The Mane 6, Starlight, Spike, Discord and the former Legion of Doom were now on the train. Applejack was sitting with Rainbow, Pinkie with Starlight and Spike, Fluttershy was with Discord and Twilight was with the ex-Legion of Doom. Twilight was reading a book to distract herself while Chrysalis was cross-hoofed and sulky, she still couldn’t believe she would have to learn about friendship. Cozy was watching the landscape and Tirek had a hand on his chin, meaning he was bored. Fluttershy was struggling not to cry. She couldn’t believe that Discord did that.
Discord heard the sound of crying and saw that Fluttershy was crying, he went to her. “What happened, my dear Fluttershy?”
Fluttershy looked at Discord, still with tears in her eyes. “Discord, why did you do that? Why did you trick me again? ”
Discord was heartbroken to see Fluttershy cry. He went to Fluttershy.
“I’m sorry,” said Discord, sorry. “My intention was not to lie to you.”
Fluttershy was still looking to the side and tears in his eyes. “That’s what you said to me, after we were released from Tirek’s bubbles after you joined Tirek.”
Discord felt as if he had been punched just by remembering Tirek. That time he joined Tirek it seemed like it was still on his mind, but as the days went by with Fluttershy’s company, he managed to forget, but it seems that bad memory has returned. He decided to try to cheer Fluttershy.
“Fluttershy,” Fluttershy looked at Discord, still sad. “Look this!”
Discord snapped his fingers and made dancing flowers appear. The flowers went to Fluttershy’s seat to dance. Fluttershy looked down sadly. Discord decided to approach Fluttershy to hug her. When Fluttershy felt Discord hugging her, she returned the hug while crying.
Everypony on the train stopped what they were doing when they heard crying and looked at where Discord and Fluttershy were sitting, even the ex-Legion of Doom. Applejack and the others approached Fluttershy, worried, except for the three villains, who only observed from a curious distance.
“What happened, sugarcube?” asked Applejack as she was concerned about her best friend.
Fluttershy and Discord looked at Applejack and the others. Fluttershy could feel more tears in her eyes. Discord looked again at Fluttershy, still sad and sorry for having done all that since Celestia and Luna announced their retirement: Because he disguised himself as Grogar and joined a quartet of villains, which in the end, remained just three.
Fluttershy looked away, even more sad. “Applejack ...”
But there was no time for her to finish talking. The driver interrupted her.
“Those who plan to stay in Ponyville can leave!” he said.
Fluttershy and Discord got out of their seats. Applejack didn’t know why Fluttershy was sad, but she intended to find out why. Twilight went to Chrysalis, Cozy and Tirek.
“Let’s go,” said Twilight, before she started walking.
Tirek and Cozy went on normally and without making faces, Chrysalis went sulking and not happy. She couldn’t believe that she would be staying with Twilight and her friends in Ponyville. How pathetic!
Applejack and her friends looked at Fluttershy, still concerned. “Fluttershy, could you tell us why you are crying?”
Fluttershy looked uncertain. She looked down as she cried more.
“I don’t know, Applejack,” replied Fluttershy.
Applejack smiled understandingly. “Fluttershy, you can tell me how you feel. I won’t be mad at you, if that’s what you’re worried about.”
Fluttershy looked at Applejack and her friends, still unsure whether to tell. “I don’t know if I should. You didn’t go through what I did.”
Rarity was confused. “What are you talking about, dear? How come we don’t go through what you do? ”
Fluttershy looked down while thinking. Should she tell? Perhaps she could tell when Discord was not around, since at the moment, his presence was not helping.
“Okay, Applejack. I’ll tell you,” said Fluttershy. “But can it be in a place where Discord is not around?” Discord was surprised by the last sentence. Normally, Fluttershy liked to have him around.
Twilight Sparkle was confused. “But why can’t it be close to Discord, Fluttershy? Did he do anything bad to you? ” Discord started to sweat with nervousness now.
Fluttershy felt more tears in her eyes. “...Yes.”
Pinkie Pie walked in front of Fluttershy with a smile on her face. “Come on, smile!” she caught Fluttershy by the cheeks and smiled. “It can’t be so bad what he did!”
“Where would you like to talk about this, Fluttershy?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
Pinkie Pie released her cheeks Fluttershy. “I think maybe we could talk about it in my cottage,” said Fluttershy. “That if it isn’t too much trouble for all of you.”
“It won’t be a bother for us, Fluttershy.” guaranteed Twilight Sparkle with a smile. Chrysalis rolled her eyes at the phrase from Twilight.
Fluttershy smiled a little hopefully. “Really?”
“Of course not, Fluttershy,” replied Rainbow Dash with a smile.
“Would you like to talk while we go to your cottage or would you like to talk about it only when we get there?” asked Applejack.
