//------------------------------// // I'm Home // Story: Attack on Titan 2: Clash of the Titans // by Gojizilla54 //------------------------------// The 104th Cadet Corps were kept isolated under suspicion of Titans within their ranks. But with the sudden appearance of Titans, couriers were dispatched to warn each district. However, the cause of this crisis remains in the dark. For now, no one yet knows. Trost District "Commander Pyxis!" called a Garrison, entering Pyxis' office. "Titans have been spotted! Wall Rose has been breached!" Hannes looked back in shock, while Pyxis only gave an angry glare. Shotess District In the night, all the Scouts were gathers in a courtyard getting their supplies gathered up, ready to head out to Wall Rose. On a cart, Mikasa and Eren were busy loading the cart up with supplies. "What the hell does that mean?" asked Eren. "Damn!" "But," spoke Armin, walking up to them. "Would Titans break walls with Titans in them?" "It has happened before," said Eren. "They busted the wall into our city." "That was a gate," stated Armin." "Armin, what are you saying?" asked Mikasa. "The thing about the walls. There's no crevices between the rocks or any signs of cracking," stated Armin. "We can't really tell how they're made. So what if they're made out of hardened Titan skin?" "What?" asked Eren. "It must be pretty versatile if Annie can encase herself," said Armin. "Titans... in the wall," muttered Eren. Indoors, Hange was busy looking at an object through a microscope and too busy to listen to her assistant. "Section Commander!" called Moblit. "What are you doing?! We're supposed to leave in 5 minutes! Please hurry!" "There's something I need to confirm," stated Hange. She continued to look at the object and was surprised at her finding. "Hey!" called Levi, in the doorway. "Get moving!" "Ah, sorry!" Hange apologized. "What about him." "He's been ready for a while now," stated Levi. Hange grabbed a small crystal and started to head off. Back outside, a couple of Scouts were in formation and were holding torches. Erwin was in front the formation, leading the way. "Eren. Wear it right," said Mikasa, fixing Eren's cloak. "It's cold at night." "Sorry to keep you waiting," said Hange waving. "Took longer to prepare than we thought. Behind Hange was Pastor Nick, Levi, and Petra, who was in her Scout uniform. As the got on the cart, Armin was surprised to see Pastor Nick on board. "Isn't this a priest from the Order of the Walls?" asked Armin. "Yeah. Nick and I are best buddies," said Hange, wrapping her arm around Nick. "Right?" Nick didn't answered, considering the fact that she held him at the edge of wall, and was about to drop him. "Don't let him bother you," said Hange. "The whole makeup of this squad doesn't make any sense. Does it, Levi?" "No, I think it might," answered Levi. "Erwin picked them out for a reason for a reason." "OPEN THE GATE!!!" shouted Erwin in front. The gate to the Stohess District opened up. As the gate opened up, Erwin turned around to the rest of the Scouts. "The situation within Wall Rose is unclear," stated Erwin. 'But everything up until Ehrmich is safe. We'll save time going through there. Move out!" "Yes, sir!" shouted the Scouts. Erwin turned around and galloped towards the gate. As Erwin went through the gate all the Scouts followed him. "Take us out," ordered Levi. "Yes, sir!" shouted the Scout on the carriage. As the cart exited the Stohess District, Armin looked back at the wall as his hair was blown from the wind. "This whole time, titans have been protecting us from Titans," thought Armin. "What he knew?" asked Eren. "The whole time, he knew that there's Titans inside the wall?!" "Yes, though he kept his mouth shut this entire time," stated Hange. "But now he's coming with us to witness the harsh reality. Will his beliefs be strong enough for him to stay silent? Or will seeing it with his own eyes make him question himself?" "Man, this guy worships the damn wall, knowing that there's Titans in it," hissed Rainbow Dash, galloping next to the cart. "No, no, no, no!" shouted Eren, slamming his hands on the cart. "This is backwards! If there's something you know, tell us about it! Nothings important than keeping humans from going extinct!" Then, Eren grabbed his head, which was still injured from the Female Titan battle. "You're still not fully healed," stated