Chapter 2: The Vacation You'll Never Forget

Raymond and Rainbow's family went to the airport and got their stuff ready to leave for their vacation. Raymond was really freaking out about her life still changing. Especially the people around her. She saw that all of the humans had different colored skin, hair and eyes. No one was familiar to her. It's like she's in a whole new world.

"Alright, everyone," said Rainbow's mom. "The flight leaves in an hour. Everyone eat up quickly."

Unfortunately, even all of the stores and restaurants changed. The restaurants were now all vegan. Raymond hates eating vegetarian food. But her entire diet changed as well. She found that the hard way when she was eating the food. Just then, a woman called out on the PA System.

"Flight to Las Pegasus, now boarding."

"Las Pegasus?! Now it's the locations? Am I even on the same planet anymore?" Raymond thought to herself. "This is a huge nightmare. What is causing me and my reality to change? And why am I the only one to notice the changes?!"

Raymond's left arm was grabbed by Scootaloo, who was saying, "C'mon, Rainbow Dash! That's our flight!"

They were then put into their assigned seating. Raymond was looking out of the window right after the plane took off. She was getting worried. What was she going to do if there was no way to change back into her original body and be called Raymond Dallas again instead of Rainbow Dash. Just then, Raymond's left shoulder was tapped by Scootaloo.

"Hey, Rainbow, your mom wants to talk to you," Scootaloo told Raymond.

Raymond looked over towards Rainbow's mother. She got up from her seat and leaned her head closer to the woman.

"Listen, Rainbow Dash," said Rainbow's mother, "I got us some instructional yoga classes on DVD so we'll be able to do our yoga at the hotel. I saw that you didn't pack any yoga clothes in your suitcase, so I packed up some in your suitcase while you were in the shower."

"She packed yoga clothes into the suitcase I packed?!" Raymond thought. "I shouldn't have taken that bet at all. Why did I even take that bet?"

"I'm sure that we'll get some time to do things here with our family and some things to do," said Rainbow's mom. "Something for all four of us, some with just us girl. Maybe just mix and match."

"Attention, everyone. This is your captain speaking. We are just about to touch down in Las Pegasus. Please return to your seats and fasten your seat belts."

The captain's announcement made Raymond return to her seat. She then fastened her seat belt and looked back out the window. She then sighed and thought, "This is gonna be a long trip. Why did Alice even make me dress this way? If I ever get back to my reality, I'm gonna pay her back."

The four of them got to their hotel that was near the beach area of Applewood, and they got large hotel room with plenty of room for Raymond and Rainbow's mom to do some yoga. Raymond was getting more agitated. She was wanting to get back to her own reality.

Rainbow's father then said, "So, you girls all want to hit the beach?"

"Oh, Bow Hothoof," said Rainbow's mom. "You and Scootaloo go on ahead. Rainbow and I have to do our yoga."

"Okay. That's troubling," Raymond thought. "What's worse for me? Going to the beach in a bikini? Or doing some yoga with a woman I don't know who claims to be the mother of this girl I've become? This is totally nuts!"

"Alright, Windy Whistles," said Rainbow's dad, now known as Bow Hothoof. "You two girls get done quickly. We want you all to get plenty of sun." Then Bow Hothoof went into the bathroom after grabbing his swim shorts.

15 minutes later, Raymond and Windy Whistles were both in their yoga outfits, and Raymond's outfit had the cyan wings and rainbow pony tail on the back of the shirt and the pants.

"Oh, honey," said Windy Whistles, "let me get your hair in a ponytail." She then started pulling Raymond's hair into a ponytail. Raymond squinted a little because her hair was being pulled. "There. All finished. Now, let's get started on yoga."

Raymond sighed when Windy Whistles prepared to start the yoga session on her laptop. She got out two yoga mats and then the two of them got onto them.

