Mew was still in Ghetsis's clutches. Trying everything to break free. Ghetsis was stopping it from transforming, it even tried to bite him but that was no good. Ghetsis had arrived at a small secret base he and the rest of Team Plasma set up and formed. They ditched the underground base where Emerald Aura and Cold Colt where.
"We have Mew." Ghetsis tossed Mew on the floor as it was encased in a cage. Mew transformed into a Golurk, trying to break free, however, the cage was made specifically for a Pokemon like Mew.
"I remember the old story from a few years ago. About what happened back at Kanto. Team Rocket managed to find a bit of your DNA and created Mewtwo. Don't worry. We won't be doing that. We'll be doing something far greater. You being the ancestor of all Pokemon means that you have all moves. So. I'm taking them, and giving them all to my Hydreigon."
"M-Mew?!"
"Colress. You are right when you say that its DNA can be transferred to me, correct?"
"Do you doubt me still, Lord Ghetsis? Mew's DNA dates back to the beginning of the world. Hydregion is one of the many Pokemon related to Mew, somehow, which means that Mew's DNA is linked to them. With this DNA mixer, all of Mew's genetics will be transferred to another. Giving them access to Pokemon Moves that it could never originally learn. Science truly is limitless isn't it?"
"Hmph. You know how to convince me, Colress. Then. Let's not waste time. Startup the DNA Mixer.
"Understood, Lord Ghetsis." The grunts replied. The cages had small little tendrils that wrapped around Mew. Another tendril wrapped around Hydreigon's 3 heads. arm as they were both linked now.
"Start it up."
Team Plasma had started up the DNA Mixer a small portable device that Colress came up with. Nothing too huge and recognizable. Mew felt a powerful shock go through it was in agonizing pain. All of its energy was being pulled from it suddenly. Hydreigon could feel this energy pouring from within him.
"M-MEW!"
"Yes! Excellent! A Millenium of Pokemon pouring through me!" Ghetsis thought that if he was going to be successful, he'd need more than Pokemon. In fact, why not be similar to a Pokemon. Mew was drained as it passed out on the ground. The tendrils moved away from both of them as Ghetsis felt like a changed man.
"Did it work?" A grunt asked.
"Let's see. Hydregion. Use Giga Drain." Hydreigon was now able to use moves that it could never use or even learn. All of the moves were at its disposal. It drained Mew of its energy by biting one of its heads onto Mew. The little Pokemon was already drained of its DNA, so this was hurting it even more. "Oh yes. It worked. The moves of all Pokemon belong to me now!"
"Not all. Hydreigon only has 15% of its DNA." Colress explained
"Then, we'll take it all out. But even this won't be enough. I've learned not to underestimate others. Even this pretty colorful world of ponies. So we'll need more to prepare ourselves in case everything goes awry."
"What do you suggest then?" Colress asked.
"A contingency plan of course. If everything goes awry, we will have an ace in the hole to grant us victory. I want NO failures!"
"Understood."
"Now. We will continue the next phase of our plan. Colress. Get me information of various moves. As for you Meloetta. I still haven't forgotten my plan for you."
"Melo..."
"Lord Ghetsis. What do we do about Mew?" A grunt asked.
"Who cares? It's useless now. Toss it away." Ghetsis replied.
"Understood."
Ghetsis was not one to mess around. Compared to the other threats of the Pokemon World, he was the biggest. There was no one more cruel and evil than Ghetsis.
At Canterlot, it was currently night. Celestia had an awful nightmare. What she was Ghetsis himself. This was more than just a nightmare. It was a premonition as well. What she saw was all of Equestria, even the entire world, conquered by a single man as Ghetsis stood there with his signature Hydregion.
Celestia woke up, gasping at what she saw. Passion woke up to it as Luan quickly ran to her sister's room, seeing her nightmare.
"You saw it too, didn't you sister?" Luna said.
"Y-Yes. That was horrible."
"That was more than just a nightmare, sister. A premonition is what it really was."
"A premonition? So that might happen..."
"Indeed. Whoever that strange human and Pokemon were, they are a monstrous threat to us all. More so than anything Equestria has and will ever face."
"We have to stop this. Before it becomes a reality."
"If we knew where this individual was or when they'll show up."
"Then this is a situation that requires everypony's coordination. In the morning, we will make a grand announcement for all of Equestria to hear. Everypony from every country and continent will also receive it."
"Kirlia..?"
"Passion. I know you can feel it too. This is something that might be beyond even us."
