//------------------------------// // A Rare Meeting // Story: The Warmhearted Ectotherm // by MightyShockwave //------------------------------// "A little oil..." she whispered to herself as she used her snake tail to reach all the way across the kitchen to grab a bottle of olive oil, splashing the leafy salad greens in a bowl to give them a savory coat. "A little pepper...some cherry tomatoes..." she continued, each one being grabbed by her incredibly dexterous tail and added to the bowl. Despite her initial period of being overwhelmed at the prospect of having a serpentine lower half, it had proved incredibly useful these past few days. The animals were less apprehensive about it than she had though (in fact, she could have swore she caught a look of jealousy from Antoine), and it allowed her to do her usual maintenance of the animal sanctuary in half the time. It freed up her entire afternoon, and she was going to spend it relaxing with a nice, hearty salad and some snazzy music on her record player. A sudden knocking on her door shook her out of her tranquil state. She had been too focused on making the salad to notice the rhythm of hoofsteps approaching her front door. Fluttershy wasn't expecting visitors today; her heart raced. She wanted to keep her lamia transformation escapades a secret, but she couldn't just ignore the knocking at her door. She quickly slithered into the living room, doing her best to bundle her massive bulk off to the side to hide it as best she could. It scared her just how quietly she was able to move all of her coils, silently gliding across the wooden floor. However, rather than dwelling on it, Fluttershy cracked open the front door a small amount, hiding most of her pony half while she peered out. "Rarity!" Fluttershy exclaimed upon seeing her guest. "Um...what are you doing here?" "Well, Fluttershy, darling," Rarity began, twirling her hoof in the air idly, "I was delivering an order to client nearby, and thought I'd drop in for a visit." "Oh, okay," Fluttershy said, staring at Rarity awkwardly. She didn't quite know what to say here; to invite her in would be embarrassing, but to NOT invite her in would be rude and not very friendly of her. "...Is something wrong? Perhaps I can help out?" Rarity said, trying to look behind Fluttershy, only for the yellow mare to not-so-subtly adjust herself to block Rarity's sight. "Nothing's wrong," Fluttershy said with a hint of dejection. She just couldn't think of a good solution to this little predicament. Though, perhaps Rarity would understand. She was a lamia for a while, and she enjoyed it. Perhaps she wouldn't be so apprehensive about it. "Um, can you keep a secret?" "Of course I can, Fluttershy. What's going on?" Rarity asked with an unmistakable hint of concern. Fluttershy sheepishly let the front door swing open, revealing the river of yellow scales that erupted from her midsection. Rarity's jaw dropped, and Fluttershy braced herself for a chastising tirade. But then, Rarity's mouth curled upwards into a beaming smile. "Oh, Fluttershy, did you drink some snake oil? I knew that sleazebag was in town again, but I didn't suspect you'd end up seeing him before I did," Rarity began, trotting past Fluttershy's pony half to inspect her friend's new form. "Um, well, not exactly..." Fluttershy said, her voice trailing off. Before she could properly explain, Rarity continued to interject. "Oh, darling, your scales are simply magnificent! The butterflies are a nice touch, though that might just be a part of the spell. I had quite the diamondback when I had a snake tail, if you remember," Rarity said. "Yeah, I remember," Fluttershy added. Fluttershy remembered the sheer beauty of Rarity's glimmering white and blue scales. Her diamond cutie mark had almost sparkled like the real thing whenever sunlight fell onto her scales. "...And my! Your coils! They're so robust! You're quite longer than I was, and a bit thicker too. I hope it's not too much of a hassle," Rarity said, her eyes dancing across the neatly piled mounds of Fluttershy's serpentine body. "Actually, they're no trouble at all. In fact, being long definitely has its perks," Fluttershy said, slowly feeling her confidence return to her as Rarity continued to pour admiration. She was afraid that Rarity was going to say that it was foolish or stupid to undergo such a drastic transformation for simple pleasure. Quite the contrary, it seemed, Rarity was wholly supportive of Fluttershy's indulgence, which gave her enough courage to animate her serpentine form. The massive bands and loops began to shift and slither around, sprawling themselves out on the floor as Fluttershy relaxed. As a segment drew close to Rarity, she tenderly touched it with her hoof, feeling the sublime silky texture of scales on her frog, and pressing in to better feel the sheer mass of muscle shifting beneath the loose snakeskin. "Ha ha...that tickles," Fluttershy said with a muted giggle, recoiling the segment away from Rarity's touch. "Oh, I am sorry, I know just how sensitive they can be. Why I remember when I first coiled up Twilight, I could feel every detail of her body. There was something about it that was just so pleasant. Tell me, Fluttershy, have you coiled anypony yet?" Rarity asked with bright, inquisitive eyes. "Me? Oh...um..not