Spyro: The Dragon Trio of Avalar

by Blackdrag-rose

Interlude: Clash

Spyro, Cynder, Spike, Ember, Flame, and Aurora spent the next week getting used to their new bodies, where Elora and the rest of the group stayed near them, in the off chance that one of them stumbled or fell to the ground so they could help whoever did that out, but for the most part the others simply stayed nearby and watched as the newly matured dragons tackled the challenges that came with their new bodies, which was mostly walking around during the first day and taking a few moments every now and then to stretch so they got used to muscles that were either in new positions or ones that had been added during the maturing process. Elora found that it was sort of like what happened to her, when she left behind her faun form and became a hybrid of a faun and a dragon, as she had taken some time to get used to her new body after the end of that particular adventure, which included both her new legs and her wings, though instead of it being intense for her friends she found that the dragons were quick to adapt to their new bodies, especially since Ember, Cynder, and Flame took a moment to spar with each other, to make sure their arms and legs worked as they were supposed to, while Spyro took to the air and made sure his wings were working as intended, leaving Spike and Aurora to shift their bodies as they used the various forms a mage assumed, or at least the ones Spike had read about in the past. As they did that Spike discovered that none of them seemed to be dealing with any serious side effects from the maturing process, which made sense given the fact that Nestor and Malefor had given them a tonic to put them asleep and would allow them to wake up after all the pain was done, something that put a smile on the faces of the other newly matured dragons and the rest of the group, which persisted as they joined the Leaders and all of the other older dragons for breakfast, something that showed everyone that they were pleased with their new forms and that they were eager to see what the future held for them, once they got used to how their new bodies worked. In fact Titan determined that he would make some time in the next day or two for them to go through the motions that an adult dragon would go through, or at least what the Peace Keepers went through, motions that Ember was excited to learn even though she likely knew many of them from watching him and the others train in the past, something that caused the other Leaders and elder dragons to nod their heads in agreement to what he was saying.

One thing that happened over that week was that Hunter asked what the dragonflies were going to do now, as he knew, just like the others knew, that Sparx, Sting, Talon, Cinder, Flare, and Daisy were supposed to guard the dragons from the dangers of their world and take the damage that the group would have taken, even though that didn't work during their battle with the Dark Master, which proved the power of the dark dragon in question, and it made him ask the question that was now bugging him as he focused on all of the heroic dragonflies, as they were resting on the shoulders of their partners as they ate what was offered to them. He was curious as to what would happen to the dragonflies now that they no longer needed to protect Spyro and the others, because now that the dragons had matured that meant the main task that Sparx and the others had been tasked with was now over and that meant they no longer needed to fly around their partners, to defend them from the dangers of the world, though as he expected it was Spike who opened his mouth to tell him exactly what would happen next, given that he had read nearly everything in Dark Hollow's library and the rest of the archives that existed in the Dragon Realms. While the dragonflies no longer needed to protect them from danger, given that their bodies now possessed the natural defenses of an adult dragon and that meant they could deal with the dangers of their world on their own, though at the same time the answer to Hunter's question was that it was up to Sparx and the others as to what they did next, as some dragonflies were known to return to the swamps of the Beast Makers homeworld and live out the rest of their days in peace as they taught the next generation how to protect those they would eventually be partnered with, while other dragonflies preferred to stand beside their partners and continue tackling the dangers that they faced, more in the sense that they mostly collected gems and whatnot while their dragon partners fought their foes or completed puzzles. Once he was done explaining what the books said on the matter, and the Leaders confirmed that what he had said was correct, Sparx and the other dragonflies buzzed at each other for a few seconds before revealing to the group that they would stick with them until they were forced to retire from being heroes, which was generally ten to fifteen more years, when referring to old age anyway, and there were a few cases where a dragonfly perished in battle as they sacrificed themselves to shield their partner from a fatal blow, thus allowing their partner to win a fight, but that was something none of their dragonflies were intending on doing, given everything they had seen so far.

Hunter tilted his head for a moment, as that really wasn't the answer he was expecting, because he was expecting it to be that the dragonflies retired after their dragon partners matured into adults and no longer needed their protection, but at the same time he decided not to argue with what they were saying and nodded his head to show that he understood what he had just learned, though Sparx and the others were pleased that he cared enough to ask about them and they took a moment to float around his head, like a dance of some kind, before returning to the shoulders of their partners, but that caused everyone to chuckle for a time before they returned to what they had been doing before the question about the dragonflies had been asked.

