“ Dusknoir use Shadow Punch,” Kyle said as Dusknoir unleashed his Shadow Punch on an Espeon and won the battle. The visual of the match suddenly shrunk and moved to the upper left corner of the screen with Lilian behind a desk.
“ And that was footage of Kyle Grim winning his third ribbon in the Celadon Pokemon Contest. Our next contest takes place in Silvertown. Hope to see all of you contest fans there,” Lilian said before Turquoise turned to Applejack.
“ Any idea where Silvertown is?” Turquoise asked as Applejack checked the map.
“ It’s right between Lavender Town and Saffron City and wherein luck it’s not that far,” Applejack said.
“ Then what are we waiting for let’s go,” Turquoise said full of joy until Rarity stopped her.
“ What’s the rush Darling? The Contest isn’t for another two days,” Rarity said.
“ Besides I think you should do some training first so you don't fail like last time,” Rainbow said.
“ Fair point,” Turquoise said. Turquoise decided to work on some defensive moves with some help from Twilight. After they finished training for the day the girls decided to call it a night and head out first thing in the morning.
The next day the girls packed up and left for Silver town. As they were walking a dense fog rolled in.
“ I don,t remember things getting so foggy last time,” Turquoise said.
“ That’s because last time we took a different route to reach the emergency tunnel to Celadon City. Since we are taking the direct route to Saffron City the weather is going to be different,” Applejack said. As they were walking the fog became denser. Just when it looked like they were about to be lost a woman with blonde hair wearing a maid uniform and her Ninetails found them.
“ You kids should not be wandering around this fog without a lantern to light your way,” The woman said.
“ Sorry about that, we didn’t know fog was in the forecast for today,” Twilight said.
“ In any case come with us our mansion is not that far from here,” The woman said before she and her Ninetails motioned for them to follow her. As they were walking the woman’s Ninetails looked back at Turquoise like she recognized her. The girls then arrived in front of what looked like a mansion.
“ What is a Mansion doing out here?” Twilight asked.
“ The Silver family moved here from the Unova Region over 200 years ago and decided to build their mansion close to Lavender Town for the peace,” The woman said before introducing herself. “ Apologies for not introducing myself I’m Nene and I’m the caretaker of this mansion. As they were walking the girls noticed some of the wall decorations were covered with white sheets. Nene showed the girls to the dining room for lunch. Turquoise suddenly noticed that Nene had no reflection in a mirror. Ninetails noticed it and then used Extrasensory to close the doors on it.
“ What was that?” Rarity asked.
“ Just the wind,” Nene said. Turquoise felt like something was off and decided to look into it. As they were on their way to the guest rooms Nene told Turquoise to follow her to another room. Nene showed Turquoise to a room with a fancy bed with light pink drapes, some antique furniture, and a huge walk-in closet. But what was most noticeable was a picture of a girl who looked exactly like Turquoise wearing a regal red dress with a Ninetails next to her.
“ This girl looks just like me but how?” Turquoise asked.
“ That is a picture of the Silver Family’s daughter Astrid. She always loved to play with me and the ghost-type pokemon that loved to come here. When she started her journey she never came back,” Nene said.
“ So what I saw earlier,” Turquoise said before Nene finished.
“ Is an illusion I created. Astrid’s parents went to look for her. As time went on the servants all left one by one until it was just me. Even the ghost-types who came here stopped coming. I wanted to leave this place but something kept me from leaving. I endured all the sadness and loneliness for so long I almost lost hope until you and your friends showed up,” Nene said before Ninetails rubbed up against Turquoise.
“ I feel for you but I am not Astrid. My name is Turquoise,” Turquoise said.
“ But you look just like her. You even have her pendant which was given to her by her grandmother,” Nene said before the others burst in.
“ Turquoise get back Nene is not a real person,” Twilight said.
“ I know and I understand why Ninetails created her. Ninetails felt like she was abandoned when the servants all left,” Turquoise said.
“ Don,t tell us you plan to abandon your journey just to live here,” Rainbow said.
“ Of course not. Ninetails I feel for you and this place is very nice. But I have my journey to go on,” Turquoise said.
“ I see so you want to abandon me too? Well, I won,t let you,” Nene shouted before Ninetails used Extrasensory to lock the door behind her and keep the girls trapped in Astrid’s bedroom while Nene vanished.
“ Great now what are we going to do?” Rainbow said.
“ We could use our Pokemon to break the door down,” Applejack suggested.
“ Good idea,” Turquoise said. Right before Turquoise could grab one of her Pokeballs, her bag along with everyone else’s began floating in mid-air. Luckily Turquoise was able to grab her Pokedex which reacted after being pointed at their bags.
