It's been a week since an incident where Rarity, who became possessed by some dark magic by an evil book found by Spike. It took the help of the entire town and a lot of Twilight Sparkle's magic; (who by the way is a newly created alicorn and also the princess of friendship) fix up the entire town, carving out the town hall that was encased in gemstone, and digging up all the gold that Rarity transformed the streets of Ponyville into. There were other minor effects as well, including Rainbow Dash having some random dress suddenly appear on her body while cloudbusting during Rarity's magical rampage. Luckily for the daredevil tomboy being in a dress seemed to be all that occurred, but she had no idea that there were lingering enchantments within the fabric.
The day began for a blue-coated pegasus mare named Rainbow Dash snoring away snuggled deep under the covers in her bed she was feeling so warm and cozy. The mare looked quite peaceful with her bedhead rainbow-colored mane thrown all over her face. She had her wings spread out, then was suddenly jostled awake by the sound of her wonderbolt alarm clock with Spitfire shouting "wake up lazy!" The pegasus groaned, wanting to stay in bed feeling so comfy, but Spitfire's voice kept getting louder. "Wake up! Seriously!? How many times do I have to say it!"
Rainbow Dash groggily hovered her hoof over the snooze button, but Spitfire's voice shouted, "you better not hit snooze bub!"
"Ugh, fine!" Rainbow slammed onto her alarm clock and began stretching her legs and also yawning as she got up for the day. She grumbled angrily with a scowl on her face hating the fact she has to get up so early just to bust clouds. But the mare didn't have a choice until she became a Wonderbolt busting clouds was the one thing that pays the bills. The tired daredevil slowly got out of bed, lumbering to the bathroom to get ready for work. Still, for some unknown reason, she headed to her closet. She opened it revealing an assortment of flight suits,(mostly Wonderbolt themed ones with a dark blue and yellow lightning bolts embroidered on the fabric they had different logos and stripe) the gala dress that Rarity made for her for the galloping gala last year and that odd red dress that appeared on her body a week ago. The dress in question was made of a beautiful reddish-violet silk with gold thread stripes around the skirt area, with a gold trim around her midriff, and some gold emblems threaded on the sleeves.
Rainbow Dash scratched her head, confused about why she kept this thing? She clearly wasn't into fashion, but she saw that the dress looked quite lovely with its elegant silk and may actually cost a good amount of bits. The mare was conflicted wondering whether to keep it or just toss it out. She thought about it for a bit, seeing that it wasn't a bad looking dress, it wasn't too frufru and frilly or revealing and sexy...though the dress's color did match her magenta-colored eyes.
The mare looked around the room, making sure no pony was watching, feeling embarrassed. Even though dresses weren't really her thing, Rainbow felt as if she should at least have one or two just in case. The daredevil tomboy would be lying to herself that she didn't have fun getting all dressed up for the galloping gala a year ago. The mare then slowly placed the red dress over her body slowly pushing her head through the neck hole and placing her front legs through the sleeves. Not long afterwards she strutted over to the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror with a bold smirk on her face. Heck if she wanted another opportunity at getting in close with the Wonderbolts she would need some dresses and go to another fancy ball giving her another chance to show off her moves. Despite agreeing with Spike later that it would've been better if she and her friends stayed together during the galloping gala then going off on their own. But Fluttershy (a shy yellow pegasus who is also Rainbow's best friend but can have an occasional outburst of repressed rage) set off an entire stampede of wild animals to burst into Canterlot palace and made her lose any shot of impressing the Wonderbolts.
Rainbow Dash continued posing in the mirror, looking at how she looked in her new dress, swishing it around her body while giving a smirk. The pegasus then suddenly, for almost no reason, stuck her butt out and began shaking it a little. This, however, surprised the mare as she never wanted to do that and snapped out in surprise. "Hey!? Wait, what's going on! What's up with my body?"
Rainbow suddenly started to go through her bathroom cabinets for some inexplicable reason, and the mare came to the horrific realization that she wasn't in control of her own body. The pegasus tried to fight back telling her brain to leave the bathroom but she stayed going through the mostly empty shelves.