It was on the third day after the group matured that they received the attire that they had told the Leaders and the others about earlier, which made sense to Elora and the others given that some of the group already had ideas as to what they could wear designed ahead of time and the elders knew about those designs ahead of time, hence why they were able to prepare the various sets of attire so quickly, to which she, Hunter, Bianca, and Amelia patiently waited to see what each set of attire looked like, especially given the fact that their friends would be putting their attire on and showing them off to everyone that was waiting outside their house. Spyro, as it turned out, was definitely wearing the attire of a Balloonist, as when he walked out of the structure everyone found that he was wearing a light grey shirt that had sleeves that stopped at his elbows, a brown pair of pants that stopped at his knees, had a brown belt wrapped around the upper part of it, and it had a hole for his tail, just like his new shirt had slots for his wings to fit through, and he had a pair of goggles on top of his head, where they found his scarf was present as well, which definitely went with his new attire and he seemed to like how he looked, something that everyone agreed with. Cynder was the next one to emerge from the building, where they could see that she had remained true to her word and was wearing her version of the Guardian armor that Ignitus and the rest of them wore, though her set was modified from the original set, as her legs were covered more than what the original set gave the Guardians, she had a chest piece that was crafted to fit over her chest, and the group found that her armor was actually made out of platinum, to match her bracers, before the group noticed that her sash, which showed which element the one who wore the armor was the Guardian of, was split into four sections, the first being a light grey, a second being a shadowy black, the third happened to be a sickly green, and the fourth was a sinister red, representing the Wind, Shadow, Poison, and Fear elements, with a circle in the center of the four having an Aether icon inside it, something that completed her attire with ease. Ember walked out wearing a set of steel armor that matched her own bracers, where Cosmos could see that the chest piece and the leggings were enchanted in a similar fashion to what the bracers had been given when all of them had been made so long ago, though following her was Flame, where he was also wearing a suit of armor that did look similar to what some of the Peace Keepers wore, even though his seemed to be made out of silver and had an orange flame design on the chest, which the group found to be rather interesting and he seemed proud to wear it, which had to make the dragons that made the armor proud as well.

That was around the time that Elora and the others noticed that Spike and Aurora walked out of the house, where Spike was wearing a light blue robe over his chest and lower body, where the cloth that was the closest to the ground was near the middle of the lower half of his legs, so they wouldn't get dirty from touching the ground, though the design of his new robe seemed to have what looked like light grey feathers around the collar area, something that was rather odd but they decided not to question it, before they found that Aurora's robe was pretty much made in the same style of Spike's, but it was more pink colored, a different shade than her scales anyway, and there were three golden pieces, two resting on her shoulders and one around her collar, making her look a little more intimidating in the process.

The only other thing that happened over the week, in addition to everyone showing off their new attire, which were liked by their friends, was where Spike made sure that he could still wield his magic and, upon finding that he was able to do so, continued training Bianca from where they left off, something that included showing Aurora how to channel her magical power, to do more than just breath flames, turn waterwheels with the Water Breath, or freeze enemies with the ice power they had picked up during their previous adventure, even though she ended up blasting a rock to pieces when she tried the Lightning Bolt spell. Spike chuckled at that, as it reminded him of when Bianca was able to use magic without her wand for the first time, and it actually left Aurora amazed since it took her a few days to get that far and made her interested in seeing what she might be able to do once she had the proper training to do so, though during one of their sessions, which was after her first day of training, she revealed that her normal set of attire was just a light blue shirt and some shorts to go with it, meaning it was nothing special and, more importantly, it showed that she was happy to find that she could use magic, otherwise finding another profession would have been taxing for her. Nestor and the other Leaders were happy to see the group adapting to their new forms and learning how to integrate what they had learned in the past with their new bodies, even though they weren't at all surprised by Spike or Ember, as the latter had adapted in no time and it wasn't long before the former did the same, something that caused Spyro and the others to pick up the pace as well, to catch up with the pair and not be left in the dust, though at the same time it was clear that all of them, including Elora, Hunter, Bianca, and Amelia, were in the middle of preparing for another round of battle with Malefor, something that promised to be one of the greatest training sessions for the group as a whole. Sure, the Leaders were surprised by the fact that something like that was even happening, especially after all of the battles that Spyro and the others had witnessed since visiting Capora and observing the strength of both the Dark Master and Malefor in battle, but, despite their thoughts on the matter, they weren't about to argue with the first purple dragon's methods, not that they expected him to go overboard with Spyro and the others, especially after everything they had been through so far.

