//------------------------------// // salty // Story: A Tough Spot // by dashielovesyou //------------------------------// Ava woke up to her amazing sleep. She remembered a week ago about how her favorite pony was here. She wouldn't stop thinking about that. She wished that she was still here. Ava got up from her bed and made her way to the bathroom. She did her usual routine, waking up, taking shower, and brushing her teeth and other stuff. After she was done, she went upstairs to eat. "Good morning!" Ava said cheerfully, while she took a sit. "Good morning honey," Her mother, Olivia sounded depressed. Ava notices this. "Hey mom, are you okay? You don't sound too good." Ava asked, worried. Her mother never acted like this before. She has been always so happy and joyful. Ava's mom was thinking about something that hurt her. yesterday, her best friend died from a heart attack. She was really hurt that her friend died. She tried not to show it to her kids. They don't have to know, they didn't really know her. All they knew was that: It's their mom's best friend and she hangs out with her a lot. Olivia did feel like going to work, so she canceled it for today. Olivia noticed that Ava was staring at her. "I'm okay. Don't worry about me. I heard you had a big test coming up." Her mother was trying to change the subject. Ava will ask her later about this. "Oh yeah. I've been studying hard for this. I hope I pass." Ava said hopefully. "Yeah, same." After that, silence. Everybody started eating now. Ava notices that her father wasn't in the room. "Hey, where's dad?" Ava asked. "He went to work early. He said that he'll be back at 9." "Oh, alright." Ava looked down at her food and started eating. Ava arrived at her middle school. She walked down the walkway to try and look for her friends. She saw them next to her locker. "Hey girls!" Ava greeted them. "Hey, girly. How are you?" Her friend Charlotte asked. "I'm fine." Ava looked down. She was thinking of her mother, she looked so sad at the table. "You sure 'bout that?" Her other friend, Mia asked. "Yeah. It just that, when I was eating at the table, my mother looked upset. I'm worried about her." Ava said and looked up and at three friends with a smile. "c'mon, let's go and get our stuff ready for our class." Ava and her friends walked away and wen to there lockers to get their stuff. After Ava's fourth class. It was lunchtime for her. She went to the cafeteria to get her lunch and sit with her friends. "Hi again!" Ava said. "I won't be talking that much right now, I have to study for the big test," Ava said to her friends hoping that they will understand. "Alright! We will try not to be loud," Amelia said as she went off and talked to Mia. Ava smiled at her and looked down at her book studying while eating. The last five minutes were doing good but, her friends started to get louder and louder. Ava couldn't even concentrate anymore. "Girls! Can you guys be a little quieter? I can't focus." Ava said while her hand on her forehead. "Oops. Sorry girl." Charlotte said. "We'll be quieter." "Thanks," Ava said and she continued to study. Ava walked out of the cafeteria while holding her book in her hand. She stopped when she saw three boys in fount of her. "Hey loser. What's that book you have in your hand eh?" One of the boys said, eyeing the book. Ava was already pissed off at these boys. She just wanted to go to her next class. "None of your business," Ava looked at them with annoyed eyes. "Oh really?" The boy on the right side took her book out of her hand. "Hey! Give that back!" Ava demanded. "That's mine!" "Hmm.. let's see here, mathematics. Ew who likes math now," "Well, I do. You rat bastard!" Ava yelled at them. "Heh, someone's salty," "No! We do not talk to someone like that!" Out of nowhere, a teacher comes up the four. "I'm sorry I-" Ava was cut off by the teacher. "You're coming with me, young lady. Ava was sitting in a room. She was in detention. She was pissed off and upset. She was only trying to stand up for herself! She didn't get the book back though, that was the only thing to get her out of this boredom. She was just looking out of nowhere until she felt something touch her foot. She looked down and saw Fluttershy! "I have to go use the bathroom. I'll be right back," The teacher and as she exited out of the room. "Omg Fluttershy! Is that you?" Ava asked in disbelief. "Yep! I came back!" Fluttershy said as she stood up. "How'd you get here? Didn't Twilight send you back to Equestria?" Ava asked. "Yeah, but I asked Twilight to bring me back!" Fluttershy said, smiling. "That's awesome!" Ava said. But then she had a question. "How did you get here so fast? LIke under my desk." Ava asked, looking down. "I was here for a while. I was waiting for you to be done with school so I can say hi." "Oh. Hey Fluttershy. I need your help," Ava said. "Yes?" "Okay so, I got picked on by these three boys until I called them a mean word and, this random teacher heard me and brought me into this boring room," Ava said. "Oh no. Tell the teacher that you're trying to stand up for your self. I mean, I get that you said something that you shouldn't say but still, tell her." Fluttershy said to Ava as she put her hoof on her shoulder. "Alright! I'll tell the principal," Ava said confidently. "Thanks Fluttershy," "You're welcome!" Ava walked out of the room and into the principal's office. She saw him reading something. He stopped and looked at her. "Hello, what can I help you with?" The principal said. "Um, I got in detention for saying something bad while trying to stand up for myself. Can you put me out of it please," Ava explained. "Well, what did you say?" "I said um- rat bastard," Ava said while avoiding eye contact. "Well, I won't let you out. That's a bad thing to say to someone. Now go back to that room, while you call your parents." The principal said. "But, I was trying to stand up for myself," Ava looked down. "They were picking on me while stealing my book," "Sorry! Shouldn't have said that." Ava looked back at the door. She was getting ready to tell Fluttershy the bad news. She opened the door but she got knocked over by Fluttershy zooming into the room. "Now you listen here, my friend over here was trying to stand up for herself! I mean, I know she shouldn't have said that horrible word but, you have to know that they were picking on her and calling her names. Now, if you don't let her out of that room, I will give you, the stare." Fluttershy said while staring at him. The principal back away. First off, he never saw a pony before. And not just those small horses, I'm talking about a talking freaking winged pony! Not only that but, the pony is yellow! "Woah! Alright then, I'll let her out. You're free to go, miss!" The principal said. Ava looked back at Fluttershy and smiled. "Thank you," Ava exited out of the room with Fluttershy by her side. "Thanks for helping me out Fluttershy," Ava said looking at her with a smile." "You're welcome that's what friends are for," Fluttershy was also looking back at her with a smile. "I guess you have to go back huh," Ava said, she looked down again. After the first time, Ava has been upset that Fluttershy was gone. "Yeah, I'm sorry. Twilight said that she will pick me up at three." "It's okay!" Ava said to her with a smile. "I have to do my last class now. I will see you after school!" Ava waved at Fluttershy. "Bye!"