"What's going on here! Somepony help!" The mare cried out but she was alone in her house but she hopefully thought maybe a pegasi was flying by and could hear her. But the mare's strange search came to an end when she pulled out a giant purple wooden box with Rarity's three diamonds printed on the front, referring to the unicorn's cutie mark embroidered on it. It was something Rarity gave her a while back for a Hearthwarming's gift, but Rainbow clearly never touched it as it had a thick layer of dust on top. The mare glared at the giant wooden box knowing full well what was going to happen next and shouted in anger. "Ugh, I Should've just thrown this out!"
But she couldn't help her hoof opening the latch, and the entire box opened up revealing an array of makeup sets, different colors, and styles, along with a full set of hooficure set, maneblower, a set of curlers, and some luxurious-looking shampoo and conditioner. The mare then first took out the shampoo and conditioner and went about taking a hoof and lathering it thick globs of conditioner and shampoo that went about smearing the mane products into her hair. Rainbow Dash walked over to the shower with her face growing red. "Wait!? I'm not getting into the shower, right! I just had one last night!"
She then slowly turned the nozzles until the water was hot and steamy, then slowly placed her head inside and soaked it and began flushing it out. After turning the nozzles and shaking her mane a little, the mare was becoming quite frustrated and snapped, "That's enough! Seriously dress!? I don't need to get all girly up for cloudbusting. I'm just gonna ruin you, plus you'll make me look stupid!"
But the dress seemed to have a mind of its own and didn't care for Rainbow Dash's whining as she walked back to him then went about combing her mane out with a brush and combing all her tangles out. The pegasus cried out with each tug of her mane as it was quite tangled. She never really cared for it that much, so it took a good long time before her mane was smoothed out. The pegasus then took out the blow dryer and blew hot air over her mane until it fizzed up around her head. But she then slowly set curlers in her mane while the pegasus was secretly hoping this would all be over, but she then turned her attention to the makeup kit.
"No, stop! My makeup will get all runny if I go cloudbusting anything but this!" Rainbow cried out with irritation in her tone seeing she was trying to argue with a dress. The mare was extremely embarrassed getting all dolled up especially in front of ponies she works with. But the poor pegasus couldn't do anything as she looked over the kit and saw dozens of different brushes and different styles of makeup. The mare tried to struggle fighting her hoof but she slowly took a small brush and slipped it into a makeup square full of sparkly blue eyeshadow and started to take her other hoof and gently smear it over her eyelids and around the fur under her eyes. Rainbow whimpered and kicked feeling so angry but also nervous of messing up the makeup and making her look like a clown. She started taking a pencil-like object and slowly applied the dark eyeliner, applying it slowly around her eyes darkening them and making them bolder while gently onto her eyelashes darkening them as well. Rainbow scowled in front of her mirror seeing her eyes looking so bold and feminine it was making her blood boil. The mare was slowly looking more like some fashion model, but it wasn't over as she took out a tube of lipstick. The mare then puckered her lips and slowly smeared the glossy red lipstick over her lips. She made a few embarrassing puckering noises against her will then slowly placed the lipstick down as she whispered to herself, "please tell me it's ov-" Before Rainbow could finish, she took a pink puff pad and lightly tapped both cheeks applying a light blush making her cough.
"Ugh, stop! Seriously when this is over, I'm going to go get some wine and cheese!" The pegasus roared beyond furious, having no control of her body and blinked as she meant to say, "set it on fire" not "wine and cheese!" Rainbow shook her head, thinking it was merely a slip of the tongue and replied more slowly this time. "What I meant was a light salad and some chocolate? Maybe have a guy over to hang out with?"
Rainbow started to sweat, realizing the dress was making her say things! She then tried placing her hooves over her mouth but instead took a hoof and took out the curlers one by one and watched as the once her cool simply straightly combed styled mane was now curly and bounced down the side of her head pouring down like a waterfall almost like Rarity's. She wanted to slam a hoof in the mirror and shatter this reflection of herself feeling so objectified by this stupid dress. But instead, Rainbow blew a kiss at the mirror before as strutting out the door and flew out into the sky.