Despite that fact, and all of the skills that had been thrown around during the battle with the Dark Master, the group felt like their chances had improved thanks to the fact that they had matured and such a thing had unlocked several of their inner powers, especially when they considered what some of them were capable of doing before this point in time, before focusing on their training for the foreseeable future, as they were going to need to be in tip-top shape for the next battle they would be having with Malefor, a match that all of them knew was going to be different from the last time they fought the first purple dragon.

When the seventh and final day had passed, giving the dragons a week to understand their new bodies and get used to all of the new stuff that they weren't used to experiencing, Spyro, his siblings, and the rest of the group, not to mention all of their friends, the Leaders, Guardians, and Elders, gathered on the island that Malefor had brought them to the first time he engaged them in combat, so he could experience their powers for himself, where the main group of heroes gathered on the island while everyone else waited on one of the airships so they could witness what happened next, and even Red was with the watchers, as he had been reinstated as a Dragon Elder and was standing proud at this point, though no one said anything as Malefor landed near the group.

"Feel free to come at me whenever you wish," Malefor stated, though as he said that he shifted his left hand for a moment and drew a blade from the magic that was around them, informing the group that he was ready while also showing that he wasn't about to take the Aether runeblade from whoever was carrying it at the moment, which was Spike this time, before he raised his other hand and beckoned for them to come at him and show him what they were capable of now that they had matured into adults, even though he also kept his eyes on the rest of the group, as it would be unwise to ignore Elora and the others, because they were capable of standing their ground, especially against the likes of the Dark Master, even if the dark dragon had been toying with them.

"Remember, don't take Malefor lightly," Spyro said, where he drew his weapon from its sheath, which was Windshear, and turned to stare at the first purple dragon as he said that, something that was followed by the rest of the group readying themselves for what was coming next, though once he was sure that they were all ready for battle he sighed for a moment and burst into the air, using his new speed to quickly get away from the rest of the group as he rushed towards Malefor, and while he did that Cynder did the same thing from the other direction, showing her father that they had definitely gotten some new skills and power, to which they swung their blades at their target when they got near him.

Malefor stepped back for a moment and raised the blade to parry both of the runeblades that were coming at him, where the air around them shuddered as it happened, though instead of following through with any other attacks the pair took a moment to jump backwards as Elora rushed into the space that they left behind and kicked upward with her left leg, all to knock her foe right into the air, even though she knew that he was simply playing along to get an understanding of what each of them were capable of dishing right now, despite the fact that everyone knew he was focused on the dragons for the most part. As she knocked Malefor into the air, where he flipped backwards to balance himself, that was when Ember rushed forward and punched him in the chest with her bare fist, showing that whatever weapons she had access to, as she did have the Fangs of Felinia with her and carried Tremor on her belt, she didn't feel like using at the moment and wanted to show off her base power for a time, or at least until he turned up the heat and took them seriously, like when he fought the Dark Master, and as she knocked her foe backwards through the air she had to smile for a moment as she knew what was coming next while the rest of the group moved into position. Not even a few seconds later Aurora flashed over to an area that was near where Malefor was heading and spun Frostbite for a moment, as some of them had changed who was carrying which runeblade before coming to this training session, before swinging the tip towards Malefor as she called on the power that was inside the blade and hurled a cluster of Ice Spikes into the air, allowing them to race towards the first purple dragon as he swung his weapon at the first one and found that his own blade wasn't all that great for this, due to the fact that she pushed him backwards. In the following moment Malefor's aura flared to life once more and he let flames dance around his body as he blasted all of the Ice Spikes apart, basically turning them back into moisture as they passed by where he was floating and he dismissed his weapon so he could focus on his foes, but Aurora smiled for a second, as this had been what they were planning on as Bianca, who used magical platforms that Spike had hidden from everyone else's view, while allowing her to see them, leapt into the air and spun Atlan's Trident as she did that, where the moisture from Aurora's attack coiled around the tip of the weapon and she sent it back down at Malefor, breaking them into smaller bits of water, which were Water Bolts, as they raced towards her target.