They did at least 30 minutes of yoga. Raymond was tired after doing all of that. Windy then said, "That wasn't so bad. Now, how about we get into our swimsuits and head to the beach with your father and adopted sister, Scootaloo?"

Raymond nodded and said, "You know... I'm really tired. I don't know if it was the flight or the exercise, but I need some rest."

"Alright, Rainbow," said Windy. "You stay here and rest. I'm gonna get changed and then head out to meet with your father." Raymond nodded.

As soon as Windy changed into a swimsuit, she left. Raymond didn't change out of her yoga outfit. She wanted to get out of the outfit, but she was so tired. She then just laid on her bed and fell asleep without covering up.

But when she was sleeping, she went through another change. One that she will never forget. Raymond's lower part of her face started stretching out into a pony's muzzle. It was a little unsettling for her, but not enough to wake her up. Her teeth transformed as well into the teeth of an equine's. Then her ears started wiggling. They were then moving to the top of her head, and turning into the ears of a pony. Then the blue skin transformed into blue fur going across her body. Then her hands started changing. The middle and ring fingers started merging into each other, leaving her with just four fingers. The same happened with the middle and ring toes on her feet.

Raymond then started feeling uncomfortable on her backside, so she flipped over in her sleep, and her face looking towards her right. Just then, the wings on her outfit started twitching. Muscles and bones started growing from inside the wings on the outfit, making them real wings, and they were connecting into Raymond's backside, and no longer fake, nor connected to her outfit. Now all of her outfits had holes for the wings to go through with no problem. The tail then started gaining muscle and bone and connecting to Raymond's body, and there are now tail holes in all of her outfits for her tail to go through. She was no longer human, but an anthro pony.

Raymond started coming to an hour after she fell asleep that day. She then sat up, unbeknownst to the changes she went through. She had the urge to use the bathroom, and went there. She walked past the bathroom mirror, giving it a quick glance before heading towards the toilet. But 2 seconds after she walked past it, she was fully awake, turned around, and looked back at her reflection. The reaction made her scream.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!" she screamed. "Oh, my god! I turned part horse!" She then grabbed her ears. They twitched as she held them. The then touched her muzzle. Then she noticed that she had four fingers instead of five, and they were covered in blue fur. "This can't be happening! What else can go wrong?!" Then she felt a twitch on her back, she was about to reach her right hand to scratch it, but then the wings on her back spread out, making her wide eyed. "The wings are now real?! And connected to my back?! No, no no no no!" She then looked back at the tail near her rear. She could feel it moving as well. "This can't be happening to me! Why am I a human/pegasus hybrid?!" She felt her equine ears lower. "Why is this happening to me! I can't live my life as a human horse!" Just then, she heard her cell phone ringing. She walked over to her phone and saw that it was Windy Whistles trying to video chat. Raymond had no choice but to answer. "Um, hello?" She noticed that Windy Whistles was also the same kind of hybrid she was.

"Hey, Rainbow," said Windy Whistles. "I'm glad you're awake. Listen, I forgot to bring my sunblock. Can you bring it down to the beach? You might as well join us for the rest of the day."

"Umm... sure," Raymond said.

"Thanks, honey," said Windy Whistles. "Go on and get into your bikini and come on down. See you soon."

Windy Whistles then hung up, leaving Raymond wide eyed. She then grabbed the pillow on the bed she took, pulled the pillow against her muzzled face, and screamed into it. She had no choice but to take the outfit off. She then opened up her suitcase and saw that all of her outfits had wing holes and tail holes. She then sighed and pulled out the bikini she got for Rainbow's birthday, and went into the bathroom.

"My gender, my hair, my skin, my eyes and now my humanity?!" Raymond thought in her head. "My life is completely gone! I have nothing left but my memories!" She then looked at her new body. She then pulled off the outfit she was in, and the wings and tail went through the holes in her outfit. Her wings then folded themselves back into position. "That's something I have to get used to. The down side, I completely lost my body from head to toe. The up side, I can fly. But that won't matter until I find a way to get back to my normal body. I don't want to be this way." She was talking to herself while undressing herself out of the yoga outfit and into the bikini she got. She then saw herself in the mirror in her bikini and said to her reflection, "I really hate this." She then saw the mark on her thigh.

