//------------------------------// // Adagio's on the move // Story: My Little Pokémon // by Amarvax //------------------------------// Unova. Castelia City. The last phase of Adagio's plan is ready to be put in motion. And that plan? Unleash all of her wrath on Twilight Sparkle and this time, without fail. And to do this, she was planning on using the entirety of Castelia City's residents to do so. But at the moment, she was stalking Twilight, watching her every moment like some crazed schoolgirl crush. Not only that, but she also had to keep a low-profile, just to make sure the rest of her friends don't spot her. "This is where our little story comes to an end, Sparkle," Adagio whispered. In order to have the entire city be apart of her plan, she believed it was about time she actually utilized the capabilities of her magic. Whenever she sings, it doesn't just cause negativity, but it also allows a form of mind control in the process. Adagio knows that if she can affect everypony, she'll be able to control them to her own will. And there's only one way to do so. Create a scene and sing to them all. And the one song she could sing from memory right now was continuously playing in her head due to Kricketot using the music device it brought along with it. Not only that, but she also found some potent free targets as well. The rest of Twilight's friends had arrived, only here to warn her. She had her bad luck with them earlier, but this time, she was to make sure that they're first and not last to be affected by her. "Ya'll are here too?" Applejack spoke to Pinkie Pie and Jade. "Yup! We're here to warn Twilight about Adagio. She's going all over the place looking for revenge and all that stuff." Pinkie nodded. "The exact same reason for us as well. She almost ruined Lilypad Town and crushed a little girl's dream. If it weren't for that Blissey, who knows what would've happened afterwards." Rarity said. "We came here to Castelia cause she's got her eyes set on only Twilight. So we figured she'd come here last." "Right you are." Speaking of Adagio, she walked up to the group casually without a single worry. The CMC hid behind Applejack, Pinkie and Rarity, fearing Adagio. "You all were extremely lucky back there. Eggs that bring happiness, pure child-like natures. All of those are so simple and the fact that they ended up negating my magic aggravates me to a whole new level. But after a little run-in with some human, I don't have to worry about any of that anymore." "If you didn't win back there, what makes you think you'll win now?" Applejack pointed her hoof at the siren. "What makes me think I'll win now? Are you blind? Take a closer look." Adagio showed off her horn, revealing that she was now a unicorn. At least, part unicorn-part siren. Seeing this made the group gasp in surprise. "Surprised? I was too. That Rift human did me a surprisingly splendid favour by turning me into a fully-fledged unicorn. With this, I can finally contain huge amounts of magic power that I could never handle due to my mind losing control. Nifty, don't you think"? She flaunted her stuff off. "Big deal! You were a unicorn the last time you wore the Alicorn Amulet! What makes this so different!" Scootaloo exclaimed. "You're about to find out." Adagio knew what to do with all this magic at her disposal. The only thing that Applejack and the others saw for a split second was a green sparkle of light that shot out of Adagio's horn. This light was too fast for them to react to, as a result, it was the last thing they saw. Over at the gateway that led to Castelia, Ash, Pikachu and Derpy had finally arrived, being late and all. "We're here! Castelia City!" Ash introduced Derpy. "Ooh...it's just as big as I heard!" Derpy took a moment to take in the gargantuan metropolis that was Castelia. It lived up to her expectations in size and even surpassed it. "What's that?!" She then noticed an ice cream stand where they sell the city's most beloved delicacy. Casteliacones. Derpy immediately dashed over to the ice cream stand, wanting a bite. "This ice cream looks good!" "Interested? You can have one for just 50 Pokedollars." The ice cream vendor spoke to her. "Oh. Um..." Derpy looked in her saddle-bag for some money. And it was at this moment that she realized she never got Pokedollars like everypony else. She was still stuck with bits. "I don't have those." "Don't worry about it. I got you covered." Ash held out his own. "Pikachu!" "Oh! Thanks, Ash!" Derpy flew over grabbing the dollar from Ash's hand with her mouth. Derpy bought a Casteliacone immediately, wanting to get a good taste at this city's most popular dessert. "Here you go, my little pony. One fresh and cold Casteliacone. Just for you." The vendor outstretched his arm, giving the ice cream to Derpy. She held it in her hooves, being amazed at its look. She just wanted to taste it as soon as possible. And she did. Without wasting any time, Derpy licked the Casteliacone, finally being able to see what makes them so beloved. "It's amazing! Best ice cream I've ever had!" Derpy had ice cream all over her face as she kept enjoying the Casteliacone. "I kinda want one too now!" Ash went up to the vendor. "Pikachu!" They ended up buying their own, remembering how delicious Casteliacones were. It has been a while after all. Looking at Castelia, Ash and Pikachu could see