Gallus' Confession Problem

Guidance Counsellor Trixie was sitting in her office, waiting for any creature in need of advice, or just talking herself to prevent boredom. The fragile peace was broken by a knock on the door, making her panic as she did not want whoever knocking to know about what she does during free time.

“Come in!” Trixie called to the creature knocking.

Into the room came Gallus, the only griffon at the school. He flew onto the seat for whoever visits the counsellor before greeting, “Goof afternoon, Counsellor Trixie, I believe that I really could use some advice here.”

“Well, then you’re in luck! Because the Great and Powerful Trixie, is also the great Counsellor Trixie!” Trixie declared in her magician’s tone during a performance.

“Back to the main point?” Gallus reminded her after clearing his throat.

“Oh, yes. Thanks for the reminder Gallus, you may now begin.” Trixie replied.

“About the upcoming Hearts and Hooves Day... “ Gallus begun, before Trixie cut him off.

“Ah, yes. Hearts and Hooves Day! The one day of the year where every creature show their love, friendship and care to each other! I may not have any special some pony or creature, but I still have a place in my heart for this day! And...” Trixie dramatically described, before Gallus cleared his throat to catch her attention.

“Sorry, go on.” Trixie told the student.

“Alright. Head-mare Starlight wants us all to confess our views about our relationships to our friends. I know that telling the truth is easy, but not in all situations.” Gallus explained, “Plus, my problem is telling Silverstream how much our relationship meant to me! Or how I think about it! Because...I think that I have some kind of special feelings for her...just like Yona and Sandbar’s feelings for each other...”

“Aha!” Trixie exclaimed, “The Great and Powerful Trixie knows it!”

“Knows what?” a confused Gallus asked.

“That, you, Gallus, has special feelings for your love interest Silverstream!” Trixie clarified.

“What?! Love interest?! You’re just kidding, aren’t you?!” Gallus denied, not noticing his blush.

“Come on, young griffon! You just admitted it! I'm sure telling her won’t be an issue!” Trixie confidently declared.

“Um, hello?! You’re not Silverstream! Telling her won’t be the same as telling you!” Gallus pointed out.

“Oh, then what do you want me to do?” Trixie asked.

“I don’t know. Give advice? Suggest? Help? Train me? Whatever you think can help.” Gallus listed as a reply.

“Wait. Train you! That’s it! I, the Great and Powerful Trixie, shall help you by training you!” Trixie announced in her performance speech tone.

“Shouldn’t we get started?!” Gallus asked.

“Oh, yes. Of course.” Trixie answered.

The next few minutes, Trixie had Gallus to try writing down what he wanted to tell Silverstream, but he only wrote a few words before groaning, “It’s just too hard!”

The next second, a knock on the door could be heard. Not wanting the visitor to see his words, Gallus rolled up the paper and hid it behind his back before Trixie let the creature in.

“Hi, Counsellor Trixie!” Silverstream cheerfully greeted. The young hippogriff trotted in and found who she was looking for. “Gallus! There you are! I’ve been looking all over the school for you! What’s wrong?! Why haven’t you told any creature about why you were acting so strange?”

“Me?! Acting strange?! What are you talking about?!” Gallus asked, nervous chuckling as he spoke, with cold sweat flowing down his chin.

A series of flashbacks then presented to his mind:

In the first flashback, during Loyalty Class...

“Alright, every creature! I know that Hearts and Hooves Day is coming, but it is no excuse to let it make you forget about your best friends just to be with your Special some creature. Now for the topic of the day: Caring about others! You are meant to care about your friends more than anything else! Show support, friendship, love...” Rainbow Dash declared, before being interrupted by Gallus’ screaming as his eyes went red.

“AAAAHHHH!”

“What is it, Gallus?!” Rainbow turned to her student.

“I don’t know! All this talking about love...just...I can’t say it!” he panicked.

In the second flashback, during Generosity Class...

“Now, class. Today we all will be making our Hearts and Hooves Day Gift Basket! Meant to be for all of our friends!” Rarity explained. “Now, here’s the basket, the first must-have thing, and now the Love Letters!”

“WHAT?!” Gallus shrieked, going crazy around love-related words.

“Um, Gallus? Would you be a good dear and explain what’s wrong with you?” Rarity asked.

“What’s wrong with me?! I...can’t...say anything! Just...go on, as if nothing happened!” Gallus stumbled as he replied.

In the third and final flashback, during Honesty Class...

“Now, every creature, today we’ll be helping you prepare for your confessions on Hearts and Hooves Day. You know, confess your friendship and love...” Applejack explained, before being interrupted by Gallus’ uncomfortable shouting.

“I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! WHY ISN’T THERE ANY ESCAPE FROM THIS LOVE THING?!” he asked, before fainting.

In the present, Gallus let out a nervous chuckle before saying, “I guess that that whole Hearts and Hooves Day thing was really driving me nuts.”

“So, are you okay? Now?” Silverstream asked, expressing concern.

Gallus gulped. He did appreciate every time Silverstream showed her care towards him, and how much she appreciated him, but this time, it was making him nervous. He briefly blushed before replying, “Everything’s near fine! Thanks for trying to help! And caring about me! I’m sure Guidance Counsellor Trixie can help! See you later!”

“Are you sure?” asked Silverstream, noticing how obvious it was that Gallus was not alright.

“Just...need a little PRIVATE time with the Counsellor, nothing to worry about.” Gallus told her, before she left, uncomfortably and curious about his behaviour.

“Man...that was close.” he told Trixie.

“Too close. You almost spilled the beans without telling her!” Trixie replied.

“What do you mean ’without telling her’? How can she know if no creature tell her?” Gallus asked.

“Well...when Trixie was with her best friend, your Head-mare Starlight, she learnt many times that actions speak louder than words, so even though you did not say anything, your behaviour and actions are a major giveaway.”
Trixie explained in third-creature,.

Gallus panicked after hearing the explanation, “Oh no! If she ever figures it out, who knows what she’ll do?! She might never act the same towards me ever again!”