Malefor, noticing the attack coming his way, weaved his magic through the air and blasted the Water Bolts before any of them could reach him, making sure to leave nothing behind for one either Bianca or Spike to use, before he raised both of his hands to catch a pair of arrows that Hunter and Amelia had loosed at him, causing him to raise an eyebrow as he took a moment to stare at the projectiles, since he was expecting them to do something different since they carried two of the other runeblades, though that was around the time that the arrows detonated in a magical surge that knocked him back a tiny bit. He stood there for a moment, smoke coming from his hands as he stared at them for a moment, before realizing that either Spyro or Spike had fooled him into making that move, which was well planned when he thought about it since it was a tactic he wouldn't have been able to see coming without his Sage's Vision, something that would have ruined what he had seen, which was followed by Spyro landing nearby and stared at him for a moment, where Malefor focused on him and noticed that the air was starting to vibrate a little, like he was starting to use a power that the others didn't have, one that he knew well enough. The pair stared at each other for a few seconds, giving Ember and everyone else time to brace themselves for what was coming next, before both Spyro and Malefor unleashed their power on each other, allowing their Conqueror's Spirits to clash against each other in the middle of the space that rested between them, which was followed by blackened lightning with a red aura around the bolts bursting out of where their attacks met, while also releasing an aura of power that washed over the island and stopped before the airship that everyone else was standing on, though it was in that moment that Malefor noticed that none of the group had fallen to the ground, either due to their empowered spirits being able to withstand the power of his Conqueror's Spirit colliding with Spyro's, which would be possible due to all of their experiences since the last time this happened, or due to the runeblades they carried. Of course the ground had to crack due to the pressure of their abilities hitting each other, which was understandable given that he happened to be the one who first discovered this technique and mastered it, meaning he knew everything there was to know about this rare skill and its effect on the world or people that were around the user at the time, even if engaging with Spyro allowed him to expand his knowledge on this skill and he knew that Spike had to be studying anything new that happened so it could be recorded for the future generations, just in case he failed to do so.

As he thought about that Spyro smirked for a moment and vanished not a second later, which was when a spiral of flames rushed through the area he had been standing in and quickly made its way towards where Malefor was standing, which looked like it was coming from Flame, even though he was carrying Flamestrike, to which the first purple dragon raised his hand and summoned a wall of magic to stop the attack from hitting him, though he made a quick note after that to make sure he knew which of his opponents was carrying which runeblade, even if it might not do anything to boost his chances of beating his foes. Spyro and Cynder were obvious, as the former was carrying Windshear and the latter was holding onto Penumbra still, Spike had Almos resting on his belt, Ember carried Tremor and didn't seem to be doing anything with it at the moment, Aurora carried Frostbite and seemed to have a good understanding of how to wield it, Flame was definitely wielding Flamestrike, and Bianca carried Atlan's Trident, leaving three runeblades and their users unaccounted for, as he could see that all three of them were nearby, so based on the power he was feeling he had to determine that Hunter had Storm's Fury, Amelia was in possession of Scorpion's Sting, and Elora had to be carrying Dread. He wasn't expecting them to combine all of the powers of the runeblades into a single attack, not like how they did against the Dark Master, but just thinking about that made him keep his guard up since with Spike being part of this battle there was no telling just what the group would do next, as Spike's Sage's Vision had likely improved with the rest of his skills and magic, due to maturing into an adult, something that made him consider something else that he was seeing, none of the dragons were showing signs of wanting to go back to running around on all fours, meaning they had adapted to their bodies in seemingly record time and that meant part of this training session was already complete. Even with that in mind Malefor noticed that those of the group who weren't as strong as Spyro and the other dragons, meaning Hunter and Amelia, were still holding their own and it looked like they had pushed themselves to be stronger than when they faced the Dark Master, possibly playing catch up to their friends, as even Elora and Bianca had joined them, Flame, and Aurora in catching up to Spyro, Cynder, Spike, and Ember's level of power, though it was in that moment that he noticed someone had slipped away from the fight and took a moment to shift his head as he raced to locate Elora again, as she was the only one who hadn't done much since this fight had started and there was no telling what she, or Spike for that matter, might be planning.

