Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy slept in three beds in blue and purple colors, and with purple blankets. In the bedroom, it had a light blue crystal window, a purple side table and a yellow lamp. Chrysalis could feel the rays of sunlight on her face. She looked annoyed. She didn’t want to wake up. Not now that she was living in her enemy’s castle. She put the pillow in her face with her magic, hoping that the sun wouldn’t wake her up and get up. Them didn’t notice, but the bedroom door opened, revealing itself to be Twilight, which had a neutral expression. She went first to the bed where Cozy was and nudged the foal lightly with a hoof.

 “Cozy, please wake up,” said Twilight Sparkle.

 Cozy shifted on the bed, but didn’t wake up or get up. Twilight decided to try Tirek. Maybe the minotaur would wake up?

 “Tirek, I came here to tell you that the coffee is on the table.” explained Twilight Sparkle as she poked Tirek.

 Tirek, like Cozy, didn’t wake up, just moved. Twilight decided to try to wake Chrysalis. She nudged Chrysalis.

 “Chrysalis, wake up, please.” asked Twilight Sparkle politely. She began to imagine that Chrysalis would do the same as Cozy and Tirek.

 But to her surprise, Chrysalis got up and pulled the pillow out of her face, and she wasn’t at all happy to have been woken up, especially by her enemy. Twilight couldn’t deny that she felt a little scared as her ears drooped.

 “Why did you wake me up?! Can’t you see that I want to continue sleeping?!” shouted Chrysalis as her tongue moved like a snake.

 Twilight has recovered from fear. “I just came here to tell you that the coffee is already on the table, Chrysalis.”

 “But why did you have to wake me up?! Why didn’t you wake up Cozy or Tirek instead of me?!” shouted Chrysalis, still annoyed that she had been woken.

 “I already tried to wake them up, but they didn’t.” explained Twilight Sparkle.

 Chrysalis snorted as she looked to the side and crossed her hooves. “I might as well wake up alone...”

 “I fully understand that you don’t like my presence, but at least try to cooperate, okay?” said Twilight Sparkle.

 Cozy and Tirek woke up, still with a little weariness present in them. Cozy scratched her eyes with a hoof as Tirek stretched. Twilight went to the two with a smile.

 “How nice! You two are already up,” she said.

 Cozy and Tirek looked at Twilight confusedly as they raised an eyebrow. Why did Twilight say that?

 “What do you mean, how good?” asked Cozy Glow.

 “Because Spike already made breakfast. The three of you just need to be in the dining room. Come!” replied Twilight Sparkle. She started walking. The trio followed Twilight. Chrysalis still couldn’t believe that Twilight wanted to wake her up just so they could eat, she would rather still be in bed and never wake up from this nightmare.

 Twilight started to think about how she should start the process of reforming the trio. Perhaps she could try to understand the motivations of each of the three, discover the past of each one, how it was that each one became evil, and then explain to each one a solution to that.

 Upon arriving at the dining room, the trio saw that there were six pancakes and six chairs on the table. And who was sitting eating was Spike and Starlight. When Chrysalis saw Starlight, she felt anger wash over her. Why was the mare who made her subjects stand against her was here? She looked at Twilight, not happy.

 “Why is this traitorous mare is here?” asked Chrysalis.

 Twilight Sparkle looked at Chrysalis surprised to have called Starlight a traitor. “She’s been living here in the castle since I reformed her.”

 “Can’t she be living somewhere far away from here?” asked Chrysalis, still sulky.

 “No. I allow her to live here, and I’m not going to tell her to leave just because of you,” replied Twilight Sparkle.

 The quartet approached the table and sat down. Twilight sat on the left side of Starlight, and Spike on the right side of Twilight, and Chrysalis was sitting in the middle, Cozy on the left side of Chrysalis, and Tirek on the right side of Chrysalis. Everypony started to eat, except Chrysalis, who was still in a bad mood. Why should she eat this food? Chrysalis looked at Starlight, she felt anger and hatred at seeing Starlight smile while eating the pancake. Because of Starlight, she lost not only her subjects, but her kingdom.

 Twilight looked at Chrysalis, and noticed that she didn’t even start eating. “Chrysalis, aren’t you going to eat your pancake?”

 Chrysalis looked at Twilight, still angry. “No. I’m not hungry.”

 Twilight was surprised by the tone of Chrysalis. She knew that Chrysalis was angry, but she didn’t imagine seeing the former queen of changelings so angry with her. Why was Chrysalis like this? She intended to find out.

 



 When they finished eating, less Chrysalis not even touching her pancake, Starlight left the place and Spike took the plates with the crumbs. But when he saw that Chrysalis didn’t even eat, he went to Chrysalis to ask.

 “Chrysalis, haven’t you eaten a piece?” asked Spike.