"You've got to be kidding me," said Raymond.

After leaving the hotel with a towel, sunglasses and the sunscreen that Windy wanted her to bring, Raymond eventually made it to the beach. She saw Rainbow's family, now all as human ponies, by the picnic table area and walked over to them. Windy Whistles was sitting in a beach chair, being covered by a portable gazebo, trying to keep herself out of the sun.

"I'm here," Raymond said.

Windy Whistles saw her come up and said, "Oh, Rainbow Dash, just in time. Let's get lathered up in sunscreen. You're going to need it, honey." She took the bottle of sunscreen out of Raymond's hand, and then started lathering herself up. "Rainbow, can you please get my back?"

"Oh, fine," said Raymond. She then went behind Windy, and rubbed some sunscreen on her back. Just when she started lathering Windy's back, Windy's wings spread out wide, freaking out Raymond. "Whoa!"

"Sorry about that," said Windy. "They always pop up when someone puts sunscreen on your back. Now, as soon as you're finished back there, I'll help you get sunscreen on your back and wings."

"I have to put this stuff on her wings, too?" Raymond thought. "Oh, boy, this is going to be a lot more complicated."

Raymond decided to spend the day resting in the sun. She wasn't in the mood to do anything. She was thinking of ways for her to get back to her normal body. She was in deep thought. She was thinking of how she transformed in the first place. When she changed gender and the wig became her actual hair, she was doing yoga. She was asleep when her skin and eyes turn different colors. And lately, she changed species when she was taking a nap after the yoga class. It was starting to come to her. When she was changing, she was occupied or asleep.

"Okay. It occurs to me that I was able to change when I was occupied with something or asleep. But how am I ever going to change back into my normal body and go by Raymond Dal..." Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard someone's voice.

"Well, look at what we got here? The one I love has come to find me."

Raymond looked towards the voice and saw a pegasus walking towards her with the cheesiest flirting face she has ever saw. His pale gold mane was done up in a bun, and his coat was a pale aquamarine.

"I knew eventually, the young mare of my dreams would come looking for me," said the young stallion. "Well, you found me. Let's go somewhere alone so we can make love."

Raymond then got angry, pushed the stallion away and said, "Gross! No way! Stay away from me!"

"C'mon, Rainbow Dash," said the stallion. "It's me. Zephyr Breeze, the love of your life."

"Hey! What are you doing with my daughter?!" came Bow Hothoof's voice. Rainbow Dash and Zephyr Breeze looked towards where the voice came from and saw Bow Hothoof, Windy Whistles and Scootaloo walking towards them.

"Relax, sir," said Zephyr Breeze. "Can't a couple of lovebirds see each other again?"

"Dude," Scootaloo said, "how many times does everypony have to tell you? Rainbow Dash is not interested in you. Never was. Never will be."

Raymond exhaled in relief and thought, "Thank you, Scootaloo. You saved my butt. Or flank. Or tail. Or... whatever."

"Rainbow Dash?" Zephyr Breeze asked, looking at Raymond. "Is this true? Are you not interested in me?"

"I... I'm not interested," Raymond said. "Listen, you really are a good guy, but you're just... not my type. I just need... time... to find the one I'm interested in." But in her mind, she was thinking, "Plus, I have to find a way to get back into my real body, my real reality, and have a talk with my girlfriend."

Zephyr Breeze then sighed and said, "Okay. I was really hoping that the two of us could really get together. You know? Well, I hope you and my big sis, Fluttershy, and the rest of your friends will find someone special." He then walked away, sadly.

Scootaloo walked up to Raymond and asked, "Rainbow? Are you okay?"

