Twilight and Leon returned to Adventure Bay after sitting in the meadow and discussing their lives. They had just heard that Katie and Calie were brought down from that skyscraper safely. They thanked Rainbow Dash for helping. Afterwards, Ryder told Twilight that he saw Chase a little while ago, after she and Spike left. Twilight hoped he was okay, as well as wondering where Cozy Glow was because she hadn't had a mission with the Paw Patrol in over a month. Soon, Twilight and Leon were in the middle of town when Twilight felt something close.
"Wait..." She said, holding her hoof out to stop Leon, who was confused. Twilight's eyes widened. "Look out!" She quickly grabbed Leon and teleported them about 10 feet away, just in time to dodge a silver beam of magic that hit where they were a few seconds ago. The two stared at the crater made from the beam.
"There you are!" Twilight and Leon turned to see who said that; A white unicorn Stallion with golden eyes. His mane was gray with white on the tips. The bottom of his hooves were dark blue and he wore Golden rings around his forehooves. His cutie-mark symbolized Justice and time. "You're the Iblis Trigger. Your actions will kill us all!"
"Who are you?" Twilight asked, blocking the newcomers path from Leon.
"My name is Moonstone Justice," The stallion said before getting in a attack position. "For the future of the Multiverse, I will destroy you!" Moonstone charged at the alicorn, who flew above him. Twilight used her magic to fire a beam of magic at the stallion. Moonstone grabbed it with his telekinesis and sent it back at her. Twilight quickly used a force field to block it.
Moonstone quickly used his own magic to grab multiple objects and chuck them at Twilight. The alicorn dodged by teleporting and appeared right behind the stallion. Twilight raised her hindlegs and bucked Moonstone in the side, knocking him several feet away. He was down on his knees, groaning in pain as if he had been stabbed. Twilight walked over to him.
"Hey," Twilight began, but was interrupted when Moonstone recovered and blasted the alicorn, sending her into a wall. Twilight fell to the ground in pain, causing Leon to gasp. Moonstone walked over to Twilight and looked at her questionably.
"Hmph! Is this some kind of joke?" He asked unamused. "How can a weakling like you cause the destruction of the multiverse?" As Moonstone spoke, Leon failed to notice a pair of metal arms reaching down for him.
"W-What are you talking about?" Twilight asked confused.
"No matter." Moonstone responded. "For the future's sake, the Iblis Trigger must be killed!" He was about to finish Twilight when the two ponies heard a loud yell and turned to see a giant drone flying off with Leon.
"Leon!?" Twilight shouted getting up. Twilight tried to chase after the robot, but Moonstone quickly used his magic to knock her back down.
"Don't you turn away from me, bitch! Time to send you straight to Hell!"
"Stop!" Moonstone turned and saw a yellow pegasus with a pink mane get in the way with her wings open.
"Fluttershy?" Moonstone asked in surprise. "Get out of the way, Fluttershy!"
"I won't!" Fluttershy yelled. "Twilight's my friend!"
"You're friend!?" The stallion said shocked. Twilight got up and turned to Fluttershy.
"Thanks Fluttershy." She said. "I appreciate it." Twilight began to fly after the robot.
"Leave this to me!" Fluttershy said as Twilight flew off. Twilight chased the drone for a few minutes until it teleported away.
"Shit! Not again!" Twilight said in frustration. She descended to the ground and began to think. 'Are they going back to Foggy Bottom? No, they probably have another hideout. I doubt Humdinger is dumb enough to use the same lookout again after we found out where his first one is. He did move to another in the desert after all.'
"Hey, Twilight!" She snapped out of her thoughts and looked up to see Spike flying down to her.
"Spike! Are you ok?"
"Yeah. I tried to distract all of them, but Humdinger planned the chase cleverly." Spike said. "It turns out he expected me to make a distraction, so he used that as a way to distract me while he followed you. The irony of it all."
"It's okay Spike." Twilight assured him. "You didn't know, but now he got away with Leon again and he could've gone to a different lookout."
"Hey guys!" The two turned to see Rubble the Bulldog.
"Oh hi Rubble." Twilight said. "Is Chase back yet?"
"No, but I heard someone's waiting for you at the Adventure Bay warehouse area."
"Who is it?" Spike asked.
"I don't know." Rubble answered. "Chrysalis told me that whoever wanted to see you said it was urgent."
"Chrysalis is in town?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, she also said there was something weird going on." Rubble said. "Something about a Sun God or something. Whatever it was, she seemed worried."
"Well, thanks for letting us know, Rubble." Twilight said before she and Spike flew off to the town's warehouse. When they arrived, they found Applejack standing near the gate. "Applejack?" The orange mare turned to the pair holding some kind of card.
