Luna was hopping around with joy in the castle, it was almost time for her to raise the moon. 

"I cannot wait to see Flutterbat again, this is going to be a wonderful night" Luna thought.

Luna was excited all day to see her friend again, she barely even slept. She hoped it was going to be a perfect night for them both. Finally Luna raised the moon as soon as the sun was lowered and Luna flew to Fluttershy's home. 

Luna arrived at Fluttershy's house and knocked on her door.

"Flutterbat" Luna called out, "Flutterbat are you there?"

The door opened and there stood Fluttershy. She didn't have red eyes or big fangs or bat like wings, she looked how she normally looked. 

"Princess Luna? What are you doing here, do you need me for something?" Fluttershy asked. 

Luna was puzzled that Flutterbat wasn't here, she thought for sure she would've emerged that night.

"Well I was just-I thought" Luna tried to find the words to say, but couldn't.

"Fluttershy, do you recall transforming into Flutterbat at night?" Luna asked. 
"Oh goodness, no" Fluttershy said, "Twilight cleared that up earlier this morning, we made sure she won't be a bother to anypony else anymore".
"Oh." Luna said disappointed. 

Luna should've realized that some ponies didn't like Flutterbat the way she was; but she was the only one who had bonded with Flutterbat for one night. 

"That's very good news, Fluttershy." Luna said, "I'm glad that the problem was solved, I was just checking to make sure everything was alright." Luna said with a small smile.

The thoughts through Luna's head flooded. She had made a new friend last night and now she could never see her again. But she also thought about how many ponies would be afraid of Flutterbat, and how much food would've been consumed by her. The ponies of Equestria shouldn't suffer because of a vampire bat pony who stalks the night.

"Luna?" said Fluttershy. 
"Yes Fluttershy?" replied Luna.
"I actually remember some things from last night, not everything but some." said Fluttershy. 
"What do you remember?" Luna asked curiously.
"Well I remember eating apple pies, and looking up at the stars; I remember you being there with me." Fluttershy said, "The only reason I wanted to take Flutterbat away is because I didn't want to hurt anypony or ruin everything for them."

Luna was glad that Fluttershy had the same idea as she did. The world was better off without Flutterbat.

"Well, I'm glad she's gone for good, you did the right thing by ending it." Luna said. 
"Chances are I'm still going to ruin somepony's day and night." said a voice.

Luna spun around and saw Flutterbat standing right behind her, she was there but Fluttershy was also there at the opposite end in her home. 

"What?" Luna said surprised, "How can you be here?"
"Well I know how much Flutterbat meant to you." Fluttershy said, "I didn't wanna ruin what u had by destroying Flutterbat, so Twilight used a spell to split us apart so we can have separate lives." 

Luna started to tear up and hugged Fluttershy tight, "Thank you Fluttershy, this was a great deed you had done." Luna said. "Don't I get a hug?" Flutterbat said a little annoyed.

Luna and Flutterbat hugged and flew off together. Luna was glad she could see her friend all the time now, Luna now had a best friend she could spend time with besides her sister and The Mane Six. Luna loved bats and she loved Flutterbat too.