Mikasa, tending to him. "There's more than one way to get answers," said Levi, pointing a pistol at Nick. "I may be injured and useless right now, but it doesn't take much to watch one man. I'm hoping we can settle this without blasting a hole in anyone. Aren't you." "Threatening him does work, Levi," stated Hange. "Trust him, I tried." "Then, how the hell do we get answers?" asked Petra. "It seems to me that this priest is capable of sound judgment," Hange stated. "That's why I wonder. What if the reason he doesn't talk is because he knows something more important than the fate of humanity." "It's just probably the holy walls," assumed Rainbow Dash. Earlier that day, Sasha and Rarity rode alongside their section commander. All three of them were galloping and following a trail. As they galloped, Sasha spotted something in the distance. "See that?" she asked. "It's the village!" "Is that the last one?" asked the Scout. "No! My village is deep in the forest!" stated Sasha. "Me and Rarity will go there!" "Alright," said the Scout. "Leave this village to me!" "Got it!" shouted Sasha. "Why do I have to go?!" whined Rarity. "You know that village better than I do!" "Hey! Quit your bitching and follow Sasha!" scolded the Scout. Rarity groaned at the remark of the Scout calling her a bitch. The Scout then started to break away from Sasha and Rarity. As Sasha and Rarity looked at the Scout breaking away, memories of Sasha's village started to fill her mind. Sasha, about three years younger, burst from the door of a small wooden shack with a straw roof, which stood among similar buildings of similar sizes. Over her shirt, she wore a green, blank cloak. Chasing Sasha out of the shack was a middle-aged man wearing a brown hunter’s hat, a brown vest, a white shirt, dirty white pants, and heavy brown boots. "Hey! Quit it! Sasha!" demanded her father. "Sasha! You been nabbing snacks again?! Stop it spit it out!" Sasha was too busy tearing into the meat that she had and ignored her father's words. "Get it out of yer mouth!" shouted her father, holding her. "We fixin' to smoke that for winter, ya moron!" Sasha then bit down on the meat, causing it to fall onto the ground, collecting dirt as it rolled. Sasha then placed her hand underneath her father's chin and pushed him away. She then grabbed the meat from the ground and started to eat it. "You damn dumb girl!" insulted her father. "Fine! Have it your way!" Her father then started to walk away from Sasha. As her father walked away she run and hid behind a tree. Her father then sat down on some steps. "Sasha," called her father. "Have you asked yourself why the world is changing? Why these past few years teh forest be shrinking and game harder to find? Have you every think about that?" She then swallowed the meat that she was chewing. "It's cause more people be comin' and taking food and game from the forest," answered Sasha. "That's why I'm hungry." "That's true," said her father. "But, hey. They lost their homes and got no place to go. they got no other choice." "Their fault for losing it," stated Sasha. "They oughta leave ours." "Titans took it from them," stated her father. "They knocked a hole straight through Wall Maria. Where else can they go? You can feed a hell of a lot more people by clearing the forest and planting grain." Her father then crossed his arms and looked at a stump. On top of the stump was a bow and saw arrows on it. "Maybe it's time for our family to let go of the forest and give up hunting for good," suggested her father. "The government said they would pay for us. Every horse that we raise is money in our pockets." "You gotta be kidding me!" shouted Sasha. "If we're giving up hunting, we be givin' up who we are! Why should we give a hoot about the people who make fun of our lifestyle?" "I'll tell ya why," he said, standing up. "It's because we're all part of the same world. We humans, we've always been peck animals. Sure, we all live our different ways. But when space is this short, we gotta join the group and do what's best to-." Sasha then broke in. "No! I refuse!" objected Sasha. "We've lived here all our lives, just like the way our ancestors taught us! We don't owe nothing to any outsiders!" "I see..." said her father, looking back. "So be it. Ya can live in this forest, along with the others who think the same. But, Sasha... Are you willing