Flying above Ponyville Thunderlane, a dark grey coated pegasus male with a silver mohawk mane, was slowly flapping his wings and was quite groggy that morning with bags under his gold eyes and taking a hoof to his mouth yawning loudly. He had to help his younger brother Rumble on a project last night for school. But the stallion still had to be up early reporting for cloudbusting duty, so he probably got four hours of sleep at most. He looked about the skies of Ponyville wondering where Rainbow Dash she usually was a bit late being a not so happy morning pony. But he eventually did see her flying over in some weird fancy violet dress. The stallion put a hoof to his mouth, chuckling, seeing her in such a fancy outfit. "Uh, Rainbow? What the buck are you wearing?"
"Thunderlane, I'm so happy to see you!" She eeped as she struck a pose and stuck her hips. The male pegasi eyes went wide and exclaimed, "wow, Rainbow, you really went out? What's the special occasion?"
"The...the..there isn't any! I ju...ju...just wanted to dress up for no reason." Rainbow squeaked with a clear look of nervousness as she fluttered over and slowly came over to the blushing stallion unsure of what to do as the mare gave Thunderlane a kiss on the cheek. The stallion's cheeks flushed red, not being both unsure and a bit astonished on why Rainbow suddenly kissed him, and he paused being a bit nervous and bashful, not fully wanting to be presumptuous about Rainbow's romantic feelings and asked, "what was that for?"
"Nothing! I just can't resist being around you!" Rainbow cried out with sweat pouring down her face feeling so hot and heavy from just kissing her co-worker! She then suddenly turned around and stuck her butt in Thunderlane's face proactively and shook it before suddenly flying off. Thunderlane was speechless, rubbing his cheek, not knowing whether this was good or something he should be worried about.
All the while, Thunderlane stood there flapping with a blush on his face, still questioning in his mind why Rainbow Dash was acting so weird. The pegasus in question flew off and started to strut around, smacking clouds with her butt or throwing a pose after bucking one with a hoof. It didn't take long after a while flying around provocatively. Many pegasi noticed her odd behavior and began flying over with confusion, asking if the Rainbow was ok. Even though she tried to respond, she seemed to fly off to smack another cloud and struck a pose and responded with a sexy, "I'm ok darlings! Just showing a new side of mine! I think I want to be a model!"
It didn't take long for pegasi with cameras to fly over and started to flash as he gasped, flying over and stirring over and striking more poses and throwing kisses at the cameras, making the stallions flying around go speechless and making them start lusting for the daredevil pegasus. One photographer male pegasus continued clicking away on his camera and asked out loud. "Hey Rainbow, I didn't know you wanted to be a model!? Why the sudden change in career options? From what I heard, you always wanted to be a Wonderbolt?"
Rainbow pondered a bit on what to do; she knows the dress won't let her straight up rebuttal the response, but she can phrase her question in a way that could somehow get help. The mare then took a deep breath as she formed an idea in her mind and with a coy smile appearing on her face and responded with a seductive tone. "I'm not darling, I just wanted to show off this cute dress Rarity gave me last week? By the way, could you get Twilight? I would love for her to see it?
The photographer's eyes narrowed and responded in a grumble, "I guess she would be happy to see you like this. Though you didn't answer any of my questions…"
"Yeah, why else will I be wearing this lovely dress?" Rainbow responded, still smiling, but in her thoughts, she was getting peeved nopony was helping her.
"I'm not sure if Twilight can help, but I'll go," Thunderlane replied with a blush on his face.
Rainbow's heart fluttered, seeing Thunderlane finally say something that she needed and flew over and gave the stallion a hug as she exclaimed, "Oh, thank you! I-"
"But...I...I need to ask you...do you want to be m-" Thunderlane stammered nervously, hoping Rainbow Dash would be his Fillyfriend. Instead, Rainbow knew what the stallion was going to say next and had to think of something quickly to shut him up in front of all the paparazzi. She then went in and kissed him on the cheek, making the stallion's face turn a beat red as his wings sprung up. The mare then flew backwards with a smile. "Hey, we can talk later, darling please just go fetch Twilight.
Thunderlane nodded with a dopey grin feeling completely enthralled by Rainbow's strange kiss and flew off as fast as he could thinking she's his special somepony. However the daredevil in her mind rolled her eyes as she continued to pose in front of the cameras flashing her moves like a model. The pegasus was getting quite frustrated but endured this craziness as she thought to herself. "He better get Twilight, and after this curse is gone, I don't know if I should hug or buck him later?!"
