"Eren. You're a man," said his mother. "Show some restraint! You need to be there for Mikasa, too!"
“STOP IT NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” cried Eren.
Back in the present, Eren gasped in horror at the same Titan that ate his mother had returned after five years. The Smiling Titan started to head towards Eren, Mikasa, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash.
Elsewhere, The Armored Titan desperately hurled some Titan that were surrounding him to the Scouts.
"Damn that Reiner!" hissed Jean. "He's tossing Titans like a madman!"
The Armored Titan then hurled another Titan near Erwin's position. Once the Titan landed, it started to chase after Erwin. Ymir's Titan the spotted Erwin in the distance and started to charge towards the Titan chasing him.
"This is all your fault!" she thought. "It's you who screwed up my entire plan, you damn commander!"
Ymir's Titan then pounced on the Titan, causing Erwin to be dismounted from his horse. As Ymir's Titan pinned down the Titan, Historia, Conny, Lemon Zest, Pinkie Pie, and Sasha galloped next to Ymir's Titan.
"Ymir!" called Historia. "Lemon Zest, that way!"
"I see!" shouted Lemon Zest.
At Erwin's position, Erwin stand up while a Scouts was running towards him.
"Commander!" called the Scout.
"I can always be replaced," said Erwin. "More importantly, find Eren and retreat! Time is of the essence!"
Erwin looked up and saw the Scout that was running towards him had his head bitten off. Erwin can only was as the Titan devoured the Scout in front of him.
Elsewhere, the Smiling Titan continued to head towards Eren, Mikasa, Rainbow, and Applejack. Eren can only stand still was look in horror.
"Holy shit, that is the most disturbing Titan I ever seen," said Rainbow Dash.
"You said it," spoke Applejack.
"Eren!" called Mikasa, pushing him out of the way and grabbing on to Applejack.
The Smiling Titan the swiped towards the four, then Hannes came to their side and intercepted the swipe.
"Hannes!" called Eren.
"What in Sam Hill are you doin'?" asked Applejack. "This is crazy!"
Hannes then pushed the hand off and sliced the thumb of the Smiling Titan. He looked back at the four, full of courage and confidence.
"What are the odds of this?!" he laughed. "Check it out, you four! You just watch! I'm about avenge your mother Eren and fucking butcher the shit out of this!"
Hannes fired a hook at the Smiling Titan's ribs and swung towards it, dodging one of its swipes.
"Hannes!" called Eren.
In the distance, Jean, Armin, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Sour Sweet, Sunny Flare, Sugarcoat, and Indigo Zap galloped towards the four to assist.
"Give the old man backup!" shouted Jean.
Then, Jean looked up and saw a 15-meter Titan hurling towards them. All of them stopped and looked to their left.
"For crying out loud!" shouted Indigo Zap.
"Reiner? What's he doing?!" wondered Armin. "Does he care if Eren is eaten?!"
"Don't get in our way, you big sack of shit!" shouted Jean.
Armin, Jean, and the other girls started to gallop towards the Titans that the Armored Titan had hurled at them.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, Ymir's Titan bit down on a smaller Titan's head and cleanly decapitated, spitting the head into the air.
"Ymir!" called Historia.
Ymir's Titan looked at Historia, who was still riding on Lemon Zest's horse. Inside the nape of Ymir's Titan, Ymir looked furious with the turnout of the situation.
"Dammit... What am I supposed to do?" wondered Ymir. "If I can't count on Reiner, should I cooperate with the Scouts and try to survive?"
Ymir's Titan continued to chase Lemon Zest, Conny, Sasha, and Historia.
"But what happens after that? Even if I can somehow live through all this... there's no avoiding the hell that's to come trapped inside the walls. Now's my chance to hand Historia over to their side! I won't be able to protect her alone, no matter how hard I try."
Historia the fired a hook and landed on the side of Ymir's Titan's head.
"Christa!" called Conny.