 Angered, Chrysalis looked at Spike angrily as she moved her tongue like a snake. “No. Why?”

 Spike was surprised by Chrysalis’ tone. “Calm. I just wanted to ask, not to offend.”

 Chrysalis stopped moving her tongue and looked away, irritated. “I know…”

 “So, could you please answer my question?” asked Spike gently.

 “I didn’t eat because I’m not going to eat anything from my enemies!” shouted Chrysalis. “And I think it’s good that you don’t ask me about it anymore, or else, I’ll suck all your love!”

 Spike was startled by the threat. “S-sure. I’m sorry,” he picked up Chrysalis’s food plate and ran to the kitchen.

 Twilight watched Spike go to the kitchen in a surprised way. When he was out of sight of her, Twilight looked at Chrysalis, not at all happy. Chrysalis noticed Twilight’s expression, and she was confused, but still sulky.

 “What is it?” asked Chrysalis.

 “Why did you threaten him?” asked Twilight Sparkle, still not happy that Chrysalis had threatened her number one assistant.

 “I threatened him because he asked the obvious for somepony superior to him,” replied Chrysalis.

 Twilight was about to say that Chrysalis shouldn’t feel superior to the others, but she was stopped when she heard a knock on the door. Twilight started walking to the door. Chrysalis, Cozy and Tirek decided to follow Twilight just out of curiosity. Twilight opened the door with her magic and saw that it was her friends. Pinkie held a picnic basket in her mouth and Rarity wore a pink hat with a light pink feather. Twilight smiled.

 “Girls!” Twilight gave a group hug. The others returned the hug. Pinkie dropped the basket on the floor so she could hug Twilight.

 The trio had mixed reactions when they saw this beautiful scene: Chrysalis was disgusted, Tirek looked not happy at all as it reminded him of what Scorpan had said in the past about friendship being important, and Cozy smiled innocently.

 As they left the hug, Pinkie Pie said, “Twilight, we are going to have a picnic in the park. Would you and the ex-Legion of Doom like to go with us?”

 “I’ll. Now, about the trio, I’m going to ask them,” replied Twilight Sparkle. “You can go ahead.”

 Twilight’s friends turned and started walking. Twilight turned and went over to Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy.

 “Me and my friends are going to have a picnic in the park, would you three like to go with me?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

 “I don’t want to stay here in the castle doing anything, so yes,” replied Tirek.

 “I would also like to come along,” replied Cozy Glow.

 Twilight Sparkle looked at Chrysalis, who was still pissed. “What about you, Chrysalis? Would you like to go to the picnic?”

 “No!” shouted Chrysalis.

 Twilight Sparkle was confused. “But why not?”

 “Because I’m going to have to stay with your filthy friends,” said Chrysalis in a disgusted voice.

 Twilight looked offended by the comment and the way Chrysalis spoke, but she decided to ask something. “Chrysalis, why don’t you support my presence?”

 Chrysalis seemed surprised by the question. “It is not obvious? You were the one who discovered that I was the fake Cadence, and you ruined my plan to dominate Equestria!”

 “But I don’t understand. Why did you want to dominate Equestria on my brother and ex-foalsitter’s wedding day?” asked Twilight Sparkle.

 “Because my subjects, or rather, ex-subjects!” she glared at Twilight. Twilight was a little scared. But Chrysalis soon continued. “... they were very hungry. And I had already gone everywhere looking for love to feed them. When I arrived in Equestria, I found that I had more love than anywhere else I have ever been. I saw the perfect opportunity for my ex-subjects to feed on the love of ponies.”

 “But why dominate Equestria if you had already found what you wanted?” asked Twilight Sparkle as she lifted a hoof.

 Chrysalis looked to the side. She hated talking about it. Especially for an enemy. “Because I thought that if I mastered Equestria, my ex-subjects and I would have all the love for ourselves. And that reason is the same as why I captured you, your filthy friends, Shining Armor, your two friends and the princesses. I captured you and the others so that I and the changelings could have all the love of Equestria without being stopped.”

 Twilight lowered the hoof. She was surprised by this revelation. She never imagined that Chrysalis was actually just doing her job as the queen of changelings. Before, she thought she was just an evil changeling queen who just wanted to suck the love of everypony in front of her. But she wondered what Crysalis’s past was like and what made her evil. Like, Chrysalis couldn’t be born with malice, right? Well, she planned to ask that question in the other day.

 Twilight Sparkle immediately smiled. She decided to believe that now that Chrysalis had vented, she would agree to go to the picnic. “Chrysalis, how did you vent your feelings, would you like to go to the picnic with my friends?”

 “No,” replied Chrysalis, without thinking twice.

 Twilight Sparkle hit the hoof on the floor in anger. But she soon had an idea. “OK. You don’t have to go.”

 Chrysalis was relieved by this and smiled.

