Pokemon over the months. Plus, there's the Pokemon House which is just full of Pokemon. All we have to do is stay firm on our hooves and recall every Pokemon we've met. " Twilight reassured them.

"Sounds promising. Let's have a second go!" The Guru slammed the button once more. The music started up with the fast-paced beat running through their ears.

"Go!" Guru gave the command.

"Gyarados!"

"Swoobat!"

"Tailow!"

"Wooper!"

"Raticate!"

"Emolga!"

"A-Altaria!" Scootaloo stuttered.

"Audino!"

"Oshawott!"

"Tangrowth!"

"Houndoom!"

"M-M-Mimikyu!" Sweetie Belle hit her head.

"U-Umbreon?" Apple Bloom winced.

"And that's that!" The guru stopped the music.

"Oh! I messed up!" Apple Bloom face-hoofed herself.

"Actually. You didn't! Stopping at Umbreon was a good call! Sometimes the game can come to an end if you decide to say a Pokemon with N at the end. Each of you accumulated 130 points each!" He showed off the points. Their naming was just enough to almost reach the high score. "Ooh. Just short."

"So close!" Rainbow Dash groaned.

"But, for breaking past your high score and almost breaking the record, you get the second place reward." Guru gave each of them silver trophies with a Pokeball in the middle of them. "This whole Poke-end game of mine is still relatively new, so not many have taken part in them."

"So it wasn't that hard to break the high score?" Twilight took the trophy.

"Not really. But! Since you all did and were the first to break it, you deserve these. But I can guarantee you that next time, it'll get harder with even more points racking up along the away."

"Who cares about the high score? I got a silver trophy!" Rarity held the trophy close to her face.

"I'll break the high score." Ash stood from afar, smirking. "I'll get past 150."

"Hm? You sure?" The Guru leaned forward.

"Oh yeah. If anyone knows a lot of Pokemon, it's me!"

"Ash. I know you've got a lot of knowledge on Pokemon, but can you name them all without landing on one that as an N at the end? I mean...there's probably like a thousand Pokemon in the world. Maybe even a million!" Rainbow Dash flew over to him.

"Watch me." Ash stepped forward. "That first place is mine!"

"Pikachu!"

"Well. He's accepted it. Let's give it a third try!" Guru slammed the button, starting the game once more with the music moving at high-speeds. "GO!"

"Arceus! Snover! Rotom! Marill! Ludicolo! Onix! Xerneas! Spinda! Absol! Latios! Smeargle! Entei! Ivysaur! Rockruff! Frillish! Shellder! Elekid! Dragonite! Excadrill!"

"Holy moly!" Rainbow Dash turned to the screen, seeing Ash rack up points at ludicrous speeds. He had already broken past the 150 high-score, reaching 190. But he didn't stop there. He kept on going and going. He named four more, reaching 230.

"Xurkitree! Exploud! Doduo! Pikachu!" He raised his buddy up for that. "Uxie! Electivire! Reshiram! Mudkip! Pumpkaboo! Octillery! Yveltal! Lucario! Omastar! Rayquaza!" More and more points were building up at absurd rates. His score was the highest of them all, reaching 370. He figured that now as the best time to stop since he's reached a good enough level. "Archen!"

"That's that!" Guru stopped the music. "Whew...that was the most so far. That makes...370! Highest one yet!"

"Yes!" Ash pumped his fist.

"Pikachu!"

"Shouldn't have doubted his knowledge." Rarity said to Rainbow Dash.

"Here you go. First place's prize! Gold!" Guru had his Gothitelle bring in the heaviest prize. A gold trophy that weighed a lot. The trophy was placed right in front of Ash, causing him to jump. The way it shined dazzled across the town.

"Awesome!" Ash gawked at it.

"Pika!"

"Congrats, Ash!" Pinkie rushed over, looking at the trophy. "Oh...lucky. I would love a gold trophy! But I actually like my lungs."

"This is gonna look great with the others at Professor Oak's lab." Ash picked up the trophy.

"So. Any of you fancy other attractions?" Guru asked.

"That looks fun." Pinkie bounced over to the Escavalier Joust attraction. "Escavalier Joust?"