"My name is Historia," she corrected. "Hey, Ymir... Why was it you were trying to take me away? You said it was to save yourself, but was that a lie? No... it has to be. Why? Why did you do it?"
Ymir's Titan answered in some grumbles and growls, but Historia managed to figure out what she is saying?
"For me?" asked Historia. "To protect me again?"
"There's a Titan!" shouted Conny.
Historia looked in front of her and saw a Titan heading towards them.
"Ymir... You're the one who said it, so listen to yourself!" shouted Historia. "Stop living for other people! From now on, let's live for nobody but ourselves! It's strange, really... When I'm with you, no matter how screwed up it gets... I'm not afraid!"
Historia fired a hook at the incoming Titan and leaped off, reeling forwards. Ymir’s titan charged forwards, sounding out a roar. Conny couldn’t take it any longer, galloping back to their fight. Sasha, Pinkie Pie, and Lemon Zest followed too.
Back at Eren's position, Hannes reeled towards the Smiling Titan and clipped part of its hand. The Smiling Titan then started to follow Hannes. On the ground, Mikasa tried to stand up, but she couldn't bear the pain.
"Don't, Mikasa!" called Eren. "You're injured! Untie my hands!"
"Hands?!"
"Hurry up!" Eren demanded. "I've gotta be the one to do it!"
"Who said I was done with you?!" shouted Hannes, clipping the Achilles tendon.
Mikasa sliced the cloth that wrapped Eren's hands. Once freed, Eren stood up and looked the Smiling Titan.
"Eren!" called Mikasa. "Wait! We're trying to get you out of here!"
"Don't risk it!" shouted Rainbow Dash.
"It's time to settle the score!" declared Eren. "Just watch!"
Eren then bit down on his hand, hard enough to draw blood, but no light or lightning bolt came crashing down. Eren was in shock that he wasn't able to transform.
Elsewhere in the battlefield, Erwin stood back up, while the Scouts were busy protecting him from any incoming Titans.
"Commander!" called a Scout. "The Armored one is coming!"
Erwin looked back and sure enough, the Armored Titan was back on his feet. The only thing that was surrounding him was some smaller Titans. The Armored Titan then grabbed a smaller one the was on his right leg and hurled it to the side.
The Titan that was hurled to the side was soaring towards Armin, Jean, and the other girls. Armin looked up and saw the Titan about to land on top of Jean and the others.
"Jean!" called Armin. "Girls!"
Jean and the girls looked back, unaware of the Titan. Once the Titan crashed to the ground causing rocks and dirt to fly up and causing Jean, Twilight Sparkle, Indigo Zap, Sour Sweet, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom to dismount their horses. All of them tumbled on the ground in different directions, each of them having injuries to their head and making them unconscious.
"Jean! Girls!" called Armin, getting off his horse.
Starlight Glimmer, Sunny Flare, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Sugarcoat, Fluttershy, and Sunset Shimmer got off their horses and when to the ones that were dismounted from the horse. All of them dragged their unconscious body to a remote area.
Back at Eren's position, Hannes continued to battle with Smiling Titan, while Eren was desperately biting his hand, unable to transform. Every bite he took, more blood would be pouring down from his bites.
"Shit! Shit! What's wrong?!" shouted Eren, tearing off some skin.
Mikasa, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack cringed at the sound of the skin ripping and the sound of teeth clamping on the muscle was sickening to them.
"Eren," called Mikasa.
Armin was holding on to Jean's unconscious body, while the rest of the girls were near Armin, but were separated by the Titans. Armin desperately tried to wave off the Titan with his sword. The only one who didn't have an unconscious body was Fluttershy, who was inexperience with combat. She tried to copy what Armin was doing, which stall the Titan.
Back at Erwin's position, the Armored Titan tossed the last Titan on his leg to the side and started to take off. Peer sliced a Titan's nape that was in front of Erwin. Erwin then looked to his right to see a Titan grabbing someone.
