S2E5: Wonders of Scrapyard

Inside his secret laboratory, Shorty Thinking - Dragon Strike Force's Scientist and Medic - was looking at the computer screen, consisting of his teammates' Armor Guardians. Most of them were badly damaged and in progress of repairing them. However, he looked tired yet frustrated and annoyed as he has yet completed his repairs on them since the Incident at Camp Everfree.

Shorty screamed in frustration as he slammed his head against the computer's keyboard hard. Rarity and Asami, still chatting about the fashion shows and the mysterious 'Flanksy', have exited out from the lift. They both then found Shorty's head was on the keyboard, suspecting that he has failed on something again. They both approached and checked on him.

"Shorty, are you alright?" Rarity asked in concern.

"No. I'm not alright," Shorty exclaimed in frustration. He lifted his head up while looking at his computer screen, "After many weeks since Camp Everfree, I still haven't finish the repairs on our suits! It's much difficult and frustration to get them done."

"Wouldn't be easy if you asked Ciel and Asami for help?"

"I did. But unfortunately, the materials and chemical she listed down is very rare and expensive to find and buy. And even if I wanted her help now to find them, she got issues with her traumas. And also, Asami wasn't very good with robot and nano technology. No offense."

"None taken," Asami commented calmly. She scoffed a bit, "But I'm not useless."

"I see," Rarity said in surprise and concern, "Well, clearly that we need to find an expert, who can help us find these rare materials."

Shorty sighed, "Yes, I agreed. These rare materials are Cybertronians, and the chemical are also very high volute and advance as well."

"You know if you need Cybertronian's help, why not ask Cade for help," Asami suggested.

Shorty hummed thoughtfully, "That's an excellent idea, Asami." He turned to the computer screen as he made the calling while typing the keyboard, "Better make sure that it wasn't traced to them by TRF."

BEEP! The call responded with Cade's voice, "Hello?"

"Mr. Yeager, I may need some help," Shorty said calmly and firmly.

Following Cade's instruction; Shorty, Asami and Rarity used the Dragoon Armor Strike-I Gunship, flying and heading straight to Scrapyard, where he and the rest of Autobots were hiding away from Transformers Reaction Force. And at the same time, the gunship was in invisibility mode, preventing both their enemies and TRF spotting and locating them.

Upon arriving at their location, Dragoon Armor Strike-I descended and landed on the ground. Shorty and his friends emerged out from the ship. They met up with Cade, Bumblebee and Hound; who were standing before them. Both sides greeted to each other warmly and calmly.

"It's great to see you again," Cade greeted calmly, "Come on. Just follow us. We know an expert that can help you with repairs on Armor Guardians."

Shorty smiled, "Good, Mr. Yeager. Lead the way."

"Can I ask a question?" Rarity asked curiously. Everyone turned and looked at her. She bluntly asked, "Why would you choose scrapyard? It's filled with junks and mess. It's smelly as well."

Cade smirked slyly, "Isn't it obvious? It's the least place that everyone suspected of."

"He has the point," Asami agreed calmly, "Nobody cared about this place because it's junk and mess. And it would be waste of time for anyone to search for the Autobots. And of course, no one especially fashionista would like it either."

Rarity groaned in annoyance, "Sorry I asked..."

Shorty and his team followed Cade and his Autobot Friends as they were all headed straight to the expert, who can help them with finding the materials and chemical. Arriving to the end of corner, they found a large obese grayish blue colored Transformer with large and long beard, who mas muttering and checking on his items.

"Hey, Daytrader!" Cade called out. Daytrader was alerted by the call. He continued, "You've got your first customer!"

Excited and happy to hear 'customer', Daytrader squealed happily, "Alrighty! Finally it's happening! My own first customer for me to make business! I hope you folks like it because I've got the best of the best! You won't regret it!"

Cade suspiciously and annoyingly glared at Daytrader, "You'd better be. Because if I find out Shorty got problem with materials, I'll have Hound to blow your joint!"

Daytrader yelped in fear, "Easy with death threat! I'm not doing anything stupid! Honest!"

Hound scoffed, "Something tells me otherwise..."

Daytrader cleared his throat, "Anyhow, so what can I get for ya? Whatever material you need, I've got the best! Name them!" Shorty sighed calmly and firmly as he gave the long list for the Junkion to check out. He hummed calmly and proudly while reading the list, "Wow. That's some lots you've got there. There are some of them I've seen and got them, but others could be the problem and messy too."

"So, you can get them?" Shorty asked hopefully.

"Of course, I do," Daytrader nodded calmly and playfully while gesturing with making money, "But with the right price."

