Turquoise continued on her way to Vermillion City when she saw a building up ahead. As soon as Turquoise arrived at the building she saw a man with black hair and glasses along with a woman with long purple hair getting into an argument with a blonde-haired woman wearing a purple business suit.

“ We are not letting you tear down our pride and joy,” The man shouted.

“ And for the last time you don't have a choice the bank has given me the right to tear this gaudy place down for my new resort,” The blonde woman said.

“ Liar we paid our lease yesterday,” The purple-haired woman said.

“ Not according to this,” The blonde woman said while pulling out a permit signed by the bank. The fighting kept going until the blonde woman got fed up and left but not before telling the couple to get ready to leave before the bulldozers arrive. After witnessing the argument Turquoise decided to see what it was about.

“ Sorry you had to see that young lady and I’m sorry to say that our Pokemon Sanctuary is not open today,” The man said.

“ Because that woman wants to tear it down?” Turquoise asked.

“ Exactly. We put so much love and care into this place for over ten years we don't want to see it go,” The woman said.

“ I never saw a Pokemon Sanctuary before, what do you guys do?” Turquoise asked.

“ We take care of any wild pokemon who are injured or need a safe place to hide from poachers and then release them back into the wild,” The woman said.

“ Sounds awesome,” Turquoise said.

“ Glad to know someone thinks so. “ I’m Adrian and this is my wife Megumi,” Adrian said while referring to his wife.

“ I’m Turquoise,” Turquoise said.

“ Since you will most likely be the last person to see this place, allow us to give you a tour,” Adrian said. Adrian and Megumi showed Turquoise the many environments they set up for various types of pokemon along with feeding stations and such. They suddenly stop by a spot were a girl only a few years younger than Turquoise was tending to a wild Fearow with a broken wing.

“ Juniper saw hello to our visitor Turquoise,” Megumi said getting the girl’s attention.

“ Hello,” Juniper said before returning to her work on Fearow.

“ Juniper is our daughter. She loves to tend to the wild Pokemon that come here. Losing our Sanctuary will devastate her worst of all,” Megumi said.

“ Then let’s not let that happen,” Turquoise said.

“ How? the bank gave her permission to tear our Sanctuary down,” Megumi said.

“ Something feels off about that. You said you paid your lease yesterday, correct?” Turquoise asked.

“ We did,” Adrian said.

“ Then why would they give that lady permission to do this if you paid your lease,” Turquoise asked as Juniper came in.

“ Your right, there is something suspicious about that smelly lady,” Juniper said.

“ Juniper? How much did you hear?” Megumi asked.

“ Everything and Turquoise is right,” Juniper said.

“ But what can we do?” Adrian asked.

“ Investigate,” Juniper said.

“ We are not detectives and if we even try we could end up in bigger trouble,” Megumi said.

“ Fine,” Juniper said dejectedly as she went up to her room.

“ Say Turquoise are you a Trainer?” Adrian asked.

“ I just started my journey,” Turquoise said.

“ Do you think what ms Milligan said about putting a resort here is good or bad?” Megumi asked.

“ What she said is wrong, this place is special, your family helps pokemon in need without the need to contain them. A place like this should be protected from greedy people like her,” Turquoise said.

“ You have no idea how much it warms our hearts to hear you say that,” Megumi said. Adrian and Megumi noticed how late it was getting and offered to let Turquoise spend the night with them. Turquoise accepted and Adrian showed her the guest room. Later that night Turquoise heard the sound of someone falling and ran to see what it was. Turquoise saw it was Juniper sneaking out.

“ Juniper where are you going at this late hour?” Turquoise asked.

“ To do some investigating. Mom and Dad may not want to do something but I won't let some smelly skuntank tear down what my parents worked so hard to build. If they want to punish me for it then that’s fine with me as long as their dream is still standing I can survive without any toys,” Juniper said.

“ You care so much about the sanctuary that you’re even willing to get yourself grounded for it?” Turquoise said in shock.

“ Of course my parents love Pokemon so much that they wanted to do something to help them and so do I,” Juniper said.

“ Then I’m coming with you,” Turquoise said. After joining forces Juniper and Turquoise walked towards what looked like a construction site. The site was empty which confused Turquoise.

“ Are you sure this is the right place?” Turquoise asked.

“ Of course I’m sure this is where Louise Milligan is setting up shop until she can demolish our land,” Juniper said. They entered the trailer and started poking around while Luise is not around. Turquoise found a stack of papers all with the same thing written on them.

“ I’m guessing Louise Milligan hasn’t passed first grade,” Turquoise said jokingly while showing Juniper what she found.

“These aren’t worksheets they are penmanship samples she must have been trying to forge something,” Juniper said.

“ My guess is the letter from the bank,” Turquoise said. Juniper kept searching and found Louise’s journal. After opening it and flipping to the section with today’s date Turquoise read what was inside.

“ I found the perfect place to build my luxury resort I just need to clear away that stupid Pokemon Sanctuary and luckily for me I was able to get a sample of the bank manager’s signature and forge a letter tricking those hippies into abandoning that eyesore they call a home. I may have been throated on Cappucci Island but not this time,” The entry said.

“ Do you think this is enough evidence to save our Sanctuary?” Juniper asked.

“ Not yet we still need something to link her to the evidence,” Turquoise said before she got a strong whiff coming from the journal and the forged document that she left on the desk. “ What kind of scent is this? It smells like the perfume department at my local mall. Juniper took a sniff and suddenly saw the link they were looking for.

“ That lady reeked of the same scent and that Spritzee of hers was not making things better,” Juniper said.

