"Wait what?! What do you mean by, 'ending this too soon'?" Lime nearly barked at the radio, "WE JUST STARTED IT!!!" Just not too long ago, Commander Lime revived an order from the HQ, saying that they'll have to cut this Simulated Attack short due to a mysterious thunder storm coming their way. The position of the storm is creepy, it just appeared out of nowhere and currently advancing towards them.
If it were just a regular storm then there's nothing to be worried about. But this is a THUNDER storm. Tanks are metal, jets are metal, and even their guns are metal. And what happens if a lighting bolt detects metal stuff? You know.
Though Lime is pissed at the order, but consider the safety for her troops, Lime have no choice but to call back the simulated attack.
Autumn Blaze never leaves a battle unfinished, even if she's ordered to leave. But this time, her hot-headed personality did not show, cuz no one wants to get cooked by a random lighting bolt.
It turns out that the storm cloud is moving in quicker than they thought, it'd only been 10 minutes, but the distant thunderclaps and roars can be heard, but strangely, there's no flashes of lighting in the clouds. Instead, the cloud glowed in mysterious faint purple color.
"Yo you see that?" a Kirin asked.
"Yeah the fuck was that?" another one asked.
"That's something we don't see everyday." Autumn murmured. But deep down she'd a bad feeling about this random storm cloud that popped out from nowhere. But they trust science, there's a reason for everything... Right?
Suddenly, the storm cloud stopped, then it collapsed, like LITERALLY collapsed. The cloud turned into dark purple smoke covering the entire 12th Red Army like a giant Smoke Screen.
"SHIT EVERY CREATURE TO YOUR VEHICLES!!!" Lime shouted, "PUT ON THE GAS MASKS!!! AND ON"T COME OUT UNLESS I SAY SO!!!"
Autumn knew better, she immediately dragged two newbies into a ZTZ-96A, closing the hatch while putting on the gas mask. But the gas leaked in for whatever reason, and Autumn Blaze felt her head spinning a few second later. The mask isn't working.
Fuck, she thought before blacking out, I'mma die due to whatever this shitty gas is...

"Ugh... My head..." The first thing Autumn heard was the moaning from a newbie, their gas mask is still on, but the mysterious purple gas is nowhere to be seen. Autumn took off her mask and breathed heavily, "Is anyone breathing still?" she asked, still wondering why didn't that gas killed her.
"The newbie pushed the other one, "Hey, stop acting, Cap Autumn's gonna whip ya ass."
The other newbie immediately sprang up, hitting his head on the roof of the tank. Autumn sighed, newbies... she thought.
She opened the hatch and looked outside, her jaw dropped. Autumn clearly remembered that her battalion is training on a grassy field in the mountains, but this new environment did NOT match Kirina at all.
Instead of grassy field plus mountains, it was a open plain with smoke coming out from the distance, bangs of artillery fire and explosions can be heard form the distant. Those sounds like rounds fired from 85 millimeter anti-aircraft guns and 122 millimeter howitzers, but... pretty sure they've 152 howitzers. Where did those come from?
"Cap Autumn!" she saw a brown female Kirin running towrds her with a binocular, "You've gotta see this!" she pointed towards their 10 o'clock, where the smoke came from.
"Thanks lieutenant Flare Grass," Autumn said as she watched the distant gun fire. What she saw made her realized that this is NOT a dream, but a literal living hell.