"I'll be fine," Raymond said, quickly. "I just... I just need some..."

"Hey, Rainbow," Windy said, cutting off Raymond. "It's okay. Why don't I get us all some milkshakes? I'm sure you'll be all right after a nice tasty beverage."

Raymond looked down for a bit, then looked back up at Windy and said, "Yeah, I guess I can go for something cool."

Windy Whistles smiled and walked away. Rainbow then started looking at the ocean with her sunglasses back on. Scootaloo then said, "You're lucky I saw that sad sap trying to flirt with you."

Raymond looked at Scootaloo, then smiled. She then pulled Scootaloo in and gave her a noogie, saying, "Yeah. Thanks a lot, squirt."

Scootaloo was laughing, trying to get Raymond to stop while saying, "Hey! Stop that!"

"You're a good kid," Raymond said. He then thought, "Right now, when I was human, I wish I had a little sister like Scootaloo to look after me. She really is a good kid."

Somewhere else in the world, a butter yellow pegasus girl with a long pink mane and tail was feeding some pet animals in their bins.

"Now, now," she said. "Wait your turn. You'll all get your food as soon as I'm done filling up this one. There you go." She just finished up with the last of feeding the animals before she went to the back of the animal shelter to check out.

In the back, an earth pony mare with a doctor's coat and scrubs was locking up on last injured animal. The mare had a light yellow coat and a mane and tail that was two gray shades of light blue. She saw the young mare and asked, "Checking out for the night, Fluttershy?"

"Um... yes, Dr. Fauna," said Fluttershy. "It's the only thing to keep me occupied until... Oh... never mind."

"Well, whatever's bugging you, I hope you get over it," said Dr. Fauna. Then the sound of a cell phone ringing came in. "Aren't you gonna get that?"

Fluttershy nodded, then pulled out her phone. She looked at who was calling her, rolled her eyes and answered it, "Listen, Zephyr. I really don't have time to talk right now."

"Sorry, Fluttershy," said Zephyr Breeze through the phone. "But I just learned that Rainbow Dash doesn't like me. Right from her own two lips."

Fluttershy went wide eyed and said, "W-what? What did you say?"

"Can you believe it?!" Zephyr said. "Rainbow Dash, the young mare I thought that was head over heels for me, doesn't like me. I think I need some time to think."

"Oh, it's okay, Zephyr," said Fluttershy. "I'm sure you'll find somepony that'll like you for who you are. Just don't think they're head over heels for you. I gotta make another call. I'll see you when you get back. Bye." She then hung up, looked back at Dr. Fauna and said, "I... I have to make another call and head home."

"Alright," said Dr. Fauna. "See you Tuesday afternoon."

Fluttershy nodded, grabbed her backpack, and left the place. She then started making a group call with five friends of hers. Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Applejack. They all answered their phones and Fluttershy said, "Girls. You're not going to believe this. My brother, who's currently in Applewood, just saw Rainbow Dash. I believe that she's finally come back home."

"Really? That's great, Fluttershy!" came one voice. "Do you know when she'll come back to Ponyville?"

"Oh. I didn't ask, Twilight," said Fluttershy. "I don't think even Zephyr knows when she'll return."

"Well, I hope that she comes back soon," said another voice.

"Sunset's right, Fluttershy," came another voice. That one sounding elegant. "I just hope that she's not too far gone."

"Yeah! Dashie is our friend!" came another voice, all peppy and fast talking. "We just want to know if she's okay and see if she remembers us."

"Ah agree," came another voice speaking in a southern accent. "Twi, think ya can inform the other princesses about this?"

"I'll send one immediately," said Twilight. "Rainbow Dash is going to need all of her friends to help her if she is in need of any help. Fluttershy, thanks for letting us know."

"You're welcome," said Fluttershy. "I'll see you all tomorrow. Goodbye." She then hung up and headed off somewhere. Probably to her home.
