202. Rarity Has Much Healthier Ideas About Relationships

Twilight’s kisses were like magic on Rarity’s lips.

Waking up beside her beloved Twilight Sparkle, her serene sleeping face being Rarity’s first introduction into a brand new morning, was something Rarity had yearned for almost since they had first met, and the reality was so much better than any of her fantasies could have been.

And when Twilight stirred awake, and the first words out of her lips were “Hello, beautiful”, Rarity’s heart nearly exploded with affection, and she couldn’t help but wrap her arms around the woman she loved and kiss her like Rarity had never kissed anyone before.

Everything was just perfect.

All the waiting, all the obstacles, all the anxiety and depression and the horrifying turns that both women’s lives had taken since they met; if all of those things had led up to this one moment, Rarity would go back through them all in a heartbeat if she needed to.

Twilight yawned and stretched her arms over her head, and sweet stars what a sight it was. Her body was small and slender, but something that was not obvious from the way she dressed or acted, that Rarity only realized once she had gotten naked with her, was that Twilight’s tiny frame belied an absolute iron wall of muscle.

Touching Twilight’s chest was like touching a wall, and it was the hottest damn thing Rarity had ever seen, and watching those muscles move as Twilight went about her morning stretching routine was going to drive Rarity to madness.

Twilight put her hooves on the floor, and Rarity wrapped her hands around Twilight’s waist.

“Nooooo,” Rarity whined, “don’t leave yet.”

“Rarity, I have to go,” Twilight laughed, taking Rarity’s hands off of her body slowly, and then kneeling beside the bed and kissing each of Rarity’s individual fingers. “We have a lot of responsibilities and galas to prepare for.”

“But I just wanna lie in bed and make out with you,” Rarity pouted, and Twilight giggled, leaning over the bed to give Rarity a kiss on her nose, that made Rarity giggle like a smitten schoolfilly.

“I know, I do too,” Twilight sighed. “But we have so much to do! This gala’s a big deal! I just wanna make sure I have everything prepared. You know how I am.”

“I do, I do,” Rarity said as Twilight turned around and walked toward the chair sitting in the corner where the two had thrown their clothes, Twilight bending over to pick something up and Rarity biting her lip. “Thank you for at least giving me a show before you leave though.”

Twilight jumped and turned around, her whole body stiffening up as she covered herself with the robes in her hands, her face turning bright red.

“Rarity!” she squeaked, her voice cracking in the most adorable way possible, and Rarity just responded by sticking out her tongue and kicking her hooves in the air behind her. “Well,” Twilight cleared her throat, and while her face was still red, she was clearly trying to act cool, “not to put too fine a point on it, but I wouldn’t mind getting ‘a show’ from you before I leave.”

“Oh?” Rarity arched an eyebrow.

Rarity swung her legs out from behind her and onto the floor, jumping to her hooves and taking a deep breath, arching her back and sticking out her chest before giving a breathy sigh and looking Twilight right in the eye.

“Was that okay?”

“That wasn’t bad,” Twilight bit her lip and walked up to Rarity, putting her hands around Rarity’s waist. “But I just realized, why just look when I can touch?”

Twilight kissed Rarity while her hands found themselves on Rarity’s hips, Rarity throwing her arms around Twilight’s shoulders and kissing her as passionately as she was able.

“Your curves are just-” Twilight balled up her hand and bit down on it for a moment, letting out a quick moan “-outstanding.”

“I could write a book on all of your features that turn me on, Twilight Sparkle,” Rarity sighed and licked her lips.

“Ooh, I’d like that,” Twilight chirped, and Rarity couldn’t stop giggling.

“I bet you would,” she said, before giving Twilight another kiss.

Rarity guided Twilight over to the wall and pinned her against it, just ravishing her body with kisses; to her lips, to her shoulders, to her chest, to her, uhhh lower than her chest. Just kisses for days. She honestly felt like she could do this all day.

If her life became nothing but kissing Twilight Sparkle, that would be just fine.

“Rarity,” Twilight panted as she sat down in the officially designated clothing chair, the pair’s steamy makeout session drawing to a close as Rarity wiped off her face with a fresh towel, “I really do need to go now.”

“I know, that’s fine, darling,” Rarity said.

“I want to talk to Applejack and Rainbow Dash about our plans.”

Twilight said with a giddy smile, and Rarity’s heart… it didn’t ‘sink’ exactly; it was a strange mixture, a feeling of intense joy for her dearest, and a melancholy feeling of missing out.

“We aren’t going to have a lot of time for each other during the gala itself,” Twilight continued, “and none of us are super comfortable with these big parties anyway, so we’re gonna make sure we have time for a date before we go to the Crystal Empire, just the three of us.”

“That sounds lovely, my darling,” Rarity sighed and sat herself on Twilight’s lap, wrapping her arms around her dearest and planting a kiss on the side of her neck. “I wish I hadn't missed out… on the opportunity to have you all to myself.”

“Rarity…”

“You don’t have to worry about me, my sweet,” Rarity giggled and jumped to her hooves. “I’m a little jealous of our dear Applejack and Rainbow Dash, I won’t try to deny it. But I am genuinely, sincerely thrilled for you.

“I love you, Twilight Sparkle,” Rarity said fondly, the utter soul-smothering truth of that statement washing over her like a waterfall. “I love you, and I am honestly thrilled to support your romantic endeavors. Because at the end of the day, all that matters is that I love you, and seeing you happy makes me happy.”

“Thank you, Rarity,” Twilight said, holding out her hand.

“Not a problem at all, Twilight,” Rarity took Twilight’s hand and helped her out of the chair, gently squeezing Twilight’s hand and sighing softly.

“I’ll be sure to repay your kindness,” Twilight said, kissing Rarity.

“My kindness is free,” Rarity replied, and she couldn’t resist giving Twilight just one more little kiss. “And besides,” Rarity giggled, “before you know it, Rainbow Dash is going to be in my bed, and you’re the one who’s going to be jealous.”

“Why would I be jealous?” Twilight scoffed. “I’ll be in the same bed.”

Rarity smiled ear to ear at that stellar mental imagery.

“Well!” Rarity chirped. “On that charming note, I wish you well, Twilight Sparkle.”

“Thank you kindly, Rarity,” Twilight said, giving an adorable little bow and kissing Rarity’s hand. “I’ll see you tonight, for the gala.”

“Darling,” Rarity took in a deep breath, and she almost felt like she needed to pinch herself to wake up from what must have been just a glorious dream, “I can’t wait.”