It was in that moment that he raised his left arm in a defensive manner, while the flames from Flame's attack died down, and blocked the incoming punch that came from Elora, though what was impressive was that she, once more, was able to knock him in the direction of her attack, as he was pushed away from where he had been standing a few seconds ago, but it made him wonder about her for a moment, because she was a hybrid of a dragon and a faun he had to wonder if she had unknowingly gone through the maturing process as well, without any signs of it happening in the first place, before he came to the decision that it didn't matter and that she had learned everything that her teachers could offer her, which had to include Spike given her recent ability to tap into her new magic. Not a few seconds later he braced himself and stopped moving, allowing him to take a moment and stand straight again as he brushed off the area Elora had struck him in, which was just a light marking in the grand scheme of things, before he raised his hands for a moment and loosed a few magical bolts into the air, sending them after everyone that he was fighting at the moment so he could see how they did against this sort of attack and if he needed to up his game or not, because if Spyro and the other dragons were stronger than he originally thought, even though he was sure that Spike was already stronger than normal, he might have to channel some of his stronger powers into testing them. What he found to be interesting was that some of the group stood their ground and lashed out at the incoming bolts of magic with the powers that were stored inside their runeblades, blowing up the bolts before they could hit the area his targets were standing in, while some, like Spyro, took to the air for a moment and just flew around the sky for a few moments, even though Spyro outmaneuvered his attack and struck it from behind with a burst of wind that came from Windshear, allowing him to take the attack down as the others did the same, even though Spike was the only one that tried something else as he opened a small portal near him and used it to send the attack back at Malefor, who smiled as he moved out of the way and took to the air, as everyone seemed to be using their strengths in this fight and were showing him that they had learned from their battle with the Dark Master. As that happened he found that him heading into the air seemed to be what Spike was planning as he manipulated the moisture to form an Ice Cage in the air around him, which was just a massive ice cube designed to keep someone contained in a single spot, and he was able to break that rather easily with his magic, though following that he noticed eight different energy swings rushed from the area they were loosed from and he swung his arm to loose bursts of energy to counter the incoming attacks, filling the air with smoke for a couple of seconds.

Not a few moments later he heard the sound of something roaring and raised a magical barrier around him for a second as a serpent made entirely out of water burst through the smoke, where it slammed into his defensive spell and covered it as quickly as it could, something that allowed Malefor to see that there were bits of lightning dancing around the water he was now surrounded by, causing him to glance down at the ground and found that Hunter and Bianca had combined the powers of Storm's Fury and Atlan's Trident into what he was seeing, before noticing a few small pebbles that were also inside this attack and realized that Ember had used Tremor to make them and that she was trying to trap him the instant he lowered his guard, as they would grow into an tomb made of stone... which was why he shattered everything around him by summoning his Spirit of Valor, which seemed to be when the group got near each other once more.

"So, we're already at this stage of the fight," Flame commented, as he had been impressed by this move the first time he had witnessed it in battle, and it was still amazing when he stared at it for a few seconds, and he could tell that Aurora was feeling the same way that he was, while the rest of the group wasn't all that phased by seeing this move again, which he knew made sense given that they were more experienced than the two of them were, to which he readied himself as he faced Malefor, which Aurora replicated not a few seconds later, showing the rest of the group that they were ready for the next stage of this battle.

"Don't forget the plan," Bianca replied, because they had been following something that Spike had thought up before this training session had started, even if it was more like a battle at this point in time, and so far it looked like their plan was working like a charm, despite the fact that they would have failed if Malefor bothered to look into the future with his own Sage's Vision, though not a few seconds later she and the others moved away from where Spyro and Cynder, positioning themselves in the way Spike wanted them to be in for what was coming next, before facing Malefor as he drew one of the Spirit's blades and readied himself for what was coming next.

