Gaara of the Crystal Sand

Hellos

I opened my eyes to see a white ceiling. I sat up to see myself in a sort of hospital room. I looked out the window, taking in the view of the moon. The last thing that I could remember was using the Feigning Sleep Technique (Play Possum Jutsu) to let Shukaku take control. That's when I noticed it. Shukaku is gone, or at least he's finally shut up. I stood up, wandering around the room. It was as typical as any other room, the only thing out of place was the get well soon items next to my bed. I also noticed a envelope there as well, labeled "Mystery pony."

Dear, Mystery Pony

You are hereby invited to Princess Flurry Hearts 11th birthday party. It took a lot of convincing but my dad said you can come if you remain under constant watch. I can't wait to speak to you tomorrow when you wake up.

Signed, Princess Flurry Heart.

I placed the letter back in the envelope, setting back like it once was. I sat down in a chair in the corner of the room. I simply sat there, contemplating, 'Was Naruto right? Could the bonds of others really make me more powerful than I already am? There's no way he could be right. That idiot tried to fight Shukaku by himself after all. However, it was those bonds that caused him to fight so hard.' That was how my night went. I didn't move from that spot, thinking the same questions over and over again. The most common one, where was Shukaku? I didn't even realize that the sun rose. That was until the door swung open.

Five pony-human things walked in the room. The smallest having a light pink fur with purple and blue hair. She had wings on her back and a her on her forehead. The next had a slightly darker pink fur with dark blue and blonde hair. She as well had wings and a horn. The other three seemed to be made of crystal than actual flesh. One seemed to be a doctor or nurse of some kind while the other two wore crystal armor with a sword at their hip. I guess this explains where Shukaku is. He's still fighting Naruto while I dream. The smallest one ran up to my former bed. She looked slightly scared when she realised it was empty. I stood up, the chair squeaky slightly. Everyone turned to me.

"I see your awake." The taller pink pony said, "I'm Princess Cadence," she motioned to the smaller one, "This is my daughter Flurry Heart." Flurry Heart stepped closer to me.

"Hi! What's your name?" As much as I didn't want to answer I am talking to royalty. Even if it isn't from my land.

"I am Gaara of the Desert from the Land of Wind, the Village Hidden in the Sand. It is a pleasure to meet royalty up close and personal." The doctor walked up to me.

"It's nice to meet you Gaara. We need you to help fill out some medical records." The Questions were simple. Age, gender, blood type. Then it got to a difficult subject, "Alright all that's left is parents. Who is your mother?"

"She died giving birth to me so it doesn't matter."

She looked a little uneasy, "What about your father?"

"He effectively disowned my at age three."

She was getting even more nervous, "What about extended family? Like a uncle."

"I killed my uncle when he tried to assassinate me under my father's orders." The room went deathly quiet. Then Princess Cadence spoke up.

"You shouldn't joke about things like that. I'm not sure how things work where you're from but here you can't make jokes like that." I simply responded by turning to look at her. She grew nervous, "Your not joking are you?" Again I met her with silence. The doctor scribbled something down before leaving. The princess whispered something to one of the guards before they left. "Please, follow me to the ballroom. That's where we are having the party at."

I nodded, grabbing my gourd on the way out. The guard that was still here followed as, albeit at a distance. The other one must have gone to put more guards in and around the ballroom. I crossed my arms on the walk over. Once we got there I found my suspicions to be correct. There were guards stationed everywhere, some even dressed as civilians. They could at least try to not look suspicious. There were at least eight people of interest. Three looked like more princesses and once looked like a prince. I was lead over to them while Princess Flurry went to play with some friends.

The tallest had white fur and a multi colored hair that flew in a invisible breeze; she had wings and a horn. The next one had dark blue fur and hair like the night sky; she also had a horn and wings. Then there was a white male with just a horn and blue hair. He was clearly on edge. The rest didn't interest me.

The white woman spoke, "Hello there, I'm Princess Celestia. This is my sister Luna. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"The pleasure is mine Princess. I am Gaara of the Desert, from the Land of Wind, the Village Hidden in the Sand." Most were surprised.

"That's quite a gravelly voice for one so young," Princess Luna said. She then pointed at something on me, "What does that symbol mean?" I looked down at it to see she was pointing at mt headband.

"It is the symbol of my village. Every shinobi gets one when we graduate from the academy." I could sense a few of the undercover guards approaching me from behind. "Also..." The guards pulled out knives or swords, trying to swing at me. As expected, my sand stopped them before they even got close, "If your going to assassinate me, you can at least try."

I brought my right hand up in a ram seal, "Sand Binding Coffin." The sand in my gourd wrapped around the guards completely. "Sand Waterfall Funeral." I didn't need to turn around. I heard the snapping of bones behind me as I crushed them to death. A few drops of blood landed on Princess Celestia's face.