really...I've only been like this for a couple of days," Fluttershy replied. Rarity gasped. "Oh, you simply MUST try it! There's nothing quite like it. Here, I'll be your volunteer," she continued, promptly trotting up to Fluttershy's thickest section and sitting on it. This elicited an eep of protest from its owner, but, after a few seconds, Fluttershy felt just how warm Rarity was. It was like she had suddenly been aware of the chill and lethargy that hummed along her massive length. She had noticed that she felt more energy when she had been out in her animal sanctuary, but she didn't think that simply being indoors would be detrimental to her new cold-blooded metabolism. The wooden floor just seemed so cold and sterile compared to sun-baked stone and soil. "Now, try bring the end of your tail to my midsection, and start looping around. Just be mindful of my ma-WHAAA!" Rarity was cut off by the section she was sitting on quickly curling up and around her middle, making her tilt backwards as the new weight destabilized her. Just as she began to fall, the coil around her squeezed tightly, gripping her firmly as she was spun around to allow a second loop to wrap around her, thick enough to smother her entire barrel and neck region to the point where the bottom of her jaw rested on the plush, rippling muscle. Her legs instinctively kicked, only for a loop to quickly curl around her flanks and cannons, immediately snuffing out her struggling. "Oh no, I'm sorry!" Fluttershy said with worry. For a moment, her mind had slipped into autopilot mode. She never imagined that her coils would be capable of such blinding speed. The whole thing lasted a mere two seconds, so fast that Fluttershy was barely able to react to what her body was doing until Rarity was completely buried in a mound of yellow scales. "I just thought about it, and it just happened!" "It's fine, Fluttershy, I'm not harmed...though my mane might need some touching up before I leave," Rarity said trying to crane her head around to look at her new captor. She then looked down as her scaly bindings...at least, until her chin was stopped by a barrier of snake muscle. It cradled her jaw like a pillow, and Rarity had to settle for simply trying to shift her limbs around to gauge just how trapped she was. Even barely gripping her, the sheer size and strength of Fluttershy's coils prevented much movement, and she was barely able to wiggle her limbs even an inch. "Ha ha...Rarity...that tickles...you're gonna make me..." Fluttershy said, trying to keep a straight face before she could resist her reflexes no longer and tightened Rarity's scaly tomb, making the white mare moan as her body was compressed from a tidal wave of pressure before loosening once Rarity's limbs were still. "Ooof...Fluttershy...you're quite strong..." Rarity said, trying to catch her breath after it had just been forced out of her lungs. "Here, let's get you out," Fluttershy continue, moving her pony half much closer to Rarity. "No no, I'm fine. You didn't hurt me, and besides, this actually feels quite pleasant. I can see why Twilight found so many excuses to experiment with my own lamia form," Rarity said, letting herself relax in Fluttershy's cushiony grip. "You...like it?" Fluttershy said, a little dumbfounded. Then again, she couldn't find much reason to complain. Rarity was right; having a pony in her coils was unlike anything that she had ever felt before. She was just so...warm. Rarity's body heat bled into her serpentine muscles, filling them with a bubbly euphoria that was completely unknown to the equine mind. It became instantly clear why Antoine loved slithering around her whenever she visited the sanctuary. She couldn't help but slowly close in, not to constrict like she had done before, but to make Rarity completely snug. Fluttershy felt completely aware of every twitch, every contour, every rise and fall of Rarity's barrel as she took deep, calm breaths. Rarity was right, Fluttershy thought, her scales were quite sensitive, and being able to feel her friend so totally was a close experience that teetered on the edge of intimacy. "Well...I...um...I think it feels good too..." "Mmm...I didn't imagine spending my afternoon in coils, but I certainly won't complain," Rarity said, closing her eyes and reveling in the feeling of Fluttershy's serpentine muscles slowly molding around her body, eager to seize every contour. "I do hope I wasn't interrupting anything." "Oh, no, I was just making lunch when you trotted up," Fluttershy replied, her gaze finally turning back towards her kitchen. She was thankful that she hadn't added the vinegar dressing yet, or else she'd have a bowl full of soggy leaves to munch on! "Oh, I'm dreadfully sorry, perhaps we can do this some other time?" Rarity said. "No! I...I mean, it's fine," Fluttershy said. the thought of losing Rarity's warmth so soon was almost unthinkable. To be given this gracious gift, only to have it yanked away made her heart sink. "Well, I could use a light salad, if you have spare veggies," Rarity said, not particularly wanting to leave Fluttershy's tight embrace either. "Oh, of course I do, here, let me make you something," Fluttershy replied, smiling as she slithered into the kitchen, Rarity bundled in tow like a filly with her doll.
