Eighteen years ago....
"Brother, may I host the summer fest's evening party?"
"Why?"
"Why? Because I, want to spice up castle life. You're the only one in the family who is not serious."
"Jewel, I rule a kingdom. You rule a kingdom. Why can't you go back home and do your wild party?"
"Wild? No, brother. My friends are in town near us. Plus your kingdom is much more popular than mine." A lilac alicorn begged blowing her white and pink mane away from her eyes.
"No Jewel Cloud. I won't allow my kingdom to become a ruined wasteland of barbarians." the golden alicorn said fluffing his orange mane with pink highlights.
Jewel Cloud watched her brother walk away, she hated how serious her family was. Jewel was one of the fun and outgoing in her family and once she became queen of Ponica, she threw the best parties due to the activity that went on in them. Soon they destroyed the kingdom, and it took months to start to rebuild everything now Ponica has the reputation of a wild kingdom with no control. This wouldn't stop Jewel from having her own party in any kingdom that she chooses and the orders from her brother wouldn't stop her. She hoped that her brother would side with her but alas he was as serious as their parents. Jewel walked down the halls and into the courtyard where they were setting up. She smiled kindly at her brother's servants as her horn lit up and moved some of the decorations. "I hope you all don't mind, King Gold Sunrise allowed me to host this evening party for Summer Fest," Jewel lied with a smile and the servants looked at each other and gave small nods. She grinned as she moved decorations to the corner to remove a royal aspect of the party.
Hours later, guests started to flood in most of them were in a formal dress until three dragons, a hypogriff and a griffin came in with glowsticks around them. They started partying like it was a rave and other ponies slowly started partying like them. Jewel grinned "Ponies of Moria I wish to indulge you in some of the best partying in all of the land!" she cheered as she changed the music to be more lively. Jewel was keeping the crowd occupied as her brother set the sun and the moon was raised and the party started going wild with the creatures cheering and the ponies slowly letting lose. One dragon knocked a statue down, and Jewel didn't mind as the party started getting really crazy.
King Gold heard the noise from outside and wandered out and he saw everything unfold. He sighed and took a deep breath, flying up to be seen in the moon's light "Every creature stop!" He yelled his voice echoing in the courtyard. Everyone stopped except for his sister and he flew down. "Jewel!" he called out as Jewel froze and looked at him with a small smile as everything around them seemed to have froze. "Brother! How rude of you to interrupt." She said with a smile, her brother unamused.
"Queen Jewel Cloud, get out of my kingdom after you clean up this mess." He ordered time seeming to resume and creatures starting to leave.
"Brother you can't do that! You have servants who can help." His sister called as he turned and walked away which caused her brother to glance at her one more time before walking into the castle. Jewel waited for a bit to see if her brother would come back and help her or if servants would help her. Nopony came, and she walked out the castle gates and flew off.
When morning came Gold Sunrise raised the sun and checked on his sister, and once he came upon the unchanged courtyard he was disappointed in her. He asked his servants if they saw his sister, and none could give him the answer he wanted. One reporter pegasus flew by and landed in the ruined courtyard. "King Gold, what can you tell us about this party? Where is Queen Jewel?" she asked flying close, getting ready to write.
"No comment," he mumbled walking away, and inside the castle. "Roseleaf, call the guards for a meeting." he snapped at a maid and she nodded quickly running off. The queen watched him walk into the throne room and set down her son.
"Aurelius, stay here. I'll be back in a moment." The queen said to her foal. She walked to the throne room and sat next to the king.
"Gold Sunrise, what's happening?" she whispered and Gold Sunrise lowered his head.
"Jewel is missing after that wild party she threw..I have to discuss what our kingdom will do in the future." Gold replied with and the queen nodded.
"Guards, Queen Jewel Cloud is missing. We need to decide what our plan is for our kingdom. I do wish for my sister's return but the press is coming to find answers." Gold Sunrise said "Tell me any ideas you have to ensure safety." he added waiting for replies.
One guard made his way to the front "King Gold, what about isolation?"
"Isolation?" he asked and the guard nodded.
"To protect your family, you stay in the castle and we stay with you. Prince Aurelius stays between the castle walls, the courtyard is blocked off to the public. We, the guards can look for your sister but with staff and some guards you are kept safe from the creatures she brought with her." he explained and the king thought. King Gold gave a small nod to them and looked at his wife "Snowflower? What's your thought?"
"Gold...your sister left out of anger. She's not responsible...we don't need to block ourselves off." Snowflower explained and the King nodded before the door opened.
"King Gold! Queen Jewel's crown was found! It was damaged and burnt." the pony yelled and the king walked to him.
"We, are closing the gate..your sister is now missing." Snowflower said looking at Gold Sunrise.