 Twilight Sparkle turned and started walking. Cozy and Tirek followed. “But I’m already warning you that Starlight is still in my castle. Maybe you two can spend that day together.”

 Chrysalis was surprised. Was Starlight still in the castle? She didn’t want to stay or spend a day at the castle with that mare who made her subjects go against her. She couldn’t believe she was going to say it, but she was going to say it.

 “Wait!” shouted Chrysalis as she lifted a hoof. Twilight Sparkle stopped walking, and turned to Chrysalis. Chrysalis lowered the hoof. “I’m going with you, Cozy and Tirek.”

 Twilight Sparkle smiled. “Well, if you want to go along, follow me. I will lead the way to the park. My friends are already waiting for us.”

 



 Upon arriving at the park, Twilight and the three villains saw that the picnic blanket was already on the grass, the five mares were waiting for Twilight. They approached. Chrysalis still couldn’t believe that she agreed to go to that damn picnic.

 When the fours got very close to the five mares, they turned and smiled when they saw Twilight.

 “Why did you take so long, Twilight?” asked Pinkie Pie.

 “I had a conversation with Chrysalis,” replied Twilight Sparkle as she looked at Chrysalis from the corner of her eye.

 Pinkie Pie looked at Chrysalis and noticed that she wasn’t smiling. She went to Chrysalis. Chrysalis watched Pinkie approach.

 “Come on, ex-queen of changelings, smile!” said Pinkie Pie in an animated tone.

 Chrysalis was sulky. “I will not smile.”

 “I know what will make you happy! A party!” shouted Pinkie Pie.

 “Pinkie, we are having a picnic now.” recap Twilight Sparkle.

 “I know, silly. So, I’m having a party for Chrysalis after the picnic.”

 Chrysalis couldn’t believe what she heard. Not only would she be at a picnic, but she would then go to a party! Worse, she knew very well what Pinkie’s party would be like. Because when she was disguised as Cadence, she noticed that when Pinkie showed her the games and songs had children’s party decorations. It was like a party for a four year old foal!

 Twilight looked at Chrysalis and noticed that she wasn’t happy at all. She returned to look at Pinkie.

 “Pinkie, it’s very kind of you to want to make Chrysalis happy, but I think you better not do that,” said Twilight Sparkle.

 Pinkie Pie was confused. “But why not, Twilight? It is to cheer up Chrysalis.”

 “I know, Pinkie. But she is still very angry. I don’t want to offend you, but I believe that her bad mood will get even worse with your party. So I think you better have a party when she’s not that angry anymore.” explained Twilight Sparkle.

 “Oh. Come on!” asked Pinkie Pie happily as she jumped on the spot.

“No, Pinkie,” said Twilight Sparkle as she shook her head.

 Pinkie Pie started to think before answering, “okie dokie lookie!”

 Chrysalis’ anger changed to surprise. Her mouth was open, literally. Twilight, her enemy, told Pinkie not to throw the party to cheer her up after the picnic for her because she is angry? She never imagined that Twilight would do that for her. Not after what she did to Equestria. Wait. Why was she was thinking that her actions were wrong? She did right as the queen of changelings from the start! She wasn’t the wrong one in the story! The culprit of her losing everything was the ponies!

 Everypony approached the picnic blanket and sat down. Each took something to eat. Pinkie ate a strawberry cupcake, Applejack and Cozy ate an apple, Rainbow drank water, Twilight bit a bit of the daisy sandwich while smiling, Fluttershy a salad, Rarity watched the weather, Tirek ate a cucumber sandwich and Chrysalis didn’t even touch the food, she observed them with crossed hooves the six mares. Then she looked at Tirek and Cozy, who both were smiling. She didn’t understand why Cozy and Tirek wanted to come to this picnic in the beginning.

 While Twilight was eating she started to wonder if she should forgive Discord. She knew that Discord did that to help her prepare for her new role, but even so, she might not have been able to, since the Elements of Harmony were now destroyed. Who destroyed it was King Sombra, who was revived by Discord and was part of the Legion of Doom. She didn’t know if Discord should be forgiven.She knew this was hypocritical to her, since she was giving the ex-Legion of Doom a chance for forgiveness and redemption but not for Discord. But it was Discord who brought the villains together, and not the villains who joined the Discord. She wasn’t one hundred percent sure yet, so she had to think better.

She looked at her friends and started to wonder if they would forgive Discord for what he did. She didn’t know if she should come up with this subject now or leave it for another day. Because she wanted to know if any of her friends had already decided if they would forgive Discord, but at the same time, she also wanted to not end the happiness that day was having. She started to think. Maybe it would be better for her to leave that question for another day, since today was the first day with the ex-Legion of Doom, because she knew that if she asked if they would forgive Discord, the happiness her friends were having could change for sadness and even anger. Decided, she went back to eating her sandwich.
