Twilight was fiddling with a strange mouth like amulet she found in the castle of the two sisters. She was warned not to examine it but her curiosity got the better of her, just when she was about to put it away she dropped it. The amulet shattered and a loud ring came from the object. Twilights assistant Spike ran down to the lab to see what was going on and to see if his friends was okay.
"Twilight what happened?" Asked the worried Dragon.
"I dropped the amulet we acquired from the castle, this is just great!" Twilight responded with irritation.
Suddenly screams from outside the castle were heard and the two looked step each other before running upstairs. Twilight sprinted to her door with Spike in tow and stepped outside to see a tall lanky creature with a mouth and a strange box for a head. It picked Rainbow Dash out of the sky then bit her head off before going after Rarity who tried to run to the castle.
Twilight watched in horror as her other friend was now being eaten by this thing. Other Ponies were picked off one by one, their screams being heard from the monsters box on it's head.
Twilight grabbed Spike and went back inside, She used her magic to block off the main doors with castle pillars.
"It can't get in Spike don't worry!" Twilight assured.
She knew she messed up when she touched the amulet and now all her friends were taken by that thing out there. A spell was casted all around the castle so it wouldn't get in, Twilight picked up the paralyzed spike and sprinted to her room. Just upstairs and down the hall she made it to her room, she made sure to barricade her door with her mattress and used shelves to block the windows.
"There that will jeep us safe" Twilight said to herself.
"T-Twilight..." Spike trembled.
Twilight trotted over to her best assistant and friend. "Yes Spike?"
"Why did it eat them?" His voice was still and cold, such a brutal scene for a young dragon to see had to be traumatic.
Twilight wrapped him in a hug and began crying. "I don't know, I-I don't know..."
*Tap...Tap...Tap*
Three taps came from her window.
"Twi it's me Apple Jack open up!" It said.
"You're not her, you're not her" Twilight whispered repeatedly. She knew it was that monster, it ate her friends right in front of her.
Then the thing outside took on a new voice. "Twilight Darling please this thing out here is going to get us if you don't help us!"
Twilight quietly dragged herself and Spike to the closet and she left the door slightly cracked. She kept Spike in the corner to keep him safe from the thing that was trying to get inside.
Suddenly a loud siren alarm went off right outside her castle.
*RIIIIIIIIIING*
*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*
The castle shook as the monster banged against the spells barrier, Twilight could feel the spell cracking and knew it wouldn't hold long.
"Please Celestia save us!" She pleaded quietly but her calls fell upon deaf ears.
The barrier cracked until it finally broke, Twilights heart dropped as she knew what was about to happen. Silence filled the air leaving a haunting/eerie feeling in Twilight, she looked over to Spike who was on the verge of a heart attack.
*CRASH*
The window to the room smashed open. Twilight held her breath as the sounds creaking came closer and closer to her closet door until suddenly nothing.
No sound.
No banging.
Twilight leaned towards the door and opened it slightly when suddenly a long lanky hand grabbed her by the face and within a second dragged her away before she could even scream. Spike was alone now, he just watched his best friend disappear before he could do anything.
Spike was paralyzed with fear and closed his eyes before long he fell asleep from the stress. Tears coated his scales as he cried himself to sleep.
A few hours go by when a familiar voice calls out to the Dragon. "Spike"
Spike woke up instantly, he heard Twilight calling for him. He was about to get up but remembered what had happened when his friends were taken, the monster was trying to lure him out like it did the real Twilight. Spike finally gained the courage to move but only into a smaller ball, the monster outside could be heard walking away while still playing the voices of other ponies.
Spike waited until he could no longer hear the monster before slowly and cautiously made his way out of the closet. A feeling of curiosity came over his fear and he stalked towards the shattered window, he could see in the distance near Pinkie Pies house the tall lanky figure picking up another victim but couldn't make out who through the fog that all of sudden came in. Spike knew he had to escape and find somepony to help him so he climbed out of the window and climbed down the walls of the castle.
Once he was on the ground he made a full sprint towards the Everfree Forest to find Zecora. The monster blocked his path to Canterlot, but not to Zecora who should know how to deal with this thing. The air was cold the closer he got to the edge of the forest but Spike didn't think anything of it as he wasn't worried about the air. After a long run he made it to the edge if the Everfree Forest but stopped when a cold chill went up his spine, a bad feeling came over the Dragon and he knew what it was. The monster knew where Spike was or at least knew he wasn't in the castle anymore.
*RIIIIIIIIIING*
The sounds of sirens became louder and louder, this gave Spike the boost to run into the forest to avoid the monster. The sirens were getting closer and closer but Spike wouldn't look back, He couldn't look back. A tree root tripped the little Dragon and he tumbled to the ground, tears flooded his eyes as the sirens stopped behind him.
"Hello Spike" Twilight greeted.
(Canterlot)
Celestia has every window and every door barred tightly to keep the thing out. She couldn't help but listen as her ponies screamed in terror as the siren wailed loudly, the shaking of the guard's armor wasn't helping either. Luna flew out the door to try and fight the monster but never returned.
The screams soon fell to silence, the sirens wails died down. Celestia took a silent breather to try and calm herself. The Nobles, civilians and Gaurds that made it inside all stayed in the center of the throne room. They all feared the thing would break through any window or door at any second. Celestia however stayed by the front door, a small crack between the steel and wood peering into the city.
Not a single pony was seen, dead or alive, It was quiet as a mouse. A thought ran through the princesses head.
"What if it's just waiting us out?"
One of her Captains approached her side. "Ma'am" He whispered. "Is it gone?"
"No. It's waiting for us to come out" Answered the princess.
The two joined the larger group of ponies. The hours of silence were dreadful for everyone, but they knew if they were trapped, no where to run or hide.
From the outside world a voice cried out. "Tiaaaaaa!!!". It was Lunas voice.
"Sister!?" Called Celestia. She sprinted over to the crack and peeked outside, just hooves away from her was the tall monster holding Lunas head at Celestia eye level.
"SiStEr let us in!" Lunas voice became distorted with thousands of more voices all begging to be let in.
The Captain reached out to the Princess. "PRINCESS GET AWAY FROM THE-"
*CRASH*
In a flash the Solar Goddess was taken by the monster. Her screams filled the halls of the castle but they were turned into bloody gurgles not long after.
And once again the siren wailed.
