There you are.” Dustin’s voice said to Sunset, startling her a bit, but she calmed herself. “Dustin! You almost gave me a heart attack!” Sunset said as she clutched her chest. “Sorry about that.” Dustin said, walking beside her. “Nice view, eh?” Dustin asked Sunset, but he then noticed Sunset’s expression. “You ok?” Sunset only sighed in response before answering, “No, I’m not.” Sunset said with remorse, still upset about her actions, and Dustin can see that. (OST - My Past Is Not Today) Sunset: Power Was all I desired Sunset sang as the sun began to set. Sunset: But all that grew inside me Was the darkness I acquired When I began to fall And I lost the path ahead That's when your friendship found me And it lifted me instead Like a phoenix burning bright In the sky I'll show there's another side to me You can't deny I may not know what the future holds But hear me when I say That my past does not define me 'Cause my past is not today As the song continued, me and Sunset were in a hallway, pictures of Sunset prior to her change were hung. Sunset grabbed each one and threw them into the trash. Sunset: Ambition Is what I believed Would be the only way To set me free But when it disappeared And I found myself alone That's when you came and got me And it felt like I was home Like a phoenix burning bright In the sky Sunset continued to sing as she discarded her jacket, making Dustin catch it. Sunset: I'll show there's another side to me You can't deny Sunset’s body than began to surge with yellow aura as the sun began to rise. Sunset: I may not know what the future holds But hear me when I say That my past does not define me 'Cause my past is not today Sunset’s song finished as a pair of fiery wings and a fiery tail appeared behind her, but this happened only briefly before Sunset was gently sent back to the ground. Dustin walked up to her, a warm smile on his face. “Well, you truly have changed for the better Sunny.” Dustin said, patting Sunset’s back. Sunset then looked to him with a giggle. “Did you just call me Sunny?” Sunset asked, still giggling. “Oh, like you don’t like the nickname.” Dustin said teasingly. “New transformation added to playlist.” The Digitrix beeped. “Oh, for God’s sake.” Dustin said, but Sunset was confused. “Is that thing broken or something?” Sunset asked. “Nah, it’s just very recently, when the girls accessed their magic, I’ve been getting new transformations lately.” Dustin said with a shrug. “Oh yeah. Pinkie told me about that yesterday.” Sunset said before she walked to see the new transformation. “Well, let’s see what this one is.” ‘Let’s hope this one isn’t wearing anything suggestive.’ Dustin said as he and Sunset then saw the new transformation of the Digitrix’s screen. It looked like Sunset, but with less curls, dressed in a while cloth, and had eight wings; four yellow angelic wings on her right side and four red demon wings on her left side. “Wow! Looks actually kinda cool.” Dustin said with a smirk. “So Pinkie wasn’t kidding when she said those forms were all female.” Sunset said, making Dustin look to her in shock. “She told told you that?” Dustin asked, a bit red. “Yeah. She even told me about the one made by AJ’s magic, especially the “choice in clothing”.” Sunset said, trying her best not to laugh. “God dammit Pinkie!” Dustin looked a way in embarrassment. “Oh, here’s your jacket, by the way.” Dustin handed Sunset her jacket, who graciously took it. “hey, Dustin?” Sunset asked, getting his attention. “Why have you been so nice to me after the fall formal. I mean I’ve sided with a lunatic out to get you, tried to take your watch, even threatened to rule both Equestria and Cyberspace.” As Sunset said tis, her eyes began to water. “And after all that, you showed me kindness when Twilight and the others beaten me.” Dustin felt a pain I n his chest when he saw Sunset tearing up, so he placed a hand on her shoulder, surprising her. “Because I’m a guy who believes in second chances. Sure, you did some awful stuff back then, but you were in a dark place.” As Dustin said this, Sunset was touched by each word. “You just needed someone to lead you down the right path.” And with that, Sunset wrapped her arms around him with a hug, sobbing her eyes out. Dustin only rubbed her back to calm her down. “Thank you,” Was all Sunset said as Dustin returned the hug.
