In some very sad news today, it has been reported that the Goddess-Queens' step-daughters, Princess Toolaroola and Princess Coconut Cream have contracted Coltovirus. It is not sure exactly how they contracted it but their step-mothers heard reports that they had went to the local sweets' shop and did not wear their masks while they were speaking to other ponies.
From what we understand, multiple patrons in the shop that day were from Ponyville where there have been multiple cases because of two ponies who had recently traveled to Maretonia, a Coltovirus hot spot. Now while our Goddess-Queens can not contract any kind of illness, they are still concerned. They are concerned that their step-daughters may wind up in the hospital and they are also concerned about castle staff maybe having contracted the virus as well.
Right now, the castle staff and the two princesses have been placed in the quarantine apartments on the north end of town for two weeks. If anypony gets worse symptoms, they will be hospitalized in the Coltovirus wing of the hospital. With the two princesses being Alicorns, the chances of them ever getting any symptoms from the virus are very small but as everypony knows, it is the asymptomatic carriers that often spread it more than anypony else.
During an interview with the Goddess-Queens, they stated that too many ponies are violating the mask mandates and have apologized for not punishing those who have violated those rules appropriately. As of right now, anypony caught violating the mandate will be banished to the moon for an indefinite period of time. With any luck, creatures will pay attention and a vaccine can be made sooner than later so we can return to normal, well as normal as we can be in a post-Coltovirus world.
