//------------------------------// // A Day as a Human // Story: A Change of Heart // by SewerDweller //------------------------------// The three looked at the signed paper and the principal watched for a bit. "Due to need of new students, you will find a schedule with a lunch account number that will have a bit of money for the week until your parents can put more cash in. Enjoy being apart of the Mareigo Windigos!" She said gesturing that they go. The three walked out and inspected their schedules. They each shared one or two classes with each other but the three were never all in the same class. "Well, looks like we have to get to..drama?" Clypeus said to Elytra and she nodded. "Well have fun guys, I have to get to...art? God, it's bad enough we have that stupid Princess Seahart as our principal but now we have to do fucking pony things. Art is for those dumbasses and I am not a pony.." Tegula stated angrily as he pushed the two aside and walked. As he walked away he kicked an open locker and other students; who resembled other changelings from the hive stood out of his way. Clypeus and Elytra walked to their class which was located in the middle of the school. "Clypeus, what did you even sense from this school?" Elytra asked as they walked, looking at how different this world was compared to them being changelings. "Simple Elytra, I sensed a sort of....love. Look at these not changelings...they aren't fighting or anything they are being nice. Imagine if Chrysalis saw this world, we would have food for many moons..." Clypeus explained as he gestured to towards humans who were talking and laughing. Clypeus gave a sly smile as the two stopped in front of the classroom, and Elytra looked around to see if they were suppose to go in. "Clypeus, what if we aren't suppose to steal their love?" Elytra asked and Clypeus shot a glare towards her. "We are. Elytra look at them..they're pathetic pieces of shit. They need their love taken away..you're not that pathetic we both know that so don't fill your mind with stupid thoughts of change. You, me, Tegula are the only ones who are right in this world. Embrace it." He muttered with a grin as the bell rang. Many students started rushing to classes and the two changelings walked into their class. "Sit wherever you want," the teacher mumbled, not looking up from his paper and the two sat next to each other in the back. Tegula got to the art room and walked in with a group of other students. Most seemed estatic in the room with Tegula feeling disgusted. "Students! Sit with your preferred group, and then we can discuss our subjects of drawing!" she said excitedly, as many sat with their friends. Tegula sat at an empty table by himself, hopeing nobody would join him. When all the other tabled were filled, a group of three sat around Tegula. "Do you mind if we sit next to you?" A voice asked and Tegula just shrugged. "Well, we'll take it as a yes. Anyway, we should introduce ourselves. I am Abeille, and this," she said gesturing to a human with lime green hair "This is Arista, and this is Anti," Abeille said gesturing to a guy with navy blue hair who gave a wave. Tegula looked at them, and rolled his eyes. "I'm Tegula," he muttered and the other three said hello to him. "Are you new Tegula?" asked Arista and Tegula ignored it. "I'll take that as a yes," "Why the hell are you guys so fucking happy?" he asked and Abeille sighed. "We aren't always happy." "Then why are you being so fucking nice?" "Because we wanted to make friends with you. You look sad and lonely and we wanted to be nice. If you don't want friends then fine but no need to have a sour attitude." "God dammit shut the hell up. I have friends, I am not sad. Where I come from we don't have this shit called 'art'." Tegula stated making art in quotation marks and Abeille glared. "Where, are you from? That sounds amazing!" Arista shouted before covering her mouth nervously "I mean that sounds awesome. No art where you're graded on stupid things." she grinned and leaned closer to Tegula to get an answer. "I can't answer you, Arista. I can't take you either. You already exist there." He stated and Arista's grin faded. "I hope you know you're crazy Tegula," Abeille said and Tegula scoffed. "You aren't any different." "Students! PLEASE pay attention!" The teacher sang out as the tables hushed. The teacher went on to explain the art, and Tegula just seemed bored. He hoped the other two were having as much trouble as he was. In the class about acting, the teacher acted like he didn't care. They were given worksheets and a chance to work together, and the two decided to work together. "Alright Clypeus, who is your favorite play writer?" Elytra read from the paper, she looked up at him and he was just folding the worksheet. "Elytra, we both know that I don't give two fucks about play writers. Just put down that one changeling...shit I can't remember her name." Clypeus said, not stopping his folding process. "You mean Posi?" "Yea, that's what we called her." Clypeus said flatly. Posi was their old fake mother when they were young and showed some care to them, but was the one who made them do a stupid little play. "Come on Clypeus that play was kinda fun," Elytra said writing on the worksheet. "Now, what is our favorite play? "The Ponies are Murdered." Elytra wrote that down, and they heard one human laugh. Clypeus stopped folding and they looked. It was a human with long straight magenta hair and magenta irises. "You know that's not a real play right?" She stated, standing up from her desk. "Why, are you spending time with him if he doesn't know anything and just has a bad attitude. What's your name?" She asked looking at Elytra. "I'm Elytra," she muttered "I know who you are Coxa," she added and the human smirked. "I like you Elytra, you know something. Well, I'll give you a choice that you can either stick with me and my group or stay with your failure of a....whatever he's going for." Coxa said gesturing a circle at Clypeus with her hand. "Elytra, you aren't leaving to hang out with Coxa. She's a thieving little bitch." He muttered and Elytra looked at them both. "Look, Coxa. Clypeus. I won't choose between you two alright? I'll just leave you two be and work by myself." Elytra said pretending to write on the worksheet, even though she had nothing to write with. Coxa gave an annoyed sighed and grabbed Elytra's desk and pulled it with her, and Elytra gave a small wave to Clypeus. He watched, shooting a glare at Coxa who didn't even care. "Students, make sure to turn in your worksheet at the end of class." The teacher muttered pointing to a stool at the front of the room, Clypeus groaned. He has no intention to start working, so he hoped nothing would happen. He glanced at Elytra who seemed to be talking to Coxa well, and he caught a glance from Coxa which was a sly grin. She won this time, but Clypeus wasn't going to let her get away with this.
