Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle jump out of their seat after a fair relaxing time. Without hesitation, they begin walking towards the Fountain dome. Once they’re in, the black luma awaits their arrival.
“So, have you returned to collect more Power Stars and make more progress?”
“Of course we have. We’re here to rescue the royal princesses who’re out there in far space.”
“But we still have a lot more ground to cover. More galaxies to discover and more stars to collect. What would Celestia be doing in Sombra’s hooves?”
“Let’s just hope she won’t suffer in a bad way. I don’t know why Sombra wants her and Luna out of Equestria. I mean, it’s probably obvious that that’s how he’ll terrorise Equestria.”
“Ooh. Replace ‘probably’ with ‘definitely’. Anyway, we’re getting off topic.”
“Ahem. Can you tell us what galaxy is open for us?”
“Right. You’ve just discovered Battlerock Galaxy. Hop onto the pull star and you’ll see it.”
With the glance at the pull star and the “Pull.” voicing out of Pinkie and Twilight’s mouth, the ponies start floating on the star. In the distance, they can see the new galaxy in sight.
“So I’m guessing that is Battlerock?”
“That’s the one. Get in there and collect more Power Stars.”
“Okey dokey lokey.”
A launch star appeared on the pink pony’s body again to launch her into the galaxy with Twilight following.
Out there, zooming through the sky is Pinkie and Twilight. They start their little scavenger hunt of stars by landing on one of five metallic discs. The first thing they see when landing is their first objective, which is to collect 5 pull star chips.
“A straightforward objective. I like this.”
Within probably a few minutes, Pinkie and Twilight quickly hop from disc to disc to find all 5 star chips while also collecting 8 bits from a question mark bit, collecting Star Bits under some of the platforms and encountering and defeating 2 Shadowbolts with armor. They also encounter new small top-like enemies.
“Those are new. What are they supposed to be?”
“Small yellow tops that spins to harm you like what I’m gonna do to them.”
Pinkie Pie attempts to spin attack them but she miraculously misses and proceeds to experience their style of attack which is bumping her to move and lose balance, although it barely took any lives.
Pinkie falls on her stomach as Twilight shoots magical beams out of her horn at the top-like enemies. She then hopped onto that disc to see if Pinkie’s alright.
“I’m okay, Twilight. They just made me fall over. No big deal.”
“Why would Sombra unleash enemies that doesn’t hurt you?”
“They could. They just appeared at the wrong place to hurt us, I guess.”
They continue to collect star chips so that they can form into a few pull stars that lead to a launch star. Pinkie and Twilight get under the pull stars and shouted “Pull!” to enter the launch star.
That launch star launches the ponies closer to the battlerock and onto another disc-shaped planet on its underside. Presented on the planet is a single Shadowbolt in armor near the landing spot.
“Woah. That’s way too close.”
Pinkie spin attacks the Shadowbolt to make him fall over before stomping on him. Making the Shadowbolt vanish into 3 Star Bits.
Then they proceed to the top of the disc where they find a purple figure, which Pinkie recognises what it is.
“I’ve seen one of these before.”
“Well, what is it?”
“It’s a laser shockwave launching trampoline, except this is deactivated.”
“Trampoline, you say?”
“Yep. Let’s hop into it.”
Twilight shrugs off the joke as she and Pinkie jump on the inactive enemy to spring onto the platform above while collecting 4 Star Bits in the way. “Weee!”
Upon landing on that disc, Twilight and Pinkie has to reach the top side to find a loose screw.
“You can screw this in. A little like what you did at Space Junk Galaxy, right?”
“Yes, I’ll proceed.”
Pinkie Pie stands on top of the screw to then spin it tight. Doing so turns the cannons on the battlerock on, but it also makes their platform move towards and pass the cannons.
“Uh oh. We have to dodge the cannonballs.”
“Ooh. A game of dodgeball. Those balls will never hit Pinkie Pie.”
Starting off with Pinkie and Twilight moving left and right to avoid the cannonballs. Then, they see that they’re heading straight towards a wall, so they have to move under the platform as Pinkie collects some bits.
But coming up next is a wall of red lasers, so they have to move to the top. Then, Pinkie and Twilight has to move to the bottom because a wall of green lasers is in the way.
And then, they have to move to the top. Oh, there’s a question mark bit which, when collected, makes a lot of Star Bits appear in a way that they can collect them.
Then they move down and up again to see that they have to jump over the one line of lasers because the underside is blocked. Pinkie and Twilight can see the end, it’s the final stretch, they just have to move around the last wall of lasers before the platform stops next to another disc-shaped platform possessing a caged Power Star and also two Shadowbolts that Pinkie and Twilight first take care of.
“Battlerock’s first Power Star! How do we get it out of its cage?”
