The girls drove onto the freeway as they were going across the country to get to their holiday destination. Sunset Shimmer drove the RV with Princess Twilight sitting beside her in the passenger seat, witnessing the scenery and wonderful views. At the back, Starlight Glimmer was telling her friends about her adventures she had in her home.
"Starlight Glimmer, have you had a road trip in your home?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"Yes I have, Rainbow." Said Starlight. "I once went on a long road trip with Trixie."
"Really? Where did you travel to with her?" Said Applejack.
While Starlight told her friends about her road trip with Trixie in her home, Princess Twilight was feeling relaxed.
"This feels sooooo relaxing!" She said to Sunset.
"I'm glad you're enjoying your vacation, Twilight." Said Sunset. "Isn't it nice to have a break from going through your books in your library?"
"It sorta does feel nice Sunset, but I can tell you how much I wanted a break." Twilight went on. "This is the perfect way to get out of the pony world and see different things!"
"I know that feeling, Twilight." Said Sunset.
Just then, the girls felt the RV was slowing down.
"Why are we slowing down?" Said Pinkie Pie. "Can't we go any faster?"
"Sunset, why is the RV going slow?" Rainbow asked.
"I think we're running low on fuel!" Said Susnet.
Just then, Rainbow Dash saw a gas station up ahead and had an idea.
"Turn right to that gas station!" She said.
"Alright, Rainbow." Said Sunset. "We might as well just stop her and fill up the RV before we keep driving any further."
And with that, Sunset turned the RV as it went right into the gas station. While they waited for the RV to get fueled up, Sci-Twi was puzzled.
"How long will it take for the RV to get fueled up?" She asked.
"It should take about 10 minutes to get refueled, it's such a large vehicle." Said Rarity.
"You know Twilight, this vacation is going very smoothly." Said Spike.
"You're right, Spike!" Said Sci-Twi. "I'm gonna go to the convenient store to buy some snacks just in case we get hungry."
"I can take care of Spike." Said Fluttershy.
As Sci-Twi went to the convenient store to collect some snacks, Princess Twilight went inside.
"Umm, excuse me?" She said. "Who am I supposed to call you?"
"If we share the same name, you might as well call me Sci-Twi." Said the other Twilight.
"You can call me Princess Twilight since I don't live in the human world." Said Princess Twilight. "I heard you're very good with science."
"Indeed I am!" Said Sci-Twi. "I'm just gonna buy some snacks in case we get hungry on the road."
"I can help you carry the snacks if you need another hand." Said Princess Twilight.
The two Twilight's were starting to get along each other when they brought the snacks. When they went inside the RV, it was time to leave.
"We got some snacks!" Said Princess Twilight. "Who's hungry?"
The girls were excited, they couldn't wait to eat some food as they had driven for hours. Then it was Sci-Twi's turn to sit in the passenger seat next to Sunset.
"Twilight with glasses, is it your turn to sit with me?" Asked Sunset.
"Yes, I might as well." Said Sci-Twi.
As they continued driving along the road, the girls noticed Starlight Glimmer was holding an ice-cream cone with a tower of flavors.
"Starlight Glimmer, where did you get that tall ice-cream?" Asked Pinkie Pie.
"I brought it in the store while we were at the gas station." Said Starlight.
"Can I please have one of those flavors?" Asked Rainbow Dash.
"Of course, there's always different flavors for everyone to share." Said Starlight.
And with that, everyone started sharing the tall ice-cream as it was getting hot outside. But Rarity didn't have any ice-cream, she was suspicious.
"I don't want the floor of my RV to get messy with THAT ice-cream!" She said.
"But it tastes so delicious!" Said Fluttershy. "Don't you want at least one flavor?"
"It'll help you cool you off, Rarity." Said Applejack.
"Ugh, fine!" Said Rarity. "I guess I could do with some ice-cream anyway."
Rarity licked one of the flavors and she noticed none of them didn't drop down onto the floor.
"Ooh! I guess these flavors don't melt at all!" She said.
The girls were having a lovely time sharing Starlight's ice-cream, even Princess Twilight was impressed.
"This ice-cream tastes the best!" She said. "Where did you get it from?"
"I got it from the convenient store while the RV was getting refueled." Said Starlight. "I LOVE ice-cream!"
It had been several hours when the girls were driving along the freeway. As the sun was setting, some of them started to get very hungry.
"I'm feeling hungry!" Said Pinkie Pie. "Can we go somewhere to eat?"
"I think I see a fancy restaurant up ahead!" Said Sci-Twi.
"Ooh! I love fancy restaurants!" Said Rarity.
"Alright everyone, we're turning right into the car park of the restaurant!" Said Sunset Shimmer.
When they parked the RV, they went inside the restaurant and were amazed.
"Wow! Look at this place!" Said Rainbow Dash. "There's a buffet where you can grab your own food, and an arcade spot! That is cool!"
"We're just gonna sit down and order our food so we can eat and continue driving." Said Sunset.
When all the girls sat down in their table, Rainbow Dash was eager to get to the arcade area.
"Sunset, can I please go to the arcade spot?" She asked.
"Okay Rainbow, but make sure you come back when the food is ready!" Said Sunset.
"Can I go to the arcade spot as well?" Asked Pinkie Pie.
