//------------------------------// // Equus: Touring Ponyville // Story: Spyro: The Dragon Trio of Avalar // by Blackdrag-rose //------------------------------// The walk back to Ponyville gave the group some time to think about what they had just seen, as the images gave them an idea as to what happened to certain members of this world, who only Spike and Ember would be able to identify since it was likely that Discord wouldn't tell them much, but at the same time some of the images really didn't help them figure out the locations of the areas that the other displaced had been sent to, which meant they would have to stick to what Discord had done to find them and refine his methods so they worked better for them, if he had any methods anyway, since they had no idea what he had done to locate the planet Spyro and the others were from. Spyro, Cynder, and their friends were still taking some time coming to terms with what they had discovered when they passed through the Professor's portal and appeared on the world that Spike and Ember had come from, mostly since it was still a shock that both of them came from a world of ponies and had been displaced in some manner, as that was the one thing that they still really didn't understand all that well, though even as they thought about that, and walked through the forest which seemed to be silent, Spyro knew both of his siblings and suspected that both of them would talk when they were ready, which would likely be when they reached the castle and locked themselves inside it. Spike, for the most part, was focused on a single image they had seen over the course of a few minutes, the one that revealed where Twilight had been sent to be exact, because it was hard to imagine that she would have ignored him and Ember's return to their world, so having her being one of the displaced made sense when he thought about it, even though it did look like the place she had been sent to might be a dangerous one, even though it only took him a few moments to push that statement aside, as all of the worlds the displaced had been sent to were dangerous in their own ways, so he guessed he should be happy that Twilight was safe, as it did look like she was in capable hands, if the warrior and the other displaced were anything to go by. Ember, on the other hand, was more focused on what would happen to this world now that they had returned, as she knew that the ponies wouldn't be able to do that much if the demons invaded, say, in the next day or two, or a week for that matter, so what they needed to do was find a way to train the guards so they could actually do their job and that meant bringing a few of the Peace Keepers with her to train them, even though there was another place she needed to go and check out in the near future, one Spike had likely thought about as well. In the end they were able to get back to where Twilight's castle was located, which many of the group assumed would be Spike's for the foreseeable future since he had been seen with the mare in question for a long period of time, without any of the other ponies noticing them at all, which was still rather weird when they thought about it since everyone felt that someone would have stopped what they were doing and spotted them out of the corner of their eyes, but for the most part they were thankful for that and headed inside the castle, where Spike made his way to what appeared to be a large chamber that served as a dining room, or a banquet hall of sorts, even though it was nothing like what they had seen back in Spyro's world and the various lands they had visited. "You know, something occurred to me while we were walking back to this castle," Hunter said, even though that was when everyone seemed to scatter and take up different seats around the room that Spike had brought them to, but he was sure he had some sort of idea that might help them out and he wanted to tell everyone before he forgot what it was, hence the reason why he was speaking now and not while they were walking through the eerie forest, a place that neither Spike or Ember seemed worried about, "can't we, I don't know, retrace the magic of the Tree of Harmony, or Equus or whatever it was that 'talked' to us, to the worlds that the displaced were sent to and recall them with your magic?" "Unfortunately, that would do more harm than good," Malefor stated, but he didn't fault Hunter for asking such a thing as the rest of the group thought about what had been said and what he was going to share with them, even though he did suspect that Spike already had the same answer that he was about to say and that he was keeping his mouth shut to see just how much he revealed in response to Hunter's question, even though he knew that there was a chance that Spike was focused on Twilight still and hadn't even considered the suggestion that Hunter had given, "based on the magic that was in that cave, when we were being shown the other worlds that the displaced had been sent to, I could tell that each of the displaced have been, well, linked to the timelines of their new homes, effectively changing what might have happened to those planets had the displaced not been sent there, meaning, if my theory is right, trying to remove them from their new homes might break the new version of history that they're weaving right now. Given that some of them look like siblings to the heroes of the worlds they've been sent to, sort of like how