"Oh yes. An old fashioned sport that was popularized long ago in the Galar Region in 1066. It's pretty self-explanatory. Two Escavalier's with a participant on the back of both charge at each other, striking with their lances. It's jousting but with much more oomph."

"Escavalier, huh?" Rainbow Dash took out her dex.

"Escavalier. The Cavalry Pokemon. They fly around at high speed, striking with their pointed lances. Even when in trouble, they face opponents bravely. These Pokémon evolve by wearing the shell covering of a Shelmet. The steel armour protects their whole body. They’re very popular Pokémon in the Galar region. An image of one of its duels is captured in a famous painting of Escavalier clashing with Sirfetch’d."

"I'll take it!" Rainbow Dash chose this game as her choice.

"Great. Then who's joining her?" Guru asked.

"Um. I'll pass." Fluttershy hid behind Ash.

"I'll try it. Seems fun enough." Spike decided to give it a try.

"Hm." Guru looked at Spike, comparing the size of him and Rainbow Dash. "Seems fair enough. Alright then. Both of you hop on and we can get this started. Just uh...don't poke your head out."

Spike and Rainbow Dash were both seated on the two Cavalry Pokemon by sitting on their helmets. The area they would joust in had hard fences placed down by Gothitelle for safety reasons. Both of them had kept a faraway distance from each other as well.

"Oh. And for good measure. Escavalier, use Iron Defense." Guru commanded both of them. The two Bug-Steel-Types hardened their bodies for extra protection. The impacts they cause can be devastating if not careful. "You two ready?"

"Ready." Rainbow Dash grinned at Spike.

"On second thought. Maybe I-" Spike was having second thoughts.

"JOUST!" Guru gave the call to start. Both Pokemon wasted no time getting started. Escavalier aren't exactly the fastest Pokemon. But once they pick up speed, they perform amazing feats. Both charged at each other, scattering the snow along the way. Spike pulled his head back as he could feel the wind blowing in his face. Rainbow Dash squinted her eyes with her mane flowing back.

"Esca!" Both cried out.

The moment they came close, both their lances clashed with the tips connecting. A powerful shockwave emitted from their clash, causing the fences to almost fly off. Ash held his hat as Pinkie Pie was blown back. It's not exactly a smart idea to be close to two Escavalier's when they clash lances. The two had a small struggle with one trying to push the other back. The one Escavalier that came out on top was Rainbow Dash's Escavalier who pushed through its fellow Cavalry Pokemon's lance, striking its torso area which is the body of a Karrablast. The impact on Spike's Escavalier was enough to launch both him and the Bug-Steel-Type far.

Spike wailed, but he was safely caught by Rarity's magic, thankfully, whilst Gothitelle caught the flying Escavalier with Psychic.

"That's the joust! Winner! Rainbow Dash!" Guru pointed at Rainbow Dash.

"Woohoo!" Rainbow Dash raised her hooves, falling off Escavalier's helmet. "Woah!"

"So. What's next?" Spike wiped some dust off him. There was still a lot more to choose from.

They went through many attractions with various outcomes. The Ditto-Art attraction had everypony draw a Pokemon from their imagination or at least, a Pokemon they believed to be real. Even though there's a high chance that Pokemon exists somewhere considering the ever-expanding world of Pokemon. Once the drawing is shown to Ditto, it will transform into that Pokemon with the best of its abilities. And as a bonus, Rotom will enter your Pokedex and come up with a fake dex entry. For authenticity reasons of course.

"How about this?!" Sweetie Belle showed off her drawing. It was of a Meerkat that had flame patters across its face and tail. Its fur was crimson red along with its paws and eyes being yellow. It looked to be a Fire-Type. "I call it uh...Sear...kat? Searkat!"

"Ditto..." Ditto found the drawing to be...interesting, but it could work with it. The Transform Pokemon morphed its body to try and match the appearance of the Fire-Type Meerkat. It got the drawing down to a T by appearing to have the same appearance as an ordinary Meerkat, but with sharp flame patterns on it.

"Oh! It's perfect!" Sweetie Belle grinned.

