Twilight's POV
"What did you do? There's no way of getting out of this cave. Ever!" the brown haired girl with blue eyes said. It sounded half like a treat and half like she was worried and frustrated.
The way she looked, she seemed to have been here for a long time. Her hair wasn't brushed, her clothes dirty, she looked pretty exhausted and I don't even know how she survived since there was neither food nor water around.
Discord looked at her, his eyes filling with joy. "Mel? Mel!"
"Discord?" she suddenly threw a wand she was holding and they both ran to each other and hugged. After hugging they kissed.
"Aww! Cute!" Fluttershy was happy.
"Oh great!" Rainbow was annoyed. "We found Mel but now we are forever stuck in some random cave! How great!"
"I never stopped looking for you" Discord said. Mel and him were completly ignoring us.
"And how did she even survive? There's no food" I said.
"Aw! I have hoped you were still out there searching for me!"
"Or water!" Applejack added.
"How could I ever stop? I love you Mel!" Discord said.
"Or anything to do!" Pinkie said. "Except that shiny glowing crystal."
"I love you too!" Mel said before they kissed again.
"Are those plants growing inside?" Rainbow was surprised.
"How long have you been in this cave?" Discord asked.
"Almost ever since I got here. I fell in pretty soon and realized there is no way out. I have been trying to get out ever since then."
"Wow! That's a lot!"
"Yeah! But tell me what happened? Why did Stacy do this?" she started to get sad and desperate.
"Oh right" Discord's expression got sadder. "You don't know."
"We are a bit short on time. How did you even survive in this place?" Sunset asked.
"It's quite a long story" Mel said. "I have found a way to grow plants inside and found fresh water. Didn't get sunlight in over a year though. Oh! If you want to there is some food left!" she offered them questionable thing that didn't look eatable at all. "Try it, it doesn't taste very good but it is eatable!"
"Um, no thanks", Fluttershy said awkwardly.
"Yeah, we are good!" I added.
"Are we gonna be stuck in this cave forever?" Rarity asked. "How will I ever wear some other clothes! I knew I should have worn my favorite dress!"
"Yeah" Applejack was sarcastic, "because that's the real problem here."
"It is one of the problems, Applejack!" Rarity was annoyed.
"Oh come on!" Mel said still offering food. "I have cooked this myself."
"That's it!" Pinkie snapped. "I am gonna go in the corner and try to accept the fact that we are maybe trapped in this cave forever with the girl that maybe went insane from being in this small space alone for so long or maybe the fact that we are all characters from a cartoon that are in a Harry Potter crossover fanfiction!"
"A what?" I was so confused.
"Nothing", she said kinda disappointed and sat down and curled up on the floor. There is no time for that, we need to get out. "We only have 2 hours left!"
"Actually now it's only 1 hour and 40 minutes" Sunset said.
"Shut up!" Rarity yelled and everyone looked at her. "Good. Now that I have your attention..." and then she continued very angrily and in panic, "what is happening? Where are we? How do we get out? Why is this crystal here? I don't want to be stuck in here for longer than 2 hours!"
"Well" Mel said. "We are trapped in a cave that only opens from above. It didn't open ever since I fell in it before you guys came."
"Perfect!" Rainbow was still sarcastic.
"I'm not sure how do we get out or if we even can get out. I think we possibly could get out with this crystal" Mel was hopeful. "I figured out it is connected with the one in Forbidden Forest."
"That's great!" Sunset was happy. We all were.
"But!"
"Of course!" Rainbow said, still using the same annoyed sarcastic tone.
"To activate it one needs to do a spell and hold it. Otherwise no one can pass through it. The only way we can get out is for someone to stay trapped here while other leave."
"Oh no!" I said.
"What are we gonna do?" Applejack asked.
Mel sighed. "I guess it is only fair I open the portal and let you all leave. I have been here for a while and got used to it. You all need to find a way to save me."
"No!" Discord said. "I can't leave you again! Not now when I finally got you back."
"We have to do it."
"I'll stay!"
"No!" Fluttershy suddenly said but when everyone turned around to see her she just shyly said, "no offense, Mel."
"Not taken. Pink haired girl is right! Imagine if I came back after all this time. It would be a lot harder for me to find a place and manage to stay at Hogwarts without them locking the cave once again. And how would we explain where you are?"
"They would rescue me, they know now it is safe to enter."
"They didn't rescue me all this time!"
"They didn't know."
"Dumbledore knew! I bet he did!" Mel was angry. "He just doesn't care at all about his students!"
"Mel..."
"Please. You all need to go before full Moon stops. Find me and rescue me!" she said as she cast the spell to open the portal. Tears fell down Discord's face and Mel and him kissed before they broke apart. "I'll be back in no time and then we will be able to finish Hogwarts and move in together as we always planned." she said smiling and then pushed him into the crystal.
"No!" was heard from Discord before he disappeared.
"Hey Mel" I said, "not that I doubt your ability to figure things out or anything but are you sure that will take us back to Forbidden Forest? Are you sure it's safe?"
"Ugh, yes! Just go in!" Mel was annoyed.
And we all went in, leaving Mel once again alone in the darkness of a cave.