Rainbow Dash stood posing in front of ponies now laying on a cloud seeming to be showing off her legs or doing yoga stances now. These poses were becoming more promiscuous and sexually appealing,especially to the stallions seeming unable to get enough pictures of her and asking her streams of questions regarding why she's becoming a model. Rainbow kept brushing the questions off, saying things like, "oh, I just feel like being a model today?"
"Oh, you guys think I'm a model? Is my butt too small though? Can you check?" Stupid things like that to shut them up. Luckily for the embarrassed daredevil, Thunderlane was coming back with Twilight, the purple coated alicorn with only seeing Rainbow acting so odd already had an idea of what's going on. She remembered from Spike's report Rarity materialized a violet dress on Rainbow Dash, and obviously, it's enchanted. Twilight quickly flew over to come help pull her friend out of the cascade of photographers and fly off for some time. The princess waited to get a reasonable distance between them and the reporters as she wanted to get out of there before the paparazzi made things harder for them to move and she didn't want them to overhear stuff she still hadn't told the public regarding the Rarity incident. She had to pause breathing heavily still being tuckered out from not really being used to flying through the entire length of Ponyville as she wheezed. "There we..can...talk...here."
"Oh, Twilight, I'm just so happy to see you!" Rainbow cried out with tears in her eyes feeling so happy to see her best friend who can finally break this curse! She threw her hooves over the princess and squeezed as Twilight gave her friend a pat on the back, feeling Rainbow's hug being too tight and squeaked. "Ok you can let go now."
Rainbow stepped back and broke the embrace as she took the time to adjust her mane and dress. Twilight's face turned pink, seeing her friend all dressed up, and with that makeup, it made her look so cute but also gave her a bold, confident look as she whispered unconsciously. "I hope you don't get mad, but you do look twenty percent cuter."
"Oh, stop! Can you just help me please!" The pegasus cried out as she waved a hoof being irritated about everything but not really being able to accurately convey her feelings.
"Ok, ok," Twilight shook her head. not fully knowing why she would make such a comment and turned her head to a bunch of photographers now flying over still flashing their cameras and asking for comments. The alicorn flapped her wings being furious that there's more and roared, "Alright, come on then! Rarity should know how to fix you!"
She took her friend by the neck area of her dress and dragged her across the sky. As Rainbow Dash was getting excited, finally hoping this curse can be broken soon as she squealed, "yes, I can't wait to show Rarity how well this dress looks on me!"
Twilight; however, was getting angrier on how much work she had to do fixing up the town and now having to deal with her friend who was seemingly losing in her mind. This was making her want to go and smack Rarity a few times and Spike too. But she kept her cool as she flew too Carousel Boutique along with Rainbow Dash fluttering beside her. The two eventually landed at the Boutique, the princess of friendship stomped over to the door with steam coming out of her ears and started to pound on the door. "Rarity, get your butt out and help Rainbow!"
The white-coated unicorn mare with a luscious purple mane and tail stood there with a nervous bush on her face as she slowly opened the door. The unicorn flashed her blue eyes, gauging her friends, seeing Twilight quite angry and seeing Rainbow Dash acting so premsiculisly blushing waving a hoof while flashing her eyelashes. The fashionista squeaked out in surprise, realizing the situation almost immediately as Twilight did.
"Seriously, how would I know how to fix her!?" Rarity whined pulling her mane being so agitated at all of this. She knew that all the things that happened last week wasn't her fault, but she felt so angry at herself for it all as well. The mare so far didn't see anything too crazy that affected the mentality of other ponies until now, either.
As Twilight was trying to ask if Rarity could remember anything, the fashionista mostly just cried out she didn't. Rainbow Dash turned to see the stage area where Rarity would have models show off her newest designs. The pegasus slowly strutted across the floor and squeaked out in terror as she realized her body was moving by itself again. "Ugh! I can't stop, I need to show my stuff!" Rainbow cried out hoping Rarity or Twilight would hear her. But as the daredevil looked behind her, she saw that her friends were still fighting and this pissed her off seeing they forgot that she was being possessed by some dress. The mare stomped a hoof and began shouting, "hey stop fighting and watch me strut my stuff!"