In the following moment Malefor brought the blade down on the area that they were standing in, which could split part of the island off from the rest of the landmass, but before it could reach its destination Spike weaved his magic through the air and summoned a partial barrier in the air between them, allowing the blade to strike his gleaming purple shield that he had created, though as soon as that happened, and Malefor's attack was stopped in its tracks, Bianca used her magic to teleport Aurora up into the air near the spot that their foe was positioned in, when they thought about the Spirit of Valor to be exact, and as she did that she raised her hands as she called up her magic for a moment.

"Solar Flare!" Aurora called out, a warning that allowed the rest of her group, who were already in the process of averting their eyes so they didn't get caught in what was coming next, to fully hide their eyes for a few moments as she loosed the spell that she had been preparing, something that caused a bright flash of light to emit from where she was positioned and caused anyone who was watching to be blinded for a moment, even though it likely wouldn't effect everyone that was located on the airship, given the distance between her location and where the ship was located, though even as she did all of that she had the feeling her attack did next to nothing against Malefor.

Malefor, of course, had been caught off guard by the spell, as he wasn't expecting something like that to be used against him in this training session, hence why he staggered for a moment and that caused the Spirit's blade to pull back as well, though at the same time Aurora, who froze for a second due to being surprised by what she was seeing, moved out of the way and readied herself for what was coming next, which was when both Spyro and Cynder started to make their move at last, where they stood next to each other and channeled their magical energies through their bodies as they stared at the area that Malefor was currently resting in.

"Dark Aether." Cynder stated, where she was surrounded by the dark purple aura that her father had used when he called upon this power so he could eliminate the Dark Master's soul, to prevent the dark dragon from returning again, while at the same time she and Spyro raised their legs into the air, her using her right leg and Spyro using the left, before rapidly stomping at the ground that they were standing on, causing the earth that was in their immediate area to crack under the weight of their powers, something that had to surprise the watchers as the pair readied themselves for what they were about to do, as this could either work in their favor or fail entirely.

"Light Aether." Spyro said, speaking just a few seconds after Cynder did, while at the same time allowing a lighter purple aura to wrap around him as he revealed what he was doing, meaning he was tapping into the other half of the Aether's power, before both he and Cynder launched themselves into the air and flew towards the section of the Spirit of Valor that Malefor was positioned in, where he raised his left palm not a few seconds later and Cynder did the same with her right palm, something that was followed by trails of their respective energies following their movements as they formed what many in their world called a 'yin-yang' symbol.

"Fist of Roaring Magic, Rending Air!" the pair said in perfect unison, which was when they lashed out at the section of the Spirit of Valor that was in front of them and struck the magical armor that Malefor was using as a weapon and as a shield, their palms shifting into fists as they hit their target, something that caused ripples of twin colored purple energy, as in the ripples had a light coloration and a dark coloration to match the powers that the pair were using, to emit from the section of the Spirit that they had struck and caused the air around them to shake at the same time, only for some of the group to stop for a moment and let their jaws drop for a moment as they watched as golden cracks formed in front of the area that Malefor was resting in.

They weren't the only ones that were caught off guard by what they were seeing right now, as Malefor, who had spent so many years creating and perfecting the Spirit of Valor, so it could be one of the greatest moves in the entire world, mostly so it could bring down the Dark Master's defenses and it succeeded in that regard, was frozen for a time as he focused on all of the cracks that were in front of him, as Spyro and Cynder, who he knew were some of the strongest dragons in the entire world, and that wasn't ignoring Spike and Ember, had managed to figure out a way to actually bypass the defenses of the Spirit of Valor and damaged it, which was why he was so stunned. A few moments later the power the pair brought to bare against their foe knocked the Spirit backwards and it started to stumble for a second or two, but they didn't get it or Malefor the chance to recover as they continued to lash out at the cracked area of the Spirit, something that caused all of the cracks to expand at an alarming rate, revealing to Spike that using the twin powers of the Aether, the Light and the Dark as the pair named them, against something or someone was a great way to bring down a foe or weaken them, and even the first purple dragon was coming to terms with the fact that had been revealed to them. Eventually Malefor took a moment to gather his power and summoned a barrier between him and his current foes, mostly to stall them as he called for a burst of his own power to knock both of them backwards, where they flipped backwards and landed on the ground near the rest of the group, though it was in that moment that he discovered that the Spirit refused to move, that the sheer power of Spyro and Cynder's attack had to still be causing havoc on his creation, something that was easy to see due to all of the cracks spreading even further than they had been earlier, before the unthinkable happened and the Spirit of Valor shattered into a thousand pieces that rained down on the area that they had been fighting in. Malefor, while shocked by what just happened, burst out of the wreckage of the Spirit and watched as it collapsed into nothingness, though he didn't have that much time to come to terms with what had happened as Hunter and Bianca moved in to attack him while some of his defenses were lowered by this event, the former sending out bolts of lightning from his runeblade and rained them down on the area he was standing in, while at the same time the latter called upon the moisture in the air to send out a few more Water Bolts as well, causing Malefor to duck and weave as he moved backwards.