"Commander!" shouted Peer.
With aloud crunch, the Titan bit down on Peer and tore Peer in half, spraying blood in the air.
Back at the battle with the Smiling Titan, Hannes reeled towards the Smiling Titan, slicing the Achilles tendon, causing it to fall. Hannes smiled as he gain the upper hand, but his smile quickly died as the Smiling Titan grabbed him in mid-air. Mikasa, Eren, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack were in complete shock and could only watch in horror. With no time to lose, Eren desperately clamp down on his hand.
"Come on... fucking transform goddammit! Don't let this be for nothing!"
Hannes squirmed around, desperately trying to escape. The Smiling Titan then opened its mouth and placed his legs. Mikasa, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Eren can only watch in horror as Hannes was bitten half, spraying blood. Eren could only watch in horror as the Smiling Titan started to devour Hannes. Eren then collapsed to the ground in anguish and tears started to welled up in his eyes.
Eren started laughing as tears streamed down his eyes.
"Eren..." muttered Mikasa.
"Nothing changed!" cried Eren. "You haven't changed one bit, goddammit! You're still as useless as you ever were! NOTHING CHANGE!!!"
Eren continued to screamed. Mikasa hearing Eren caused tears to well up. Seeing Hannes getting devoured caused Rainbow to look away and tears welled up in her eyes.
"Mom..." Eren whimpered. "I... can't... I still... can't do anything at all."
"Eren," cooed Mikasa. "That's not true."
Eren, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack looked at Mikasa as she gave Eren a nervous, but honest and hopeful smile. Above them, the smiling titan set its sights back on the four.
"Eren," spoke Mikasa as she leaned closer, tears welling in her eyes. "Listen... I need to tell you something. You've always... been at my side. Thank you. You showed me... how to live with purpose. Thank you. And you... You wrapped this scarf around me. Thank you."
Mikasa leaned forwards even further, surprising Applejack and Rainbow Dash to a point where they didn’t even notice the Smiling Titan kneeling back down towards them. Eren then stood up and faced the Smiling Titan once again.
"I'll wrap that around you... as many times as you want," said Eren. "Now and forever... As much as you want!"
As the Smiling Titan reached towards Eren, Eren's hands had fully regenerated. Eren clenched his fist and lets out loud yell as he threw a punch at the Smiling Titan's hand. Then, Reiner, Bertholdt, and Ymir heard Eren screaming. The Titan behind them started to run towards them. Eren lets out another loud scream and threw a punch in the air.
The Titan behind them leaped over the four and pounced on the Smiling Titan, surprising him.
"What the hell did you do?!" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I don't know," said Eren.
Then, the Titans that were in the field started to run towards the area where Eren, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Mikasa. The Titan that was harassing Armin and the girls then started to follow the other Titans, surprising them all.
"What's going on?!" asked Sunset Shimmer.
"At least we didn't become Titan dinner," said Starlight Glimmer.
All the Titan then pounced on the Smiling Titan and started to tear it apart piece by piece and started to devour the Smiling Titan. Everyone watched in amazement at the sight of the Titans' behavior. With all the Titans distracted, Eren picked up Mikasa and Rainbow Dash carried Applejack and started running away from the Titans.
"Why... are they...?" asked Mikasa "They're eating it?"
"Well I'll be," said Applejack.
"That was truly awesome!" squeed Rainbow Dash.
Conny, Historia, pinkie Pie, Lemon Zest, and Sasha watched the Titans devouring the Smiling Titan from a distance.
"I dunno what's happening, but now's our chance!" shouted Conny.
"Hurry let's get out of here!" shouted Sasha.
"Right!" replied Historia.
Inside of Ymir's Titan, Ymir could only watch in amazement and shock at the Titans.
"So Eren was really... No wonder why Reiner wanted to kidnap him so badly," thought Ymir. "That means, even inside the walls, there is a future."