"Off you go Rotom," Guru commanded his Rotom. Soon, Sweetie Belle's Pokedex had been infiltrated by Rotom as it meddling with its data.

"Now let's see it!" Sweetie Belle held out her dex, facing it towards the Searkat.

"Searkat. The Searing Pokemon. Searkat are commonly known for forming in packs of two to 30. They do this to build up 190 degrees Fahrenheit of flames that surround their soft yet blazing fur. Searkat utilizes this tactic to scare off its natural predator, Seviper."

"Yes! I love it!" Sweetie Belle picked up Ditto, shaking it about.

"Di-Ditto!" Ditto returned to its normal form from all the shaking.

"Oh. Sorry."

"Then...how about mine? I thought long and hard about this one!" Fluttershy squeed as she raised her drawing up. Hers was of a Grass-Type Pokemon of some sorts. It was based off was an Oak Tree instead of a creature. It had eyes that were always closed as it stood in a bipedal stance. Its arms were huge and perfect for hugging. It had your usual green leaves on its head, however, they had teal highlights on the tip as well. It looked like a friendlier version of Trevenant. "I call it Shrubhug!"

"Can you do that, Ditto?" Guru looked down at the purple blob.

"Ditto." Ditto indeed could. Its body morphed, changing its usual blob-like appearance into the shape of a stalk. Long leaves formed out of its head as it gained huge arms and hands comparable to that of a Machamp and Snorlax combined. Its eyes were closed, similar to that of Brock. The way its face looked made it seem like a Pokemon that was relaxed and laid-back. A perfect Grass-Type to some trainers out there. Not only that but it was huge. Almost as large as an Onix.

"Excellent! Scan it!" Fluttershy had a wide grin as Sweetie Belle raised her dex up.

"Shrubhug. The Nestle Pokemon. Shrubhug's massive leaves are perfect for relaxation. Flying-Types often flock to its leaves, claiming them as resting spots or perfect places to create a nest. The leaves on Shrubhug's head can also soothe and unwind any injuries caused to someone, no matter how severe. Trainers often bring a Shrubhug with them in order to heal after a Houndoom attack. The hugs it gives out can also replenish anyone that approaches it."

"I love it!" Fluttershy flew over to Shrubhug, hugging her creation. Ditto felt compelled to hug back. Might as well live up to the dex entry of the fake Pokemon. "I wish it was real..."

"That's cute and all...but does it compare to this?" Rainbow Dash held out her drawing. It seemed to be a superhero of some sorts. It had the body structure similar to that of a Lucario. The typing had been described by Rainbow Dash as Flying-Steel. It had a red cape made out of wings along with its fur being rainbow-coloured. The eyes of this imaginary Pokemon were rainbow-coloured as well. Everything about it, minus the cape was rainbow-themed. "Pretty neat right? I call it uh...Ouraniom!..Yeah. That's it." She came up with the name on the spot.

"That's some saturation." Guru rubbed his eyes. "But Ditto can do that as well. Alright, go!"

"Ditto!" The result of this new Pokemon was better than expected. Ditto had decided to improvise. Since its body structure was similar to that of Lucario, it figured that it should look like a Jackal. The wings turned out great. The rainbow colours had been toned down in order to be easier on the eyes. But as a bonus, they dazzled in the sunlight. Even its eyes dazzled, giving it a shiny appearance.

"Ouraniom. The Spectrum Pokemon. This Pokemon was once a Normal-Type that had been exposed to the radiation of Mega Stones that laid near the end of a rainbow. Instead of granting it access to Mega Evolution, the radiative energy transmuted its cells, transforming the weak Pokemon into a mighty entity. Ouraniom can be seen protecting people and Pokemon from a plethora of disasters and terrors. These Pokemon are usually paired up with Absol."

"I've never been so happy in my entire life." Rainbow Dash tearing up.

"These are some ideas. How about the rest of you? Have you come up with something?" Guru asked everypony else.

"Nah...Haven't really thought of anything yet." Ash groaned, stuck on his drawing.

"This is harder than it looks." Twilight sighed.

"Way harder...making a Pokemon is difficult!" Sonata tossed her pen as it hit somepony in the face.

"Don't worry about it. You can try it again when the Pokemon Festival arrives for the second time in 2 months."

