Rainbow's Dress

by The Dark Wolf

Food Fight

Rainbow Dash knocked on Pinkie's door. She had run here from her house in her black dress so she was sweating quite a bit. Even her dress was a little damp.

Pinkie Pie answered, wearing a pink and white T-shirt and short, tight jean shorts. "Hi Rainbow Dash! Ready for our food fight?"

"You bet I am!" said Rainbow. Usually she'd wear a sportier outfit for food fights with Pinkie, like the one she had worn mud wrestling with Rarity, but she wanted to wear her dress this time, and get another bath from Rarity.

Pinkie led Rainbow into her food fight room. There was an assortment of pies and cakes, bottles of whip cream, ketchup, and syrup, bowls of ice cream, and small plastic bags full of frosting, effective as water balloons.

"There won't be any hard feelings about getting your dress all messy, will there?" Pinkie asked.

"None whatsoever." Rainbow smiled.

"Then we start on three. One... two... three!"

On three, Rainbow Dash took a bag of chocolate frosting and threw it at Pinkie. It splattered all over the front of her shirt. Pinkie grinned, picked up a pie, and threw it. It hit Rainbow Dash in the face. Some of the pie's filling got on the top of her dress.

Pinkie threw a bag of vanilla frosting at Rainbow, covering the front of her dress. Rainbow lobbed a cake with chocolate frosting at Pinkie. It landed on her head and collapsed over her. Pinkie licked all the cake off her face, then picked up some ice cream out of the bowls and threw it at Rainbow. Rainbow took a bottle of butterscotch syrup and sprayed Pinkie with it. Pinkie in turn sprayed Rainbow with chocolate syrup. They ran around a bit as they did this - but neither was really making an effort to try to dodge.

When Pinkie ran out of frosting, she bent down to pick up a pie off the floor. Rainbow picked up a bag of chocolate frosting and threw it at Pinkie's rear end, splattering all over the back of her shorts. She let out a squeal, but giggled and threw the pie at Rainbow, hitting her mid section.

Rainbow threw a few scoops of ice cream at Pinkie, as Pinkie threw a cake with rainbow frosting and a bag of vanilla frosting at Rainbow Dash. Pinkie then picked up a bottle of ketchup and sprayed Rainbow with it as Rainbow sprayed her with a bottle of strawberry syrup. Both were laughing as they got more and more soaked.

And then when they ran out, they threw the rest of the ice cream, frosting, and pies at each other, before picking up the bottles of whip cream, having saved them for when they were almost out of everything else, and sprayed each other relentlessly with them. Neither could keep herself from being covered with whip cream - but then neither really wanted to, they were having so much fun.

Eventually, there was nothing left to throw or spray each other with. Rainbow and Pinkie stood, panting. Both were completely covered from head to toe in whip cream, frosting, pie filling, syrup, ketchup, and melted ice cream.

"That was fun!" said Pinkie.

"You can say that again," said Rainbow. "I can't even tell who won." There was not a single clean spot on either of them.

"Let's call it a tie. Now, time to clean up!"

Pinkie ate most of the stuff laying on the floor, which she made sure was in pristine condition before the food fight began. Rainbow helped her mop up what remained, but they stayed in their messy state.

"Wanna have something to eat?" Pinkie asked.

"Sure," said Rainbow. "I'd love a cider, too."

Pinkie led Rainbow to the dining room. Rainbow walked towards the nearest chair. Just before she sat down, Pinkie put a cake with vanilla frosting on the chair. Rainbow's eyes went wide as she sat on the cake, then she chuckled. "Good one, Pinkie!"

Pinkie got Rainbow a slice of another cake with chocolate frosting, and a glass of cider, before setting the rest of the cake on her own chair and sitting down. Rainbow ate the cake and guzzled down the cider, spilling a bit of it down her front. Pinkie giggled at this.

Eventually, Rainbow stood up. The cake hardly made a difference, as her dress was already completely saturated. "This was really fun, but I'd better get going."

"Want me to rinse you off with the hose?" Pinkie asked.

"Nah, I'll have Rarity give me a bath. She and I both really enjoy it."

"Have fun, Dashie!"

Rainbow ran to Rarity's house as fast as she could. She knocked on the door, and Rarity answered, wearing short skintight purple shorts and a matching sports bra, for it was a hot summer day.

"Good heavens, what happened?" Rarity asked upon noticing Rainbow's state.

"Food fight with Pinkie," said Rainbow.

"I should have known. You really need a bath, Dashie."

"That's what I'm here for."

"To tell you the truth, I was so hoping you'd get your dress dirty again, because this time I want to try something a little different."

"What, now?"

"While I was going for a walk with Applejack the other day, I tripped and fell in the mud. Applejack was a sweetheart and said she'd get me cleaned up, and I told her about your bath. She liked the idea of that and gave me a bath in my muddy dress outside in a wooden tub. She gave me a wooden tub in case you ever wanted to try it."

"Sure, that sounds fun."

Rarity and Rainbow Dash entered Rarity's backyard. A wooden tub sat in the center, fairly small but big enough for a person to bathe in. Rarity turned on the hose and filled the tub with warm, soapy water. Rainbow removed her shoes, but before she could step into the tub, Rarity picked her up and threw her in the tub with a splash.

"A little warning next time?" Rainbow said, in a sitting position with her knees bent, as the tub was a little too small to sit with her legs outstretched.

"That's just how Applejack did it," said Rarity. "It wasn't too rough, was it?"

"Eh, it was kind of fun."

Rarity poured a bucket of water over Rainbow's head and scrubbed her hair with shampoo as she had done before, and then scrubbed her top half, especially her dress, vigorously with soap. Rainbow wasn't sure which was more fun - this or a regular bathtub. Once Rainbow's top half was clean and covered in suds, she got on all fours so Rarity could scrub her lower half, which required a little less work as her legs and the lower part of her dress had already been submerged. Once Rainbow's legs and butt were covered in suds, she sat back down with her feet on the edge of the tub. Rarity, anticipating what was to come, scrubbed Rainbow's feet with soap, tickling her and causing her to splash and soak Rarity through. Rarity didn't mind, it was kind of refreshing on this hot day.

Once Rarity was done, she said "Now step out of the tub and I will rinse you off."

Rainbow did as she was told, mostly covered in suds. Rarity sprayed her with the hose, rinsing her completely. Rainbow closed her eyes and enjoyed the refreshing spray of the hose as it blasted her full force.

When she was done, Rainbow was sparkly clean and soaking wet. She did a hair flip, causing drops of water to fly from her hair, and sighed in satisfaction. Rarity loved the way the wetness made the dress shimmer, and how the water was dripping from the skirt. The beauty of this could even rival her own wet hair, she thought.

"How did you like that?" Rarity asked.

"I loved it," said Rainbow.

"So did I," said Rarity. "Next time I'm hanging out with Applejack I might deliberately fall into the mud so she can do it again."

"Go for it," said Rainbow Dash. "And I'm pretty sure Applejack likes it." She winked, and Rarity blushed lightly with a smile.

Rainbow put her shoes back on, left Rarity's backyard, and went for a walk in the park, letting the sun dry her. Just as the last dampness on her dress faded, she noticed a large mud puddle. Rainbow grinned, ran towards the mud, and jumped.
