So, that spell of yours. Yeah, that was some cool stuff there.

So it worked? That's good. Is it in the mailbox yet?

Not yet. I just wanted to tell you about it because that really was cool! Going to do it now.

Alright. Just be

Never mind, you're probably already gone.

Just got back. Everything's fine. Nothing ripped, nothing got torn.

Wonderful. I'll go and check my mailbox in just a bit. In the meantime, how's your actual writing assignment going?

I mean, I only wrote my response back less than a week ago. Actually, come to think of it, I don't think I ever thought to get in touch with her online or something. If it's okay with you, I'm going to spend some time looking for her Facebook profile if that's okay with you.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that this Facebook isn't a book of humans' faces?

Right you are. We have things called social networks that allow humans to converse and share info with one another. Think of it like texting, but it's a tad more detailed and features a little more personal information about people and things that we choose to share (hope I don't forget, but there's an extremely good movie about the creation of Facebook I'd love to share with you (obviously, let's wait until you run through these first)).

Of course. I trust any recommendation you can give me and I'll be glad to wait. About getting in touch with this person, Sara, was it? Anyway, is there some kind of rule in the assignment about only being able to write and converse with each other though letters, or is connecting through one of these social networks acceptable too?

I can't say for certain. I'm sure if there was, the teacher would have said something or wrote it in the assignment. Maybe if she knows better, she could tell me. If not, I can always email my teacher or speak to him on Monday to confirm. I can't imagine that it'd be a problem. If the main point is to get to know about someone, then hooking up on Facebook should be straight up encouraged, you know? The letters bit is just to get some extra subtext about them through their penmanship. Besides, if she has a much more active social life than me, she probably won't even bother with my friend request until tomorrow morning, which should hopefully be more than enough time to hear from my teacher about the rules.

But I thought you were already friends. You said she likes a lot of the same stuff you do.

Right, but a friend request on Facebook is just me reaching out to that person online and asking permission if we can see each other's profiles in more depth and get notifications on the stuff we post when we post it. It sounds very mechanical, but it's the best we got when we're separated by several state lines.

I got you, Toby. No worries. I'll go check the mailbox now for the parchment, and we can call it a night tonight. Sound good?

Sounds good. I should also have an ETA (estimated time of arrival if that's not extremely clear) on the Blu-Ray player tomorrow morning too. Enjoy the books!

I'm certain the buildup to them will have been more than worth it. Goodnight, Toby.

Goodnight, Twilight.