Morning came as all ponies gathered up to hear this announcement. Twilight was summoned to be with the princess, as Celestia had to tell her about the premonition.
"What is it, Princess Celestia? What could be so important that everypony be here?"
"I had a premonition Twilight."
"A premonition?!"
"Some ponies can see into the future when they dream. Essentially foreshadowing future events." Luna explained.
"What I saw was horrible. It was only for a split-second, but it was the worst-case scenario. I saw all of Equestria, conquered by a single individual. A human and his Pokemon. I couldn't make out the rest, but I know what I saw."
"So then, where is this guy?"
"We don't know. He could be anywhere. That's why we must keep watch over all of Equestria. Including other countries. This threat is larger than life."
"Larger... than life?"
"Twilight. This is one problem that I advise you to stay out of. It is beyond even you."
"But, what if I can help? Me and my friends will be able to help like we always do!"
"I know. But it's just... this premonition is unlike anything I've ever felt before. I don't want you getting hurt. None of your friends." Celestia was genuinely worried for Twilight. Never before has Celestia been so worried in her life. "If it comes down it, you and your friends will join in."
"I understand."
Celestia, Luna and Twilight walked out to the balcony to give the announcement.
"Citizens of Equestria. We thank you for being here. We have summoned you all here because of a premonition I have had. A great disaster is closing in on us." When Celestia said that they all started to worry about this great disaster. "I know everypony is worried. I am too. This is something greater than any threat Equestria has faced or will ever face in the future. We will all have to work together to be careful. If I am to have this premonition again, I can give the full details on who this mysterious human and Pokemon are."
"In the meantime. All must stay cautious. If you are to see anything irregular, we advise you to rush towards Canterlot and warn the guards." Luna said.
"We do not know when this disaster will arrive. So for now, keep caution at all times." Celestia finished off as she and Luna walked off.
"What do you think it may be?" A pony chattered.
"It can't be just one human and Pokemon, it has to be more." A woman replied.
"What if they've been in front of our faces this whole time!" Panic was stirring up in others as they grew weary of this apparent disaster. Twilight had walked out to her friends who were waiting.
"Twilight. What do you think of this?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know. But Princess Celestia said that we shouldn't get involved."
"Why not?" Pinkie Pie said.
"This is greater than us all. Beyond us. You heard what she said. It's a beyond anything Equestria has ever faced. And she doesn't want us getting hurt in the process."
"Well, when you put it like that..." Fluttershy mumbled.
"We have to stay out of this one, girls. It might be for the best."
Ponyville, Pokemon House.
"Aw, do you have to go Dawn?"
"Pika.."
"No need to worry, Ash. I'm only going to the contests that just got made in Johto. Besides, we have the gateways. We can see each other easily."
"Piplup."
"Oh yeah.. hehe right."
"I'll see you all around. Bye Pikachu! Bye Ash! Bye Brock! By everyone!" Dawn waved goodbye to all the Pokemon at the Pokemon House and everyone as she walked off, heading to the nearest rift.
"By the way. I wonder what everyone was called to Canterlot for?"
"Probably something major. We could've gone." Brock replied.
"Pikachu."
Fluttershy had returned back to Pokemon House as Pikachu went over to greet her.
"Oh. Hello Pikachu. Nice to see you." Pikachu jumped on her head.
"So. How'd it go? What was it about?" Brock asked.
"It was of a great disaster that is coming. Everypony needs to stay where they are until Celestia and Luna solve it."
"Great disaster, huh?"
"Pika-Pika.."
"Well. Better not worry about it too much. If the sisters have got it then we can just relax right?"
"Pikachu!"
"You're right, Ash. By the way, I want to ask you something."
"What is it?"
"It's about what Twilight feared back with the Munna situation. Remember? She's afraid that once both worlds return to normal, our friendship will disappear. Like it was never meant to exist and it was all fake."
"Yeah, I learned about it. She's still kinda worried about it."
"Well. It has me worried too. Will you forget us when the Rift leaves?"
"Are you kidding? You all are my best friends. Even if we return back to our worlds, I'll never forget you guys. All of you. You've shown me a world that I never thought existed. And I can't wait to learn more about it. There's still so much more I wanna see. And I want to see it with you all, ya know?" Ash smiled along with Pikachu.
"Yeah. You said it!" Fluttershy hugged Ash as he petted her head.
"Hmph. You always know what to say, Ash." Brock smiled.
The Ghetsis disaster may be one that will shake the foundation of Equestria, and they may leave each other once the Rift is done. But the bond that was created here will always last. And it will continue to grow.