The two unicorns looked around with worried looks seeing their friend get onstage crossed her hooves and gave a cute smile. Before the unicorns could go talk to Rainbow Dash, a crowd of paparazzi came barging into Carousel Boutique. They surrounded her with cameras flashing, and more ponies began asking questions as she strutted around with sweat pouring down her face feeling. She felt so embarrassed as she strutted about making sure to shake her hips.
"Look, I feel as if we should just let the dress have it's fun? I'm sure the magic should subside anytime now?" Rarity replied as she turned to face Twilight with a sheepish grin.
"Seriously! We can't leave Rainbow like this! We have to do something!" Twilight cried out, looking over the paparazzi, making things worse for Rainbow. This really got the princess even more furious and began shining her horn, wanting to teleport them all into the Everfree Forest for embarrassing her friend.
Rarity saw her friend's horn glowing and wanted to calm her down and whispered in her friend's ear. "'I don't know what to do? But pushing these ponies out by force may not be the best course of action...maybe we can try to distract them instead…"
Twilight turned to Rarity with a scowl knowing she was right but still angry as she snapped back. "So what do we do?"
Rarity whispered as she waved a hoof with Rainbow now clearly angry and embarrassed but seemed unable to resist the dress's magic. Twilight nodded and looked around, "right? But what could be a good distraction for these reporters?"
"I'm here, Rainbow Dash! I finally found you!" Thunderlane cried out as he burst through the doors of the boutique, shocking everypony.
Thunderlane looked up with sweat pouring down his face. It was clear the lack of sleep and flying all over trying to find Rainbow Dash. The stallion was quite exhausted, but he wasn't going to collapse until he asked his co-worker if she really wanted to be his special somepony. The stallion reared his head up with his eyes closed, both embarrassed, scared but unable to contain his question any longer and shouted, "Rainbow!? You said we would talk after I found Twilight. But I can't hold this back..d...do you want me to be my special somepony?"
Rainbow blinked as she stood on stage as it seemed even her enchanted dress didn't know how she should respond. While the paparazzi started to swarm Thunderlane asking questions if he's dating the famous hero and Wonderbolt in training Rainbow Dash?
Twilight saw an opportunity to get these reporters off Rainbow's back. She held her hooves to her face and shouted out loud. "Hey, Thunderlane! Go tell them about how much you fell in love Rainbow Dash exactly how you told me the other day!? I'm sure they would love it!"
Thunderlane turned his head towards Twilight at this sudden outburst and tried to respond, "hey I ne-"
But it was too late the paparazzi seemed to forget about Rainbow Dash as they swarmed Thunderlane as he held out a hoof being dragged off by a current paparazzi crying out. "Help me! Rainbow please! Answer me!"
After everypony left Rarity quickly slammed the doors of her shop closed and locked them as Twilight turned to see Rainbow Dash now going over the dresses in Rarity's store as she picked them out reluctantly and stacking them over her back as she shouted, "I don't have enough bits to pay for all these! Rarity, please help me get a line of credit for all these dresses!
Twilight gave a deep sigh and slumped down and took a long deep breath seeing that despite finaling getting rid of the reporters, they still had no idea how to get Rainbow Dash back to normal. Sadly what Rarity said earlier was ringing true and sighed. "I guess we don't have a choice, we need to wait it out until the effects dissipate…”
Rarity turned her gaze over at Rainbow Dash with a blush on her face feeling both happy seeing Rainbow Dash getting this excited over fashion and and nervous about what was happening with her personality as well. So the white coated mare decided to respond, “oh don’t worry darling you can have any dress you wish.”
Rainbow Dash squealed as she flapped her wings and flew upstairs to go try them on Twilight just sighed, “So...i’m going to go look around Ponyville to make sure there’s no other crazy effects from the book Spike found isn’t causing any more trouble. Then I'm sending a letter to the princesses to discuss how we should help Rainbow Dash, hopefully they can tell us more about that book.”
Rarity gave a deep sigh as she responded. “I agree darling, don’t worry i’ll take care of Rainbow Dash under my care until she’s back to normal.”
“Alright Rarity I'll leave you in her care.” Twilight responded as she trotted off and Rarity waited patiently until Twilight was out the door before locking it and blushed as she whispered, “oh I know I shouldn’t be feeling excited. But I think this is an excellent chance to teach Rainbow how to be a mare!” She then ran upstairs as fast as she could to see what dresses Rainbow picked out.