to die for that choice? No matter what trouble comes yer way, ya can't go beggin' for help. if you're not there for them, don't expect them to be there for you. I'm willing to give up our traditions if it means I can live with my family. Goes to show ya our world's connected, whether you like it or not. Sasha. Are you that much of a scaredy-cat? Is it hard for you to leave this forest behind and get along with others?" Back in the present, Sasha and Rarity galloped on a trail towards Sasha's village. "It's been 3 years since I've been back," Sasha thought. "Surely he realized something was amiss and fled..." rarity looked around her surrounds and was creeped out at the sights. "This place is dull," said Rarity. Sasha ignored Rarity's words and continued to gallop. Then, Sasha noticed giant foot prints on the ground. "It can't be!" she thought. "Why out here? They've already come this far?! This place isn't safe for people anymore." Sasha and Rarity continued to gallop when into the light. Sasha adjusted her eyes towards the light and saw something in the distance. "What is that?" asked Rarity "A new village," Sasha concluded. Rarity and Sasha got up to a draw bridge. Both of their horses jumped over the gap and galloped into the village. Inside one of the houses in the village, a young girl with blond hair sat upon her knees, facing the wall, not moving a single muscle. To her left was a small Titan, which was devouring the thigh of a woman. The woman tried to break free, but due to the Titan grabbing her calf and arm was restraining her from getting free. As the Titan devoured the thigh, a pool of blood started to pour from the wound. The woman then sets her head down, her eyes started to slowly close. She looked at the young girl and tried to call for help, but the young girl was extremely scared to move. She then looked at the woman, who was succumbing to her wounds. Outside, Sasha and Rarity got off their horse. Both of them walked down the trail that lead to the house and stopped in front of the house. Rarity and Sasha saw the Titan inside and saw an axe that was on a stump. "What do we do?" asked Rarity. "We kill the Titan inside and look inside for any people," answered Sasha. "Ok, you're going to hold the axe and kill the Titan, while I stay out here and wait for your signal," said Rarity. "No, you're a soldier and not a bitch, you're coming with me," said Sasha, grabbing the axe. Rarity groaned and both Sasha and Rarity slowly walked towards the Titan. Once inside, Sasha then drove the axe into the Titan's nape, while Rarity watched from behind. Sasha repeatedly drove the axe into the nape with all her might. At every drive, blood spread everywhere. "Damn! If I don't slice it off, it'll just heal back up!" Sasha thought. Then, Sasha accidentally threw the axe backwards, making it stuck on a roof beam. The axe almost hit Rarity, who ducked just in time before it could be lodged in her head. Sasha screamed as her axe was stuck. "Sasha! What are you doing?!" screamed Rarity. "What am I doing?! Why haven't you got that girl?!" shouted Rarity. "I thought you were going to kill!" shouted Rarity. But much to their shouting, the Titan paid no attention to Rarity and Sasha. The Titan kept on eating, and Sasha and Rarity saw the opportunity to get the girl. "Go get the girl!" shouted Sasha. "Fine!" shouted Rarity. Once Rarity got the girl, Sasha, Rarity, and the girl ran out of the house. After the Titan was eating it then had its attention towards the three. "What's your name?" asked Rarity. The girl was too scared to even response to the question. "Don't worry. It'll be okay," assured Sasha, untying her horse. "What will?" spoke the girl. "What?" asked Sasha, before turning around to her horse. "Steady... Steady." Sasha then turned around to the girl, unaware that Sasha had fully untied her horse. Her horse started to gallop away leaving. "You're fucking kidding me!" shouted Sasha. "Come back!" "Goddammit Sasha!" shouted Rarity in full panic. Sasha then whistled for her horse and turning around to the girl. "Don't worry," assured Sasha. "It'll come back. Rarity where's your horse!" "Over there!" pointed Rarity, next to a fence. "Why are you speaking nicely?" asked the girl. "What?" wondered Sasha with confusion. Sasha looked back at the house in horror. The Titan then stepped out and was head towards the