"The Pokemon Festival's coming back soon?!" Rarity raised her head up.

"Yes! I know this because...BigTime Ben told me. Yeah. That's what happened. So don't worry about not having any ideas at the moment."

"Alright then. By that time, I'll have thought of something amazing!" Pinkie screeched. "So, what's next?"

"Hmm...that Poke-Dodgeball's been catching my eye for a while now." Applejack turned to Poke-Dodgeball. The one attraction that hasn't been interacted with yet. Everything else is being interacted and played by everypony else, except that one.

"Oh. Poke-Dodgeball. This one's been played by many trainers over the years." Guru walked over to the attraction. "This is the most intense attraction due to how aggressive it can get. Are you 100% sure you want to try this one?"

"Sure! We've got plenty of time. Why not?" Twilight shrugged.

"Very well then. But just so you know...you'll all be facing off against...your Pokemon."

"What?!" They all pulled back from those words.

It was as it seemed to be It was the Pokemon vs the trainers. They all stood in a dodgeball arena that had an expansive wide space. Most of the ponies from Ponyville were participating in this since it also caught their eye. But they weren't expecting to challenge their Pokemon in the process. The balls had the appearance of Pokeballs for aesthetic choices.

"Oh yeah." Guru rubbed his hands together. "It's Trainers vs Pokemon! The rules are the same as regular dodgeball. You get hit, that's it. No hitting the head or above the shoulders. You can block an incoming ball with another ball and catching it with your hands, hooves or whatever limb you own sends the thrower out of the game. But! In this case, Pokemon moves are involved."

"They are?!" Twilight gasped, turning to Guru.

"Indeed they are. The Pokemon are allowed to use their moves to their advantage. It's what makes the game much more fun. But don't worry. I'm 100% sure that you all know how to deal with the moves since they are your Pokemon, right? "

"...R-Right..." Scootaloo gulped.

"Great! Plus, magic is allowed. So that's an extra advantage in its own right. You've all got 14 minutes total. Alright. Trainers! Are you ready?"

"Ready.!" Ash picked up a ball.

"And the same for the Pokemon as well?"

"Pika!" Pikachu grinned, holding a ball with his tail. Even if Ash was his best friend forever, he was looking forward to this. No shame in having fun right?

"Then...play!" Guru gave the call as he made a run for it, knowing how destructive this is going to get.

"If we hit them first...they won't have the chance to use their moves!" Rainbow Dash flew, holding a ball. "Here goes!" She made the first move, tossing the dodgeball directly towards Thunderlane's Mienfoo.

"Foo!" The Martial Arts Pokemon had used Substitute to avoid the dodgeball as it bounced on the arena floor.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu tossed the ball up with his tail, jumping after it. The Electric Mouse Pokemon then used Iron Tai to hit the ball, rocketing it towards the trainers. "Chu-Pika!"

"Yikes!" Pinkie screeched as she and the trainers moved out of the way. "Why did he fire it with such aggression?"

"Espeon..." Eve raised up three balls with her psychic abilities, surrounding them around her. She sent them towards the opposite side, hoping to hit three in one. And she did hit three in one. Amethyst Star, Spike and Roseluck were taken out by Eve's throw.

"Aw seriously?!" Spike groaned as the ball ended up hitting his claw.

"Don't worry. It's our turn!" Applejack had bucked over a dodgeball that raced towards Eve. But unfortunately, she caught it with her mind. Thankfully, you're only out if the ball is caught physically by your opponent. So levitating the ball doesn't count.

"Sorry about this!" Fluttershy tossed a ball with weak strength behind it. The ball barely moved from her spot as it bounced on the floor. "Oh."

"Braviary!" The Valiant Pokemon took the skies with a ball in his talons. He used Superpower to smash the ball, sending it down at lightning speeds. Rainbow Dash flew out of the way as the ball crashed through the arena floor, leaving a huge hole through it. So far, the Pokemon were gaining the advantage thanks to their moves and what they're capable of doing naturally. Pikachu and Minccy kept using their tails to throw the Pokeballs since they packed more speed in them. Audino was completely puzzled on what to do. She didn't exactly feel like harming anyone in any way shape or form. This actually made her an open target.