“I think I better talk about it when we get to my cottage,” said Fluttershy. “I don’t want the other ponies in town to hear...” she whispered the last sentence.
Twilight Sparkle didn't hear the last sentence. “What?”
“I don’t want the other ponies to hear!” shouted Fluttershy.
Everypony was surprised by the shout, but soon recovered. If that was what Fluttershy wanted, they would respect it. Rainbow was concerned about her best friend. Why was Fluttershy like this? Fluttershy said it was something that involved Discord. She swore that if Discord did something very bad to her best friend, she would…
Upon arriving at Fluttershy’s house, the trio of villains noticed that they had several animals. But when the animals saw the trio, they hid. Chrysalis until she liked that, she always liked to feel superior to others. Fluttershy opened the door and went inside. The others entered together. Fluttershy sat down on the sofa first. Then there were Starlight and Spike, then Mane Six and the ex-Legion of Doom. Discord decided to stay away, since he knew that Fluttershy didn’t want her around now, and also because he was still guilty of what he did.
“Fluttershy, could you tell us how you feel now?” asked Starlight Glimmer in a calm way.
Fluttershy looked at Starlight Glimmer. “Yes. But do you promise not to be mad at me or Discord?”
“Cross my heart, today to fly, stick to cupcake i’m my eye.” everypony except Fluttershy, Discord, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy made Pinkie Promise. The trio obviously didn’t understand what just happened. Why they put the hull on the chest, then pretended that the hoof was a wing and put a him in the eye?
Fluttershy was safer. But just because she was safer, it didn’t mean that she wasn’t sad. She started to cry again. Chrysalis couldn’t help but agree that Fluttershy was too much of a whiner.
“D-do you remember when Discord came to us when we and the princesses were in the throne room?” asked Fluttershy as she cried.
“Yes. Why?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“D-do you remember what he confessed?”
Everypony except Fluttershy, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy started to think. Until they remembered. They looked back at Fluttershy.
“That Discord was disguised as Grogar and that he brought together three villains?” asked Rainbow Dash to be sure.
She looked away, still sad. “Yes. And you know I made him reformed, but he tricked me on me twice. He has already joined Tirek, but although I am saddened by what he did, I was able to forgive him, as he didn't know he was befriending a villain.” Tirek liked Fluttershy about that. “But now that he has disguised himself as Grogar and has joined villains for them to try to dominate Equestria, I don’t even know if I’m going to be able to forgive him.”
Rainbow felt angry at Discord. How dare he betray Fluttershy’s trust, not just once, but twice? She flew up to Discord.
“How dare you make my best friend cry?!” shouted Rainbow Dash.
Discord was surprised by Rainbow Dash’s appearance, but he soon said, “My intention was not to make her cry.”
“Rainbow, dear, calm down.” Discord looked over to where the couch was and saw Rainbow’s friends approach with concerned looks, except Chrysalis smiled at what was going on, Tirek didn’t seem to care so much about what was going on and Cozy seemed to be having fun with the friends’ tantrum that was going on.
“Why should I calm down? He made Fluttershy cry!” Rainbow defended her best foalhood friend.
“But I didn’t want to make her cry, Rainbow. My intention was just to help Twilight get ready for her new role that she was going to have!” explained Discord.
“Discord, I’m sorry to say that, but that’s not what a true friend does,” say Twilight Sparkle sadly.
Discord felt that all the way he did was worth nothing. But he was really sorry.
“But could you forgive me?” Discord put his paws together as if he were pleading.
“We are going to have to think about it better. Fluttershy, is there anything else that bothers you?” asked Rarity as she and the others approached the yellow pegasus.
“No. It was just that. You can go home now,” replied Fluttershy as she looked to the side, sadly. “I also have to think about whether I should forgive him after what he did…” whispered Fluttershy the last sentence. Discord was concerned by what Fluttershy whispered. Didn’t Fluttershy know if she should forgive him after what he did? He had to confess that he was nervous. He hopes Fluttershy forgives him.
All, but Fluttershy and Discord left the cottage.
Twilight Sparkle looked at Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow confusedly. “You three didn’t say anything about what Fluttershy said.”
“And why should we?” asked Chrysalis, not at all pleased with the presence of Twilight as she gritted her teeth.
“You three should care about each other and not just yourself.” explained Twilight Sparkle.
“And why do you care about others?” Tirek asked, not happy as he crossed his arms.
“Because when you care about somepony you're demonstrating that you want their good.”
“Who needs to care about others when you can have power?” asked Cozy Glow with a crazy smile.
Twilight’s ears drooped. Yeah. It wasn’t going to be easy for these three to be reformed, and she too would now have to decide whether she should forgive Discord. She just hoped that as long as she helped the trio to be reformed, she could think about it and maybe learn something about friendship.
