Sunset woke up her brother in his room.
“Wake up, Sunlight, you promised me that today, you will take part to a snowball battle!!”
“Ugh, Yeah yeah, he said. If only i didn’t lose a bet against you last week”
“Oh, don’t be so grumpy, you will have fun, she said. I want you to be my secret weapon!!”
“You know i don’t like anything related to winter” said Sunlight.
“Don’t be a baby, she said. I and Rarity made for you the perfect winter outfit!!”
“Fine, just let me the time to woke up, eat and take a shower.” he said.
“Oh, right, i see you in one hour!!” she said.
Sunlight stayed a few more minutes in his bed, then got up, took his shower, brushed his teeth and made his bed. He left his room with in his hand a big, hot apple turnover and a mug of hot chocolate. He put is winter suit and called Sunset to tell her he was on his way to the battlefield. Ten minutes later, he joined her at the entrance of Pinkie’s house.
“Well, well, said Applejack to Sunlight. I was not expecting you to take part in a snowball battle. This is really him your teammate this year, Sunset?”
“We will crush you and all the other, she answered. This time, the victory will be mine!!!”
Sunlight made a few steps back.
“I...think i will just...uh...” he said.
Sunset grabbed him by the arm and led him to her base.
“I think i already feel the cold killing me!!! Said Sunlight, dramatically. I feel my body weaken and cooling off!!”
“You are very bad at drama, she said to him. Stop acting like a baby, you have no choice! Now, start making snowballs!”
Sunlight obeyed.
”I am obligated to take part to this, he thought, But she never mentioned that i had to make her win. I just have to make us lose fast and i will be back in my warm bed in no time”
After 1 hour, the principal Celestia announced the beginning of the battle.
“Are you ready? Let’s the battle begin!!!” she said.
“Are you kidding me, Sunlight? She asked. You only made 10 snowballs in one hour?!”
“You never said how much snowball you wanted, he answered. And you didn’t told me to do them fast...”
“Grrr...That’s fine, she said, holding her rage back. Ten is better than nothing. If i picked you, this is because your aiming is deadly and the best i saw in my life.”
“Maybe, but there is a big difference between being accurate with magic and being accurate throwing snowballs...”
“No, there is no differences, she said. I want to win this year, i could have chose any other of my friends, but i chose you because i want to win this with my brother!!! So, you better not deceive me!!!”
“Ugh, fine, i will do my best, but don’t expect miracles from me.” said Sunlight.
She sighed and started throwing snowball at the opponents. Sunlight also threw some but they miss their targets,
“Come on, Sunlight!! She said at him. Why do i have to do everything myself!!?”
In a burst of rage, she knocked out half of the participants by throwing snowballs brutally at them. Her victims were including Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Fluttershy, Flash Sentry and the C.M.C’S.
“See? She said to him, This is not that hard!!!”
Sunlight was stumped by how much seriously she was taking this battle. And he was feeling bad about this. He really wanted to see her win, but when seeing how much she was obsessed to win.
“I need to stop her madness, he thought. And i know just the way...”
Sunset was unstoppable, putting down one by one all her opponents.
“I don’t need anyone to win!!! She said. You hear me, Applejack!!!? I will reduce your fortress to rumbles!!!”
“You need to calm down, Sunset, she said to her. This is just to have fun!!! Can someone cool down her mind a little?”
Sunset was knocked out by a snowball, thrown by Big Mac.
“Done" he said
Sunset stared at him, enraged.
“Not like that, Big Mac, said Applejack. Now, you just made the things worse!!”
“Uh oh, said Dash, who was with Applejack. Well, Gotta Go Fast!!”
She ran away from the battlefield. Sunset grabbed a snowball thrown at her by Trixie.
“Oh, crap...” said Trixie.
She received the snowball back in her face
“Okay, Sunset, you win!! Said Applejack, now, calm down!!”
“I don’t want to win that way!! She said. I will stop only when my base will be the last one to stand up!”
“Well, it was worth the shot” said A.J.
She was stroke by many snowball thrown at her head, and she fell on the ground. Sunlight was looking at the scene.
"Screw it" he said.
Applejack was about to finish Sunset with a big snowball.
"Sayonara!!" she said.
But the big snowball got destroyed before leaving her hands.
"Sunlight? she asked. Fire at will on him, everyone!!"
Everyone threw their projectiles at him at the same time. Sunlight dodged them Matrice style.
"My turn" he said.
He used his magic to throw hundreds of snowballs at everyone still standing on the field. Sunset woke up and saw Sunlight in action, and smiled.
"Finally, she said. I know you can do it, brother!"
Ten minutes later, everyone excepted Sunlight were knocked out.
"We won!! said Sunset to him. Thank to you!!"
“And you, he answered. You knocked out at least half of the opponents”
“You two form a solid pair” said Rarity.
Sunset smiled.
"Very, solid, said Applejack. But next time, we are totally going to crush you!!"
"Were you really going to throw that big snowball on me, AJ? asked Sunset. While i was down?"
"Uh...Maybe?" she answered.
"Well, if you excuse me, said Sunlight, i am going to return in my room. I need a good hot cocoa and a burrito"
He disappeared. Sunset and the rest of the group entered in Pinkie's house for a party.