“ I’ll have to look that up later but for now we have all we need so let’s get out of here,” Turquoise said before they picked up the scent of Louise and her very potent perfume indicating she was coming. Turquoise and Juniper hid in the closet and as soon as Louise came in she noticed her stuff was missing and saw the closet door slightly open.

“ Whoever is in there come out now or my Spritzee will flush you out,” Louise said which prompted Turquoise and Juniper to come out. “ You're that kid from earlier and you’re the daughter of those two who owns the building I will demolish.

“ Your finished you stinky monster thanks to my new friend we have all the evidence we need to save my parent’s dream,” Juniper said.

“ And who is going to stop me? You? You're just a brat with no pokemon,” Louise said mockingly.

“ But I have some. Go Ivysaur,” Turquoise said as she called her Ivysaur out. “ You might want to cover your mouth Juniper. Juniper did as instructed and pulled the collar of her shirt over her mouth as did Turquoise. “ Ivysaur use Poison Powder. Ivysaur unleashed his Poison Powder which filled the whole Trailer. Turquoise recalled her Ivysaur before she and Juniper ran out the door which sent the Poison Powder into the air outside.

“ You had your Pokemon on you the whole time?” Juniper said.

“ I never leave without them,” Turquoise said as they kept running back to the Sanctuary. As soon as they got back Juniper and Turquoise snuck back in only for Adrian and Megumi to turn the lights on.

“ And where have you two been?” Adrian asked.

“ Forgive me Adrain and Megumi I heard Juniper sneaking out and went to find out where she was going,” Turquoise said.

“ And it was worth it. look at what we discovered,” Juniper said, showing them the evidence she and Turquoise collected. Adrian took a look at the journal entry and was relieved to hear that the bank did not permit her to tear down what he and his wife and daughter worked so hard for.

“ But what do we do Louise Milligan will most definitely be coming with more than just bulldozers now,” Megumi said.

“ Not if we turn this evidence over to the police,” Turquoise said.

“ Easier said than done. The nearest Police station is in Vermillion City and that is three hours away on foot,” Adrian said.

“ But not by air. Megumi, do you have a sturdy enough cloth we can use to wrap the evidence in?” Turquoise said.

“ Give me a few minutes to find one,” Megumi said before running to her sewing room. Meanwhile, Adrian was busy writing a letter to the police explaining what the evidence was for. A few minutes later Megumi comes back with a black cloth big enough to wrap the evidence in.

“ I have the cloth now, can you tell us what exactly your planning to do,” Megumi asked.

“ As Adrian pointed out it would take three hours for us to get to Vermillion City but for my Corvisquire it should only take less than one so while Corvisquire delivers the evidence we prepare to hold our ground until the police show up,” Turquoise explained.

“ That’s brilliant Corvisquire can lift heavy things and are fast,” Megumi said while wrapping up the evidence for delivery.

“ Go Corvisquire,” Turquoise said before calling out her Corvisquire.

“ Corvi,” Corvisquire said.

“ Corvisquire we need you to deliver this to the Police station in Vermillion City can you do it?” Turquoise said with Corvisquire nodding yes before grabbing the bag and flying off.





An hour later Corvisquire arrived at the Police Station. An Officer noticed Corvisquire and approached it.

“ What do you have there?” The officer asked before he took it into a woman with light blue hair. “ Mam we have a delivery from a rare looking Corvisquire. The woman unfolded the cloth and saw a note on top of the evidence and read it.

“ Dear Officer Jenny, we are the victims of an evil woman called Louise Milligan trying to steal our beloved Pokemon Sanctuary. Enclosed in this cloth is the evidence my daughter gathered to prove our case. Please Help. Adrian and Megumi Watcher,” The note said.

“ What do you think mam?” The officer asked while Jenny was looking over the case on Cappuchi Island and looked ready to take action.

“ We shall set out first thing in the morning,” Jenny said. Sometime later Corvisquire returned with the cloth and Turquoise recalled him and went to sleep along with everyone else.





The next day Turquoise and the watcher family were standing their ground against the bulldozers waiting for the police to arrive.

“ You may have taken my journal and that note but I know you were not able to turn it into the cops on time so just give up and I might drop the charges before I press them,” Louise said before the sound of sirens was heard. The squad car stopped and Officer Jenny came out with her Growlithe.

“ Louise Milligan you are under arrest for forgery and attempting to tear down a national treasure,” Jenny said before slapping the cuffs on Louise who looked flustered.

“ How can this be? Vermillion City is three hours from here on foot there is no way you could have sent those there on time,” Louise said in a flustered tone

“ Who said we traveled on foot? We used airmail courtesy of Turquoise’s Corvisquire,” Juniper said.

“ So that rare colored Corvisquire was yours?” Jenny asked Turquoise.

“ Yep Corvisquire can use tools in battle so I had him deliver the evidence before Louise Milligan even knew we already turned it in,” Turquoise said.

“ Clever girl,” Jenny said before shoving Louise in the back of her squad car. As soon as the police left and the construction workers about to clear out now that their contract with Louise now null and void the foreman stepped up to the Watchers to express his apologies on behalf of him and his crew.

“ Sorry for the trouble folks have a nice day,” The foreman said before leaving.

“ So Turquoise where are you heading now?” Juniper asked.

“ To Vermillion City to challenge the Vermillion City Gym Leader,” Turquoise said.

“ If you were going to Vermillion City, why didn't you ask Jenny for a ride?” Adrian asked.

“ Because it would be more enjoyable to take the scenic route besides I need the distance to have this hatch,” Turquoise said while showing them her egg.

“ You have a Pokemon Egg and judging by the way it is shaking occasionally it’s close to hatching,” Megumi said.

“ I can't wait to see what hatches,” Turquoise said excitedly before leaving.

“ Good luck at the Vermillion City Gym,” Juniper shouted.