Spike and Ember became Spyro's siblings, taking them away from their new families and new lives might end up breaking the heroes in question and actually give way for the forces of darkness to take over, which could have disastrous consequences for the planets they were sent to." "What he means is that they're locked to the worlds they were sent to," Discord commented, something that surprised the group for a moment since he had been quiet since everything that happened inside the cave the Tree was located in, as he now knew that there was more at stake than what he originally believed and some of them wondered if the spirit might have been played by whatever it was he had been talking to before the images started to show them what was going on in their universe, before he sighed for a moment, as he knew that this was going to be an ordeal, "which means we can't just lock onto the planets they've been sent to and just use our magic to teleport them back to Equus, as we'd end up breaking something or ruining whatever adventure the displaced might be on, just like Malefor just explained." "Its odd for you to agree with someone's logic, Discord, yet it also explains something," Spike added, as while both he and Ember were surprised by the fact that the Spirit of Disharmony actually agreed with what someone had said, and the logic that went into the statement he was agreeing with, he did figure out a piece of the puzzle and felt like sharing it with the rest of the group, especially since it involved both him and Ember, given the fact that they were part of the displaced as well, sent out to gather allies for the coming invasion, "this might be a shot in the dark, but I think that part of the magic that went into displacing those that we saw in the images, not counting the final two images of course, might have made it so that the displaced can't be taken from the planets they were sent to unless certain conditions are met, maybe like how Discord was unable to lock onto Ember and I until we matured and regained the memories of our old lives... what I'm trying to say is that either the displaced need to reach a certain point before Discord can discover them, or maybe he just needs to pour more of his effort into finding the planets they were sent to." "I might have to do that, given that the displaced have been sent to other worlds and have been sent to the past, based on what happened to you two," Discord said, something that caused Spike to raise his eyebrow for a moment, as he had been expecting the Spirit to be annoyed by him basically proclaiming to everyone that he had been lazy in finding the planet he and Ember had been sent to, but since that didn't happen he guessed Discord was mostly focused on making sure that all of the displaced were brought back home so he could stop being bothered by the spirit of their planet, which he guessed was far older and much more powerful than Discord was. "So, do we know who else has been displaced?" Bianca asked, because while she had no idea who was who in the images, due to this being the first time she and the others had been to this planet and was the first time they were seeing the various creatures that called Equus home, she and the others knew that Spike, Ember, and Discord likely had the answer as to who else they would be looking for, due to the fact that she was positive that some of them would no doubt help the chimera creature out in his quest to find the others, even if they would most likely be helping Spike and Ember in whatever they did from this point forward, "Besides Twilight Sparkle, of course." "Well, it seems that Rainbow Dash, who had cyan colored skin, was displaced along with Spitfire, who seem to have taken on some demonic features and are killing demons," Spike commented, as he had been thinking about what they had seen back in the cave and suspected that he knew the majority of the displaced, save for a few to be exact, though even as he said that, however, he pulled out some writing materials so he could write down everything that they had been shown and not lose track of who they knew to be displaced, before he thought about something, "Princess Luna seems to have been sent to a world that's either under assault from the demonic army we saw or, and this is the most likely option, she just so happened to land in a world that has a different army of demons and found some allies to assist her in taking them down, while her sister, Princess Celestia, appears to have landed in an entirely different world and is attending school, if what we saw was any indication, though it really doesn't tell us much in the grand scheme of things. I think one of the others might be Tirek, the one that was facing the creature that was fighting on four legs anyway, though I could be wrong, since it was hard to tell due to the fact that he was aged into a more frail form than what I remember, and unless I'm mistaken I think the one with the three young kids might be Tempest Shadow, who assaulted Canterlot with the Storm King and was either beaten or betrayed before her leader was beaten, or at least that's what I recall. Twilight and Starlight Glimmer were the ones with the young male who had that odd otter-weasel creature, though I have no idea who the third girl was, so that's something we'll need to figure out at some point, and it looks like Pinkie is in the afterlife or something, given the fact that her friend was