“ Dreepy. The Lingering Pokemon. If this weak Pokémon is by itself, a mere child could defeat it. But if Dreepy has friends to help it train, it can evolve and become much stronger,” The Pokedex said before all the Dreepy revealed themselves and started laughing.
“ What’s with these things?” Rainbow asked.
“ I think they want to play. Ninetails mentioned that Astrid loved to play with the ghost-types that came here,” Turquoise said. After playing with them for a bit the Dreepy gave the girls their stuff back. As the dreepy that was holding Turquoise’s bag was coming down it accidentally dropped it and one of the Pokeballs inside flew at it and captured it. After a few shakes, it clicked shut and vanished.
“ Looks like you just caught a Dreepy,” Rainbow said.
“ But how do we get out of here?” Applejack asked. The girls looked around the room until Twilight came across what looked like an ornate looking Pokeball on top of the dresser.
“ Hey, girls, I think I found Ninetail’s Pokeball,” Twilight said.
“ So we can use that to recall that Ninetails that great,” Rainbow said.
“ Turquoise I think you should be the one to do it,” Rarity said.
“ That’s right its most likely that Astrid past away a long time ago and Ninetails will keep lingering here all alone. Since you look like Astrid I think you doing it will at least bring some peace of mind to that Ninetails,” Twilight said.
“ You’re right it must be me who does it,” Turquoise said. Sometime later Ninetails decided to check up on Turquoise and the others. Turquoise approached Ninetails and pulled out her Pokeball. Ninetails looked happy after seeing the Pokeball.
“ Ninetails return,” Turquoise said as the Pokeball absorbed Ninetails and then shattered. After leaving the Mansion the spirit of Ninetails appeared in front of them before walking off and vanishing along with the fog and the illusion of the mansion which revealed to be in a state of disrepair. After returning to the path The girls continued to Silver Town. As they were walking they saw Silver town on the horizon. As soon as the girls arrived they went to the Pokemon Center to rest while Turquoise made a quick call to Professor Oak. After a few rings, Gary appeared on the screen.
“ Good to see you Turquoise and I can guess you're calling about that Dreepy you just caught?” Gary asked.
“ I have, how is it doing?” Turquoise asked.
“ Dreepy seems to be anxious I think she wants to be with you,” Gary said.
“ Then take my Altaria and send her over,” Turquoise said.
“ I am happy to,” Gary said as he prepared to send Dreepy over. After placing Altaria’s Pokeball on the tray it was transported and Dreepy’s Pokeball appeared. After getting her Dreepy Turquoise decided to train with her to see what moves she knows. Dreepy’s moves were Sucker Punch, Astonish, Dragon Tail, and Bite. After doing some training for tomorrow’s contest with Rarity the girls called it a night.
The next day Turquoise and Rarity were changing into their outfits for the contest while the others waited in the stands. Lilian took her place on stage ready to announce the start of the contest.
“ Welcome everyone to the Silver Town Pokemon Contest. Today will surely be filled with breathtaking performances and amazing battles. So before we begin let me first introduce our judges. First, the head of the Pokemon Activities Committee Mr. Contesta,” Lilian said as she pointed at Contesta.
“ It's a pleasure to be here once again Lilian,” Contesta said.
“ Next up is the head of the Pokemon Fan Club Mr. Sukizo,” Lilian said while pointing at Sukizo.
“ Remarkable,” Sukizo said.
“ And finally Silver Town’s own Nurse Joy,” Lilian said while pointing at Nurse Joy.
“ I can't wait to see what our coordinators have for us today,” Nurse Joy said.
“ And now that introductions are out of the way LET'S GET BUSY,” Lilian said. As soon as the contest started the many coordinators went on one by one until it was Turquoise’s turn. “ And now taking the stage is Turquoise.
“ Milotic let’s dazzle them,” Turquoise said as she threw her Pokeball which popped open and unleashed a bunch of blue bubbles with Milotic spinning elegantly before landing on the stage. “ Let's start with Aqua Ring. Milotic unleashed a bunch of water particles that formed a ring around her. “ Now use Water Pulse while spinning. Milotic unleashed a spinning water pulse that collided with the Aqua Ring covering Milotic in sparkles.
“ Now that's what I call a beautiful performance, what do you say judges?” Lilian said.
“ A truly spectacular way to show off the majestic beauty of a milotic,” Contesta said.
“ Remarkable,” Sukizo said.
“ The way it sparkled made Turquoise’s shiny Milotic even shinier,” Nurse Joy said. After Turquoise returned backstage Rarity took her turn.