Pinkie finds the answer as she notices two Bullet Bill cannons across another disc platform in the distance.
“Do you see those Bullet Bill cannons in the distance? We can lure the bullets to explode the cage.”
“We can do that?”
“Yes, I’ve done this before in Sombra’s Galaxy. Wait here just to be safe.”
So Pinkie hops onto the platform to get closer to the cannon for the bullet to notice her. The platform she’s standing on has 4 cages; 2 contains 6 Star Bits each, 1 has 3 bits and 1 has a spring that springs a pony onto a question mark block.
Of course, Pinkie can’t resist a few sugary space sweets, so she directs the bullets to bust open all the cages and collect the contents inside them and also break open the high up block via the spring.
“I insist in trying to do that.”
Twilight suddenly appears behind Pinkie Pie. She suggests that she should give luring a go expecting that she can dodge the bullet.
“Well, if you insist, be careful then.”
Bullet Bill launches out of the barrel and its eyes are on the alicorn. The bullet starts to home at Twilight as she and Pinkie runs away from it and at the same time, leading the bullet towards the cage with the Power Star.
Bullet Bill eventually makes contact with the cage and boom goes the cage and releasing the star.
“Woo! I feel like a daredevil, but hey, I did something new and explosive, it’s an achievement.”
“Why the hay did you want to risk it, by the way?”
“Well, I can’t just keep you company to only watch your actions helplessly.”
“I see. Anyway, we have a Power Star!”
Pinkie and Twilight collects the Power Star out of the air and their victory dance is present as always before they fly back to the space station, the Comet Observatory.
Twilight and Pinkie returns to the Fountain dome unscratched. Upon arrival, Applejack and Rainbow Dash is there to meet up and greet back.
“You went to Battlerock Galaxy, huh? What’s it like in there?”
“Oh. You know, a couple of platforms, a big rock in the middle for the main event and a challenging game of dodge-cannonball.”
“Sounds sightseeing, except for the dodge-cannonball part. Too bad we can’t see it in action.”
“Well, sometimes, good things have to go to waste.”
“It’s fine, Pinkie Pie. One day, we’ll see something cool, whether that is inside or outside Equestria.”
“Glad we could settle this. We gotta go for round two of our visit to Battlerock. Pull!”
Let’s-a go. A pull by the pull star to lift to where a launch star should be and now Twilight and Pinkie are hanging in the air. Pinkie uses her hoof signals to gesture a go. With such a necessary course of action, the ponies go boom blasting out of the materializing launch star.
“Power Star 2, here we come.”
Starting from the disc planets from the previous mission, Pinkie and Twilight noticed different objects occupies over and under the planet. The two planets in front of them occupies some kind of device and the others occupies cages containing Star Bits and a launch star.
Pinkie and Twilight hopped onto the first planet in front of them looking at the black device curiously.
“What is this?”
“I’m not sure. Maybe it’s good, maybe it’s bad, maybe it’s both. All we need is something to explode that cage with the launch star so we can get out of this section.”
Seconds after her dialogue, a bomb pops out of the machine and into Pinkie’s hooves and immediately ignites itself. It only takes a few milliseconds until she realizes what just happened before she panics.
“Ah! What do I do? What do I do?”
“Throw it away! Quick!”
A word of warning. Pinkie quickly throws the bomb away not knowing where she’s throwing to. Apparently, she unintentionally throws the bomb at the cage with Star Bits and frees her prize.
“Well, I did not expect that. I don’t know what I’d do if I hadn’t reacted to a bomb that’s about to explode in my hooves.”
At that moment, another bomb appears out of the bomb generator and onto the ground. Pinkie flinches at the sudden danger, refrains from touching it and proceeds to have a rant at it.
“No! Bad bombs! I almost blew up because of you!”
“Pinkie, I’m afraid we have to use these bombs to explode that cage.”
“Oh. In that case, don’t blow me up, mister.”
Pinkie said as she picks up the bomb and the pressure is on. She runs towards the cage with the launch star and throws the bomb at it before it explodes in her hooves.
Boom! The launch star is free. Twilight follows Pinkie to use it to transfer to another planet, also known as, the Molecule Planet. The ponies land right next to a cage with a luma.
“Help!”
“Don’t worry! We’ll get you out! Twilight, how do we get him out?”
“Why are you asking me? I don’t know, I don’t put lumas in cages.”
“Oh. I mean do you have any ideas?”
“We need to find either a bullet launcher or a bomb producer.”
Pinkie’s tail twitches, something fell in the distance.
“Tail twitch, something fell on that green part of the planet.”
“It must be a bomb producer, but what about the yellow part of the planet?”
“We can check it out.”
