//------------------------------// // The Make Up...and Happy Ending // Story: Divorced or Still Married? Sparity // by Majestical4729 //------------------------------// "We get it now." Sparity honestly said her thought out loud, "We were such a headache that drove Mum mad, and upset our Dad, then they...divorced...for real." "I can't believe we ruined our parents' happy couple status!" Precious Treasure added, expressing guilt. To the kids' surprise, Yona laughed, "Not exactly, little kids." The next second, Spike and Rarity entered the boutique, with Rarity thanking Spike for the ride he gave her, and Spke replying that he would always be willing to help his unicorn wife. "Mum? Dad? Did you still call each other husband and wife?" Precious Treasure asked. "Of course we do, at times." Rarity replied. "But...the story...Yona said that because of the troubles Precious and I caused for you...you declared that you were officially broken up..." Sparity told her mother. "That's because that's only part of the story!" Yona explained, "There's still a good ending for the couple." Every creature gathered around for the final part before Yona continued, "Right after Rarity made Spike leave in tears, Princess Twilight approached Rarity..." In a flashback, Twilight confronted Rarity, "Rarity! I know your job is important to you, but a re you sure it was worth it choosing it over the lives of others?!" "What do you mean, Twilight? I'm not endangering their lives." Rarity asked. "What I meant was you were making others' lives miserable! You hurt your babies' feelings by looking like a cold-hearted, harsh, monster that sends them away to live with ponies they barely know, and hurt Spike's feelings even when he had nothing to do with the babies' actions!" Twilight clarified. "It was his idea to have them in the first place!" Rarity pointed out, "If it weren't for him, they wouldn't even exist! And the trouble they caused won't eve exist!" "But don't forget what you always say about generosity: Others are more important than yourself." Twilight reminded, "So, would the babies be more important than your job?" "Even if they were more important, how am I ever going to survive without the bits I earn from my job?" Rarity asked. "As the Royal Advisor, Spike is as rich as I am, and I'd be alright if he gave you all the bits you need when they were originally his," Twilight stated. "And since Sweetie Belle succeeded me as Generosity Teacher, she earns the bits for me, I do have hope on surviving without my job." Rarity realised. "I'm sure every creature will understand if you're unavailable for a while, plus, you got employees." Twilight pointed out. "I made a big mistake," Rarity sadly said, "Right now, I have some creature to find and make up too." Spike was sadly sitting in his former bedroom in the Castle of Friendship, before the door opened, revealing Rarity with their babies. "Spike, there you are! I am so absolutely sorry about what happened...or mostly...what I did." Rarity told him, before sighing, "Twilight brought me back my senses by reminding me that others are always more important than myself, and I figured, that you and our family are indeed more important than me, and my job. So I decided, to retire temporarily until our kids aren't so troublesome anymore." Rarity explained. "But...you said that we are...officially broken up..." Spike sadly cried. "Only because I was so frustrated that I could not control myself." Rarity clarified, "Now, I really take it back," she then presented him a wedding ring, to his shock. "If just saying isn't enough to prove to you that I'm sorry and I don't want to have our couple status taken away, I'm willing to buy this proposal ring to show that I want us to be a married couple again!" Rarity cried out, kneeling before Spike. "Wait, what?!" Spike asked in confusion. "I said: 'If just saying isn't enough to prove to you that I'm sorry and I don't want to have our couple status taken away, I'm willing to buy this proposal ring to show that I want us to be a married couple again!'" Rarity repeated her sentence. "Rarity, I can't believe it!" Spike exclaimed, "I can't believe that you're willing to just go and buy an expensive ring when you're about to retire! I mean, think about the risk you're taking with your bits!" "You are way more important than I am, to me." Rarity told Spike. Spike blushed, "Rarity, I totally accept your apology, but we really don't need to remarry...I mean, we won't be considered divorced just by one of us saying so, would it?" "I believe that Spike has a point," Twilight approached, "Since divorce means no longer married because the marriage has been legally dissolved, it takes a lot more than a claim from the couple to make it official." "So this means...we were never divorced?" Rarity asked. "Totally never divorced," Spike answered, "But I still accept that nice ring you bought for me." "Oh, Spikey-Wikey! Of course, you can have it, my beloved's dragon husband!" Rarity giggled. "And you may share my bits, Rarity, my beloved unicorn wife." Spike replied, before he and Rarity kiss each other on the lips. After the flashback ended, Sparity was disgusted by the romantic end while her older brother was delighted. "So, we never made our parents divorce?" he asked, trying to ensure that he knew the facts. "Your parents aren't even divorced in the first place," Spike confirmed. "And they are absolutely still married, even though they don't live together." Rarity added. "I'm just glad that my sister and I didn't break up a happy couple," Precious Treasure commented. "While I'm regretful for hearing that part! So gross!" Sparity exclaimed, rushing off to the bathroom. "Well, at least we're still family." Precious Treasure gratefully stated, before hugging his parents, who embraced the hug.