"Yes Pinkie, you may." Said Sunset.
And with that, Pinkie and Rainbow raced to the arcade area.
"Sunset, are you sure this place has nice food?" Asked Starlight.
"Yes Starlight." Said Sunset. "Every restaurant has a variety of food that you can choose."
"Sci-Twi, what do you want to have?" Asked Princess Twilight.
"I don't know, Princess Twilight." Said Sci-Twi reading the menu. "Is there anything you want on the menu?"
"I'm not sure." Said Princess Twilight. "This menu has so many options, I just can't decide."
"It doesn't matter which food to choose, Twilights." Said Sunset. "I choose what we should eat."
Just then, a waiter arrived at the girls' table.
"Good evening ladies, how may I take your order?" He said.
"I would like to have some garden salad but don't put any salt or pepper!" Said Rarity.
"I would like to have some fried rice with a boiled egg." Said Fluttershy.
"I would like to have some well cooked steak with some chips." Said Applejack.
"I would like to have some garlic bread with a bit of lamb chops." Said Sunset Shimmer.
"I would like to have some spaghetti and meatballs." Said Starlight.
"I would like to have some hot and spicy seafood!" Said Rainbow Dash, as she bolted to the table with Pinkie.
"I would like to have some cupcakes!" Said Pinkie Pie.
"We don't serve cupcakes in this restaurant." Said the waiter.
"Is there anything else I can eat?" Pinkie asked politely.
"Why don't you check the menu, Pinkie?" Said Princess Twilight.
Pinkie looked in the menu, and decided what she would eat.
"I might as well have some french fries with cooked fish!" She went on.
"That's a good choice, Pinkie." Said Princess Twilight. "You can go back to the arcade with Rainbow Dash."
As Rainbow and Pinkie returned to the arcade, Sci-Twi found the perfect meal she would eat in a fancy restaurant.
"I know, I'll have a burger with some chips!" She said.
"Good thinking!" I would also like to have some garlic pizza with bread and cheese!" Princess Twilight said to the waiter.
"Alright, that's all of your orders." Said the waiter as he went to the kitchen. "Your meals will be ready within less than half an hour."
"Half an hour?" Said Fluttershy. "What am I supposed to do while I wait for my food?"
"Why don't you go to the arcade and play some games with Rainbow and Pinkie?" Said Applejack. "They're having a lot of fun!"
"If you have your phone my darling, you can play some games on it." Said Rarity.
"I guess I could." Said Fluttershy, as she played some games on her phone to help pass the time.
In the arcade, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were having a blast in the racing car game.
"I can't believe you beat me in that race, Pinkie!" Said Rainbow Dash.
"Cheer up, Rainbow!" Said Pinkie. "At least we can try another round before our food arrives."
Just then, the waiter started bringing the meals the girls ordered to their table.
"Dinner is served ladies, bon appétit!" He said.
"Rainbow! Pinkie! Dinner has arrived!" Sunset called to the arcade.
"Come on, Pinkie. Let's go!" Said Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow and Pinkie went back to their table as the girls were all eating their meals. They were hungry as their mouths chewed and swallowed on all types of food.
"This is a great restaurant!" Said Starlight Glimmer when she finished her spaghetti. "When are we having desert?"
"We're not having desert Starlight, we already had that ice-cream of yours while we were driving." Said Applejack.
"Wait, were you having ice-cream in the RV Starlight?" Asked Sunset.
"Yeah, I was so hungry I wanted to have some!" Explained Starlight.
That night, the girls left the restaurant and returned to the RV. Spike was pleased to see them, he didn't like waiting in the cold.
"Thank goodness you're all back!" Said Spike. "How was the restaurant?"
"It wasn't bad actually." Said Princess Twilight.
Once everyone was onboard, Sunset drove the RV out of the restaurant and back onto the freeway. This time, it was Starlight Glimmer's turn to sit in the passenger seat.
"Thanks for taking me on this road trip, Sunset!" She said. "I'm loving it already!"
"Glad you're liking it, Starlight." Said Sunset.
Just then, Sunset was starting to feel sleepy. Starlight could see that if she sleeps, the RV will crash.
"Sunset, wake up!" She cried.
"What's wrong?" Asked Sunset.
"You're getting a little sleepy, shouldn't you find a place to park the RV so we can all sleep?" Asked Starlight.
"You got a fair point Starlight." Said Sci-Twi. "Sunset, you have to find a nearby car park so you don't sleep while you drive."
"Alright Twilight, I'll find a place to park the RV so we can sleep." Said Sunset as she yawned.
Sunset found a car park, and they parked the RV in a perfect spot so the girls can go to sleep. Starlight Glimmer was trying out her new pajamas she got along for the trip. They were dark blue, short sleeved and have stars all over them.
"Do you like my pajamas?" She asked her friends.
"You look so cute wearing them!" Said Fluttershy.
"Where did you get them from?" Asked Applejack.
"I found a clothes shop next to the gas station, and I thought I'd let Rarity by a pair of pj's for me to wear while we sleep on our trip." Said Starlight.
"Think nothing of it, darling." Said Rarity. "I suggest we should have a well earned sleep before we continue driving tomorrow."
"Good night, everyone!" Sunset said to her friends.
And with that, everyone went to sleep before they could continue driving in the morning.