three. She quickly found a bow and some arrows. She grabbed it and started running with the girl and Rarity. "It'll be okay," assured Sasha. "Why? Everyone already left," stated the girl. "The whole village knew mu mother's legs were bad. But not a single person came to help. All I could do was watch." The trio got to the drawbridge. Sasha threw her bow and arrows across the bridge. Then, she and Rarity helped the girl to get up on the bridge. Once the girl got over, Rarity climbed the bridge and looked at Sasha. Sasha looked back at the Titan walking towards them. Then, a piece of the bridge broke beneath her. "Sasha!" called Rarity, offering her hand. Sasha grabbed Rarity's hand and pulled her up the bridge. Once Sasha was over the bridge, the Titan fell on the piece of the bridge, but held on to the bridge and climbed it. Sasha looked back and remembers a time when she was a cadet. In the training grounds, Sasha was filling a bucket with water from the well and Christa was helping her. "You're really starting to tick me off," forewarned Ymir. "What?" asked Sasha. "That stupid way you talk politely to everyone," answered Ymir, annoyed. "Why don't you talk to other cadets like normal?" "Well, you see..." said Sasha. "Wait. Let me guess," Ymir broke in. "You're embarrassed by the way people sound from your village. Bull's eye? I'm surprised an idiot like you care so much. You people can't do anything but hunt, and you're afraid of people, to top it off. i bet you don't have a single good reason for aiming to become a soldier." "Ymir, stop it!" demanded Christa. "You're bring-" "Sasha!" called Ymir, leaning on Christa. "You gonna care what other people think and be someone you're not your whole life? What a crock of shit. You're fine as is, so talk in your own words for crying out loud." Sasha was surprised by the final words Ymir gave her, sounding more supportive. Ymir still looked away from her in a huff, but Sasha couldn’t help, but feel strangely indebted to her for her words. "Thank you," Sasha thanked. "What?" asked Ymir, bugging that she didn't get the message. "I'm... sorry," stuttered Sasha. "I'm not... yet..." "Cut it out!" butted Christa. shoving Ymir away. "There's nothing wrong with the way she talks! Sasha is who Sasha wants to be. Her words will always be own. And I happen to like her." "Fine, have it your way," said Ymir. 'Still, even if she changed the way she talks, it won't change the fact that she's annoying." "You know, not everyone is as insensitive as you," stated Christa. "Excuse me?!" asked Ymir. Sasha, hearing Ymir get insulted by Krista of all people, began to laugh. Ymir sneered as Sasha’s chuckle turned into a hearty laugh. "Hey! What are you laughing at?!" asked Ymir. "I'm sorry," Sasha apologized. Back in reality, Sasha, Rarity, and the little girl continued to run down the dirt road. "Why do I remember, now of all times about a silly, pointless days in the past?" wondered Sasha. "It's all... I can think of." Sasha then looked back at the little girl, who had the same expression on her face. "Hey, you'll be fine," assured Sasha. "Keep following this path. Run as far as you can. I promise someone will be there to help you." As the trio continued to run, Rarity then tripped over a rock that was exposed on the trail. She fell on the trail, caused her to scrape her knee badly. "Sasha!" called Rarity, trying to get up. Sasha looked back to see the Titan getting close to Rarity. She stopped and turned around. "Now, go!" shouted Sasha, letting go of the girl. "Run!" Sasha then pulled the bow back and aimed at the Titan. "GET RUNNIN'!!!" shouted Sasha. The girl then started to run away. Rarity got up but only ran slowly due to the pain of her knee. Sasha then fires the arrow, which shot the Titan in the throat. The Titan wasn't bothered by it and continued to walk. Sasha grabbed Rarity and started to run. "If I take out both eyes, it'll buy us plenty of time," thought Sasha. Sasha and Rarity got a side of a hill and climbed on top and helped Rarity up. Sasha then drew pulled back her bow and aimed at the Titan. She shot the arrow, but it missed. "Shit... two left," she thought. She then took out another arrow and pulled back her bow. "Relax... All it is... is a big...slow moving target," she thought. She then fired the arrow, which then shot the Titan's left eye. "Good work, Sasha!" shouted