Blizzard or Bust?
Ring. Ring. Ring. Twilight’s alarm clock sounded at 7:30 am. Twilight Sparkle woke up with a jolt. Opening her eyes drearily, she checked the time. Twilight gasped. “I can’t believe we overslept!”
Twilight shook each of the girls awake. Over by the window sill was Rainbow Dash, staring out of the window. “Urgh.” groaned Sunset. “We’ve got that big test today.”
“Not if I can help it!” shouted Rainbow Dash, leaping down from the window sill. “Whilst you were all napping, I had this really cool idea if we somehow make a FAKE SNOW DAY!”
“WHAT?!” yelled Twilight. “Are you mad? Do you know how much trouble we could get into?!”
“Anyway,” said Rainbow Dash, ignoring Twilight. “Who’s with me?”
The others nodded wearily.
“Then let’s get going!”
Each girl had a job to do. Applejack was hauling blocks of ice to Fluttershy and Fluttershy was telling her woodpeckers to peck the ice. Sunset Shimmer was painting a beautiful scenery. A snowflake fell on her hand. Her eyes flashed white and her body stiffened as she saw Camp Everfree. Sunset gently blew the snowflake away. Twilight was helping Applejack haul the snow with her magic and Rarity was knitting a scarf. Pinkie and a racoon were fighting over some potatoes. Fluttershy looked sternly at them. Pinkie then made a potato snowman.
The girls stood back and hid under Principal Celestia’s window.
Cranky Doodle Donkey came into the office. “The snow day is a hoax! That girl, Rainbow Dash is behind it all.”
Of course, the girls heard that. Rainbow didn’t believe it. Applejack led everyone but Rainbow Dash behind a bush.
Twilight summoned a piece of tape to cover Pinkie’s mouth. Principal Celestia came out and looked sternly at Rainbow Dash.
“Where’re your friends, Miss Dash?”
Rainbow Dash shrugged. Principal Celestia dragged the rainbow teen into the school.
“Detention.” she said, pointing at the classroom
Once the doors shut, the girls sighed with relief.
“Guys,” said Sunset. “I’m going to tell Principal Celestia we were involved too. I don’t want to see Rainbow in detention. Who’s with me?”
Applejack and Twilight nodded. Twilight opened the door and knocked on Principal Celestia’s door.
“Principal Celestia. We’d like to say that the rest of us were involved in the snow day but it was Rainbow’s idea.” said Sunset.
“Thank you girls,” said Celestia, “For being honest. I’m not going to give you detention, it’s not your fault. Sunset, I did expect better from you.”
“Sorry, mom.” whispered Sunset. “I got carried away.”