"Gotcha!" Twilight tossed the dodgeball directly at Audino as it struck her stomach. The first Pokemon to be out was her. "Yes! I got one!"

"Ra...Boot!" Raboot kicked up the ball, backflipping towards it. The Rabbit Pokemon slapped the Pokeball towards them as flames surrounded it. Rarity jumped up, landing in Rainbow Dash's hooves as the flaming ball almost hit her.

"Leavan!" Rarity's single Leavanny had used String Shot to pick up a ball, swinging it around. Leavanny released the Pokeball, sending it to the side of the trainers.

"No, you don't!" Ash got in the way, blocking it with his own Pokeball. Just then, he was almost hit by an incoming Pokeball from Applejack's Treecko. It just grazed his hair. He moved out of the way, avoiding the incoming balls thrown Braviary.

"Pika!" Pikachu had taken out Pinkie Pie by slapping four Pokeballs her way. Each of them hit her hoof, tail, stomach and stomach.

"Aw...rats!" Pinkie pouted, walking off the arena.

"This is getting pretty one-sided. We've gotta do something fast!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. She was almost hit by an incoming Pokeball from Sweetie Belle's Piplup.

"Ponyta!" Scootaloo's Ponyta had kicked a Pokeball that knocked Derpy out of the sky.

"If we can take out the biggest threats we should be good." Ash looked up at Braviary. "Here goes!" He tossed the Pokeball upwards, allowing Rainbow Dash to grab it.

"Sorry, Braviary!" Rainbow Dash had targeted her own Pokemon, tossing the ball his way.

"Braviary!" Braviary had used Brave Bird to move out of the way, avoiding the ball. Rainbow Dash went down for another one, flying up after him.

"If magic is allowed...then I can do this, right?" Twilight had decided to use teleportation as an advantage. This was actually a good call. Not only would it allow her to avoid any incoming attacks, but it could also throw the Pokemon off guard since she could throw the ball from anywhere. And she did. "Gotcha!" Twilight tossed the Pokeball forward, striking somepony's Chimecho out of the air.

"Chime!"

"Leavan!" Leavanny had yet again picked up a Pokeball with her string. This time, she raised it up, slamming it overhead. Applejack saw this as an opportunity. She raised her Pokeball up, blocking the incoming ball. The rebound was immense due to it being slammed by String Shot. It managed to push Applejack back, almost causing her to lose her balance. This rebound was a good call since Leavanny was still holding onto the string.

"There!" Applejack tossed the Pokeball towards Leavanny, striking the Leaf Wrapped Pokemon in its leg, taking it out. "Yeehaw! Direct hit!"

Rarity had used her mane to her advantage somehow. Each time a ball came her way, she would use the silky smoothness of it to swerve the ball, launching it upwards. She did put some gel in it today after all. With the ball being launched up by her mane gave Rainbow Dash the opportunity to grab it, tossing it back at the Pokemon. She took out Aria's Popplio with it. Now the tables were turning. The trainers were starting to get the upper-hoof. Twilight would catch a Pokemon off guard by teleporting near them. Each time they would throw a ball, Twilight would appear, throwing a ball at them by surprise.

Braviary set his eyes on Rarity, prepared to take her out, The Valiant Pokemon flew high into the sky, gaining more and more distance. He tossed the ball up, once again, using Superpower. The ball came rocketing down with flames surrounding it. It even broke the sound barrier due to the speed it was moving at. It looked like Rarity was about to be taken out until Ash caught the ball with his bare hands. It burned his gloves a bit with steam coming out, but it was worth it since Braviary was now out of here. Ash then tossed the ball he caught right towards Raboot.

Raboot blocked the ball by kicking up one in front of him to do so. But he was quickly caught by surprise by Goh hitting his foot with a Pokeball. Taken out by your own trainer. Harsh.

Very few trainers and Pokemon remained. Meaning there was far more space to dodge incoming Pokeballs.