"Ah saw Humdinger on the outskirts of the city." She tossed the card to Twilight, who caught it in her hoof. "He wanted me ta give this ta ya." Twilight looked at the card and was surprised when a hologram of Mayor Humdinger appeared.
"Princess Twilight." Humdinger began. "If you want me to return the prince to safety, you are to surrender your Harmony Crystal to me. Meet me at my new base at Jake's Mountain." The hologram faded out.
"Huh." Applejack began. "That bloated fiend sure is cocky."
"This must be a trap." Spike said. "How do we know Humdinger's not gonna honor his words."
"Well ah can tell he's up to somethin'." Applejack responded. "What exactly is the big whoop on these crystals anyway?"
"'The big whoop'?" Twilight asked. "They're not ordinary crystals, they were created by Starswirl when he was a teenager. There are 7 in existence, and they grant power to those who wield them." Spike thought about this info.
"Sounds an awful lot like those 'Chaos Emerald' things Sonic and his friends have. Remember that time travel adventure we had with them?"
"Yup." Applejack responded. "Ah wonder how they're doin'."
"Well, I'm going."
"Twilight?" Spike asked.
"Since Humdinger went ahead and told us where Leon is..." Twilight grinned. "I think he should be personally thanked."
"Hey guys!" The trio turned to see Rex approaching them. "Nyx is with us at the lookout. She also said that Humdinger is hiding somewhere on Jake's Mountain."
"We know."
"Oh..." Rex said. "Well, Everest is waiting for you, so she can help you get to the base."
"Thanks Rex." Twilight said before turning to Spike and Applejack. "Come on, Everest is waiting." The other two nodded as they set of for the mountain.
JAKE'S MOUNTAIN
After hours of travel, Twilight, Applejack and Spike were finally at the edge of the mountain. By the time they got there, it was 10PM and Everest was nearby.
"Oh, there you are." The husky said. "Great to see you, The base is hidden at the bottom of the nearby cavern." The trio looked down the slope.
"That's a very steep hill." Spike said. "How do we get down there quicker?"
"Easy!" Everest said before barking and activating her pup-pack, which dispensed 4 snowboards. "We snowboard it!" Everest jumped on her snowboard and started sliding down the slope. The 2 ponies and dragon look at each other before shrugging and joining the husky. The group dodged a few hazards along the way; a few robots, trees and even jumped some huge gaps in the ground. They all nearly got crushed by a giant snowball, but Spike was able to roll while breathing fire to bowl into the snowball and melt it. Eventually, the group made it to the bottom and got off their snowboards. "Alright guys, we're here."
"Ok, but where's the lair?" Applejack asked.
"It's right underneath us." Everest pointed out. "It'll be hard to break through the metal surface covering it." Applejack just smirked. The Farm mare raised her forehooves and slammed them down, destroying the surface. "Huh. Well that's one way to do it."
"Thanks for your help Everest," Twilight said. "We'll take it from here." Everest nodded as the ponies and dragon descended into the lair.
Eventually, the trio walked into a cylinder-shaped room, looking around for Leon.
"You're late." They turned to see Humdinger in a room within the wall, visible because of a glass wall.
"Well, we had ta deal with yer pests!" Applejack responded.
"Where is Leon!?"
"Well, someone's a little impatient." Humdinger said as Leon appeared next to him.
"Twilight!" The trio was about to charge and attack Mayor Humdinger, until he held up his hand.
"Ah ah ah. You better not move a muscle." He said. "Now, the Harmony Crystal." Twilight responded by taking it out. "Place it there." Humdinger said, pointing to a metal stand. Twilight placed the crystal slowly and cautiously. The crystal was warped to Humdinger who began to cackle. "Fools!" He pressed a button and a strange energy surrounded the room with the trio inside. Applejack tried to buck them out, but only burned her hind hooves. "Pointless. It can't be overpowered by the likes of you. Now, allow me to introduce you to my newest creation. It's a Solaris prototype."
"What!?" Leon said in shock. Humdinger replied by grinning and pressed the same button again. The trio were lifted into the air, spinning around. Twilight reached out to Spike before they all were warped away. Leon fell to his knees.
"Oh don't worry, they're not dead... yet." Humdinger said. "They've been teleported to another timeline. Although, I can't say if it'll be in the distant past or far future. The machine could use some tuning up. In fact, it needs your power in order to be complete."
"My power?"
"Yes, and now that I have the Harmony Crystals, my plan will be complete. And you." Humdinger added. "The prince of Abyssinia. That's all I need to bring the Flames of Death. And with it's power, I will control everything and rule the multiverse." Humdinger walked over to Leon. "So it'd be wise of you to remain on my 'good' side." He began to walk off as Leon put his paws together.
'Twilight, please be okay.'