carrying a large blade that no one could normally wield on their own, not to mention the massive city she seemed to be staring at." "From what I can tell Grogar is also missing, and that's the one who has the ram horns," Discord stated, informing the rest of the group as to what he knew about those who hadn't been talked about yet, or at least the ones that he was interested in, because what he did was while they were talking he weaved his magic through the air and summoned images of the worlds that they had seen, where he shifted them so that whoever Spike talked about was shown for a few moments, even if they were still images and not moving like what the Tree had shown them, before another one took center stage as he resumed talking, "not only that, but so are the Dazzlings, who are the three girls who were hanging out in the futuristic city with the bipedal cat creature and his odd backpack, Sombra seems to be trapped in some sort of space ship with a bunch of undead, which will just make it hard to find out where in the universe he was sent, and it seems that Chrysalis was sent to a world with both Princess Cadence's daughter, Flurry Heart, and what seems to be a kirin... oh, and Spike, you're right about Tirek, who was facing that large metallic creature." "Which just leaves the world that no one was sent to, the girl in the middle of a battlefield, and those two black creatures with the more cat-like creature," Elora said, though she found that Ember wasn't saying anything, meaning that she must not have Spike's knowledge on the ponies and creatures they had seen in the images and that she didn't want to bother interrupting everyone that was talking at the moment, though at the very least they had a good idea as to who had been displaced, which was only possible thanks to what Spike knew. "I think one of them is Sunset Shimmer, but one planet seems to be unimportant and the two creatures, I think, might be Changelings, shapeshifters to be exact," Spike finished, bringing an end to the discussion as a whole, because it seemed like there weren't any other individuals for them to worry about, though in that moment he sighed as he thought about all of the images and the planets they had seen, especially since it seemed like it was going to be a long time before everyone was brought back home, to which he turned back towards the rest of the group, "Okay, let's take our minds off of this for a time and just, I don't know, explore Ponyville, since I'm sure you guys are interested in seeing more of the town and those that call it home, especially since we can check with the rest of our friends and see how everyone is doing, since I'm sure some of them might be worried and having someone to talk to might help them out." "Makes sense to me, especially since I'm eager to see more of the town," Spyro replied, showing everyone that he was fine with what Spike had said and that he was going to be trusting him and Ember to show them around this place, though as soon as he made that statement everyone got up from where they were sitting and headed for the entrance of this room, because all of them were interested in seeing what else the town had to offer them, before they figured out what else his brother and sister needed to do before they did anything else, or at least that was what he was thinking right now, given his limited knowledge of this world and the rules. Spike and Ember stood at the head of the pack as they headed over to the entrance of the castle, since they knew Spyro trusted them and that he also trusted everything that both of them knew about this town, even though Spike resolved to make some modifications to one of the castle's rooms and see if he could make something to help them locate the worlds the rest of the displaced had been sent to, though what happened a few moments later, as he opened the castle's front door so they could head outside, the group nearly ran into a pony that had been coming to the castle, a pony that had a light gray coat while her mane and tail had a moderate indigo coloration, and she had a moderate azure color to her eyes, which widened in surprise when she realized that someone was inside the castle. "Oh, pardon me, I had no idea that anyone was even inside the castle, since Twilight's been gone for a while, and Discord probably forgot to tell us someone was... coming..." the mare said, almost like she missed the fact that part of the group was made up of adult dragons, they had a pair of cheetahs, a rabbit, a mole, and someone who was half dragon half faun, and had Discord standing nearby, though that was when she stopped for a moment as she noticed that Discord was with them and focused on those that were right in front of her, or rather she focused on Spike for a few seconds as she took in his new form, "Spike? Is that you?" "Yeah, its me, Rarity." Spike replied, as while he had been expecting that he and the others would have run into the rest of his friends from this world, as in Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy, at the very least, though running into one of his friends before they even left the castle was something he wasn't expecting, but it was a good start to what was coming next, since he suspected that Applejack would be happy to see them again, even though Fluttershy would be a different tale since she, as memory served, might still be scared of dragons, or at least the ones like Garble, before he waved