Once the sun has set down every pony was still enjoying the festival even Twilight and her friends even with Rainbow Dash even though she was getting a break before the performance starts. Once darkness has entered every pony walked to the stage. 

"Where is every pony going to?" wondered Twilight.

"I gotta go guys my performance is about to start see you guys there!" said Rainbow while flying to the mountains.

"Lets go to see her perform!" said Twilight.

They walked to the stage where every pony is. They agreed to stay in the back for a better view, they waited for 5 minutes to begin the show, after 5 minutes the lights started  flicking  and smoke sputtered out.

"Ladies and Gentlecolts! Let's us welcome Princess Celestia!!!" said the loudspeaker.

"Wait what?-" said Twilight in surprised 

She had to stay and watch this whole time she has been wondering who this festival was for but with this clue she has now realized that this festival was for her. She stayed still without nobody noticing that this festival was for her.

"Good evening every pony of Equestria!" said Celestia.

Everyone cheered for the princess. Celestia calmed them down to start her speech.

"A few weeks ago, I have lost a student from my studies." said Celestia

The mane 5 looked at Twilight while Twilight was standing there in confusion and furious to hear the news.

"Lets go guys!" said Twilight to her friends 

"So I have made this festival just for her to make her return to me and to presume her studies. To reach her goal I know that I have been so harsh to her after she came back from her mission to save the Crystal Empire from Sombra's darkness and his will. Now I'm making my last and final chance to bring her back. So will Twilight Sparkle come to the stage?" said the princess.

there was silence from the crowd.

"Where is she?"  she thought.

There was no sign of Twilight coming in to the stage.

"SHE'S GONE!!!" cried her other student.

Celestia was in shock. Luna was right about this the whole time and she was so dumb enough to believe her. So she ran towards the crowd pushing them to see if her student was correct. But she was right, Twilight was gone or didn't came to the festival. Right where she was standing she has fainted from her failure.
