Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash were currently fidgeting with their little souvenirs that they’ve purchased from the gift shop in Flurry Heart’s room. Why they’re there is simple. Since the royal family needed a break from staying in the castle all day, Pinkie and Rainbow were tasked with castle-sitting for the day. Meanwhile, the royal family has decided to go and explore the Crystal Kingdom since it’s snowing out, and that they were getting bored from staying inside all day. Which apparently is what’s gonna happen...
After what seemed like hours, Pinkie Pie dropped her plastic figurine of Cadence on the ground whilst laying on top of Flurry Heart’s bed, sighed in boredom, and stated, “I’m bored. Let’s do something fun.” Rainbow Dash was sighing and rolling her eyes at Pinkie’s supposed whining, and said, “if you’re bored, then go play with something. You are kinda like a kid after all”, she smirked. Pinkie Pie took slight offense to that, and said; “hey, no I’m not. You are.” Rainbow Dash then retorted, “nuh uh, you are.” Both of them went back and forth like this, until they’ve called it a draw, and went back to being bored.
“*groans* I’m so bored. There’s like literally nothing to do besides staying here all day, and just moping around.” Rainbow Dash was so bored that she even decided to blow a random raspberry for the supposed fun of it.
“*sigh* yeah”, Pinkie replied while looking bored as ever. Just then, she had an idea, but hesitated at first. “Hey uh, dashie?” Rainbow rose up slightly and asked “what’s up?” Pinkie asked; “nothing... but I was thinking... maybe we can get one of the old villains to.. I don’t know... babysit us?” Rainbow blinked, and retorted; “you nuts? No way. No way in Equestria would we ever have a villain babysit us. I mean... we’re not babies you know.” Pinkie then said; “yeah, but we could be, if we wanted to right? I mean, it’s happened before right?” Rainbow responded with “Yeah.. but that was a side effect from Zecora’s potion that Twilight took for her alicorn allergies; not us.” Both Pinkie and Rainbow sighed.
Just then, Pinkie proposed something: “hey, what if we do this, huh? Just this once, I promise.” Rainbow thought about that for a moment, before replying “well maybe. I don’t know. I’m not so sure.” Pinkie frowned, and whined “oh cmon. Please?” Rainbow sighed, and said “okay pink, but just this once, got it? One time, and it’s over, okay?” Pinkie nodded, and asked “okay. But.. how are we gonna do it? And.. who’s gonna be babysitting us?” Something tells them that this is gonna take a while to think and process this proposal. It’s gonna be a long one too...