a hand towards the rest of the group for a moment, "I'm sure you remember Ember, but allow me to introduce the rest of our group, starting with our brother Spyro, Cynder, who if Spyro's girlfriend, Hunter and his sister Amelia, Bianca, who is Hunter's girlfriend, Elora, who is my girlfriend, Flame and Aurora, along with the Professor and Malefor, who is Cynder's father... oh, and don't mind our weapons, we're not planning anything nefarious or anything, as most of them are symbols of our professions, like my staff is because I'm an Archmage and Ember is a grand warrior, and so on." "You guys have been missing for a week... how did all of this happen in a week?!" Rarity asked, appearing to focus on that aspect of what she knew about the situation, something that was rather odd when Spike thought about it and he was sure Ember and the rest of the group was doing the same thing that he had done, as they had picked up on his thoughts and what he did when he talked or listened to someone, which just so happened to be something that the others had learned over the years, but it was clear that she was now taking in everyone that was standing around him and Ember, even if she might be interrupted when they answered the question. "Because, based on what we can tell, they were sent fifteen years into the past," Malefor answered, as that was the truth of the matter that they had discovered since coming to Equus, that both Spike and Ember had been missing from their world for a week, but, at the same time, they had been magically sent backwards in time and even regressed to hatchlings, which was rather odd when he considered everything, though all of that had been good for their world, as he suspected that with them aiding Spyro they had done more for their world than what Spyro could have done on his own, or not since Spyro was one of the purple dragons and they were incredibly powerful in their own right, "that is how they could have a brand new family and a bunch of friends, not to mention save the various homeworlds and realms of our world, which usually meant bringing down villains threatening to take over everything." "I... I see." Rarity said, though it was clear that she really had no idea what to make of everything she had discovered, due to the surprised look on her face, though it was hard for them to tell if she was surprised by them being heroes, the fact that both of them had their own friends and family now, their new bodies, or whatever else she might be thinking about at the moment, before she sighed for a few seconds as she refocused on what was in front of her right now, "I'm not sure what to make of all of this, to be perfectly honest, but from what I can tell, from looking at all of you, all I can say is that the last fifteen years have been quite kind to the both of you." "In more ways than one, from what I've heard from the pair," Elora commented, though she was mostly talking about the fact that she and Spike were one of the romantic pairs of the group that went around saving the lands from the villains of their world, but even as she said that she realized that none of them would be doing that in this world, as it sure seemed like all of the villains of Spike and Ember's world had been displaced to other worlds and would be stuck in their own little adventures, hopefully returning with an army to help them against the incoming army of demons that would be seeking to burn this world to the ground. "Right... girlfriend... of course." Rarity replied, showing that she actually caught what had been said earlier and she might have been thinking about it since Spike had introduced everyone to her, though that was followed by her looking at Elora for a moment as she took in her half dragon body for a moment, though Spike suspected that it was due to the fact that this was the first time that she had seen someone like Elora, despite the fact that he knew she would have been even more confused by everyone who lived in the various realms of their world, "So, um, did Discord do that to you before you guys came home, or is there something I'm missing?" "Please, as if I would do such a thing... though if Elora wants, I can finish the job," Discord stated, where he raised his right hand for a moment and pretended to snap his fingers, even though they didn't actually connect at all and that meant no magic was being cast at the moment, where Spike realized that he had to be the one moving the sun and moon since both Celestia and Luna were missing, which either had to tick him off or he was cool with it since he was making sure both of the heavenly objects moved like they were supposed to, before the Spirit focused on Rarity, "From what I know someone she and the rest of the heroes fought did that to her, but its a story that you'll have to ask Spike and Ember for, because I have no idea what might have happened back in the world they had been sent to... though speaking of which, where did Applejack go? I thought she was coming over today as well, just to make sure everything was fine with the castle as well, and to help you with whatever it was that you wanted to do." "Family business, I'm afraid, and Fluttershy's busy with her animals, last I heard anyway," Rarity answered, though at the same time she thought about something as she turned and focused on the rest of the group for a few seconds, which told the group that there was something else they needed to know before