Chapter One: Bones in the dirt

The glowing orb lit up the dig site like the sun would, if it wasn’t obstructed by the tons of dirt over head.

The orb was being created by a mare covered in dirt as she cleared it away from the artifact. Her coat was a dark blue and her mane was a light shade of pink with several red streaks through it. Her mane was all tangled and bits of dirt and rock inhabited the once flat well styled mane.

The brush she held in the pink aura generated from her horn pushed away the dirt over the small metal brick that was being clutched by what seemed like a tree root.

The root in question didn’t look like a root. It wasn’t tough like one and it certainly didn’t have that bark texture like it. It was more pale and tender... it was almost like flesh.

Had her years of research finally paid off? Had she found a human?

She worked faster and faster until the soil and stones were removed from what she had found.

A small squee could be heard from the mare as she unearthed a partially intact human being. He had a strong, muscular build, but his skin was a sickly pale as if all the blood had left him and been replaced by ice.

He was almost frozen in time and looked like the barrier had simply passed over him. His clothes were tattered and looked beyond repair, but his body was almost like he had been frozen, shielded from the barrier that consumed Earth two hundred years ago.

“Well, you’ve come a long way. Now lets get you cleaned up and up on your feet,” she said as she lifted up the body with her magic and exited the dig site.

Author’s Notes: Too short to say anything, more coming soon. Aegis is also best editor pony. Also, this isn't going to be Green Tea or anything like it... imagine a Human in Equestria with A LOT of Conversion Bureau shoved into it.