"Espeon!" Eve tossed some Pokeballs in the air whilst holding a spare with her tail. The ones she raised up with her mind were sent towards the trainers' side whilst she kept the spare just in case. Applejack had ducked the incoming Pokeballs, avoiding them all, but she, unfortunately, didn't see the last one coming. Eve used the spare Pokeball, releasing it from her tail. Once Applejack was taken out, the ball that hit her was grabbed by Rainbow Dash who tossed it right towards Eve.

Minccy attempted to block the ball with her own, but it passed through it her, hitting her tail and taking her out next.

"Ooh!" Guru watched as he saw the Pokeballs fly back and forth. So much dodging, so many moves being used, it was a sight to behold. But now, things amped up.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumped on a ball, taking to the skies. "Chu!" He sent an electroweb down, causing the entire arena floor to be filled with electricity.

"What the?!" Goh almost lost his balance as the electrified floor was giving him a jolt.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu grinned landing back on the ground. He used Iron Tail to strike the Pokeball their direction whilst Treecko added Dragonbreath to it. Goh was taken out by a combined Iron Tail and Dragonbreath combination. And he couldn't do anything about it. Electroweb filling the floor had restrained his movements and everypony else's.

"Cheap trick, Pikachu!" Twilight yelled, struggling to move through the web.

"Pika-ka-ka-ka!" Pikachu chuckled.

Many trainers were being taken out thanks to Electroweb. Most from their own Pokemon. The number of trainers dwindling yet again.

Twilight had used her magic to caused a shockwave, blowing away the Electroweb and freeing everypony.

Rainbow Dash was the only who pony who avoided Electroweb at the last second thanks to her constantly staying the air. She saw an opportunity to take out Pikachu with a Pokeball, locking her eyes on him.

"I've got you in my sights!" Rainbow Dash put all of her strength in her hoof, rocketing the ball towards Pikachu's direction.

"Pika!" Pikachu used Quick Attack to move ahead, avoiding the ball. The Pokeball that Rainbow Dash threw was then caught by Eve who used her mind to send them back at the trainers.

Eve was quickly taken out thanks to Twilight catching the ball with her hooves. "Yes!"

"Esp?! Espeon." Eve sighed, walking off the arena.

"Piplup!" Sweetie Belle's Piplup smashed the Pokeball with Aerial Ace, causing it to twist and turn. This was caught by Ash who took Piplup out by doing so. Scootaloo's Ponyta had been building up speed with Flame Charge the entire time, just to gain a speed advantage. And what an advantage it was. The Fire Horse Pokemon had used Double Kick to launch 4 Pokeballs towards the direction of the trainers.

Aria was quickly taken out by the first one. Apple Bloom the second. And Lyra the third. The fourth had been caught by Scootaloo herself, taking her own Ponyta out of the game.

Mienfoo closed its eyes, focusing all of its energy into its hands. The Martial Arts Pokemon had used Close Combat to rapidly strike the ball in one spot. "Mien!" After that, it let out a palm strike, forcing the ball to gain motion. The speed the Pokeball moved at was heightened thanks to Close Combat. Sonata had blocked the incoming ball with her own, but the impact was intense that when it bounced off, it forced everypony to fly back due to the shockwave it left behind.

"Yeesh...How is this getting more and more aggressive?" Twilight breathed in and out.

"Don't worry. I'll stop every last one of them." Ash held his hands out. "Come on!"

"Mienfoo!" Mienfoo struck a Pokeball towards Ash's direction with Force Palm.

"Lup!" Piplup did the same by using Aerial to do so.

Ash held his breath in, keeping all the focus on the ball and his hands. And just like that, he caught both of them with both of his hands, taking two Pokemon out. "I gotcha!" He then held both Pokeballs forward, blocking an incoming one. Now was a perfect time to send them back at the Pokemon side. Ash did this by taking out both Slurpuff and Silver Spoon's Glameow.

At this rate, it was unclear of who would win this. Only 4 minutes remained on the clock. Diamond Tiara's Purrloin decided to live up to its title as the Devious Pokemon and as a Dark-Type. She used Fake Tears to pretend that she was crying, grabbing the attention of the trainers. Purrloin was very convincing with crying, almost making it seem like genuine sadness was filling her eyes. She got on her knees, increasing the Fake Tears. Many trainers had stopped what they were doing, looking at the Devious Pokemon.

