Lil'Cheese Growing Up...and the First-Day-of-School day Party

"The years flew by and every creature grew, with Lil'Cheese being a happy lil' foal. And he made his parents so proud when he first went to Kindergarten." Pinkie narrated, before the flashback begun.

Inside Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie and Cheese were packing things up for their son. Lil'Cheese was four-years-old, ready to go to school for the very first time.

"Remember, just be your party-pony self!" Pinkie reminded her son in a cheerful tone.

"And bring the extra cheese!" Cheese Sandwich joked.

"I will, Mum and Dad!" Lil'Cheese happily exclaimed, "And I'll get to see all of my friends!"

"Rainbow Dash and Soarin's twins, Applejack and Caramel's girl, and Fluttershy and Discord's kid! We know!" Pinkie responded.

"And Big Sugar, Big Mac and Sugar Belle's boy!" Cheese Sandwich reminded.

"Oh right, Cheesy!" Pinkie winked at Cheese, before their son called.

"Mum! If you don't take me to School, I'm going to be late!"

"Coming!" Pinkie called back, dashing off at the speed of light, while Cheese gave out a grateful sigh.

"They grow up so fast."

Later that day, after Pinkie returned to Sugarcube Corner, Cheese sold a box of cupcakes to his last costumer, a second before Pinkie entered.

"Pinkie! So, where's Lil'Cheese?"

"He's at school?" Pinkie replied in a tone that sounded like asking a question.

"Of course it he is! It's nine o'clock! Gotcha!" Cheese joked.

"Oh, Cheesy! You got me all the time." chuckled Pinkie.

"And you got me all the time, too, Pinkie, or maybe, a lot of times?" Cheese tried to be honest, causing the couple to laugh.

"No matter the mistakes you made before," the two party ponies said in unison, before they started saying something different at the same time.

"You're the perfect mare for me," Cheese said, as he stared at Pinkie Pie's eyes.

"You're the perfect stallion for me." Pinkie said, as she stared into Cheese Sandwich's eyes.

The married party ponies then embraced each other in a romantic hug for a few seconds, before they let go of each other.

"I always remembered that super duper romantic song, Cheesy!" Pinkie commented in her usual hyperactive tone.

"And I always remember the day you gave birth to Lil'Cheese," Cheese Sandwich responded.

"And all the parties we threw for him," Pinkie added, before they walked towards a wall full of pictures of them throwing the mentioned parties.

"Lil'Cheese's one-month-old day, his half birthday, his full birthday, his learnt-to-crawl-around anniversary day, his first word celebration day, his learnt-to-walk day, and all of his birthdays." Pinkie listed.

"He really grew up so fast," Cheese sighed, before his tone and expression gradually changed from a bit sad to hyperactively happy, "I can't wait to see the look on his face when he comes home and finds out about our surprise party for his first-day-of-school day, which will be happening!"

"Then what are we waiting for?! Let's get his party ready, the right way." Pinkie announced, dashing off.

Later that day, Cheese Sandwich gave Lil'Cheese a ride on the former's back, as they headed home. Upon reaching Sugarcube Corner, Cheese opened the door, revealing the inside being completely dark. One second later, the lights automatically turned on, as Pinkie and the Cake Twins shouted, "SURPRISE! Happy first-day-of-school day, Lil'Cheese!"

"I totally expected that," Lil'Cheese told every creature, causing them to gasp in shock.

Giggling after hearing their gasps, Lil'Cheese told them, "Gotcha!"

After sharing a laugh with every creature, Pinkie responded, "Oh, Lil'Cheese! You really are growing up, and with a sense of humour!"

"So, how's school? Great?" Pumpkin Cake asked.

"Nope." Lil'Cheese nodded, before exclaiming, "More than great, it's the BEST! All my friends were there! We had a really great time! And I got to meet a lot of other creatures!"

"And do you get to be yourself?" Cheese asked.

"No, I got to be even more than myself! I was the laughter element of the class! I was just like...a younger version of my Mum! Just like the twins were like younger versions of the commanders of the Wonderbolts." Lil'Cheese explained.

"Huh, just as I thought Rainbow and Soarin's children would be like." Pinkie responded.

"So, what about the rest of your friends?" Pound Cake asked.

"They're all fine if you ask me, playing together, talking together, and like being with each other..." Lil'Cheese answered.

"So, if everything's alright..." Cheese Sandwich began, before Pinkie finished the sentence for him, in a gradually getting crazy tone.

"Does that mean we're ready and alright to cut the first-day-of-school day cake?!"

"Actually, we aren't." Lil'Cheese answered, freezing his mother.

"Why not?" Pinkie asked in a somewhat whiny tone.

"It's also my best friends' first day of school, shouldn't they get to celebrate it, too?" Lil'Cheese pointed out.

"Lil'Cheese," Cheese Sandwich approached, in a grateful tone, "You are really growing up, and making us proud. You thought about bringing more creatures together when we don't, you pointed out mistakes that another party-pony made, just like your Dad did, I'm so proud."

"So, can we bring all of my best friends here?" Lil'Cheese asked.

Soon, all of Lil'Cheese's friends were at Sugarcube Corner, thanks to Discord, who had used his magic to create teleportation portals to fetch the guests. After Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich's song, the cake was sliced and given out to every creature to enjoy. After the party games, the celebration was over and all the guests left.

Pinkie hung up another picture on the wall, before the whole family looked at it from afar, admiring the wall.

"All those parties, all those memories, time really flies..." Cheese commented.

"And no matter how much of it goes by, the party will still be here with some fun new games to try!" Pinkie rhymed, to brighten things up.

"And our together...ness, will be here, Pinkie." Cheese embraced his wife in a romantic hug.

"Um, Mr Cheese Sandwich and Madam Pinkie Pie?" Pound Cake asked.

"Lil'Cheese should be in bed by now." Pumpkin Cake reminded.

"Oh, right! Thanks Cake Twins!" Pinkie called, before leading her son to bed.
