Inside the workshop of her house, Rarity stands outside of a dressing room. Next to her is a dark blue helmet. Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer were standing with Rarity.
“What is keeping Twilight?” Rainbow asked impatiently. “We need to be ready for Canterlot High’s costume party tomorrow.”
“Easy, RD.” Sunset replied. “You know how Rarity is when it comes to the clothing department.”
Seconds later, Twilight Sparkle stepped out wearing a futuristic looking blue outfit with dark blue gloves, briefs, and boots. Everybody was surprised.
“Wowee!” Pinkie chirped “You look awesome!”
“Really?” Twilight wondered.
“Eeyup.” Applejack replied. “Look in the mirror.”
Twilight looked in the mirror and saw herself. She was shocked. “Wow! I look like that classic video game hero. Mega Man!”
“That’s the idea, darling.” Rarity said happily as she hands Twilight the helmet. “This helmet completes the outfit.”
As Twilight puts on the helmet, she looks in the mirror again. “You’re right! Now, I DO look like Mega Man.” She takes a fighting stance. “Look out, Dr. Wily!”
Everybody chuckled softly as Rarity approached them.
“Now, it’s your turns, girls.” Rarity announced. “Let’s start with you, Fluttershy.”
Minutes later, Fluttershy steps out wearing a winter style outfit. Blue winter jacket with a white hood. She also has on blue tights, white gloves and boots. She soon looks at the mirror.
“Oh dear.” Fluttershy gasped. “I look like Mega Man’s enemy: Iceman.”
“That you do, Fluttershy.” Rarity explained. “I figured that we’ll all dress up as characters from the first Mega Man adventure.”
“Really?” Twilight asked as she removes her helmet.
“Indeed.” Rarity replied as she turns to the next volunteer. “You’re next, Sunset.”
Sunset soon got nervous. She stepped out wearing a light gray unitard with red gloves and knee pads. She has on a red poncho and a headpiece that looks like a rook chess piece. Sunset looks at herself in the mirror.
“Wow! You did a great job, Rarity.” Sunset praised. “I look just like Fireman!”
“Thank you, Sunset.” Rarity replied. “Your red and yellow hair was the inspiration.”
Sunset blushed as Applejack came to comfort her. “Rarity is right, Sunset. She finds inspiration from the most unlikely of places.”
Rarity calls for the next volunteer. “Rainbow Dash, come on up.”
“Okay, Rarity.” Dash responded. “I hope this costume isn’t dorky looking.”
“Trust me, Dashie. You will not be disappointed.”
When Rainbow Dash steps out a black shirt with a red poncho, black tights, yellow boots, and red knee pads, and a yellow lightning bolt on her poncho.
“Check me out.” Dash chirped. “I look awesome as Elecman!”
“One more thing.” Rarity said as she hands Rainbow something. “This.”
It was a yellow mask with a bolt in the middle. After putting on the mask, Rainbow looks at herself again. “Now, I look like Elecman.”
Minutes later, Pinkie Pie steps out of the dressing room. Her outfit is fully black with an orange chest, orange arms and legs with yellow boots and gloves. She looks at her self in the mirror.
“Wow!” Pinkie chirped. “Who am I suppose to be?”
Twilight gave Pinkie an answer. “Bombman.”
“Bombman?” Pinkie gasped. “Wow! All I need is a prop.”
Rarity comes in, carrying a prop in the shape of a round black bomb. “Here you go, Pinkie.”
The party looks at herself in the mirror again, holding up the bomb.
“Now, I look like Bombman.” Pinkie praised. “Good work.”
Rarity smiled as she turns to her last volunteer. “Come on up, Applejack.”
Applejack stepped out wearing a black chest plate over a yellow shirt. She has on red shoulder pads, briefs, arm guards, and boots. She also has on yellow pants and a yellow helmet.
“Not bad.” Applejack praised. “With this padding, I look just like Gutsman.”
“You look awesome.” Rainbow Dash praised.
“Something’s wrong.” Fluttershy realized. “Where’s Rarity?”
“Right here.” Rarity announced.
She stepped out wearing a white outfit with red gloves, briefs, and boots. Rarity has on a red helmet with a scissor object on her helmet.
“No way.” Sunset gasped. “You’re dressed up like Cutman.”
“Indeed.” Rarity replied. “This completes the roster of the original ‘Mega Man’.”
Soon, Sweetie Belle walks into the room, and is surprised with what she sees.
“No way.” Sweetie gasped. “You’re all dressed like Mega Man characters!”
“That’s right, Sweetie Belle.” Rarity replied. “And, Twilight is the lead character himself.”
“You look great as Mega Man, Twilight.”
“Thanks, Sweetie Belle.” Twilight praised.
Sunset pulls out her smartphone. “How about taking a picture of us?”
“Me?” Sweetie gasped.
“Sure. This is going to be a good memory to keep in the scrapbook.”
Sweetie stood far from the girls, and took the picture. Everybody looked good in that photo. The next day, the costume party came to Canterlot High. All of the students dressed in different costumes.
“This is a great turn out.” Flash Sentry, dressed like an old fashioned gangster, said. “You look good as Mega Man, Twi.”
“Thanks, Flash.” Twilight replied.
Suddenly, the voice of a German woman called out to Twilight. “So, we meet again, Mega Man!”
Twilight turned, and saw a woman wearing a white lab coat, and has frizzy white hair. Seeing the magenta glasses of this woman, Twilight realized who it was.
“Photo Finish!” Twilight gasped. “You shocked me.”
“When I saw that you’re dressed like Mega Man,” Photo explained, “I had to approach you the way I did. After all, who better to shock Mega Man than his arch enemy, Dr. Wily.”
Meanwhile, the other girls are enjoying themselves. Limestone Pie, who dressed like a scarecrow, talked to her sister, Pinkie.
“Rarity sure did a good job dressing you up as Bombman, sis.” Limestone said happily.
“I know.” Pinkie replied. “Right?”
Suddenly, the Dazzlings, dressed like the witches of ‘Hocus Pocus’, came in to the room, and bad mouthed Twilight and her friends.
“I thought you live in Monsteropolis.” Adagio Dazzle said mockingly.
Twilight’s friends gathered to help their friend.
“Leave Twilight alone, you trio of troublemakers!” Rainbow threatened.
“You’re all a bunch of robot rejects!” Aria Blaze said with disgust in her voice.
The Dazzlings left, leaving a bad taste in the girls’ mouths.
“I guess they don’t like classic games.” Sunset figured.
Applejack agreed. “And, I thought everybody likes Mega Man.”
