//------------------------------// // Ch 3. The Goddess's Warning // Story: Titans in Equestria // by SunsetDragon //------------------------------// Gojira huffed as he sat in his chair on the way to the Crystal Empire. A summit was being held between leaders from a few other countries and Equestria. Gojira was originally going to stay in Canterlot but was brought along due to the news of him and Celestia being 'official'. He was not looking forward to going to this summit, sure he would get to see Cadence and Shining Armor again, but now he would have to deal with the things that Celestia and Luna dealt with. Meetings, delegations, talk of trade, having to present himself to other leaders, ugh. Sure he met other 'leaders' before, but it wasn't the same. Hell, the last time he met a 'leader' he fought her for about a day before she begged for her life and made a deal with him. He was not looking forward to it but he was a little happy that Twilight was coming along. She and the elements had been invited due to being national heroes and because Twilight wanted support since this would be her first event as a Princess. He looked around the royal car that he and everypony else was in and saw that Twilight was talking to her friends, Luna was enjoying a book, and so was Celestia though she was also drinking some tea. He turned his head back to the window to look at the scenery. He was interested to see a city of crystal but he just wished it wasn't so far north. He stared at the scenery as it changed to show ice and snow covering everything. The cold never bothered him, his natural radiation kept his body warm. No, it was what the ice and snow reminded him of that lead to his dislike of it. His greatest triumph as some had called it. The place that served as the prison for the one who fell from the stars. He scowled out the window, that was one memory that he would always clearly remember. He fought for his life that day, with everything he had and he had won. The ice and snow just reminded him of it, and that reminder brought it back in full. The wind and snow howled all around him and the thunderstorm was harsh. The rain it produced wasn't natural, it felt like sharp claws digging into his scales. The constant flashes and strikes of lightning told him he was getting closer to his target. He had tracked him to the frozen antarctic and was determined to end this little dance they had. They had been battling each other off and on for a couple millennia, using the off years to heal their wounds before finding each other and battling again. No more, this would be their final battle and he was going to make sure of it. He stopped his approach once he turned at a small mountain. He looked over and saw his opponent land on the ground. His clawed feet landing on the ice with a solid thud and his golden scales glistening in the night. The middle head turned his way and snarled, signaling the other two to do the same. They turned to him and kept their crouched position, ready to strike. "Come for another fight lizard?" The middle asked He growled in response and let out a low roar, letting it emanate all around the frozen terrain around them. He steadied himself and started to flash his spines. He growled in anger at the hydra before him and that was apparently enough to annoy the right one. "It doesn't matter the reason you came, this all ends with your long and painful death!" The right exclaimed. The left chirped before saying to his brothers, "I'm ready when you two are." That was enough for Gojira, this dragon irked him and he wanted nothing more than his death. They had battled for millennia after millennia, no more. This dance of theirs was going to end here, one way or another. "Stop talking." Gojira said, "LET'S END THIS!!!!" Ghidorah stood up straight with all his heads held high. He stretched his wings and raised them into the air, they cloaked the area in front of him, covering it in his shadow. His tails raised behind him and the serrated fans on the ends startled rattling. They stomped a foot before all three heads snarled at Gojira with their horns flared. Gojira slammed his foot on the ground before raising his tail and slamming it. He raised it again and he stood to his full height, eyeing the hydra that stood in front of him. They stared at each other for a few seconds before roaring at each other. They immediately ran towards each other, slamming into each other with enough force to create a shockwave. The left head immediately went for Gojira's shoulder, biting down on it and ripping into Gojira's scales. Gojira grabbed the right head by the jaws and held his mouth closed while he bit down on the middle's neck. The middle roared in pain while the left let go of Gojira's shoulder and bit down on his neck. Gojira immediately let go of the middle and roared out in pain. The middle used the opportunity to bite down on his arm and that forced Gojira to release the right. The right charged up his breath attack while the middle moved out of the way to avoid being hit. Right let it loose and blasted Gojira square in the chest, sending him skidding backward and causing him to fall over. Gojira felt the pain on his chest but ignored it and rolled over onto his front to try and get up. He looked up and saw Ghidorah standing above him, grinning with mad glee. Gojira used this and lunged forward to bite down on their leg and yanked himself backward. They fell onto their back and Gojira took advantage of their downed position. He got up as quick as he could and turned around to slam his tail onto Ghidorah's chest. He kept it up until they bit down on his tail, which he violently pulled to his left which turned them slightly. From there, he stomped his foot onto their