they continued to explore the rest of the town, took in all of the sights, and showed off Ponyville to Spyro and the rest of the group, before returning to Twilight's castle so they could plan out their next move, "oh, and last I heard, Princess Cadance and Shining Armor were planning on coming over today to get an update from Discord, face to face to be exact, since one of the missing is their own daughter... so, expect them to show up at the train station soon, even though I'll be there to escort them to the castle. Also, I'd love to take some of your measurements at some point in the future, as I simply must make something to go with the new bodies that you and Ember were given, so feel free to stop by Carousel Boutique when you get the chance." The group said nothing to that as they wished Rarity well and she headed out to do whatever it was that had lead her to leave her workplace, even though Spike informed the others that Carousel Boutique served both as her place of work and as her home, and, when he thought about it for a few more seconds, the same could be said for pretty much every store in Ponyville, as the first floors of the shops were the actually store and sold whatever it was that the shop was selling, like how Rarity made dresses and suits for her clients, especially since Spike recalled that there were some clients that were from the other towns and cities on this world, or at least in Equestria anyway, while the second floor of a shop building held the living area for the ponies that owned the place. As they walked Spike thought about it and added that some of the places also had a basement, which was mostly used for storage if his memory was right, but even as he gave the others that piece of information he also made sure to tell them that he had no idea if his information was right or wrong, as he hadn't gone into the shops and seen what was in their basements, before he and Ember were displaced, and it was highly unlikely that Mayor Mare or the Town Hall would have that information, so all he could do was make a guess on what he was talking about, even if it did annoy him a tad bit, which was something that only Spyro and the others noticed thanks to all the time they spent with him. Ember remained quiet as they walked through the town and Spike pointed out the shops and landmarks that he knew from memory, something he was planning on correcting once he got back to the castle and accessed the vast library Twilight had collected over the years, though this was both to give the others an idea as to what was around them and to test his memory of what was in this town, at the very least, and another thing he pointed out was a few bridges that connected the various parts of Ponyville, each with a small river flowing through the area they had been placed in, before he focused on some of the more important structures that were in the town. There was the Schoolhouse, which was positioned near one of the edges of the town and happened to have a wide area for the foals to run around and play in when they had recess, where it appeared that they might be in the middle of a lesson at the moment, not to mention the fact that there was a large rectangular shaped building that had three floors to it, a hospital that ponies were brought to whenever someone was injured or broke one of their bones, as he recalled Rainbow had gone there after she broke one of her wings, which lead to her gaining a desire to read the Daring Do books. In addition to all of that there was also a retirement center near one of the other edges of the town, away from the rest of the town based on what Spyro and the others discovered, a large clock tower that seemed to be keeping an accurate track of what time it was, even if the group hadn't seen what Spike and Ember's world was actually like, a theater that would be interesting to visit at some point in the future, just to see how they differed from the Gnorc Actors in Dragon Shores, and there was a marketplace where many ponies came and sold stuff to those who walked through the area, where both Spike and Ember knew they would have seen Applejack had Rarity not said she was busy with family. After that Spike pointed out a few of Ponyville's more important landmarks, such as Sweet Apple Acres, which had some of the best apples in all of Equestria and happened to be the home of the Apple Family, of which Applejack was part of, there was the Everfree Forest that they had passed through earlier, which was usually more dangerous than what they had seen and it might have been due to the size of their group that they weren't attacked, and he also pointed out Sugercube Corner, which was where Pinkie worked whenever she wasn't busy helping her friends save the day in some manner, which Spike said they got used to pretty fast given that Ponyville was a hotspot for danger. In addition to all of that there was the train station, a day spa, a scorched spot where something used to stand, which was a place that Spike stared at for a few seconds before sighing as he turned away from it, a costume shop, a book store, a bowling alley, a joke shop, a cafe that was sort of popular to all of the ponies that called the town home, a shop that only sold quills and sofas, a place that Spike had been sent to many times before he and Ember were displaced, a hardware store, a place that only sold fans, a jewelry shop, something that caught Cynder's attention since