Pinkie and Twilight avoid the existing Chain Chomps that rolls around different sections of the planet to reach the yellow part of the planet. They can see a cage with a rainbow-gem necklace.
“It’s the invincibility necklace from previous galaxies.”
“Interesting. If we explode this as well, we should be able to grab it. Let’s see the bomb that appeared on the green part of the planet.”
On the green part of the Molecule Planet, there is indeed a bomb and its generator.
“I’ll do it, for your health sake.”
“But what about your health sake.”
“The bomb only harms you when you hold it too close to you. With magic, I shouldn’t have a problem.”
Twilight uses wingardium leviosa to levitate the bomb and quickly carries it to the rainbow necklace cage to boom it open.
“Would you mind if I get power?”
“Not at all, but you do have a limited amount of time once you wear it to have fun with it until it shatters into pieces. Also, we need that power to demolish all those Chain Chomps so that I can get their Star Bits. Do you need me to summarize what I just said?”
“No, I got it. I have a limited amount time to destroy the Chain Chomps.”
With all the information stored inside Twilight’s smart brain, Twilight wears the necklace. Now, she looks more sparklier than normal.
Now that she’s feeling the power, she immediately runs into the Chain Chomps one at a time, all 6 Chain Champs.
While the action was happening, Pinkie proceeds to collect all the collectables that were littered all over the planet, including 2 bits.
Twilight’s invincibility powers wear off after all the destruction. After that, Pinkie comes in screaming with a bomb held over her head in panic to the luma holding cage.
“Take cover!”
Pinkie exclaimed as she throws the bomb at the cage, jumps away from the exploding radius and frees the luma. At the same time, Twilight walks towards Pinkie to mention her commotion.
“Pinkie, uh, you’re full of surprises. Let me just say that. I mean…”
“Twilight, are you okay? You’re stuttering a little bit.”
“I… What I’m saying is that, you scared me when you were running with the bomb and when you were screaming on the way.”
Pinkie rewinded Twilight’s sentence and made an immediate but unpleasant conclusion.
“You were annoyed by… my screaming? Are you saying that I’m… loud?!”
“What? No! Why would you think that?”
Pinkie goes up to Twilight’s face to closely face eye-to-eye. It’s an uncomfortable position to position yourself.
Basically, this is how Pinkie detects lies. It’s like Fluttershy’s stare to make ponies spit out words that they don’t want anypony else to hear about.
Twilight has to spill the truth. She can’t handle staring at Pinkie’s eyes for too long that she explains it in a haste.
“If I did, I did. I’m sorry, I was only disturbed by your screams.”
Pinkie’s mane deflated. A stone-hearted, depressing and dark look on her that nopony wants to see.
“You had to blurt it out to me. Here I am in my depressive state.”
“I was just being honest. I didn’t think I was going to insult you. I’m sorry, can we start over?”
“No, we can’t. Thanks for your apology, no thanks for your insults. Let’s just move on.”
Straight-maned Pinkie advances towards the sling star that is the luma that was freed and transformed. Pinkie slings onto the launch star above while automatically collect 3 bits.
Twilight on the other hand, nervously follows her because Pinkie’s depressed form looks dark and that she continues with that look.
Twilight clearly sees that herself and Pinkie Pie are both on the wrong here, but trauma alert, she’s nervous about trying to convince her.
In the next part of the mission, Pinkie and Twilight land on another disc surrounded in a minefield. This section also has pull stars that they can use to get across.
Because Twilight’s in trauma, she decides to stay silent the whole time.
“We have to use the pull stars to get past this minefield and reach that launch star.”
Twilight has to say something though, she has to say the word ‘pull’ multiple times if she wants to get through the minefield.
Along the way, a couple of Star Bits are featured to be collected by Pinkie Pie while Twilight decides not to collect any Star Bit. Pinkie Pie notices this however, she’s slightly starting to feel bad for her because it looks like Twilight’s not in a good mood.
Pinkie and Twilight reach and use the launch star to get launched to what looks like the opening to battlerock. Battlerock’s entrance consists a button occupying the top of a high bump and two question mark blocks.
“That is high. Too high for a normal jump.”
So she covers the height with a spin jump. A jump and spin is enough to reach the button and a powerful force is needed to press the button.
The button when pressed causes a lot of Star Bits to appear around the bump for Pinkie to collect.
“That’s more than a hoofful of Star Bits.”
What about Twilight? Well, she’s just… sitting there, watching her ‘friend’ collect everything. While Pinkie is in the middle of collecting all the Star Bits she sees, she can’t help but to keep her eyes on Twilight.
Then, Pinkie decides to stop for a second to look at her reflection on the glass floor below her. Her mane when depressed, her smile disappeared from her face and to think that she’s showing her that frown and straight mane to her friend.
