Chapter 7; Grawp(about 6 weeks later…)

Harry sat down in the stands to watch Ron. Hagrid tapped him and Hermione on the shoulder. "Oh, hey, Hagrid," said Hermione. "Is everything alright?"

Hagrid motioned to the Forbidden Forest.

"Alright," said Harry. "We're coming."





Harry and Hermione followed Hagrid to the Forbidden Forest.

"This is my half-brother, Grawp," said Hagrid, proudly. Hagrid poked the rock like thing. "GRAWPY!" Hermione looked up at the giant in wonder. Grawp lumbered towards them and grabbed her.

Hermione waved a finger at Grawp, sternly. "Grawp, put me down," she said sternly. "Put. Me. Down."

Grawp looked sheepish and let Hermione go. "Hermy," said Hagrid. "This is Hermy and Harry."

"What are we supposed to do to him? Teach him English? Be a friend?" demanded Harry.

"Exactly," said Hagrid. "In case I get sacked."





They met Ron back in the Gryffindor common room. "So that's why Hagrid was away!" cried Ron.

"Yeah," said Harry. "That's why. Anyway. I need to go. I agreed to meet Rainbow. She invited me to watch band practise. You comin'?"

"Nah," said Hermione. "I'm going to study. And make sure Ron does his homework. Have fun."

Harry smiled. He turned and pushed open the portrait and walked out of the Gryffindor common room.