she wanted to see how the jewelry of this world was made and compare it to what she made in the past, and a bunch of other shops that the ponies of Ponyville frequented. The group could see why Spike just stopped pointing things out to them, as there were all sorts of remaining shops, like a shop that had a few devices that he said were arcade machines, basically game machines that foals loved to try their hooves at, a number of restaurants, a toy shop, a cafe, a party store, and a whole list of other things, making some of them wonder if this was actually a small city and not a town like Spike thought it was, but they were willing to listen to what Spike said and continued to call Ponyville a town, even though that didn't stop Amelia from asking what the scorched area was about. Spike, despite the fact that he really didn't want to talk about it, revealed that the scorched area in question used to be the area that the Golden Oak Library rested in, before it was attacked and destroyed by Tirek when he assaulted Equestria to absorb all of the magic that the pony clans contained, though it was then that Spyro and the others found out that the old library had been Spike and Twilight's home when they moved from Canterlot to Ponyville, meaning his home had been wiped out and everything that had been inside it had been blow apart, before the pair had moved into the castle and took to calling it home, where this lead to Spike sighing as he recalled what he knew about that event and Elora wrapped one of her arms around him, just to comfort him, before they heard a train whistle go off. "Interesting, I thought the train would be arriving later this afternoon," Discord said, where he pulled a pocket watch out of thin air for a moment and looked at it, something that caused Spike to wonder if it was tied to the sun and moon, so the Spirit had an idea of when to make day turn to night and make it seem like Celestia and Luna were still present, instead of being sent to the worlds they had been sent to, before he shrugged and put the object away for a moment, which was the instant that he turned to look at the group once more, "that means Princess Cadance and Shining Armor will be getting off the train in the next few minutes, not to mention Rarity will escort them to the castle, so I guess we'll have to cut this tour short for the time being." The group determined that it was a good idea and started to make their way back towards the castle, though that was also around the time that some of the other ponies in the area noticed them and waved towards Spike, showing the rest of the group that he must have been well known among the residents of Ponyville, but they were also surprised to find that all of the ponies were just surprised to find some random strangers in their town and were following him and Ember around as both of them showed the group around, though none of them seemed worried about anything and went about their own business, leaving Flame to ask what in the world was going on, as he suspected that the ponies would have been a little cautious or interested in the sudden arrival of so many individuals. It was in that moment that Ember informed them that Ponyville was a special place, in the sense that they had a habit of welcoming newcomers to their town and even extended the hoof of friendship to every race that existed in their world, meaning they were used to other races being in their town and, based on what she remembered, dragons were sort of good terms with the town, even though that reminded her of something they needed to do, as in they had to head to the Dragon Lands and figure out what had happened to those that called that land home. The group made a mental note of what Ember said as they made their way over to the train station, where they found a number of ponies that were getting off the train that had come to a stop at the station, though it was easy for everyone to locate the pair Discord had mentioned, as there was a pony that had a horn and a pair of wings, who had a small crown, a small golden collar, and four shoes that fit over her hooves, that got off the train, where they found that she had a pale light grayish cerise color to her coat, a vivid pink color basically, whose mane and tail were a moderate violet and rose coloration with pale gold streaks, where they could tell that she had to be Princess Cadance. Standing to her right was a light gray coated stallion, which was easy to tell that he was male due to the fact that his body was a bit bulkier than what Cadance's was, though his mane and tail were a mix of moderate sapphire blue and cerulean colors, all while having dark blue streaks at the same time, though he wasn't wearing any jewelry that indicated that he was a prince or something, since they figured that being married to Cadance meant he was a prince of the area they lived in, but that was the moment that the pair noticed something, or someone, among the crowd and moved from away from the train so the other passengers could get off as well. "You know, if you were going to show up and escort them to the castle, you should have told me earlier," Rarity stated, as she was off to the side and walked over to where the group was now standing, though her words were directed towards Discord and it was clear she was only a little annoyed, meaning she might have been in the middle of working on some of her dresses or something, but she put a smile