Days had been cloudy for dang near a week now, so it was a welcome relief to see the sun shining over Green Neigh. Applejack sighed contentedly as she looked up at the cool blue sky, only a few clouds hovering overhead as the sun peeked out and heralded noon. It was a pleasant sight, made even better by pleasant company.
“Hey, Applejack,” Rainbow said, resting in Applejack’s arms as the two sat under the shade of a fine tree in the private garden behind the inn, “that cloud up there looks like a fat dick, right?”
Applejack snorted and hugged Rainbow even tighter. Pleasant company, indeed.
“Rainbow, you sweetheart,” Applejack said fondly, nibbling on Rainbow’s ear as she spoke, the little cutie trying and failing to stifle her giggles, “you’re such a little asshole.”
“See now I’m just thinking about as—”
“Stop,” Applejack laughed, and she squeezed Rainbow, who cackled and slipped out of Applejack’s grip before perching on her shoulders and giving her a kiss on the forehead. “Gawd, if you weren’t so cute, I swear you’d be insufferable.”
“But I am cute,” Rainbow grinned like a cat, and Applejack’s heart was ready to burst cuz she just loved the little bastard so much.
“You are,” Applejack stood up like a shot, disorienting Rainbow as she fell off Applejack’s shoulders, but Applejack jus spun around and caught Rainbow in her arms, “so cute.”
Rainbow put her arms around Applejack’s shoulders and leaned in for the smooch, and Applejack was more than happy to oblige. Rainbow’s kisses were sweeter than… apple… stuff…
Applejack wasn’t much for mushy language and lavish prose, but the point of it was she loved her girlfriend and she loved kissing her girlfriend and holy crap her girlfriend was so hot it was unbelievable.
“I love you,” Rainbow Dash said softly. No joke, no asides or other comments. Just those three words.
“I love you too,” Applejack said, cradling her beloved girlfriend in her arms and looking deep into her beautiful violet eyes.
“I wish we had more time to spend, like,” Rainbow bit her lip and puffed up her cheeks and Applejack swore she would crush Rainbow with her bare hands if she dared look any more adorable, “just the two of us, y’know?”
“I do,” Applejack sighed and placed Rainbow gently on the ground, her back against the tree as Applejack kissed her neck. “I do. So I say, let’s just savor the time we’ve got.”
“Hmmm,” Rainbow purred, her body squirming from Applejack’s touch in the most satisfying way, “that’s a good idea.”
“Cuz I love you,” Applejack said, kissing Rainbow’s neck between words. “And I’m always gonna love you, so the way I see it we got plenty of time to love each other. There’s a whole lotta daylight left.”
“Metaphorical daylight?” Rainbow asked, then gasped at a particularly well-placed kiss.
“Metaphorical daylight,” Applejack took Rainbow in her arms and pinned her against the grass, stripping off some of her armor and kissing her collarbone. “Literal daylight too, but that’s less relevant to what I’m sayin’.”
“I love—” Rainbow cut herself off with a sharp inhale, her back arching as Applejack’s lips moved down to her chest. “Uhh, wow, I love how fucking hot you are, how about that?”
“I love how strong you make me feel,” Applejack paused, sitting on top of Rainbow, running her fingers through Rainbow’s hair. “Everyone tells me I’m strong, you make me feel it. You believe in me no matter what, and yer always hypin’ me up. The confidence you have in me makes me feel like I can do anything.”
“Yeah, well,” Rainbow chuckled and held out her hand, Applejack bowing her head so Rainbow’s hand could reach her cheek, “I think you can do anything. You’re so incredibly, like, uh— like, I don’t wanna say ‘strong’ cuz that’s redundant, right? But you’re so full of love and affection, and that stuff is powerful. And you’re so full of it! I said that already, but you get it!”
“I do,” Applejack took Rainbow’s fingers and kissed them. “I hope yer not sellin’ yerself short though. I ain’t too good with words, but yer just as full of love and power as I am.”
“And I’m denser with it too cuz my body is smaller,” Rainbow chuckled, and Applejack rolled her eyes playfully.
“Hon,” Applejack exhaled sharply, biting her lip as she looked down at Rainbow’s exposed chest, “don’t even get me started on yer body.”
“I love—” Rainbow hesitated, but only for a sec; she couldn’t make eye contact with Applejack while she spoke, but that was okay. “You make me feel safe, dude. You like? Like not even just physically safe, though that too definitely, but like, I can tell you whatever. I can say shit to you that I’d be too embarrassed to say to someone else. And I know you won’t make fun of me.
“You make me feel… really beautiful, but like, no homo okay?”
“Yes homo,” Applejack kissed Rainbow right on the lips, Rainbow letting out an adorable little gasp once their lips disconnected. “Extremely homo.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Rainbow grabbed Applejack’s shirt collar and tugged her down on top of Rainbow, who licked her lips. “Just the homo-est.”
