"First off, I wanna say how wonderful  everything looks tonight. You all did a magnificent job pulling things  together after the, unfortunate, events of earlier. And now,  without further ado, I'd like to announce the winner of this year's Fall  Formal crown. The Princess of this year's Fall Formal is... Twilight  Sparkle!" said principle Celestia.

and the students cheered.

"Congratulations, Twilight." 

"Twilight! Help!" yelled Spike

"Spike?  They've got Spike!" Twilight said in alarm.

"That's close enough!" said Sunset Shimmer as Spike continued yelling for Twilight.

"Don't hurt him!" 

"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it. I'm not a  monster, Twilight." "Let him go Sloth and Clips."

"Those aren't our names," said Snips and Snails. 

"You  don't belong here. Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria  tonight. Or keep it and never go home." Sunset said.

Twilight gasped as Sunset moved to swing the hammer at the portal.

"Tick-tock, Twilight. We haven't got all  night. The portal will be closing on its own in less than an hour. So,  what's your answer?"

"No."

"Fine then, have it your way." and Sunset Shimmer smashed the portal to pieces.

Twilight gasped, and fell to the ground crying.
"W-what, w-w-why did you do that?"

"Well, you did say no."

"You, you are a monster!"

"What can i say, I'm just that good at what i do." Sunset laughed. "Anyway, I'll be taking my crown now."

"NO! you may have destroyed the portal, but you are NOT getting this crown!"

Twilight and her friends started throwing the crown back and forth between them.

"Seriously? you really think you can win by playing catch?" Sunset said as she jumped up and grabbed the crown.

Twilight and her friends gasped as Sunset put on the crown, transforming into a demon-like form while laughing maniacally. "Finally! I am UNSTOPPABLE!"

"This is gonna be so cool!" said Snips as the students of Canterlot high screamed in terror.

"I've had to jump through so many hoops  tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have  been mine all along. But let's let bygones be bygones. I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!"

Sunset Shimmer continued to hypnotize the students.

"Snips! Snails! Round them up and bring them to the statue, I'm going to conquer the world!!"

"No, you're not!" said Twilight

"Oh, please! What exactly do you think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!"

"She has us!"

Sunset Shimmer Burst into laughter. "Gee, the gang really is  all back together again, HAHAHAHA! Now step aside! Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! She needs  to be dealt with!" Sunset stopped in surprise when the giant red glowing ball of hellfire bounced off of Twilight as if it was a marble. "What!?" 

And then Twilight started giving a speech on magic, "The magic contained in my Element was  able to unite with those that helped create it! Honesty!  Kindness! Laughter! Generosity! Loyalty! Magic! Together with a crown,  they create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power  you don't have the ability to control! The crown may be upon your head,  Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the  most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!" 

And the six magical horse friends began glowing as if they were angels, and a giant rainbow laser of friendship shot up into the sky, headed for the flying demonic being that Sunset Shimmer had become... and was absorbed into the demonic being as the rainbow burned to ash and hellfire, setting the world on fire within a significant radius as the sky turned red and Sunset Shimmer, lord of destruction grew to the size of a large truck, cackling with evil glee as the world fell before her.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! FINALLY! I AM ALL-POWERFUL! ALL WILL KNEEL BEFORE MY POWER! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

It was then that the world realized that it had no chance against the newborn deity that stood before it.