It was only in that moment that he realized that Spike, even if the destruction of the Spirit of Valor wasn't part of his plan, wasn't missing a beat as the others moved in to pin him to a single area, as Flame and Aurora sent out a pair of waves that rushed through the air and headed towards him, one being made of flames and another being icy, attacks that he dodged and ignored as he flew over to where his foes were standing, though that was when Elora landed between them and threw a punch at her, one that he blocked with one of his arms before backing off to adjust himself for what was coming next, as he knew that something had to be coming his way. What he wasn't expecting was for the group to freeze the lower half of his body, where it appeared that Bianca had used Atlan's Trident to either redirect Aurora's attack or had transformed the wave into water and used a spell to freeze him to the ground, though before he even had a chance to really do something in return Ember, this time holding Tremor out like she was going to use it, slammed one of her hands against the ground for a moment and the section he was standing on rose into the air, like a pillar of earth had been summoned and it was in the middle of moving him up to a brand new area for some odd reason. That, of course, was when he found that Spike had moved up into the air while he was distracted and had summoned all of the elements into a single attack, basically an Elementium Bomb by the looks of things, before he noticed that he even added Water to the attack, something that only strengthened the spell in the process and turned it into a True Elementium Bomb, as with all ten elements combined into a single attack the damage would be even greater than it had been earlier, and with the fact that Spike carried both of the Aether weapons he knew that the spell might even surpass his wildest expectations, something that caused Malefor to reply in kind. What he did was gather the same elements that Spike had gathered into the area between his hands, like he was charging a beam attack, but instead of making the core of it out of the Light Aether, like he suspected Spike had since he only knew how to wield the Light variation, due to the fact that he never taught the dragon in question how to wield the darker variation, Malefor channeled the Dark Aether into the core of his attack and, once he was sure it was ready, it only took him a few moments to fire the beam up into the air and let it race towards the area that Spike was in, even though his plan was to strike the spherical attack with his own beam and cancel them both out.

It seemed simple in his eyes, use an equally powerful attack to take out Spike's attack, one that might have been powered by the rest of the group given that they were wielding the other runeblades, but what actually happened was that both of their attacks, when they reached the space that was between where he was standing and where Spike was floating, flared with magical power for a moment, causing the two attacks to spiral around before heading off towards the mountain that Malefor had cut the first time he showed off his Spirit of Valor... though as the smoke cleared he found an odd noodle like creature, who had an odd horse-like head of some kind, even though that was the closest he could come up with, a white deer antler, a blue goat horn, one long fang, different sized eyes, a goatee, and white eyebrows, while possessing the arm of a lion, the claw of an eagle, a lizard's leg, the leg of a goat, a small bat wing and a small bird-like wing that was also odd, a horse's mane, and a dragon-like snake's tail that ended with a white tuff.

"I cannot believe my luck sometimes... first I get roped into helping Her out, following energy signatures across the rest of our universe, and then I get attacked as soon as I arrive at one of my destinations," the creature said, where it sounded like he, and it was definitely a he based on the voice that came from it's mouth, wasn't too happy about something and that he was only doing this for a very good reason, even though the group was shocked as they stared at him for a moment, due to the fact that he had knocked both Malefor and Spike's True Elementium attacks out of the way like they were nothing to him, before they recovered from what they were seeing and decided that they might as well figure out what was going on right now, since this was also entirely new to them as well.