"I-Is she okay?" Rainbow Dash whispered at Twilight.

"Wait a minute...that's Fake Tears!" Twilight exclaimed as Purrloin smirked. She tossed a Pokeball right towards Rainbow Dash, taking her out by surprise. She then used Night Slash to sent another Pokeball towards the trainer's side. Sweetie Belle was taken out since she was one of the few who fell for Purrloin's fake sadness. One was coming towards Twilight, but she caught it with her magic. "Nice try!" The young alicorn teleported all over the place, confusing Purrloin in the process. It was her turn to be juked as Twilight had then flown up, tossing the ball towards Purrloin, taking out the Devious Pokemon in the process.

"Ah...I love Dark-Types and their scheming nature." Guru chuckled.

"Pika?" Pikachu looked around to notice that he was the last Pokemon remaining. If he wanted to win, he'll have to take out the remaining 4 trainers with precision. Which were Ash, Twilight, Scootaloo and Fluttershy.

"It's just you now Pikachu!" Scootaloo smirked.

"Pika...Chu!" Pikachu unleashed a burst of 100,000 volts from his body, almost hitting the trainers. It wasn't his intention to hit them with Thunderbolt. He only aimed to throw them off guard. And that's what he did. He quickly used Quick Attack to grab a Pokeball, tossing it forward. The one who had her guard down the most was Fluttershy who had been taken out by a Pokeball to the hoof.

"Eep!" Fluttershy circled up into the ball, thinking she was badly hurt. She wasn't. But she was out. "Oh. Uh, fairy play." Fluttershy squeed, flying off.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu used Quick Attack to move at blinding speeds, not allowing the trainers to keep track of him. He left behind afterimages due to this speed, throwing their eyes off balance.

"Where is he!?" Scootaloo's eyes felt like they were about to fall off.

"I can keep track of him." Twilight had teleported across the arena, trying to keep track of Pikachu. Pikachu found a blind spot with Twilight. He picked up a Pokeball with Iron Tail, whilst still moving around in Quick Attack.

"Pika!" Pikachu jumped up, smacking the Pokeball with his hard metal tail. With Twilight's blind spot open, she was sure to be hit. But thankfully, her teleportation saved her at the last minute. The Electric Mouse Pokemon was almost taken about by Scootaloo who tossed a Pokeball his way in the air. "Chu!" Pikachu caught the Pokeball, taking Scootaloo out.

"Aw! Darn!" Scootaloo groaned, walking off.

"Pika!" Pikachu landed down on the floor, breathing in and out. It was just two trainers and one Pokemon now.

"Sorry, buddy. But I'm aiming at winning this." Ash said.

"Pikachu!"

The three of them each raised up the Pokeballs in their hand, preparing to toss them with all their might. But unfortunately, time had run out. That was 14 minutes.

"Ooh! That's it! Time's up!" Guru called the game over. "Whew...that was getting a bit aggressive back there."

"Finally..." Twilight sighed as she sat down, dropping the Pokeball.

"Pika..."

"Since two trainers are left on the trainer side and only one Pokemon. The winners are the trainers! By a hair."

"Good job, buddy. You almost had me there." Ash spoke to his partner.

"Pikachu! Pikapi!"

"That was way more intense than normal dodgeball..." Goh fell on his back.

"I'll say..." Sonata nodded.

"So. Now that that's done...who's up for-" Guru looked over to see the trainers and Pokemon exhausted. "On second thought, maybe it's best to call it all to a close."

They experienced some other game attractions that were less intense than the Poke-Dodgeball one and they enjoyed themselves until the sun had set.

"Time to go! But I can tell you all had a blast!" Guru hopped back in his truck as Gothitelle placed everything back in the huge blue box. "I'll see you all at the Pokemon Festival in two months!" He took his leave, driving off with his very colourful and expressive vehicle leaving behind a trail of confetti.

What a day. One filled with naming, jousting, fake Pokemon and a very aggressive game of dodgeball. They can all look forward to more activities like this in two months, but in the meantime, more fun can be had with Pokemon involved, whether it be here or in the Pokemon World as the journey continues.