All the signs are there, Twilight is silent and apathetic because she’s traumatized by Pinkie Pie and she hasn’t noticed it before. If only she noticed sooner. So, she stops interacting with everything and walks towards Twilight in sorrow.
“Twilight, are you okay?”
“I’m just fine. Thanks for asking.”
Twilight weakly responded. Poor Twilight is filled with trauma. Poor Pinkie is completely filled with sorrow.
“I… I’m so sorry for accusing you of insulting me and I’m especially really sorry for, you know, you seeing me in my unpoofy mane.”
“It’s okay. I understand that it’s how you respond to...”
“No, Twilight, you can’t say that. Please, forgive me. I take back what I said. We can start over. I pinkie promise.”
“I forgive you, Pinkie. I appreciate it. Let’s get back to what we came here for.”
Settled. Poofy-maned Pinkie and determined Twilight became actual friends again, starting with collecting the rest of the Star Bits Pinkie Pie left and emptying the two blocks; one contains 20 Star Bits and the other contains 8 bits.
Once all the collectables are collected, they can now advance through a pipe with Pinkie Pie leading the way. The pipe spawns the ponies in the battlerock where a new object in a cage is featured.
“Whatever this is, I assume we’re going to need it.”
“What we need is that bomb.”
Actually, the bomb does not activate when it’s in somepony’s hooves. No, the bomb has legs and a wind up key and it’s also immediately activated.
“Woah, let’s let it blow up so that we can get a fresh one.”
“Look out! A second one!”
Pinkie Pie warned as she and Twilight constantly move to avoid both bombs’ explosion. Once one exploded, a new walking boombot pops out from one of the bomb generators, which Pinkie goes to take and throw at the cage.
Boom! What awaits in the cage for the ponies to use?
“What is it? Pinkie, what do you think?”
“I think I should enter it?”
And she did and out comes a cannon.
“A cannon?”
Twilight looks up to see where Pinkie should aim, which is a luma trapped in a moving crystal.
“There’s a luma trapped in a crystal up there.”
“I see it. So I can’t hit those lasers and I’ll try not to miss.”
Pinkie has to time it right so that her launch out of the cannon and the position of the crystalized luma meet at a point.
Pinkie goes blasting out of the cannon and successfully crashed into the crystal and free the luma that transforms into a launch star as granted.
“Nice shot, Pinkie.”
“Thanks for the compliment. Nopony’s gonna take away my shot.”
Pinkie has to boom the cannon-in-cage with another bomb before she can reach the launch star, while Twilight attempts to cannon out of the other cannon to reach the launch star.
Both ponies blast out of a cannon and into the launch star. That launch star launches the ponies out of battlerock.
Upon leaving, the structure behind them explodes for no reason. Nothing for them to matter since they got out alive, but still, they have no idea what just happened.
Twilight and Pinkie landed on the tip of the Blast Missile planet. And of course, a bomb generator is featured on it, but this time it produces inactive bombs.
Pinkie looks at the side of the planet to see that they have to explode another caged cannon on the other side of the moving lasers.
“I see. We have to carry the bomb across those lasers to unlock that cannon.”
“Well, we don’t have a choice, do we?”
“I don’t think so. Why don’t you ensure my safety.”
“I can do that.”
Twilight decides that she will carry the bomb with her magic. Wingardium leviosa, she hovers the bomb as its fuse is immediately lit. She quickly runs with it while avoiding the incoming lasers by either moving between or over the lasers.
She eventually reaches the cannon to blow the cage up and allow its access. Pinkie follows her tail while collecting 5 Star Bits and a single bit.
Twilight looks up to see where she and Pinkie has to aim. She sees the second Power Star floating in the sky between an arrangement of moving fences.
“I saw our second Power Star right above us.”
Pinkie looks at where Twilight’s pointing and immediately looks concerned.
“But what if we missed? I don’t want to be floating in space alone.”
“We’re not gonna miss. We’re not even gonna try to anyway.”
“Yeah, you’re right. What was I overreacting about? Do you think we can enter the cannon at the same time?”
“We can try.”
So Pinkie and Twilight enters the cannon at the same time. It definitely works as normal, but the space they’re positioned in is uncomfortable. They can fit inside, it’s just that they meet face-to-face from time to time.
“Please tell me this is awkward.”
“Don’t think you should ask any questions.”
So yes, they have to aim at the star and launch at the right time. If the position and timing is too far off, they might A) miss the star completely and fly endlessly into endless space or B) bonk into one of the fences and experience a severe headache.
Once Pinkie is sure she directs the cannon in the right position, she fires herself and Twilight at the right time in a way that she avoids the fences altogether.
The Power Star is snatch out of the air by two ponies. Then they hold their triumphant success by victory dancing far off the ground.
