Two pegasi are resting on a cloud high in the sky above the outskirts of Ponyville. Dash is lying on her back gazing up at the love of her life, simply content enjoy the moment. Her wedding pendant hangs loosely around her neck, boldly displaying Fluttershy's cutie mark.
Fluttershy is sitting on her haunches, lapping up the sights and sounds of the high altitude resting spot she has been brought to. Her wedding pendant flutters in the high altitude breeze, Rainbow's cutie mark almost becoming one with the clouds on the horizon. She does her best to hide her nerves. She can't remember being so high up since the days of living in Cloudsdale with her parents and Dash.
"So what do you think of my awesome napping place, Fluttershy?"
Fluttershy glances down. The world far below swims before her, all the ponies below are like ants. She averts her gaze, stomach filled with butterflies, totally nervous and unused to sitting at such high altitude.
"Um… it's really… high up."
"Oh come on! You have no reason to be afraid of heights. You can fly just like any other pegasus."
Dash delicately dusts Fluttershy's wings with her hoof, driving her point home. Electric sensations shoot down from Fluttershy's wingtips as the cyan hoof continues its work.
"Plus you have me here! I won't ever let anything happen to the cutest mare in all of Equestria."
"Oh, Dashie."
She nuzzles the rainbow maned daredevil who continues to recline on the cloud. They slip into a long slow passionate kiss, holding onto the moment. All nerves associated with the high altitude vanish. They pull away, slightly breathless. Fluttershy wears a smile on her face as she gazes down at her grinning wife.
"I guess… you're right. I have nothing to fear while I have my brave Rainbow Dash with me."
"That's my mare."
Fluttershy slips down beside Dash, covering the light blue tummy with her left wing as she gazes in contented awe down at the birds below, nerves forgotten.
"I just love this resting place." Once again, Fluttershy feels a hoof meandering along her creamy wing, caressing the feathers, sending tingles down each pinion.
She turns to face the speaker who's cyan muzzle is mere inches away from her own. She gazes deep into the alluring depths of the rosy pink eyes waiting patiently for their owner to continue.
"It has a really awesome view, perfect temperature and complete privacy."
A slow grin spreads across the cyan daredevils face and 'Shy feels her heartbeat speed up. 'Is Dashie implying what I think she is?' Her mind betrays her as it drifts off, setting creamy yellow wings aflutter and heating her cheeks.
Her trail of thought is interrupted by a pair of lips locking with her own. All too soon she feels Dash break contact. The kisses slowly travel down her delicate yellow coat. Fluttershy feels like she is in some sort of amazing dream.
Rainbow Dash continues her trail down, a mischievous smile almost splitting her beautiful blue face in two. Fluttershy feels a hoof gently caress the base of her wings and they snap to full extension.
A titanic bang erupts from below instantly shattering the intimate moment into a million peaces. The shockwave rippled through their private cloud almost shredding it. Fluttershy dives into her cyan wife, burying herself in the safety offered within.
An eternity passes in stunned silence. Fluttershy feels the brush of cyan wings as her marefriend offers all the protection possible to her frightened lover. Fluttershy feels herself slowly calm as a pair of comforting forehooves rub her back as Dash leans over their damaged cloud to see what the disturbance is.
'Shy feels the mare holding her tense up. The comforting hooves return to their protective positions around her back.
Tense seconds pass, Fluttershy is scared to look below.
"W-what is it Dashie?"
Another tense moment passes.
"'Shy, you're not going to believe this…"