on her face as Cadance and Shining Armor walked over to where they were standing at the moment, to which she bowed her head towards the royal pair, "Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, its nice to see the both of you again." "Its nice to see you as well... Rarity..." Cadance started to say, though that was when she noticed the rest of the group that was standing nearby, mostly because she was focusing on Spike and Ember, due to the fact that both of them were totally different from what she remembered, given that it had been some time since she had last seen them and she knew that they had been missing for some time, while at the same time Shining was surprised by what he and Cadance were seeing, more in the sense that the pair had returned with a bunch of newcomers that seemed out of place, yet were accepted by the residents of the town without a party being thrown, "Spike?! Ember?! What happened to you two? Spike, you weren't as tall as an adult dragon later time I saw you, and you certainly didn't look like this for that matter, and Ember, um, you were less warrior-like the last time we had a chance to see each other... and who are your new friends?" Spike and Ember beckoned for the group to follow them as they headed back towards the castle, though while they did so both of them explained everything to them, starting with introductions so Cadance and Shining knew who everyone else in the group was, but when they reached the castle, someplace that Spyro figured they might be spending the rest of the day in, everyone gathered inside the dining room once more and sat down around the tables, which was when Spike went into what had happened to them, basically giving Cadance and Shining the short version of what he and Ember had done with Spyro and the others, which also gave Rarity a chance to hear what had happened, since they didn't tell her much during the last instant they had been together. Of course it came as a surprise to Rarity, Cadance, and Shining when they heard that the majority of the group were heroes in the world that Spike and Ember had been sent to, with the Professor being one of the greatest minds of their world and Malefor being the first of the purple dragons, not to mention Cynder's father, though it was easy to see that the three of them were taken aback when they learned just what the group was capable of, or at least a small amount of what they were capable of since there wasn't enough time to reveal everything that they had done over the last fifteen years, and that fact, alone, really caused them to pause for a few moments. Spike knew that just hearing that two individuals they knew had been sent back in time by fifteen years, even though they had been gone for a week their time, was quite a shocker and it sure seemed to be effecting all three of them to some degree, but there was nothing that Rarity, Cadance, or Shining could do about the situation and just sat there with shock on their faces, though all of them did seem happy to hear that they were heroes, despite being confused and shocked by it at the start of the tale that they were told. Even as everyone had a chance to tell the trio what they had done before coming to Equus, as Elora, Hunter, Bianca, and everyone else had something they wanted to share, mostly what they had been doing when they first met the trio and what they did after meeting them, such as like how Elora and Hunter hadn't been great assistants back during Spyro, Spike, and Ember's second adventure, in the realms of Avalar, before after that adventure they joined their friends and went on to become great heroes in their own right, where the same applied to Bianca and the others, before the pair regained their memories a week ago and it wasn't long before Discord found them. "It sure seems like you guys had quite a wild ride..." Shining said, though he wasn't sure what else to say to that, as it would take some time for him to wrap his head around the fact that Spike and Ember had been displaced and, more importantly, that there were a number of displaced that were out there, missing and in need of being brought back home, especially due to the fact that their daughter happened to be one of them, hence the reason that he and Cadance were in Ponyville at the moment, to get a progress report from Discord. "Indeed, though that brings me to the reason why we came here in the first place, since getting Discord to send a letter or something seems to be impossible," Cadance added, showing that she agreed with what her husband had said, and it was good to hear that Spike and Ember were heroes and that they had a number of friends that would do the same thing that they would do, even though she suspected that none of them would need to fight anyone since she was sure that all of the ancient villains had been taken care of by Twilight and the rest of her friends, "Discord, do you have any idea where Flurry went, or who she might be with?" "Well, I have no idea where she went, and I was trying to figure that out before I found Spike and Ember," Discord said, as that was the truth of the matter, he had been trying to find the rest of the displaced and the first ones he found where both of the dragons that were resting nearby, but even as he said that, which neither Cadance or Shining were happy with, it was clear that he was worried about the piece of information he did have to share with them, especially since