//------------------------------// // 260. Tonight, We Will Sleep // Story: Azure Edge // by Leaf Blade //------------------------------// The mansion owned by Celestia’s ‘advisor’ was opulent. Almost disgustingly so. But the beds were comfy, even moreso for Rarity as she laid in one within the embrace of her lover Rainbow Dash. Wow. It… still felt very strange to refer to Rainbow as her lover, but that is what they were, if the fluid dripping off of Rarity’s tip and oozing out of Rainbow’s ass was any indication. They had a good time together, and all good times require something to take the load off after, which of course meant… cuddling! Frankly, cuddling was Rarity’s favorite part of the events, and lying naked under the soft clean sheets with her beloved Rainbow Dash, the smaller mare’s head perfectly nestled against Rarity’s neck, there was simply no place Rarity would rather be. “Are you enjoying yourself, my da—” Rarity stopped short in her questioning, or rater was interrupted by a very loud snore coming from her little darling. It made Rarity chuckle, and she nuzzled the pegasus. Granted, Rarity herself wasn’t quite sleepy yet, and Rainbow was lying on her arm, so. She really had nothing but time on her hands and she let her eyes wander across the room. It was a surreal feeling, being inside someone else’s home but knowing they weren’t around, and wouldn’t be around at any point in the near future. Apparently, Rarity and Rainbow would not be meeting Celestia’s ‘advisor’ in person, at least not yet. Celestia insisted the man ran himself far more ragged than even the Queen herself did, which Rarity found hard to believe but she understood Celestia’s point. And after all, tomorrow would be this Neighsay’s big day. Big week? Month? Didn’t matter. The point was simply that he had been pushing for this Pristine Army for quite some time, and now was his chance to prove himself and his ideals. It would have been inspiring, if those ideals weren’t entirely predicated on the murder of innocent people. Also his taste in décor was tacky. Although, this mansion reeked of the scent of an impulse buying decision with no further thought put into it after purchase, which meant that it may not have been an honest representation of the man’s tastes. It also reeked of something else, specifically arrogance, that he could simply pick up a house on an impulse. Though Rarity supposed that working as an advisor toward Queen Celestia doesn’t come cheap. Rarity found herself wishing that Twilight was present, and then redacting that wish after she remembered the whole dragon thing. It wouldn’t be right to dump all of Rarity’s stress and emotional baggage on poor Twilight, who already had to deal with the brunt of this garbage and whose problems were only going to get worse in a situation such as this one. So Rarity found herself wishing that Applejack was here instead. Oh well, it was what it was. Tomorrow, Rarity and Rainbow Dash would be meeting some of the first members of this Pristine Army, and would see for themselves what the Army was about. Hopefully they would be able to meet Neighsay himself, but Rarity wasn’t counting on it. Tonight though? Tonight Rarity would sleep.