“Ya-hoo!”
Pinkie cheers as they begin to soar back to Stella’s space station.
Back to the Observatory that they technically came from, it seems like nopony is in the fountain waiting for Twilight and Pinkie’s comeback.
So Twilight and Pinkie find themselves left alone, apart from the black luma, presumably to let them go straight to the third star in short minutes.
“Huh, guess nopony’s home.”
“Guess we should get going for the third star, right?”
“We should. However…”
“However what?”
“May I use this time to tell you about something?”
“Sure? What’s it about?”
“More Pinkamena Diane Pie.”
Twilight faces Pinkie to listen. Why is Pinkie still talking about depression states?
“Remember when you set up that ‘not really my birthday’ party for me without me because you want to surprise me?”
“That time when you think we ditched Gummy’s ‘after party’ because you think we dislike your parties and that makes you all dark and stuff?”
“Yeah. *Sigh* I just don’t want to be that way ever again. I’ll never think that you and the others abandoned me again. After I realized I traumatized you in my depressive state, just… I want you to take this as an apology and as my way of saying I don’t want to feel that way and give you trauma again.”
“Oh, Pinkie. What would I do if I’m truly your friend? As a friend, I forgive you and I’m okay. Okay? Why don’t we dismiss our discussion?”
“Yeah, alright. I’m feeling better. Let’s just go for Battlerock’s Power Star #3.”
“Pull.”
The ponies unenthusiastically said because they’re recovering from a deep talk. But here we go, third star from Battlerock, launch star launching in…
“3…2…1…Blast off!”

Topmaniac and the Topman Tribe
Pinkie and Twilight’s Power Star journey starts at the same location as the other mission, except the number of discs were reduced from 5 to 3.
Their starting disc has nothing featured on it while the other discs has something new on top of them and a big question mark bit.
First, they jump onto the next disc to see what has been featured on it. At first, it looks like an innocent hatch, but inside the hatch is what they have to look out for, a wrench-throwing mole.
“Woah!”
Pinkie and Twilight ducked on the ground to barely dodge the flying wrench. Then Pinkie attempts to attack the mole while the enemy is partially out.
“You dare throw a mechanic’s tool at me?”
Pinkie tries to spin attack the mole, but unexpectedly, it disappeared into the hatch before she could hit it.
“Wow. Smart, quick-thinking mole.”
Then, the mole popped out of the hole again. Knowing that Pinkie will encounter more moles in advanced galaxies, she thinks about how to defeat that mole as it keeps attacking
“There must be a special way to spin him. Woah!”
“Then, think about it. I’ll buy you some time to do so.”
While Twilight is busy baiting the mole’s throw, Pinkie is busy thinking of a solution. Looking through her palette of moves, Pinkie had a thought.
As the mole is exposed, Pinkie proceeds to stomp hard on the ground next to it. Doing so caused the mole to flip upside-down so that its bottom is in the air.
Pinkie wants to laugh at this, but now that its stunned like this, she can now spin it to win it and out comes 3 Star Bits upon defeat.
“Nice one!”
Twilight complimented. Then Pinkie advances to defeat the other mole on the other disc planet. After that, Pinkie thought about collecting the question mark bit, but because she’s still feeling bad about traumatizing Twilight, she decides to let her get the big bit and the prize that would appear out of it.
“Twilight, I think you should get the question mark bit.”
“Why don’t you get it.”
“I want to make it up. I insist. I’ll just head up those pull stars while I wait for you.”
“You don’t have to do this, but thank you, nonetheless.
Twilight walks to the underside of the disc-shaped planet to find the bit. That bit caused a lot of star bits to appear around her.
Then, she proceeds to follow Pinkie’s route by saying “Pull.” at each pull star ahead. The pull stars lead Twilight to another disc on the underside and Pinkie was waiting for her as all of that was happening.
Moving to the top of the disc, Pinkie and Twilight encounter a laser shooting enemy with a sling star over its head.
Upon meeting its presence, the enemy shoots its laser out of its mouth and barely scratched a piece of skin if the ponies hadn’t moved out of the way.
“Woah! Out of the way!”
Twilight tries to shoot the enemy with a magic beam as Pinkie runs away from the incoming charging laser, but it doesn’t seem to affect it and thus, its angry to target Twilight.
“I don’t think we can defeat it. Looks like we have to keep it alive.”
“Okey dokey. Get on the sling star!”
So the ponies quickly jump into the sling star before the enemy fries them. The sling star slings Pinkie and Twilight to the platform in front of the previous platform.
At first, the disc looks stationary until it moves when a hoof contacts the ground of the planet. Then, Pinkie’s Pinkie Sense says that one bit is below the platform, so she hurries to collect it while Twilight grabs a second one in front of her. However, it’s not easy to do so since there are floating mines on the path.