As Eren and Rainbow Dash were carrying Mikasa and Applejack, to their right the Armored Titan started to run towards them. The four spotted them from a distance.
"I can't believe it," Reiner thought. "How did the Coordinate fall right into the lap of the worst person to have it? We have to get it back. I can say without a doubt that you are the last person in the world I ever want to have that power, Eren!"
Eren stopped in his tracks and looked at the Armored Titan.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE COME CLOSER!!!" demanded Eren. "I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU BOTH!!!"
Then, Reiner and Bertholdt heard the same roar again. To the left of the Armored Titan, the Titans that were devouring the Smiling Titan redirected their attention to the Armored Titan. The horde started to charge towards him. The Armored Titan stopped and looked back to see the horde.
"This is bad! Bertholdt" thought Reiner. "I can't keep Bertholdt safe!"
"What are the Titans..." wondered Eren.
"Eren!" called Armin, galloping towards the four. "Get on!"
"Hey, Rainbow!" called Starlight Glimmer. "Take this and let's get outta here!"
"Armin!" called Eren. "Where are the rest of the girls!"
"They went on ahead," said Starlight. "Hurry!"
"Don't let this chance escape!" shouted Erwin, standing up. "Retreat!"
Everyone started to gallop away from the Armored Titan and the horde of Titans. On the Armored Titan's shoulder, Bertholdt desperately swing his sword at the Titans, trying to keep them at bay. Ymir's Titan was following Historia, until she stopped and looked back at the Armored Titan.
"Ymir!" called Historia.
"Hey, ugly!" called Conny. "What are you doing?! We're going home!"
"What is she doing?" wondered Lemon Zest.
Ymir’s Titan turned to Historia and gently caressed her face with her finger.
"Sorry..." gurgled Ymir's Titan.
Historia looked up to Ymir’s Titan in shock, unsure of why she said such a thing. At that moment, Ymir’s Titan broke off into a run towards the Armored Titan and Bertholdt.
"Ymir! Where are you going?!" shouted Historia.
"Stay here!" shouted Conny.
"But Ymir is..." objected Historia.
Back at the Armored Titan, Bertholdt screamed as a Titan was getting closer to him. Then, Ymir's Titan pushed the Titan back down. Bertholdt and Reiner were equally surprised at Ymir appearing to help them. As Ymir's Titan started help the Armored Titan and Bertholdt, Historia, Conny, Pinkie Pie, and Lemon Zest can watch as they leave her with the two warriors.
As the sun started to set, the allied soldier started to gallop back towards the wall. As the soldiers were heading back, Armin could only wonder why Ymir that left them and stayed with Reiner and Bertholdt.
"I didn't understand why Ymir stayed behind," thought Armin. "But the Armored Titan stopped chasing us after that."
As Armin continued to wonder, Eren could only remember the good times with Hannes back in peaceful times.
At night, the two warriors and Ymir arrived at the ruins of Shiganshina and all sat on top of the wall, extremely exhausted from their battle.
"Ymir... Why did you come with us?" asked Reiner.
"That would be... because I'm a goddamn idiot" replied Ymir. "I'll be your trophy to take back home. I'm sure you can go empty-handed."
"Ymir," muttered Bertholdt.
"If you hadn't come to break through the wall, I never would have woken up from that nightmare," said Ymir. "All I'm doing... is returning what I borrowed back then. I bet the only reason why who really understands the situation your're in."
"Thank you, Ymir," whimpered Bertholdt. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be," smiled Ymir, reaching her hand out to the starry night. "You know, it wasn't all that bad being a goddess."
When the possibility of a breach in Wall Rose was reported, everyone within the wall was forced to take refuge in an underground city beneath Wall Sina. However, the amount of food stockpiled within the city would feed the refugees for no more than a week. After that, people would have inevitably turned to stealing and killing to survive. Because the authorities wanted to prevent the worst case scenario, Wall Rose was declared secure within one week of the incident.
