After Chase and Sunset got home from school, Sunset sat down on the couch and started to do her homework, and Chase laid his head on her lap and took his few minute nap. When suddenly, Sunset got a text from Twilight, asking her and Chase to come to her house for dinner with her family. Sunset texted her back that they’ll come over after she finishes her homework and gets herself and Chase ready. Twilight replied that Cadence and her brother Shining Armor will be there. Sunset smiled warmly and then replied that Chase will be so surprised.
Few minutes later, Sunset was done with her homework and Chase packed up his go-bag and then they walked over to Twilight’s house together.
Sunset and Chase walked down towards Twilight’s house and finally found out it was small, mansion based, and it was dark purple, pale purple, dark pink, magenta and lavender. Plus the windows had the star symbol like on her skirt. After they knocked on the door, Twilight answered it and let her friends inside.
When they got in, Chase saw how cool the front hall looked, leading the way to the living room. “Chase, is that you?” a voice said. Chase saw Cadence on the couch, but this time, she was wearing a dark turquoise jacket, a pale pink cleavage dress shirt underneath, a navy blue skirt, black yoga cropped sweat pants, and she wore dark cerulean flats with sapphire blue bows. He went up to greet her. “Cady!” Cadence stood up and kneeled down towards his level. “Hi!” Cadence said, then was embraced by the boy, until she chuckled. “Wow, you’re so sweet!” She gave him a tender kiss on his forehead, then took him to the couch and carefully placed him on her lap, then she introduced him to someone, but Chase started to get shy.
“Chase, this is Twilight’s brother and my husband, Shining Armor,” she said. Chase saw Shining Armor smile at him, then Chase slowly waved at him as he pressed his cheek onto Cadence’s soft chest. Shining Armor had white skin, cerulean eyes, and his hair was a blended mixture of cerulean, sapphire, and dark cyan blue. He wore black sneakers, grey jeans, and a navy blue and dark pale reddish pink vest with the symbol of a blue shield with a pink star in it pinned on the side of his vest. He also had a gold wedding ring. “So you’re Chase Tucker?” he said before Chased nodded in reply. “Cadence and Twily told me about you. But good news, the policemen took your aunt to custody and they’ll probably make sure she stays there.” Chase smiled softly and then rubbed the tears off his eyes, but Cadence was still with him and she gave him a 10 minute cuddle to calm his cortisol level.
Until Chase started to calm down, Twilight’s parents came in with the groceries for dinner. Her mother had light grey skin, cyan eyes, and pale purple and white vertical striped hair. She wore a pale purplish grey short sleeve shirt, a dark lavender skirt with three dark purple stars on it and a silver chain necklace with a purple star around her neck, and dark purple velvet fabric moccasin shoes. Twilight’s father had pale navy blue skin, tan eyes, and neatly and smoothly combed navy blue hair. He wore a dark grey long sleeve button up collar shirt and dark brown work pants and shoes.
“Sorry we’re late. Got stuck in traffic again,” the mother said. “But we managed to save the food,” the father said, until they saw Sunset sitting on the couch with Twilight, Shining Armor, and Chase, who was cuddling with Cadence. “Hello, Sunset. So glad you could come join us,” she said, then saw Chase. “Who’s this sweet thing?” Twilight stood up and introduced Chase to her parents. “Mom, Dad, I want you to meet Sunset’s adopted brother, Chase Tucker,” Twilight said. “Chase, this is my mother, Twilight Velvet, and my father, Night Light.” Spike came over and nuzzled with Chase, until the boy patted him. “Hey, Spike,” Chase said, then went to Twilight Velvet and gave her a hug. She hugged him back and realized about the poor boy’s past life, because Twilight told her parents about it. “I’m sorry about your loss from so long, dear,” Twilight Velvet said as the poor boy had tears in his eyes. “Cadence, could you take him? He needs some comfort. I’ll go get dinner ready.” She nodded as Twilight Velvet left for the kitchen, until Sunset joined her. Twilight went to go do her homework, and Shining Armor and Night Light went to the kitchen to talk as father and son.
Cadence leaned on the couch with her legs curled up on the cushion, then texted her friends about Shining Armor and asking what they’ve been doing so far, but then she took one look at Chase, then she reached out her arm, “Come here, sweetie.” She let him sit with her, but he laid his chest down towards her thighs, spread out his arms around her legs but one of them hanged downward, and Cadence gently embraced his head on her belly. Cadence stroked his hair gently and rubbed his shoulder. “There, there. Everything’s gonna be okay, sweetheart,” she said. She leaned closer and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. Then, she let him cuddle with her for a few minutes until dinner would be ready.
It was dinner time, and they were all having spaghetti and meatballs with steamed broccoli, and toasted garlic bread. Shining Armor sat next to his dad, Twilight sat next to her mother and Sunset, and Chase sat between Cadence and Twilight Velvet.
“How’s the food, sweetheart?” Twilight Velvet asked. “It’s good,” Chase said. “Can I have some broccoli please?” Twilight passed the broccoli to Cadence, and she scooped a small spoonful of broccoli onto Chase’s plate. Then, Chase continued to eat his dinner. “So, sport, I heard your aunt abused you after the loss of your parents. I’m sorry to hear that,” Night Light said. “You should be lucky to have Sunset to watch over you.” Chase nodded, then continued to eat. “My mommy was a nurse and my daddy was a lawyer,” Chase said. “My aunt is a fashion critic, and she wears a lot of jackets, either leather or fur.” Everyone was shocked about this. Chase then told them about the way his aunt treated him and why it happened. “Oh, my,” Twilight Velvet said, then she rubbed his back to comfort him. Sunset told them about the night where she found him and chose to raise him as her brother. They made a “d’awww” reaction, then continued to eat the dinner.
After dinner ended, Sunset and Chase said goodbye to Twilight and her family, then walked home to the apartment. When they got back, Sunset gave him a bath and got him ready for bed. She tucked him in and gave him a kiss. “Goodnight, buddy,” Sunset said. “Goodnight,” Chase said. Then, Sunset walked out of his bedroom and went to her bedroom and went to sleep.
