//------------------------------// // Chapter 1: They Went That'a Way // Story: From the Wastes to the Greens (Rewrite in progress) // by Viirtax Skannus //------------------------------// You know living in the Mojave is terrible. If anyone had a chance to leave and go somewhere else, they'd take it, and that's where we find Courier Six, the Mojave's Savior. Sitting around doing nothing wanting to go out and find a better life, he may have everything, the NCR protecting New Vegas, Caesar's Legion is dead and scattered, the Boomers are the Mojave's, Air Force, the casino's on the strip fear and respect him enough to give him a cut of the profits, hell he even has his friends by his side. Craig Boone, an ex NCR First Recon, Veronica Santangelo, an ex Brotherhood of Steel Scribe, Rose of Sharon Cassidy, an alcoholic and ex caravan guard, Raul Tejada a gunslingin' ghoul, and of course Rex, his cyber dog best friend, all of them have helped him protect the Mojave one way or another, and he couldn't thank them enough. But he was tired of upholding the Wastes; he wants a new adventure, one that's not full of bloodshed just him, his mates, and a glass of Nuka Cola. Six got up from his chair facing the strip and went down to the presidential suite to meet up with his friends; he was leaving Yes Man in charge from now on, they were getting ready to leave, Six went to his armory. He put on his NCR Veteran Ranger armor; the First Recon Beret Boone gave him, and a pair of authority glasses. The weapons he was taking with are the only ones he used during his time in the Mojave, Maria, a 9mm handgun that was used to put two bullets in his head, Lucky a .357 magnum, a long barrel heavy-duty cylinder .357 revolver, a heavy frame .44 magnum, The Mysterious Magnum another .44 revolver, That Gun a handgun chambered in 5.56; a .45 auto SMG, Sleepytyme a 10mm SMG, Survivalist's Rifle an automatic rifle chambered in 5.56, a sturdy caravan shotgun chambered in 20 gauge, a lever-action shotgun also chambered in 20 gauge, a broad machete, a hunting knife, and finally his two most powerful guns, an Anti Material Rifle chambered in the most terrifying round 50 BMG, this bullet can go straight through building destroying the wall to negate cover for his enemies and considering he leaves holes bigger than a human body, yeah killing Deathclaws with this thing is easy, and finally his most hated and loved handgun Ranger Sequoia chambered in 45-70 govt. The 45-70 govt., in the past, was used for hunting elephants, and could kill one in a single shot, and was typically shot out of a rifle, but then someone decided to put it in a revolver cause fuck you and anyone behind you. He went back to the others, "You guys ready to take off?" he asked, they nodded, "Yeah, can't believe we're actually doing this," Boone said, "gonna miss this place, there's something I thought I'd never say." He chuckled, as did the others, "Well then, let's get going then," Six said with a small smile, they gathered enough food and water to last them at least six months. Hopefully, they'd be somewhere with supplies by that point, but that's far away at the moment, as the six heroes left the casino, Yes Man said his goodbyes as did Victor. The whole strip knew their saviors were going, the citizens were crying as they waved goodbye, as were the NCR soldiers. The most influential people have just left New Vegas in search of a new adventure, how will it go? Will it end in sorrow? Happiness? Death? Who knows, only God knows, and so far, he's smiled upon the Heroes, and he'll continue to do so. They passed by many places they've been to in the past, Jacobstown, Primm, Mojave Outpost, and all the way back to Goodsprings to say goodbye to the friends they've made. They went to Big MT to talk to the Think Tank about using Transportalponder to go somewhere far away from the Mojave, they agreed, though they had to upgrade it to a larger device instead of the handheld one. It took the Think Tank a week to do so, they are the smartest beings in the Mojave after all. When all was said and done, the Courier and co were blasted out of the Mojave by the teleportation beam device thing. No one knows where they were sent to, not even the Think Tank, but that's what the heroes wanted, they wanted to be surprised to not be found by anyone for a while until they were truly needed once more, given that the NCR has everything under control at the moment, as well as Yes Man being in Charge of the Strip, nothing could go wrong. Right? Somewhere Else Here we see a planet, the polar opposite of Earth, full of lush green fields, trees, snow, and humans. Well, more of anthropomorphic ponies, but I digress. In a castle on this lively planet, we see two sisters sitting on a shared throne, listening to another stuck up noble asking to lower the minimum wage that is until the sisters notice somethings wrong in the air, a surge of magic just went off in the Everfree Forest. They nodded at each other, "I'm sorry my little ponies, but the Day Court must be canceled for something more significant needs our attention," Princess Celestia apologized, as her sister, Princess Luna, wrote a letter to Princess Twilight Sparkle asking her to gather the other Elements of Harmony. "What do you think could've caused the surge, sister?" Luna asked as they both got up from their throne to go to Ponyville, Celestia looked at her, "I don't know, could've been anything, but seeing as it's just after Tirek's attack. I only hope nopony else escaped Tartarus, or else we might be facing King Sombra again," Celestia answered, just the thought of Sombra returning immediately after Tirek was enough to make her shudder, but now they must meet with the Elements and figure out who it is that caused the surge in magic, and if they pose a threat they shall be dealt with swiftly.