"Well, you opened a portal into that one, Discord," Spike stated, though at the same time he already knew what was going to happen as soon as he revealed the fact that he knew who this was, as he and Ember had a plan on when to reveal what they knew to Spyro and the others, once they were done training with Malefor, and the arrival of Discord just ruined their entire plan, but even as that happened he flew down to where the familiar creature was floating, who was dusting off his body for a moment, despite the fact that nothing had happened to him.

"Though it seems my luck has... turned around..." the creature, Discord as Spike called it, continued, though that was when he turned and looked at Spike for a few seconds, something that caused him to raise one of his eyebrows for a moment as they stared at each other, before he glanced around the area they were in and noticed that Ember was staring up at them as well, with her arms crossed since she was looking forward to a long battle with Malefor before this happened, to which he shifted his stance again and faced Spike once more, "Spike, you seem... different... and you certainly didn't have all of this magical power the last time I saw you."

"Um, what in the world is going on?" Flame asked, but even as he said that Spike flew down to the ground and that was the moment that everyone gathered around him for a moment, despite the fact that their eyes were on the creature that had interrupted the training session, something that he was fine with since it seemed like he and the others didn't need any help getting used to their new bodies or their new powers, before he focused on the more important thing as he glanced at Spike for a moment, "How do you know this guy?"

"Because he's from our home planet... and by our, I mean Ember and I," Spike replied, to which he turned and focused on the rest of the group for a moment, where it was easy to see that all of them were confused by what was going on and that each of them wanted an explanation, even though Discord's arrival had caused the elder dragons on the airship to realize that the fight was over and were in the middle of landing nearby so everyone could figure out what in the world was going on, hence the reason that he wanted for Nestor, the rest of the elders, and the rest of their friends to stop by where they were standing, before he sighed for a moment as he prepared himself for what he was about to say, "Ember and I were planning on telling you guys this later, once we were done training with Malefor since we were still coming to terms with it ourselves, but during the maturing process both of us also awakened memories of our previous lives, on another world to be exact, and we instantly realized that the other had the same thing happen, so we decided to take a week to figure out what in the world had happened before we confused everyone with the fact that both of us were like Spyro and Cynder, in the sense that we had memories of another life resting inside us."

"Okay, did you guys do something to him?" Discord asked, because the more Spike talked the more confused he got as he observed the former baby dragon that he was used to seeing in their world, while at the same time Ember seemed to be the same as he remembered, or at least he assumed so based on what he had seen of her so far, before he focused on the dragon that was surprising him and would be doing the same thing to those that were back on their planet, "Because he wasn't this smart back on our planet, nor did he have this much magical power... no offense meant, Spike."

"We didn't 'do' anything to him, he had this power slumbering inside him and he trained hard to unlock it," Spyro said, but while he was a little annoyed by what the creature had said, or Discord as he reminded himself since that was what Spike had called him, he was more interested by the fact that Spike and Ember actually came from another world, as he knew his siblings too well at this point, and he was going to keep calling them that, regardless of what they really were, and neither of them were lying to him, their friends, or their elders, hence the reason he had a smile on his face, "I can understand why you decided to keep this a secret, to give yourselves time to understand your shared past on your own time, and that you had a plan to reveal everything to us at some point... though I'm also interested in opening a portal to your home planet and seeing the place you and Ember came from."

"Its time for us to embark on a new adventure, to a brand new world no less." Flame stated, showing that he knew what Spyro was talking about and, despite his and Aurora's feelings on adventures, that he was actually excited to see the place that Spike and Ember had come from, as they had assumed the pair had come from the Dragon Realms, given that they were Spyro's siblings, and learning that the pair had come from another world made them eager to see what they might discover by heading to the planet in question.

Spike and Ember smiled for a moment, as they were happy to see that, despite the fact that they hadn't told anyone about the memories they had unlocked, Spyro and the others didn't see them in a new light and were interested in visiting the world they came from, to see what their home looked like and how different it was from the world they called home, and it wasn't long before Spyro and the Professor started talking about the idea in question, leaving a rather confused Discord just standing there, even though he eventually sighed and followed the group, just to see what they were up to before he used his magic to open the way back home, despite the fact that Spike and Ember would surprise him once the Professor was done with his work.