how much it has changed over the years. It still looked the same but it sure has gotten its improvements. What also caught Ash's eye was the battle plaza. A brand new area that had opened up in Castelia. In there, Rainbow Dash and Spitfire were participating in the plaza, going for double battles. Ash was all about battling so this caught his attention in a heartbeat. "A battle plaza! Awesome!" The young trainer took off, heading towards the plaza as quickly as he could. "Oh! Wait for me, Ash!" Derpy devoured the remains of the ice cream by eating the cone, flying after Ash and Pikachu. The two entered, the plaza, already pumped to experience it. The sound of them barging through the doors pulled the attention of a few trainers. One of those few trainers were Rainbow Dash, Spike and Spitfire, who was especially looking for Ash. "Oh. There he is." Spitfire commented. "Guess I might get a chance to battle alongside him before I head back." "Check this place out." Ash got a good look at the area. What a sight to behold it was. For something so new it was full of life and felt like it's been here in Castelia for years. So many options to choose here. Single battle or double? Or if anyone's feeling adventurous, a triple battle. But, before the trainer and his Pokemon could decide, Spitfire had already come up to him. "Ash Ketchum, right?" Spitfire spoke. "Yeah. That's me." Ash nodded in response. "Pika-Pika." "Perfect. I was wondering when you'd show up. Name's Spitfire. But, I guess you already knew that by being friends with Rainbow Dash." "You bet! What do you need, Spitfire?" "I was wondering if you would team up with me in a double battle. Just one before I head back to Equestria. What do ya say?" Spitfire was straightforward and didn't waste time with her request. Then again, she doesn't have too much time left. She has an important job after all. "Sure thing!" Ash agreed in a second. His love for battling is equal to that of the pegasi and their history of being warriors in the past. "Oh, hey Rainbow! Spike!" Ash waved over to the two from a distance as they waved back in response. "Wait. Are we gonna battle?" Derpy asked. "No, just us two, Derpy," Ash answered. "You can watch if you want." "Oh. I've never actually seen a Pokemon Battle. What's it like?" "What's it like? You've been missing out on some eye-candy for these past months, Muffins." Spitfire nodded. "It's only the coolest thing ever. I'd even admit I kinda find it a bit more fun than being in the Wonderbolts. Just a bit though." "Ooh. Now I really wanna see this." Derpy felt a bit of excitement from what she's just heard. "Watch us. You're gonna see just how great a Pokemon battle is. Right, Pikachu?" "Pikachu-Pi!" During the exact same time when Ash and Spitfire were about to partake in a double battle together, Twilight had finally caught up with Fluttershy, seeing her at Castelia Park. Currently, for the past few minutes, Fluttershy and her Audino have been chatting with some pretty rare Unova Pokemon that she hasn't seen in the Pokemon House yet. "Fluttershy! There you are!" Twilight called for her friend. "Have a look at these." She came to her just to show off the necklaces on her Espeon, Minccino and as an extension, the Vulpix from her lab. "Ooh. Are those necklaces with your Cutie Mark on them?" Fluttershy flew over. "That's right. There's a small little shop where a guy will make a necklace for your Pokemon. He ended up using my Cutie Mark as reference. You should try it. I bet it'll look good on your Audino." "That does sound fun. Do you want a necklace with my Cutie Mark on it Audi?" "Audino!" Audino nodded aggressively in agreement. "Great! It's pretty cheap so no need to worry about any huge leaps in currency." Twilight replied. Just as she was ready to lead Fluttershy to this necklace stand, they noticed that every human and even some ponies were all walking towards the exact same spot, south from here. From where they headed, it seemed there was something that grabbed their attention. And to Twilight and Fluttershy's ears, it sounded like singing? "Music? Is somepony performing today?" "Looks like it. I bet it's some sort of concert." "Come to think of it..." Twilight listened to the song closely and recognized the words from it. "That sounds familiar..." She spent a bit more time picking on the sound as she and Fluttershy advanced forward, following the crowd. The further they went, the more Twilight could recognize that song. And standing there, right at the very start at Castelia City was Adagio. She had managed to pull everyone in the city in by singing the one song she can memorize thanks to Kricketot constantly playing it on the stolen device. We've got the music, makes you move it Got the song that makes you lose it We say "jump", you say "how high?" Put your hands up to the sky "Adagio?!" Twilight exclaimed. It was something she hoped wouldn't be true. Adagio had managed to serenade everyone here by her singing. And thanks to her now being a unicorn, it was much more potent than before. In fact, the amount of magic being exerted from just being a unicorn is equal to that of when she was at her peak as a siren. Twilight was about to move forward until she saw the unthinkable. The rest of her friends had been affected as well. Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, the Cutie Mark Crusaders and even Jade had been under her spell. Adagio managed to build up all this power by singing for a good minute. This allowed her to even gain an advantage over Jade's cosmic energy that surrounds her, but the control looked like it wasn't going to last. All of her friends except for a few others were under her spell, enchanted by Adagio. The siren had ceased her singing, spotting the one she hated the most right over there. "Twilight Sparkle. Glad you could arrive here. Love the crowd I've gathered?" Adagio spoke with her usual cocky voice. "Adagio! Release my friends and everypony else!" "Pah! You wish I would! I've come too far to just quit now! Especially now that you're here. Right in front of me. Isn't that right, everypony?" Adagio made a command that had everypony turn around to Twilight. They had the usual green glow, showing that they were in fact under Adagio's control. At this point, Adagio would lose control due to how much power she's gained, but thanks to Lucien making her a unicorn, that's no issue now. "Oh, my. I didn't expect singing to be used for something like this." Fluttershy hid behind her Audino. "It shouldn't be." Twilight stepped her hoof forward. "Even when we're all trying to enjoy the Pokemon world with a visit, you're still deciding to exact revenge on me." "Of course I am! Do you have any idea on what you've caused?!" Adagio growled. "You intoxicating disease known as friendship is what ruined me and my sisters in the first place! You couldn't even begin to imagine the damage you have done." "But your sisters are fine now! They're our friends in Ponyville! The same thing could apply to you, Adagio! If you could just listen to us for a minute! You don't have to exact revenge!" Twilight walked closer to her, pleading for Adagio to listen. However, the people and ponies that Adagio was controlling blocked Twilight's pathway to her. "I wouldn't expect you to understand. Not from a sanctimonious species that think they're so righteous, anyways. All that matters now is that this entire city is under my control! This beats some pathetic school any day of the week! With this unicorn horn, I can achieve feats that I would never be able to perform like my old self! I suppose being a pony isn't too bad if it comes with a benefit such as this! Now, it's about time I finally put an end to this once and for all! By obliterating you, Twilight Sparkle!" Adagio's puppets separated just to give her a pathway to face Twilight. She was here no-nonsense whatsoever. She was ready to put an end to this once and for all. "Vulpix. Get behind me." Twilight made the Fox Pokemon stay back for its own protection. Her own Pokemon stepped forward, ready to defend their trainer. "I still remember some tricks from when I had that Alicorn Amulet. Allow me to show you!" Adagio stomped her hooves down with her sharp eyes flashing a vibrant green. Unbeknownst to all of this, those at the battle plaza had no idea what was actually going on outside. But the song was for sure reaching them, but just a tad bit. Ash and Spitfire were ready to partake in their double battle, but that was put to a halt when Adagio's green light flashed through the plaza. This light grabbed everyone in the plaza's attention. Its emanating aura was enough to slowly enchant them as well. As a result, they were all compelled to walk towards the direction the light was coming from. "What's going?" Ash wondered. "Pika?" "Spitfire. Do-" Ash ceased his sentence as he noticed Spitfire walking towards the light as well. Even someone with heaps amounts of willpower such as herself couldn't resist. Rainbow Dash and Spike were unfortunately caught by it as well. Only Ash and Pikachu were managing to resist it. "Why's this happening? Is it because of that light?" "Pika-Pika?" Derpy was floating towards the green light, convened by it and the sound that was rising in volume as she got closer. Ash recognized this as a form of mind control. Wouldn't be the first time he's seen various forms of it after all. Realizing that they were all under mind control, there was only one thing left to do. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Shock them. And that's what Pikachu did. An electric bolt of thunder struck Derpy head-on. It hurt for sure, however, the jolt was enough to snap her out of the mind control, bringing the true Derpy back. "Oh. Something's shocking." Derpy giggled as her mane was all puffy and standing up now. "Mind control, huh? But who's doing it...Come on, Pikachu!" "Pikachu!" What was actually happening on the outside is that Adagio had begun a physical quarrel with Twilight. Those green lights were not just enchanting sparkles, but they were also magic spells meant to put the hurt on Twilight. Not only that, but Adagio commanded those that she was controlling to grab a hold of them and keep them in place. "Hold still!" Adagio growled, unleashing a magic ray full of nothing but disdain and anger. Twilight moved away from it as she witnessed that one single ray create a hole in the ground. She was perplexed on how powerful Adagio was as just a simple unicorn. Adagio decided to play dirty by shooting a ray up at a nearby building. The ray of magic sliced the roof off the building, just according to Adagio's plan. The now sliced roof was falling downwards, aimed at Fluttershy. "Fluttershy!" Twilight