Shorty and his friends sighed in annoyance. Cade groaned in annoyance while holding his wrench. Both Hound and Bumblebee, armed with their blasters, aiming at Daytrader, making the Junkion yelped in concern and fear.

"Care to renegotiate again?" Hound asked in annoyance.

Bumblebee nodded and radioed, "Trust me, bob! Don't piss us off."

Daytrader cleared his throat, "I mean it's free and no warranty! They're very good and best for you to use. Count on it!"

Shorty and Rarity smiled happily and in relief that they get the materials and chemical for Armor Guardians. Asami was suspicious and uncertain about the situation.

After gathering enough materials and chemical, Shorty and his team returned to his secret laboratory. Both he and Rarity were working and repairing on the first Armor Guardian - Slingshot Archer. It took them almost three days to fit and welded the materials and parts together with their own Mecha Suit, and even inserting the chemical and firepower to the suits.

Climbing down from the catwalk's ladder, Shorty and Rarity sighed in relief while taking a breathe from repairs. They turned and looked up, looking at the perfect sight of Slingshot Archer.

"We did it. We finally repair it," Rarity said in relief.

Shorty nodded, "Yes. We did." He approached to the computer panel, "Well, time for some testing. And hopefully, it's working well."

As Shorty pushed some buttons on keyboards while moving the handlers, Slingshot Archer did not respond well. This shocked and confused him and Rarity. Continued pressing some buttons on the computer's keyboard, the monitor screen revealed 'malfunction' and 'warning' signs, shocked and annoyed him a lot. He grunted in frustration, trying again to type keyboard or even moving the handler. Nothing responds, causing him to scream in anger while slamming and wracking the keyboard hard.

Rarity was alerted and worried as she quickly grabbed and held Shorty back from hitting the computer. And suddenly, Slingshot Archer's parts fell apart and dropped to the ground. They all looked shock and disbelief of what they just saw.

"I can't believe it..." Rarity said in disbelief.

Shorty groaned, "I needed that! How dumb can I be?!"

"How could this have happen?" Rarity asked in concern.

"Daytrader!" Asami's voice shouted. Rarity and Shorty turned and looked back, where they found her leading Cade, Hound and Bumblebee dragging and bringing Daytrader in. She continued, "I have the feeling that the materials he sold to us was nothing but cheap junks. So, I told Cade about wanting to check and get the right one."

"WHAT?!" Shorty and Rarity asked angrily and annoyingly.

Cade turned and glared at Daytrader, "I warned you, didn't I?"

"Blast time!" Hound remarked as he armed himself with blaster, "Blasting on your head now!"

Daytrader yelped, "Wait! I can fix it! Honest! I can do it!"

Everyone was suspicious about letting Daytrader to repair the Armor Guardians. Nevertheless, they have to keep their eyes on him, making sure he doesn't have other tricks up to his sleeve or else.

"I'm keeping an eye on you, junk bot," Shorty said dryly and angrily, "These are my family's invention."

Daytrader chuckled uneasily and nervously, "By Primus's Sake..."

Almost a week have passed; Daytrader brought more materials, chemicals and firepower to secret laboratory. He then helped Shorty, Rarity, Asami and Cade on welding and repairing the Armor Guardians. And at the same time, they're keeping their eyes on him, making sure that he doesn't trick them by swiping materials to cheap or even sabotaged them. Hound and Bumblebee, armed with their blasters, ready to attack him if he tried to trick them again.

Week has passed, all nine Armor Guardians are fully repaired and restored inside the large containers. Shorty and his team sighed in relief as they're looking at the giant armored robotic suits before them. They were proud and happy for their success.

"Would you look at that?" Hound commented happily, "Quite new and shiny."

Bumblebee gave thumbs up, "Yup. The best one we ever built!"

Shorty sighed, "No kidding. Finally. Months after months, we finally get the job done in time. The Armor Guardians are perfect and ready!"

"They sure are," Rarity said in agreement. She turned and looked at Asami, "All thanks to you, Asami and our friends."

Asami smiled, "Happy to help. I knew a conman when I see one. No one con us gets away with it."

Cade nodded, "Happy to help."

Daytrader grumbled, "No one appreciates my effort..."

"So, how about we give it a test run?" Rarity asked curiously, "Just make sure that Armor Guardian doesn't faulty."

Shocked and surprised by Rarity's suggestion, Shorty smiled, "Good idea. Let's check it out."

Both Shorty and Rarity worn their pilot suit. They boarded and piloted Slingshot Archer as they've been launched to the sky, where they began their test run such as flying around in the sky, summoning the Diamond Barriers and even testing the targeting shots. They both cheered happily as their test field has proven to be success!
