After Escanor's "death" from after the fight with the demon king. He was engulfed by a fiery tornado because his body couldn't handle the massive amount of energy it used. Meanwhile in the land of Equestria, Right outside Princess Celestia's chambers, it was roughly 10:30P.M.
*RRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR*
A massive swirl of flames appeared from the ceiling. The two royal, a unicorn and a pegasus, guard that were guarding Celestia chambers were shocked by the fire the appear out of nowhere. It felt like every second the swirling flame was getting louder, and hotter. The guards were sweating, trying there best to lean on their spears because it was so hot. The wood of the spear started to combust into flames. Next they notice that their armor was starting to melt. They cast their armor off so the molten mettle would hurt them. Soon it turned into puddles of hot metal. And then... it stopped. Where the fire once was, lies a human, frail and weak, Orange hair and mustache, with a tattoo of the face of a lion of his back.
"Guards, What just happened" Celestia said, with a noticeable grogginess in her voice. While she stuck her head threw the door.
Both of them stayed silent for a moment until "How are we alive?" the pegasus asked not hearing Celestia from the ringing in his ears.
"Guards!" Celestia said with a raised voiced.
The two jumped from fright and turned around.
"Yes Ma'am" They said saluting. The two of them were not as intimidating without their armor.
"what just happened here?"
"We have no clue," The pegasus said.
The unicorn continued, "There was like this, this," He stammered, "Swirling flame the came down from the ceiling, every second it felt like it was getting hotter. Then, then" He could barely talk from the events that had just ensued. The pegasus picked back up.
"It got so hot that our armor started to melt." He said gesturing to the piles of melted metal. "Its a miracle that we are still alive. But I think that Thing" he said as he turned to point at the frail human, "may have been the cause of it."
"You have permission to escort it to the dungeons, but do not hurt it, I don't think it meant to do it on purpose." Celestia said with a yawn "It probably confused, but I am heading back to bed. I will deal with this in the morning. in the mean time, you should be able to get some spare armor, but as of right now, you duties for the night are revealed, get the next closest guards to my chamber to fill in your position."
"Thank you Princess." the unicorn said picking up the human with his magic. as the two ponies rushed to get the closest guards to tell them what to do, then they ran towards the cellars.
The unicorn threw Escanor into the cellar. Not place, not dropped, But threw him into the cells.
"I hope he doesn't mind being bruised from your rough housing." The pegasus remarked.
"Ehh. he already unconscious. He is not going to remember it." The unicorn said. After that they closed the doors and headed home.
The next morning, It is right at sunrise. "Hey guys the orange hair Monkey is finally awake." A voiced yelled.
"Is this the afterlife?" Escanor murmured. "It is not as colorful than I expected."
"No this is not the afterlife." Escanor looked up and saw a talking pony.
"Talking horses!?!?"Escanor stumbled backwards as he saw a talking unicorn in golden armor. "No it probably just my eyes." He pulled out his pair of glasses, and put them on. "Nope, It talking horses. I am either going mad, or I am dead."
"OI. Talking monkey the princesses want to speak with you." A earth pony said.
"Princesses, talking horse. Oh dear me, what have I gotten into." Escanor said rubbing the sides of his heads.
"Get a move on. I'll lead the way while you follow."
After being escorted by the pony who was only a little bigger than half his height.
"We are here," The Royal guard said as he knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Princess celestia said.
"It is Lieutenant Rock hoof, your majesty," The unicorn said, "And I am here with the orange haired ape you wanted me to fetch"
"Let him come in." Princess Celestia said.
"Yes your Majesty."
The door was pulled open by a golden aura. There sat two pony, much larger than the others, both had horns and wings. the two were at a small coffee table, as if they were waiting for someone or something, and they were.
"I assume you are the princesses."
"Yes we are" The darker one said, "I am princess Luna and this my older sister Princess Celestia. We control the sun and the moon of this world."
"Nice to meet you two," Escanor said with a bow, "My name is Escanor,"
"Whats that on your back?" Celestia asked
"Oh this," Escanor turned around, "Its just a Tattoo, I am a part of the Holy knights from back home. It a sign of loyal to a certain division of the holy knights."
"And what is this Division of the 'Holy knights?'" Luna inquired.
"They are known as the Seven Deadly Sins." Escanor said, "I am the Lion Sin of Pride."
Luna surprisement made her spit her tea back into her mug, Similar how a cartoon character would after hearing something funny while drinking.
"SISTER" Celestia snapped
"Sorry," *cough* Luna said, "Drank to fast" *cough*
"it okay" Escanor said, "I am suppressing my more prideful side. It does tend to startle everyone from the power difference."
"Well I wouldn't mind see your more prideful self, you have no need to suppress it anymore," Celestia said, Luna was still coughing up a fit.
"If you insist." Escanor took off his glasses. His muscles started rapidly growing, and His stature increase immensely. "Now this is much better" Escanor asked in a new voice, one full of pride and arrogance.
"I it just me or did it get hotter in here?" Luna whispered to Celestia
"Literally or metaphorically?" Celestia asked
"First one,"
"Then yes."
"Eh-hem." Escanor coughed trying to get their attention, "I am Lord Escanor, lion sin of pride, And my magical ability is the grace known as Sunshine. A magical ability know from the depths of the demon race, and the pinnacles of the goddess race."
Celestia gave an inquisitive look, "Tell me more about this 'Sunshine' ability of yours."
"BWAHAHAHA" Escanor laughed.
"Why you little." Luna grumble as she threw her tea cup at Escanor shattering it on his 10 pack abs, "No one laughs at my sister."
"LUNA." Celestia snapped at her. "I am sorry for my sister actions Escanor, though it is not very nice to laugh at royalty."
"I was not laughing at you," Escanor said, "I was laughing at how dead center my prediction was. If the royalty doesn't know about the Magical Grace: Sunshine, then this is another world than from my home."
"But you still haven't answered my question have you Escanor." Celestia said.
"Sunshine is a magical ability I was born with. A grace is usually bestowed upon an archangel by the Supreme Deity, the ruler of the goddess race. But after the last one to wield it was forceful had his race changed form angel to demon, from a long story I am not even going to explain." Escanor said while pouring himself some tea, "He lost the grace, an it wasn't seen again for over 3000 years. Until I was born with it. Now what the Magical Grace: Sunshine does, it gives me, the wielder, an increase of physical and magical abilities incrementally until it reaches high noon. Then I am at my strongest." Escanor said as he took a sip of his tea. "Then afterwards, my power starts weakening down to my nighttime form, or the one you saw a few moments ago."
"But you said your magical and physical strength increase, so how were you able to suppress it?"
"My glasses are a magical item given to me by Merlin, the love of my life. She enchanted them so I could suppress my power until I needed it."
Escanor was on his third cup of tea. He didn't know why he liked it so much, maybe he just enjoyed the casual company. Maybe it was he was still recovering from the fight with the demon king. For some reason the tea reminded him of Merlin.
"So Escanor," Celestia said, "I have one last question."
"Go ahead," Escanor said.
"Do you know why you may have come here?"
Escanor was genuinely dumbfounded. He wasn't expecting that question, he though Princess Celestia would ask more about the story.
"I, I am not sure, The last thing I remember before I arrived here, Was my fight with the demon king." Celestia's and Luna's faces scrunched up, that name reminded them of somepony in particular. "By the time he was defeated, I used up to much life energy and my body became unstable. I should be dead, but death has no place for the one who is at the pinnacle of all races, Me, Lord Escanor."