“ Meowstic center stage,” Rarity said as she threw her Pokeball which popped open and unleashed a puff of white smoke with a female variation of Meowstic landing on the stage gracefully. “ Let's start with Magical Leaf. Meowstic unleashed a bunch of leaves from her tail before awaiting Rarity’s next command. “ Now use Disarming Voice. Meowstic began to sing a very harmonious tune as the leaves began to rain down around Meowstic.
“ What a lovely performance,” Lilian said.
“ The timing of that Disarming Voice was perfect,” Contesta said.
“ Remarkable,” Sukizo said.
“ It was like watching a pop star sing in the middle of an autumn day,” Nurse Joy said. After returning backstage Turquoise and Rarity waited to see if they made it to the second round. After a while, Lilian appeared on the screen.
“ Sorry for the wait everyone and now after careful consideration here are the eight coordinators moving on to the second round,” Lilian said as the eight profile pics appeared with Turquoise in fourth and Rarity in eighth. After the pics were shuffled the second round began. Turquoise and Rarity won both of their battles and now it was down to just the two of them. “ And now we are down to our last two coordinators. On my left is Rarity and on my right is Turquoise. Five minutes on the clock. Go.
“ Froslass center stage,” Rarity said as she sent out Froslass who appeared out of a puff of smoke.
“ Zoroark let's dazzle them,” Turquoise said as she threw her Pokeball which popped open and unleashed a bunch of music notes around Zoroark.
“ Froslass use Hail. Froslass unleashed a white ball of light that generated a cloud that unleashed a hailstorm which activated Froslass’s Snow Cloak ability. “ Now use Frost Breath on Zoroark. Froslass unleashed a breath of cold air which caused Zoroark to be covered in a thin layer of ice.
“ And that just costs Turquoise some points,” Lilian said as Turquoise’s score went down.
Turquoise: 90%
“ Zoroark use Night Daze to break free. Zoroark built up her power and broke free from the ice while damaging Froslass.
“ And Turquoise strikes back with a powerful Night Daze,” Lilian said as Rarity’s points went down.
Rarity: 80%
“ Now use Night Slash. Zoroark charged at Froslass with claws covered in dark energy.
“ Not this time. Froslass use Double Team. Froslass split into multiple copies and escaped Zoroark’s attack.
“ I know you would try that. Zoroark use Night Daze while Spinning. Zoroark began spinning around on her tiptoe while building up power for Night Daze and then slammed it on the ground creating an energy field of spiraling dark energy with Zoroark in the center. The energy field expanded and wiped out all the fakes while the real one took some damage while still surviving.
“ And that amazing counter just cost Rarity a mountain of points,” Lilian said as Rarity’s score went down drastically as the timer reached the three-minute mark.
Rarity: 40%
“ That was quite the combination but don,t think you can beat me that easily. Froslass use Double Team. Froslass used another Double Team.
“ Just like last time Zoroark use Night Daze. Zoroark repeated her last move only this time Rarity was ready.
“ Now use Frost Breath from all directions. Froslass along with her clones unleashed a barrage of Frost Breath which froze Zoroark in place with the Night Daze still in the air.
“ and with that Rarity almost evened the score,” Lilian said as Turquosie’s points dropped as the clock reached the one minute thirty second mark.
Turquoise: 50%
“ Not bad but we are not out yet,” Turquoise said as the power from Night Daze broke Zoroark free from the ice. “ Zoroark end this with Knock Off. Zoroark charged at Froslass with her arm glowing in dark energy as the hail suddenly stopped and the clock reached the one minute mark.
“ Froslass dodge that and use Ice Shard. Right before Froslass could follow Rarity’s command Zoroark nailed Froslass for a good amount of damage and fainted which caused the judges to hit their buzzers.
“ And the winner of the Silver Town Contest is Turquoise,” Lilian shouted as Turquoise’s picture appeared on the jumbotron with a winner icon on it.
“ We did Zoroark,” Turquoise said as she hugged Zoroark who looked happy.
“ You were fabulous as always, Froslass now rest,” Rarity said as she recalled Froslass while smiling at Turquoise. A few moments later everyone was gathered for the award ceremony.
“ And now Mr. Contesta will award Turquoise with the Silver Ribbon,” Lilian said as Contesta approached Turquoise.
“ That was the most excellent battle you and your opponent showed us,” Contesta said as he handed Turquoise the ribbon.
“ Thank you,” Turquoise said. After the Contest ended the girls all went back to the Pokemon Center to rest up and prepare for the upcoming fight against Team Supernova.