chest and charged up his breath. Left and Right lunged for him with right biting down on his shoulder and he grabbed a hold of left and held him. Middle charged up his breath but Gojira stomped again, this time moving his foot so that he stomped on the base of Middle's neck. That stopped him long enough for Gojira to blast Middle and push him further into the ice. Middle roared in pain and Gojira kept on the attack until Right bit down on his gills. The immediate pain was enough for Gojira to lose concentration and stop his breath. Right sent a blast into Gojira's gills, which sent him backing away in pain. He used Gojira's moment of distraction and wrapped him in his tails to yank Gojira to the ground. Ghidorah used this time to get on their feet and off their back. Gojira himself held his neck in pain before pushing it away and getting up himself. Ghidorah swiped at Gojira's face with his tails, the barbs in the ends coming out and slashing across his face. Gojira went down again as Ghidorah fully got off the ground and turned to stare at Gojira. Gojira rose as well and the stare down began again. It didn't last as long this time as they ran at each other but Ghidorah leaped off the ground, propelling himself up by opening up his wings. With their higher vantage point, Ghidorah used his body to slam into Gojira and the outer heads bit down on him. Gojira slammed his tail into the ground and used it as a pushing point to push himself forward. Ghidorah slammed their feet into the ground but Gojira's raw strength was more than enough to push them back. Gojira kept pushing but once he stopped using the support of his tail, they came to a standstill. Until the ice under Ghidorah's right foot cracked and destabilized their balance, allowing Gojira to gain the upper hand and continue to push them back. Gojira slammed them into a mountain and then repeatedly slammed them into it. Ghidorah roared and slammed their middle head into Gojira's while the other two wrapped around his arms and used the mountain as a pushing point to move Gojira back. Gojira himself held his ground but quickly noticed that they were pushing his top half instead of his whole body. He didn't want to back off but he'd fall over and give them an advantage if they didn't. Though he would try and throw them off balance during the process, so he walked back but grabbed a hold of Ghidorah and spun around. He pulled them and then tried to throw them in the process which worked, kinda. They let go and were momentarily off balance before using their wings to get themselves aligned. The two enemies growled at each other and just as Gojira was about to roar out, the sky started to brighten. He paused for a second and was confused. This wasn't right. He knew exactly who was coming from the clouds but the timing was off, she didn't appear until towards the end of the fight and helped seal Ghidorah in the ice. She was early, which told him he was not in his memory anymore. He looked over to Ghidorah to confirm as they just stood there, completely frozen. Gojira relaxed and looked to the sky to see a form coming from the clouds. She burst through the clouds, her wings alight with a blue glow that was similar to his own. He forgot how it brought out the colors in her giant wings. The orange, yellow, and blacks in her wings shined with the steady blue glow coming from them. She glided down from the sky and landed on the mountain that was now behind Gojira and also considerably smaller than it was before, allowing her to be eye level with him. She grabbed on the top of the mountain with her sharp forelimbs and used her clawed feet to hold herself up. Her white fur would've made it hard to see her in the tundra were it not for the small patches of brown scattered throughout her body. He looked her over one more time before looking her in the eyes but stopped as he stared at her wingtips. He stared at them in a bit of shock as they still had the same pattern. The tips still had his eyes, the circles on the tips of the front two wings still had his yellow eyes. He didn't think she would keep them, though he could come up with a couple of reasons why she would. He shook those ideas aside and turned to stare her in her eyes, she was here for a reason, a reason big enough to seek him out. She just stared at him though, her blues eyes looking him over and just staring. He assumed it was because of how long it had been since they had last seen each other. She seemed to break out of her thoughts and looked him in the eye before dipping her body in a bow while speaking. "My king." He knew that tone, it was the tone he used when he was addressing other Titans, a formal one that meant this talk was business. He understood this but he would get them to talk about it, even if it was only mentioning what had happened between them. "Mosura." He acknowledged. She raised herself to look at him, "Something is coming." "Oh?" Gojira asked with a brow raised, "A vision?" "Yes, but it's obscure. I can hardly see anything but all I know for certain is that it involves them." She said while pointing one of her forelimbs behind him. Gojira turned his head and growled at the frozen Ghidorah, he did not like this. Not one bit, anything involving that hydra meant nothing but trouble. And he hoped with all his being that his worst fear wouldn't come to life. He turned back to Mosura, which prompted her to continue. "I do not know, all I know is that they are at the center of the vision." She said before going quiet. "Is that all?" Gojira asked. "Yes my king, I apologize for not having more information," Mosura said while bowing down. Gojira was silent for a moment before gently saying, "You haven't handled it well, have you?" Her head immediately