The disc planet stops before the next disc with a launch star. That launch star launches Pinkie and Twilight to the next planet, Metal Bowl Planet.
The planet features two lumas, one inside a cage and one outside the cage. There is also a red spinning top-like enemy in front of them.
“Over here!”
The uncaged luma called out to draw the ponies’ attention. Pinkie and Twilight avoid the enemy to reach the luma’s high ground to listen to what he has to say.
“What’s up? Do we have to save your friend from in there?”
“Yes, that’s right. Hit the power lines with something to cut off the power.”
“Hit the power lines with something? That enemy?”
“Ah. It seems to me you don’t know the names of these enemies.”
“Names? These creatures have names?”
“Yup. When you return to Mama, ask her about enemies, she’ll tell you the enemy’s name, its attack pattern and how to defeat the enemy.”
“Wow. Thanks, we’ll keep that in mind.”
As their conversation ended, Pinkie jumps down from the platform to face the enemy in the right direction. Then, as the top-like enemy gets closer to the pony, Pinkie spins it to throw it into the power lines.
Doing so causes the power lines to deactivate and the cage to vanish. While all the action was happening, Twilight was busy collecting 2 bits, thinking that she’s helping. Still being traumatized by Pinkie, she had to ask.
“I hope you don’t mind if I took your cash.”
“Oh, Twilight. Of course not. Hey, I can tell that you’re still traumatized. Keep the few bits, why don’t you?”
“Alright. Hey, let’s talk to that luma, why don’t we?”
Pinkie and Twilight face the free luma, hearing his dialogue.
“Thank you! Oh, sweet freedom! I owe you a shortcut. TRANSFORM!”
The luma turns into a launch star. Great, Pinkie and Twilight can use it to arrive next to 3 crates and a mole.
Pinkie first uses her one tactic to defeat the mole and then, she spin attacks the crates to reveal different contents, 1 coin, 3 Star Bits and a green pipe.
Entering the pipe leads the ponies to the Gravity Corridor. From the ponies’ perspective, they look like they’re walking on the ground, but in reality, they’re walking on the ceiling. In front of the ponies’ eyes, they can see a green arrow pointing to the ground.
“Now what is this telling us?”
Pinkie looks at the wall behind them that has a pattern of moving small blue arrows that point in the same direction as the green arrow.
“I think this tells us where the gravity pulls.”
With Twilight’s new information, her brain turns on.
“You don’t think we can flip gravity, do you?”
Pinkie takes a second to look at the arrow, tinker for a few seconds and brightens her brain to try and spin attack on the arrow.
Yes, doing so turns the arrow and the background to red and an opposite direction and therefore, the gravity flipped and therefore, the ponies fell to the ground/ceiling and now, they’re walking on whatever surface we’re talking about. Pinkie landed on her hooves while Twilight landed on her back and flank.
“Ow. You could’ve said brace yourself.”
“Oh. Sorry, maybe next time?”
After that predicament, they can move on, introducing themselves to a rock-throwing Shadowbolt.
“Well, if it isn’t the rock throwers.”
“Rock throwers?”
“Rock throwers. Why don’t you take a rock to the face, you nerd?”
Such an insult. Twilight wouldn’t approve that.
“Hey! Save your insults for another time!”
Anger boils in Twilight’s esteem and proceeds to catch the rock in magic as he throws it and fling it back at the Shadowbolt to defeat him. Upon his defeat, 3 Star Bits are rewarded.
After Twilight calms down, she and Pinkie encounters another obstacle, slow-spinning a fire bar around a block. A tempting question mark block is also featured above the fire bar.
“Pinkie, I don’t think that block is worth it.”
“Oh. But it might have bits or sweets.”
“But who knows how long it’ll take to get them all.”
“I have to get the contents!”
“Wait-“
Nope, the pink pony ignores the word ‘wait’. She jumps on top of the fire bar’s block and quickly empties the golden question mark block.
She has to repeatedly bonk her head on the block 10 times because it cantains 20 Star Bits. The fire bar is at her poofy tail and it barely flamed it if Pinkie doesn’t get out of there.
“Woah. I’m barely fine, Twilight. It was just a close call.”
“You shouldn’t risk it like that, you know?”
Twilight suggests as she reaches to where Pinkie’s at.
“I know. Being safe is better than getting a couple of sweets, as they say.”
“Um, no one says that.”
“Huh, guess I’m the only one. Let’s just move on ahead.”
Pinkie ends the conversation to cover a new obstacle, platforms moving up and down, an easy enough obstacle, and Twilight proceeds to follows Pinkie Pie.
After that obstacle, the next obstacle is some flat stationary platforms upon cylindrical rotating platforms upon gaps of lava.