Rarity. "One more arrow," Sasha thought. "But, if I miss this... we can't escape. If I miss, me, Rarity, and that girl." As the Titan began to climb, Sasha then throws her bow into the air. She lets out a scream and drives the arrow into the Titan's right eye. The Titan wrapped its arms around Sasha, keeping her from moving. Sasha struggled to get away, but she placed her right hand under the Titan's chin. She pushed up causing the Titan to fall down the hill. She then grabbed Rarity and started to slid down and running away from the Titan. "I slipped out thanks to that blood," Sasha thought, looking at her hand. Now, gotta find that girl!" As Sasha and Rarity continued to run. Sasha stopped and heard horses galloping towards their direction. "What is it, darling?" asked Rarity. Sasha didn't answer and saw a dozen people on horses galloping. One of the people looked back and recognized someone down on the hill. "Sasha?" cried her father. Sasha was in disbelief as she hasn't seen her father for three years. Later, Sasha mounted her horse and Rarity's scrape was patched up. Rarity was riding on Sasha's horse, following the people from her village. "We been givin' horses to everyone in the area," said her father. "that girl back there told us that two people her still back there. Who'da thunk it was you two? You fought off a Titan for that girl, didn't ya?" Sasha nodded and her father smiled at her. "Sasha... Yer all I hoped for," said her father. Sasha smiled at her father's words and continued to ride out of the forest. "I'm home," sighed Sasha. "Excuse me, Mr. Braus!" called Rarity. "What is it?" asked Sasha's father. "Why do you sound like my friend Applejack?" asked Rarity. Sasha and her father chuckled at Rarity's words. "Well, is yer friend from Dauper?" asked Sasha's father. "No, she's from Shiganshina," answered Rarity. "What about her relatives?" asked Sasha's father. "There's Granny Smith, Apple Bloom, Big Mac, her parents Bright Mac and Buttercup..." answered Rarity. The last two names shocked Sasha's father as he tried to remember those two names. "Say those two last names again," said Sasha's father. "Bright Mac and Buttercup," said Rarity. Sasha's father then remembers those two names like it was yesterday. "Bright Mac and Pear Butter," sighed Sasha's father. "Excuse me, Mr. Braus, it's actually Buttercup," said Rarity. "Well that was a nickname given by Bright Mac," said Sasha's father. "Both of them lived in Dauper and they lived with Granny Smith before they moved. I was good friends with them too." "Who are those two people?" asked Sasha. "They were the real version of Pyramus and Thisbe," said her father. "Let me tell you on how they met." Both Rarity and Sasha listened to the story of Applejack's parents as they continued to gallop out of the forest. Outside, Gelgar, Reiner, Bertholdt, a female Scout with long, brown, messy hair, named Lynne, and Pinkie Pie were galloping and following Conny. "Conny wait!" shouted Reiner. "Calm down! There could be Titans anywhere! Get back here!" Conny then entered a small village with several destroyed houses. He looked around his surroundings in horror, easily recognizing the place. "This can't be," said Conny. "Is anyone here?!" Conny continued to look around form anyone that survived. "IT'S ME CONNY!!!" he shouted. "I CAME BACK!!!" Everything was silent, nobody was in sight. "My house," said Conny, desperately galloping. As Conny galloped towards his house he remembers his family. "Dad... Mom... Sunny. Martin!" "Please be okay!" Conny hoped. As continued to gallop until he stopped. Much to his horror they weren't okay. He looked in horror as a Titan with long blond hair and had small hands and legs on laid on top of Conny's house. "Conny! Get back!" shouted Reiner, grabbing his arm. "It's..." trembled Conny. "It's my house." Pinkie then stopped next to Conny and looked at the Titan. "What is that?" asked Pinkie. Conny didn't answer as he continued to look at what was his house. "It's Conny's house," whispered Reiner. Pinkie looked at Conny and his house and felt bad for him. "Fall back you two!" shouted Gelgar. "I'll scout the area!" shouted Lynne. Gelgar circled around Conny's house and observed the Titan on top of it. "Wait, it can't move?!" he wondered "Not with those legs," said Lynne. "Then. How?" wondered Gelger "How did it even get here?!"