gasped as she noticed the huge roof was about to fall on Fluttershy who was unaware. "Eve! Psybeam!" A quick save was made. Her Espeon obliterated the roof with a Psybeam as pieces of rubble scattered about. "Gotcha." Adagio found a blind spot since Twilight's back was turned. As a result, she unleashed one more ray for good measure. But, Twilight's Minccino got in the way, taking the hit for her trainer. Due to this, Minccy took considerable amounts of damage, putting it in severe pain already. "Minccy!" Twilight turned to her Pokemon, seeing it on the floor with green sparks coming out of it. "I won't hit the wrong target this time!" Adagio went for another one, attacking Twilight once more. The young alicorn put up a barrier to protect her, but to her surprise, Adagio's ray was grand enough to almost shatter it. "How can she be this powerful as a unicorn from the get-go? Fluttershy! Get Minccy to safety please!" "O-Okay! Audi! Use Protect around Minccy and grab-" "I don't think so!" Adagio wasn't about to let any of that happen. She commanded some pegasi to fly around Fluttershy and Twilight's Minccino, preventing them from taking action. A pegasus landed down, standing in front of Minccy while a few stood behind Fluttershy and her Audino. Adagio cast a spell that summoned magical green chains that held both Fluttershy and Audino down for a moment. "You think I'm just going to let you have the chance to make a rebuttal?! Get real!" "In that case...Eve! Psybeam!" Twilight's Espeon ran out of the barrier, attacking the one who dare threatened to harm her trainer. Adagio scoffed at the Psybeam, thinking it to be pathetic and weak. She simply conjured up a mirror that reflected the Psybeam back at Eve. "Espeon!" The Sun Pokemon felt the weight of its own attack damage it. Twilight watched as she saw both of her Pokemon getting punished by Adagio's fury. "Eve!" Twilight exclaimed. She had enough of Adagio harming her Pokemon. As a response, Twilight decided to finally go on the offensive by herself. It became a traditional clash of magic as both rays of purple and green made contact with each other. Twilight was shocked by how powerful Adagio was for being just a unicorn, even for one who wasn't born a unicorn. The amount of magic she contained was slowly pushing Twilight's magic back. "What's wrong, Sparkle?! Too much for you to handle?!" Adagio's eyes flashed green once more. This time, her siren side was really showing. More of her scales were becoming visible as her sharp fangs extended. Slowly but surely, she was returning to her true self with the inclusion of being half unicorn. And this doesn't spell good for Twilight at all. "Hold her down!" A new command was issued by Adagio. Everyone she was controlling had already held Fluttershy down. Now they can hold Twilight down, who was in the middle of a struggle at the moment. They all moved in on Twilight like mindless drones, ready to restrain her. But each of them had their actions postponed permanently by a swift and hard-hitting Thunderbolt. Ash and Pikachu had finally come out of the battle plaza. It spread onto one person and pony onto the other, acting like a wildfire. The Thunderbolt they fired was actually powerful enough to snap them out of the mind control. An electric shock always does the trick...most of the time. "Twilight! You okay?" "Ash!" Twilight spoke with joy. Those hit by the Thunderbolt and out of the mind control held their heads in confusion, unaware of what just happened. All they can remember was singing from before the flash. "Hm? What was I doing?" A male clerk scratched his head. "Something about music, I think?" A guitarist spoke. "NO!" Adagio growled, realizing that her control had been stopped by a thunderbolt of all things. "Ash Ketchum. How in Equestria could I have forgotten about you!" "Adagio?" Ash responded, turning to the enraged siren. "Oh geez...What happened?" Pinkie groaned as all of Twilight's friends had been freed as well. The pegasi surrounding Fluttershy had also snapped out of it, falling on their backs in confusion. "My head's all doozy..." said Sweetie Belle. "Iron Tail on the chains Pikachu," Ash commanded his buddy to free Fluttershy and Audino by breaking the chains with a good old Iron Tail. Adagio's plans, once again, for the fourth time in a row were being foiled. It was like she couldn't win no matter what, even with all of this magic. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" She bellowed with an echo ringing out. "After all I did! All the planning! Every action I took! You all still somehow manage to break my control! What is wrong with this world?!" The amount of aggression building up in Adagio was impossible to comprehend. In fact, her rage was reaching a boiling point so intense that it actually looked like she was about to explode. On a grand scale even. Adagio held her head in frustration as visible veins could be seen. "What am I doing wrong?! WHY CAN'T I WIN?!" But this pent up rage was also enough to restore Adagio to her true self. Her siren self. An orb of magic surrounded the half-unicorn half-siren, transforming her body into a new species unseen to both worlds. The body of a siren yet the horn of a unicorn. A pretty long one too. "FORGET CONQUERING EQUESTRIA! I'LL JUST OBLITERATE YOU ALL UNTIL THERE'S NOTHING LEFT OF YOU! Chapter 151 End!