shot up to stare at him and he saw a series of emotions behind her eyes. Everything ranging from sorrow to rage, it was all there and all she had to do was open her mouth and let it out. But all she did was stare. She just stared at him for a couple more moments before looking up to her wings. He looked as well and he didn't know what she was going to do. She stared at them before they started to change and in the blink of an eye, the pattern of his eyes was gone, replaced by black circles. She looks back at Gojira before flapping her wings and lifting herself off of the mountain. She turned around and flew into the clouds, leaving him in his memory just staring at where she had left. He sighed and looked down, he knew he would still care for her, how could he not when she was with him for so long. But to see her get rid of his eye pattern, that hurt him more than he expected but it was a natural response. He shook his head and cleared his mind before turning and looking back at the frozen dragon that stood a bit away from him. He huffed, he didn't want to finish this. He knew how it ended and honestly, he just didn't want to see Mosura again after the interaction they just had. He turned around and just started walking away as the world around him changed into a pure white space before completely encompassing everything. Gojira came back from his memory and was still starring out into the ice and snow. Though he did see that it was in heavier supply so he assumed that they were getting closer to the Empire. He sparred a glance back into the car and saw that everyone was still doing what they had been though he did see that Luna had finished her book. He didn't want to just keep staring out the window the rest of the trip so he decided that a conversation was in order. "How was it?" Luna looked up at him and then back down to her closed book, she looked up again and smiled, "'Twas good indeed, though a bit on the shorter side." "Anything particularly interesting?" "Nay, nothing of note to make it stick out, I merely picked it out for the trip." Gojira hummed in response and silence fell upon the two. Gojira wanted to keep the conversation going but was confused about what to talk about. It wasn't that Luna was hard to talk with, quite the opposite actually, he had conversations with Luna regularly after they finally settled their differences. The problem was that he had to consider the company he was in. He knew Celestia didn't mind whatever Luna and he talked about but there were still some things that he would prefer not to explain to Twilight just yet. Luckily, he didn't need to come up with a topic as Luna already had one in mind. "You've killed before." Gojira looked towards Luna with curiosity, she said it with no malice. He had explained to her how he had killed to survive and to assert dominance, explaining it by saying that's how things were done where he was from. He was interested to see where she would take this. "Yes, same is said for both you and your sister." "True, but the way thine speaks of it is different from our experiences," Luna replied. Gojira raised an eyebrow and asked, "How so?" "You killed for survival and the hunt, whilst my sister and I have not." "The hunt?" Gojira asked. "Indeed, whenever thou speaks of thine home thou speaks of hunts for sustenance." Gojira nodded in confirmation, "Yes, my home was savage and archaic(he looked towards Celestia to see her nod and continued), it was hunt or be hunted." "Would we make it?" Luna asked. "Everyone in the car?" Gojira asked and when Luna nodded in confirmation, Gojira answered immediately after, "No." He saw Celestia shift slightly through the corner of his eye and knew that she was now actively paying attention. He glanced around and saw that Twilight and the elements were also paying attention to him. Well, he was blunt at times and he guessed this was one of those times. "None of you would make it. The elements would die within the first day while you and Celestia would only last no more than 3 days." Luna stared at him for a second but nodded afterward, "Hmm, it would seem then that thine old home is truly a monstrous world." That got Gojira to chuckle, "Oh, you have no idea." After that, the train's horn blared and it slowed to a stop. It appeared that they had arrived in the Empire and it was only confirmed when Gojira looked out the window. It was an immense city, all made out of crystal and shinning with crystal ponies walking around. It was stunning and Gojira had to admit that it was something that he would not forget anytime soon. He got up with the others after starring for a while and walked towards the exit. As they got out, Cadence and Shining Armor were there to greet them. Everyone exchanged pleasantries and the rulers of the Crystal Empire lead everyone to the castle. As they were walking, Gojira looked around to take in the scenery. This place was interesting, that was for sure and as they got near the palace he saw the Crystal Heart. The artifact that kept the natural weather of the area out of the city and kept the Empire safe. But as they were walking, Gojira paused and looked out into the vast tundra past the parameters of the city. He felt something, something wrong and it was coming from far out into the snow. He couldn't quite place what it was but he made a mental note to check it out before he left. And with that, he started walking to catch up with the others. He could deal with whatever that was later, right now he had to get situated and ready for the guests the Empire would soon be hosting. Gojira frowned at the reason that he was here once he remembered, 'Oh the joy that's going to come' he thought sarcastically as he made his way into the castle.