“Let’s go over instead of under so that we don’t risk dipping our hooves in molten rock.”
“Okey dokey lokey.”
So starting from the first flat platform, they have to run through the middle of the cylindrical obstacle when a tunnel is revealed. As the ponies run through, there’s a big bit that Pinkie touched to reveal Star Bits along the top half of the circumference of the obstacle.
“May I get those?”
“Of course, Pinkie. But how will you get up there?”
“How? Using my spin jumps.”
After collecting those 10 Star Bits, Twilight and Pinkie have to go through the second cylinder and collect two bits at the end of the tunnel.
The obstacle ends on another spinning cylinder and an arrow similar to the one Pinkie spinned before.
“Brace yourself, Twilight.”
Pinkie warned as she spins the arrow to make it point up to where it changes the gravity. Pinkie and Twilight are now walking on an opposite surface. They still couldn’t tell what’s the ground and what’s the roof. 4 Star Bits are also there for Pinkie to collect.
Upon walking on their floor, they have to fight another rock-throwing Shadowbolt before encountering more shifting platforms. Pinkie also sees that if she gets too high, she’ll be pulled up, in her perspective, onto the rotating cylinders.
In other words, she and Twilight have to wait until the platforms have entirely sunk down and the window is opened to quickly run through.
After running past the obstacle and two more Shadowbolts, the normal kind, along the way is defeated, they come across a hole full of Star Bits that they must plunge in to continue.
“Wow. That is a big drop.”
“Well, you have your alicorn wings, can’t you just carry me and fly down safely?”
“Oh yeah, I can do that.”
So Twilight wrapped Pinkie’s waste in her hooves and then starts flapping her wings, carefully flying down to the bottom level as Pinkie grabs the few Star Bits. Once they land, they have to defeat a Shadowbolt before Pinkie had to say…
“You know, if you had those wings, can’t you just fly and find the Power Star when we were outside?”
“Oh. Well, I have two reasons. One: If I’m accompanying you, I can’t just take off and leave you to do what you do. Two: Discovery shows that wings do nothing in space.”
“Really? What a shame that physics exist. I mean, no offense.”
Pinkie and Twilight had to move on, they can’t keep an endless conversation. More ascending and descending pillars await for obstacles. While running past and under them, Pinkie couldn’t resist a couple of high up bits where she has to stand on a rising platform to jump high enough to get it.
After that, they’re almost at the end, all they need is some springing from a deactivated shockwaver enemy to reach another gravity flipping area to flip gravity to reach the exit pipe.
That pipe takes the ponies out of the Gravity Corridor to enter the Barrier Chamber. Upon leaving the pipe, Pinkie and Twilight can see a sling star above an active shockwave producer enemy in the center of the room and on the left of the beamer, there’s a higher platform with a question mark block above it.
“So we have to jump over the shockwaves to then use the enemy like a spring to get to that sling star.
“Alright, but I have to check that block.”
“Wow. You really can’t resist, can you?”
“Sorry, but I just can’t help it. Can’t fight the urge.”
“It’s fine, Pinkie. Go get it.”
So Pinkie goes for the block. To do so, she has to jump over every shockwave that approches her. Before long, Pinkie reaches the platform and the block and proceeds to empty out 10 Star Bits.
Afterwards, Pinkie and Twilight go for the springer, trying to survive by avoiding the shockwaves. They reach the beamer, bounce to reach 3 bits and the sling star and use the sling star to reach the ceiling which gravity flips on the ponies, causing them to walk on the ceiling, or the platform on the ceiling.
As Pinkie and Twilight land on the platform, the platform starts descending like an elevator and once the platform is at a point where it stops, gravity flips again so that they can work on the second level of the Barrier Chamber
This level of the Barrier Chamber features a red and green barriered entrance and two familiar red top-like enemies from the Metal Bowl Planet. The setup seems familiar to the ponies.
“Oh, Pinkie, do you remember what you did to free the luma?”
“Didn’t I cannon to a crystalled one before? How is this related?”
Twilight became confused because of Pinkie’s questions. She did free a luma from a crystal, how did she forget the luma in a cage. Twilight holds her expression before Pinkie snickers at her face.
“You should’ve seen the look on your face. I’m only joking, Twilight. Of course I remember.”
She remembered to knock the tops back at the power lines to malfunction. Twilight reacts to Pinkie’s joke by laughing sarcastically.
“Ha ha. Very funny.”
As the enemies get close, Pinkie spins them back at the barriers, turning both lasers off. Doing so unlocks a launch star, but it also flips gravity to pull the ponies towards the launch star.
The Barrier Chamber explodes behind the ponies as they use the launch star. The answer to why that happens is beyond them, not something that they want to deal with.
Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle reach their destination. Well, they landed underneath their planet at least. They had to go around the barriers and defeating more top-like enemies as their third encouter.
Moving at the top of the planet, Pinkie and Twilight see a platform that looks like a boss arena.
“Do you think we’re gonna fight something?”
“I think we are. Are you ready to fight this boss?”
“No wait, I can’t leave collectables behind.”
So Pinkie quickly collects the Star Bits and bits around the arena before joining Twilight on a boss fight, including an extra three Star Bits from defeating a top.
“Are you ready now?”
“Yeah, I’m ready.”
Pinkie and Twilight set hoof on the platform. Suddenly after that, the boss comes flying in from the sky like a UFO and lands on the arena and produces the smaller yellow tops to start the battle.
The boss looks like one of the red tops, only this one is black with angry yellow eyes and dangerous yellow spikes spinning around it to protect its sides. The boss also has a red-flashing button on its head.
“What happens when I jump on its head?”
“Well, you have to get there first. Look out!”
One of the small tops attempts to knock Pinkie Pie towards the barriers around the arena. The enemy succeeds in the attack, but she barely avoids making contact with the power lines.
“Woah! I almost got electrocuted!”
Pinkie was so focused on her close call that she didn’t see Twilight attempting to jump on the boss’s head and manages to do it. The boss’s eyes and spikes are deactivated, so it’s safe to touch the side of the boss. Seeing this, Twilight understands how to defeat him.
“Pinkie, spin it to the power lines!”
“I gotcha.”
Pinkie spins, boss is hit, boss forces back, boss gets electrocuted. Round 2 starts.
Round 2 is the same boss layout as the first round, the boss produced the same type and amount of enemies.
“I’m getting its head.”
Twilight runs towards the boss while dodging its minion’s attacks to jump and stomp on him, deactivating its spikes and eyes again.
“Take a spin to your face, even if you don’t have a face anymore!”
Pinkie repeats her actions from round 1; stomp, spin and hit, easy enough.
For round 3, the boss doesn’t produce three yellow tops, no, instead it materialized two red tops that the ponies faced multiple times throughout this Power Star mission.
Because they faced them multiple times, this phase shouldn’t be a problem. So, Pinkie and Twilight follows their tactic from previous rounds. Twilight gets the boss’s head and Pinkie attempts the spin, all in all, they have to avoid the boss’s protégés.
It’s not easy, but Pinkie delivered the final blow to defeat the boss, rewarding themselves with the third Power Star of Battlerock Galaxy.
“We did it, Twilight. The third Power Star of this galaxy.”
“Yeah, and also your sixth star with me. I can’t believe the both of us collected that many Power Stars.”
“Believe it, Twilight. Sometimes unbelivables can turn into belivables.”
Twilight and Pinkie celebrate by collecting their sixth star together. After a long mission, Pinkie and Twilight need a good shut-eye rest after asking Stella about enemies. First, they have to fly back to the Comet Observatory.
Well, who do we have at the Comet Observatory’s Fountain dome this time? Pinkie and Twilight come flying in from the starry skies with another Power Star. The star gets stored into the beacon of the space station while Pinkie and Twilight meet Rarity and Fluttershy upon their return.
“Another star saved, darling?”
“Uh-huh. Another star saved by defeating another strong boss.”
“Another boss? How was the fight? That is, if you want to answer.”
“It was a little harder than the previous bosses we faced together.”
“Yeah. Plus, I almost got zapped at the beginning of the fight.”
Enter the awkward silence. Rarity and Fluttershy’s expressions imaginarily mentions “Oh my, we almost lost Pinkie.” Of course, silence breaks when somepony interrupts silence.
“We had a long mission, so we would like to nap after talking to Stella before doing anything else.”
“Very well, Twilight. Follow us out and then do what you have to do.”
So Rarity leads all ponies inside outside, taking the teleporter and stuff.
“Do you girls like the teleporter?”
“It was stunning. It’s something that we’ve never experience before.”
The Main 6 unite at the grassy area of the Observatory, between the Terrace and the Garage. When Rarity and Fluttershy sit next to Rainbow Dash and Applejack, Pinkie and Twilight walk towards Stella to talk about what the luma in Battlerock wants them to talk about.
“Ah. Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle. What brings you to stand in front of me?”
“A luma told us you’ll be able to talk about enemies.”
“Oh. Well, there are a lot of enemies that you may encounter on your journey. Are you sure you want me to mention them all?”
“We can take it, right, Pinkie?”
“Right, if we can take long walks, we can take long talks.”
“Fine. We’ll gather around in my garden.”
Pinkie and Twilight walks back to the rest of the Main 6, the CMC and Spike with Stella and sit down to learn about the enemies that they have and will be encountered