Trost District
Back in the Trost District, inside a room, Levi, Petra, and Pyxis sat around Erwin, who had recovered from his injury, and sporting a little beard. As they sat, here was a knock on the door.
"Who's that?" asked Petra.
"It's Hange," said Levi. "Come in."
"Please excuse the interruption, Erwin," said Hange, opening the door and saluting. "I didn't realize you were here, Commander Pyxis. Good timing. This is..."
"Conny Springer, from the 104th Cadet Corps," said Conny, saluting.
"Conny comes from Ragako Village," stated Hange.
"The village involved in the recent Titan outbreak?" asked Pyxis.
"The one village that was completely destroyed, but no blood or any remains were spotted?" asked Petra.
"Yes," said Hange. "Actually, I confirmed with him the findings of out investigation on the village. This brings further credibility to that hypothesis. He's come to report.
Elsewhere, Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Armin, and the rest of the girls were outside on a courtyard, coming to terms of the fallen Scouts.
"I was taken away... And because of that, the Scouts lost more than half of their veteran soldier," muttered Eren. "Just to rescue me..."
"I would think that the casualties would be mainly be the MPs," said Rainbow Dash. "Not the veterans."
"It's war, we're bound to lost some Scouts," said Starlight.
"Still, there was no casualties on our way back," stated Armin. "The Titans completely ignored us and ran off to chase Reiner and the others. About that, Jean and I sat down with Twilight and Sugarcoat trying to figure it out. We might have an idea what made the Titans act that way. It was you."
"Of course, that's out theory," stated Jean. "But without assuming that, there's no explaining what happened. It's a tough spot to be in, Eren. Whether or not all those people died for nothing... it all depends on you. If your worth the price they paid, you better show it. We don't have time to waste."
"Yeah, you're absolutely right," agreed Eren, looking at this hand. "I've gotta do this. I'll control the Titans. I'Ll plug up Wall Maria. I'll capture Reiner and make him fucking pay. That's what I've gotta do to atone for all the lives lost."
"Now, that's the Eren I know," said Starlight.
Inside Erwin's room, Pyxis and Petra were completely bewildered by the report that had just came in.
"Say again?" asked Pyxis. "The Titans responsible for this incident... were the citizens of Ragako?"
"How is that even possible?" asked Petra.
"In other words, the true identity of the Titans... is humans?" asked Erwin.
Levi's and Petra's eyes widened at the sudden news. While Erwin was silent from the news.
"We don't... have proof yet," stated Hange.
"So... you're telling me... I've spent all this time and energy running and killing people?" asked Levi.
"When we protect humanity, but in reality we're killing humans?" asked Petra.
"I said we don't have proof yet," said Hange.
After the little meeting, Conny looked at the portrait of his parents, and started to follow Hange. Inside Erwin's room, Levi and Petra looked at Hange and Conny as they walked from their sight.
"Erwin," called Levi.
Levi's eyes widened as he saw a smile across Erwin's face at the news, disturbing Levi.
"Hey. Tell me," said a disturbed Levi. "The hell are you smiling for?"
"It's nothing," answered Erwin. "It's just... with this, we've taken one more step towards the truth."
"Just one step," said Levi. "We'll run out of people before we learn the truth. It's not worth the cost."
"The citizens will panic at the news," said Petra.
"But it is a step towards the truth," stated Erwin. "One day, we'll break it down. This wall hiding the truth... will fall."
Across the land and on top of Wall Maria, the Beast Titan waits on top of Shiganshina. Steam bellowed out of the Beast Titan's nape. Then, a tall man with a well-toned body with shaggy blond hair and a matching mustache that descends down into his beard. He was seen wearing loose pants with combat boots, circular glasses, and no shirt on. The man stands on top of the Beast Titan and puts on his glasses.
"Not yet, eh?" asked the man.