he knew who one of the two individuals who was near their daughter, "however, I have been able to identify one of the two other missing individuals that went to the same place that she was sent to... now don't be mad at me, but Chrysalis was sent to the same world that Flurry was sent to." "Her?! She's with my DAUGHTER?!" Cadance exclaimed, as she couldn't believe that out of everyone that could have been one of the displaced, where she felt that the displacement seemed random due to the fact that the other Princesses were missing, some of their heroes were missing, a few civilians were missing, and now some of their villains were missing, that whatever had taken her daughter and sent her to another world would have paired her up with Chrysalis, not to mention an unknown figure that Discord hadn't mentioned yet, meaning it was either someone they didn't know or it was only an individual that he knew and felt that other one wasn't dangerous towards her daughter, "You have to find where Flurry was sent, because after nearly ruining my wedding and trying to take over the world in revenge against everyone that beat her in the past, and whatever else she's done to the ponies of the world, I wouldn't trust her to not try anything funny, like hold her hostage against whoever else is in their group!" "Well, that's a problem, because we can't just remove her from whatever planet she had been sent to, because Discord has no idea where Flurry was sent... and it would break the timeline of the world in question," Spike said, though he knew that, for the most part, his statement was likely to do nothing to convince Cadance that Flurry was safe, but not a few seconds later, after thinking about it for a few seconds, he realized that there was something he could use to make it seem like her daughter was safe and that she wasn't in danger of Chrysalis doing anything to her, hence why he focused on her for a few seconds and braced himself for any potential backlash, "however, I will say this, it sure looked like Chrysalis and whoever else was with her and Flurry have been aged backwards, to the point of them being foals, and the only reason I'm even saying that is because Ember and I ended up as hatchlings when we arrived in Spyro's world, where we had no memories of our previous lives... bare with me, but I think Chrysalis, the mysterious individual, and Flurry might have lost all of their memories as well, so your daughter is in no danger at the moment." "I... wow, I didn't even consider that... Twilight would be so proud of you, Spike," Cadance replied, where it was easy to see that she was surprised by what Spike had said and it seemed to effect Shining as well, as he had been thinking of speaking up and saying something to stop Cadance from exploding, but that had stopped him from saying anything and he silently watched what was going on as his wife cooled off now that things had been explained to her, because with Chrysalis and the others having no memories he was just fine with what was going on right now, as Discord now had the time to search for the planet their daughter had been sent to, "I hope your logic is right, as I'd rather not have anything happen to my daughter with Chrysalis being near her... Discord, you can find the planet that Flurry was sent to, right?" "Yes... provided that she wasn't sent to the furthest reaches of our universe, as it will take me a while to find her if that has happened," Discord admitted, which made sense when the group thought about it, as while it might have taken them, or rather the Professor, five minutes to locate Equus and obtain the coordinates, based on all of Discord's energy signatures, there was no telling what sort of energy signatures were attached to the rest of the displaced, meaning it could take days, weeks, or even months to track down everyone and return them to this world, though before he could say anything the Professor raised his pencil for a moment. "Don't forget the multiverse theory, as some believe there are other universes, in addition to ours, so its possible that the three we're talking about were sent to another universe," the Professor said, something he knew would complicate things, not to mention the rest of the situation, more than what he and the others had discovered so far, but even as he thought about that he considered something when he recalled the power of all of their new Ion Crystals and what they had been able to do with them so far, before he faced Discord and caused the others to do the same, "however, if we combine your magic with our Ion Crystals, in some manner, we might be able to expand your range and, possibly, lead to you finding the planets of the displaced sooner... we might not be able to reclaim them when we locate the planets, but we can pinpoint the coordinates of the planets for later on." The group nodded their heads for a moment, to show that it sounded like a good idea, before they delved deeper into the tale of what Spike and Ember did during their time in Spyro's world, to amaze them with their feats and everything each of them had done, since it seemed like the tales amazed Cadance, Shining, and Rarity, something that would take a while and everyone was fine with that, as they wanted to relax after everything that had happened over the course of the day, which the trio would tell everyone in due time, even though all of them were eager to see what else the future held for them.
